The best professor/techer I've ever had, his classes are wonderful, but beware: his classes require alot of note taking.
lots of interesting info, semi-difficult tests, easy group work, LOTS OF NOTE TAKING!
gives lots of notes, he lectures and you have to write about 4-6 pages of notes a class. very intresting profressor and class. you learn alot of the class, he test you on your notes
Great teacher, took him for AMH2010, AMH2020, WOH1010. All the material comes from his notes, reading is only ever supplementary. Ever once and a while he'll take a question out of the book otherwise 5 pages of notes and he teaches for the full 1:15
his method of teaching is great. there is a lot of notes to take..I would advise who takes him to invest in a tape recorder..you won't regret it. read the book..some stuff will be on the test.Best stories ever..I took him 3yrs ago I still remember!!
If you want a professor who has a real passion for teaching, this is the guy! Lots of notes make up for the fact that there is very little homework. Studying can be a bit overwhelming, but you will be glad you took him in the end!
Great teacher! My favorite at PBCC. Very helpful. Easy to understand. Little HW. Lots of notes though so DO NOT miss a class. I learned the most in this class than any other class I've ever taken at PBCC.
Very Easy just notes and a few tests
One of the best history classes I have ever taken in my life. Little homework, just study a little each night and you will pass the class with an A.
tests are hard! 4 pages of notes everyclass, kind of boring for 1st period. only 3 tests, beware! unless you love history, take him.
Amazing man. This class was the best history class I have ever taken in my life.He is so charasmatic and loves what he teaches. He really sucks you in and keeps you intrested in every word that comes out of his mouth.I tried to fall asleep and couldn't, he was too damn intresting. Study, take notes.
This class was great. If you dont like notes your in trouble though. Very little home work. He is a very fair teacher and gave me the opprotunity to turn in a late assignment to up my grade. only 3 tests so STUDY!. STUDY! Take good notes, do hw, easy A.
GREAT TEACHER! His knoweldge on history is just amazing, but he does give a lot of notes, about 2 or 3 pages a class, and not a lot of homework. If you pay attention, and look over your notes before the test, you should be fine. Also, the tests are big; they cover a lot of material, so study!
Professor Smith is an excellent teacher, and is very passionate about what he is teaching. He is sometimes unclear with his assignments, but if you stay after he always is willing to help. He is also very bad with getting papers, quizes, and things like that back to you. Overall he's great!
The best history teacher I had in my life. Goes in depth on the information he is teaching you and will answer questions you have if you don't understand clearly. Couple of research assignments to do but are easy to accomplish. Note taking and studying frequently is a must for this class.
If you like history, take this class. Prof. Smith is by far one of the the greatest instructors at Gardens. His ability to go into great depth and his passion to teach makes you want to learn more. Be prepared to stay for full class and take plenty of notes. (Not a hard course if you attend)
knows alot about what he's teaching but boring. it felt like the class was 5 hours long but was only 1hr 45mins. not many tests but you need to know ALOT of info. TONS of notes!!!
TAKE LOTS OF NOTES. PAY ATTENTION. ATTEND CLASS. Thats all you'll need to know when taking this course with Smith. Loves his craft, and knows EVERYTHING about history. Can be a funny guy and can be very understanding.
GREAT PROFESSOR. Very interesting class. Lots of notes with his lectures but I didn't care. He is very passionate about his teachings. Very very smart man. Take him if your loking to major in History. Do the work and speak up in class for great grades.
he gives alot of notes like 5-10 pages a class his test are HARD even if you study hes a really nice guy but he knows to much and expects you to know the same dont take this class if you have alot of other classes
this teacher is awesome! I took him in an express semester and his classes were long and my hand hurt by the end, but i learned so much more than i did in any of my other five classes combined that semester! definitely a class worth taking
Like everyone is saying, he will make you take alot of notes, but you will learn about of intresting things. Take him if your intrested in History, otherwise it might become laborsome.
Great teacher, very interesting and gives ver good leacutures. Your sure to do well if you listen take notes (lots of notes) and study for tests.
As all have said, alot of notes, tests are hard espically if you dont study, but you learn a verry large amount and he's kinda fun. You can tell he's a democrat and a evolutionist, so that may help on the decision to take him or not.
This teacher is a libral who does not like anyone who disagrees with his opinions, talks bad about America, glorifies Europe, says americans are prudish, dislikes christianity, and uses biblical statements falsly to make God and Christians look ridiculess. He is also hard and has no clue or organization for his test. I never seen some of my grades
He is amazing!!!
Lots of notes, mostly on PowerPoint. If you’re even remotely interested in history, I would recommend his class. I walked into his AMH 2010 Honors class not even the least bit interested in early American history; now, three semesters later, I’ve taken enough of his history courses to qualify me for a history minor. Very structured; I dare say fun.
Great teacher class is easy if you study. He gets a little into his lectures which takes getting used to.
his class is easy but u have to take notes on every word that comes out of his mouth, hes really knows alot about history, great teacher, but you have to pay attention EVERY day, you cant really miss his classes...
He gives you printouts of all the notes to follow along which is helpful. I love how the Bible-Thumping Right-Wing Christians always have something to say the minute someone doesn't smell like a Christian. Go to class.
he is a good teacher if you like history. i didn't like it at first but now it isn't that bad.he gives you outlines and everything. i would recommend prof. Smith
very clear. must take a lot of notes, but printouts are given which are very helpful. definitely recomended to those who enjoy history.
very into his class, knows what he's talking about, very helpful. easy class, but you have to goto all classes, and take very good notes. final is not cumulative. term papers are easy. he makes class fun! highly recommended.
great teacher, he really knows what he's talking about. tests are easy if you really study your notes. TAKE THIS CLASS!
This class covers a lot of material on the tests. Don't miss any days and take good notes. You will be e.xpected to read the entire textbook with the exception of one chapter. Other than that, this teacher is very passionate and enthusiastic. He makes history fun and exciting!
I found him boring and would start to zone off into space alot. I thought the tests were really hard, he doesn't tell you really what to study. would just tell the class to study all the notes, which is alot of material to study. only tells you the class before the test, which isnt enough time to study.
This is one of the most boring and most difficult classes i have ever taken in my life! DO NOT take this class.
Prof Smith is a great guy! He is very nice and willing to help you. He lectures and his test will be hard if you do not study the notes. The book is used for one assignment (you have to get 3 websites from the book and rate them) So save your money and borrow someones book for 5 minutes. You do have to sign in 1/2 way through class
HE'S A GOOD TECAHER BUT HIS TESTS ARE FREAKING IMPOSSIBLE, SERIOUSLY, IF YOU LIKE TO FAIL A CLASS I SUGGEST YOU TAKE THIS COURSE. DO NOT TAKE IT JUST AS SOME POINTS FOR YOUR MAJOR.
HOLY CRAP! if youre one of those students who just cant get enough of history than this is the class for you. You take too many notes and the tests dont reflect at all what was taught in class. i love history, but in this class he beated it to death, so to summarize, you want to loose brain cells take this class, if you dont leave now!
Class is very boring and he Does not give a lot of work. you take four tests that are very hard and that's what determine's your grade. Does not give test reviews. If you do poorly on tests you will not pass. He doesn't seem interested in helping his students at all.
This class is awesome! Professor Smith is such a great teacher because he has a passion for history, and he has so many interesting stories that I'd never heard before about people that are very famous. The only time you use the textbook is for a paper you write, and if you want to, to study. I never used it for studying, and I got an A. I very highly recommend taking this class, you won't regret it!
He is an amazing teacher. Some kids don't find his lectures interesting because they just want to learn what they have to and get out, but he helps you understand the people in history better. It's a class for real history buffs, and for anyone who likes a good story. Very helpful, but he expects you to go to him for help, not the other way around.
Professor Smith is an AMAZING teacher. Easily one of the smartest people at pbcc. He has a passion for history. You learn a lot in his lectures, but they're very intense. His papers are easy and you start with a couple of easy tests. The end gets very hard though. Go to class. Read the book. Study your notes... Not a class for slacking
He is awesome! Totally makes history interesting, even if I didn't like it before. Take notes, though, and try to not miss class, because one day can set you off with studying. He's totally cool though. If you do the work and read your notes for tests, you'll be fine.
Great guy, and even better teacher. Great lectures, you kinda sit back and enjoy his stories. you have to like history to enjoy it. not that much work, 2 papers and 4 tests (one being the final)..great class
i DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW YOU COULD GIVE THIS TEACHER A GOOD REVIEW. HIS TEST ARE HARD. BY MID TERM EXAM MY CLASS HAD DROPPED TO HALF.DO NOT TAKE THIS BORING CLASS.
This guy knows history! I found it really intresting. Watch out for the tests though. They are tough! I only got a C in the class.
I know a lot of people say his tests are hard but, if you actually go to class(Shocker Huh!) and you just sit back and pay attention, you will do great! He even gives you the notes. Like, printed out. If I havn't already taken all the history I need, I would most definately take Mr. Smith again he was Fantastic!
Good Teacher, has good open door policy during office hours. Goes over tests if you need it. Tests are a bit hard, but you have to figure out what he wants out of the notes. Overall, very knowledgeable about history.
I LOVE HIM. he was such an amazing teacher. He was so passionate and one of the smartest teachers I have ever met in my life. If you do not pay attention the class is hard. Most of the test is right of the notes that he prints for you and explains to you. He makes everything so clear and is an amazing teacher. you take 3 test 2 quizes and 1 paper.
he is a great teacher if you can deal with story time. i think he is a great teacher. if you study and take the tests you should have no problem. I would recommend him to anyone!
Great history teacher but his tests are hard. I would take again because he makes the class so interesting for students.
Amazing professor, yes he does teaches off power point but mainly the test comes from the notes you take. You must apply time into studying each day in order to receive an A. Overall he is a great professor and helped me learn a lot in history that i hadn't comprehended before in high school. He is real understanding and helpful. Take him!
Great teacher! He does have extensive notes, 3-4 pages per class. being in class is imperitive if you want a good test grade. The tests come straight from the class notes. You don't really need the book unless you miss a class and want to catch up. He makes history interesting. You will learn alot!
He is a nice person but not a great teacher. There's way too many notes and he just keeps talking. His notes aren't that great. He'll just write small points and talk about it you have to write what he's saying but it's hard because he talks so fast. Tests aren't like notes at all and when you get the test your mind goes blank and make you go huh??
Professor Smith is clear, concise, knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. Be forewarned that you will take extensive notes in this class (about 2-3pgs) per class. His tests contrary to popular belief are actually fairly easy. I did not use the book once and as long as you take solid notes and pay attention in class you will have no problem.
He doesn't give you any homework so if your not good with tests your S.O.L. I did not use the book once. What a waist of money! You will have to study everyday if you want to pass this class!
This student commenting beneath me has it all wrong. Prof. Smith was never monotone when I took him and he definitely gave a review. He's the most enthusiastic professor I've ever had. He doesn't get off topic, he just adds side stories to the current one to make it more fun. and the book isn't used because it isn't needed, he tells you everything.
CONTINUED FROM BELOW:Professor Smith is an amazing professor as I have said before but he's no cake walk. You WILL take a lot of notes but I'm a slow writer and even I got the notes. make sure to write down what he SAYS though. oh, and he only meets at office hours because that is when he works Mr. educated...GREAT prof, My brother and I both agree
90% of his exam questions are from note you take in class. if you take good note you will pass A
I had an interest in this course but found a passion after taking Smiths class. He provides all ppt material online so I just printed and brought to class to take notes so not to lose focus of his lectures, which are the BEST parts!!! He sets the bar, PBSC lucky to have him.
Great teacher and class. If you "like" history even a little, he is fabulous. If you don't or have a bad memory, maybe Prof. Smith is not for you. Lots of notes, but tests are right from them. Paper is not difficult. Loved it!!!!
Great teacher and class. If you "like" history even a little, he is fabulous. If you don't or have a bad memory, maybe Prof. Smith is not for you. Lots of notes, but tests are right from them. Paper is not difficult. Loved it!!!!
I was very surprised I got a B, so I guess the class isn't too difficult. I really enjoyed his class and his teaching style.
He's an amazing teacher and definitely knows what he's talking about! It's like you're in story time again. Just the way he teaches everything is so clear and fluid. Definitely a very interesting class even if you're not into history! His tests are tricky and you do need to study for them, but overall I'd highly recommend this professor to anyone!
This guy is the man! Homeboy is full of energy and charisma. Makes history interesting.
This professor is great, and he really cares about his students. If you love history you will love it even more and if you hate history you will learn to love it. Smith is tough and you have to work for a good grade, but thats college. If you show up take notes and study you should get an A or a B. Highly Recommend, book is not needed.
Great story teller makes some things about history interesting. The tests are hard though and actually require a lot of studying. He does not give a review for the tests NOTES ARE EVERYTHING!! attendance is important since the book is not used you need the notes.
Very articulate. I enjoyed his teaching style, which is lectures. So if you are not good with lecture style classes I would avoid it. Very good at telling stories and making class fun. Great professor, will take again!
Great teacher! I usually HATE history but i really enjoyed it becuase he is so excited about talking about it. Lecturing style. I would take him again.
Without question one of the best professors at PBSC. Lot of note taking but a really laid back professor. If you study you're notes only, you should pass with flying colors. I have taken 3 classes with him and yes he is that good at what he does
Honestly one of the best history teachers. He is very passionate about history, which allows you to follow along in class. His powerpoints are very simple and to the point. I personally never wrote notes I just listened and paid attention. His tests are pretty easy as long as you either take notes or listen your fine. No homework. One easy essay.
God, How is everyone else getting such great experiences with him? Lectures the entire class, then tests on material not discussed during these endless lectures.
Awesome class and one of my favorite teachers! It is a note taking class so you write a lot. Tests are easy, come straight from notes. Prof. Smith is an excellent story teller and has a way of keeping you interested (it helps if you like history).
Probably one of my favorite professors. He loves what he does and it shows! I would tell everyone to take him! Theres only a handful of grades, three tests, and a writing paper. You should probably study for his tests though.
Great Professor, I hate History class! The only thing I think about when History comes to mind is, ZzZzZzZ! Professor Smith really made this class easy, as well as something to look forward to! As everyone else mentioned, he's a great story teller! Loves hearing about your history(family, etc.) if you have the time to tell him lol. Take him!!!!!
I struggled in this course. I mean the professor himself knows what he is talking about but there is a lot of notes, it's overwhelming. He does provide powerpoints online, however they don't help you unless you were in class because they only say key points and words. You must be there taking notes to study, or you will fail trust me.
Seriously!? Lot's of notes and he knows the material. Only lectures no homework, 4 tests, and one paper! Seems simple right? Not so much! I am a hard working student and passed all my other classes with A's or B's! NOT this class! SMH!!
I HATE history, BUT and yes a Hugh BUT! I LOVE his class. He makes it so fun. He Loves to tell stories and interact with students. But here's the problem, notes are EVERYTHING, At times it can get up to 10 pages full of notes. So if you're good at remembering then this should be a breeze. All in all, it's not bad, (T.T)I already miss his class!!!!!
Great teacher. Yes, he gives a great deal of notes, but he WILL let you record the lecture if you want - just ask, so no excuse not to have a complete class. Test ?s come right from notes. He is straight forward. Take him!!
Smith rules. I was dreading this class but he keeps it interesting, and he is very energetic. You HAVE to write down EVERYTHING he says because that is where the tests come from. Don't miss a class because that is 5 pages of notes you won't get back, unless you copy someone else's. I never bothered with the text book, but you must study the notes!
Gives lots of notes. Be sure to take and review them before the tests. Tests aren't too hard if you study
Really great professor, his tests are exactly what he goes over, as long as you follow along and write down the notes the class is pretty easy. I learned SO much about history and the class was relaxing and fun.
good speaker well diverse in history dose not add to much opinion mostly the facts. no homework! study for test or you will struggle. must take notes over all had a lot of fun taking this class, enjoy!
I typically don't rate my professors, buuut this professor was very hard for me. He clearly loves history, and knows alot, but his tests were around 70 questions and very hard. He gives a TON of information and rarely repeats himself so it was hard to follow!
He knows his history for sure. Doesn't slow down or repeat any notes, which he has a lot of, reviews dont help and tests are over 60 questions
A great professor. If you are interested in this subject this is the professor to take. This is college, study and take class seriously and you will be fine. Test are entirely from the notes given in class, I did fine in his class wo the text book. He has loaner texts if needed for use in class.
squeezes a TON of information in one class lecture and talks very fast. VERY difficult tests if you don't remember dates, details, etc. requires A LOT of notes & studying to pass his class. Only gives 3 tests the whole semester and a final exam. Never gave extra credit or one homework assignment the whole semester to help cushion grade.
Very good professor his work is easy as long as you study you should pass his tests are directly from the lectures. His teaching is excellent i would defitnetly take this professor again.
Beware of this teacher, I wouldn't take him for any subject. He's there for the money, he could literally care less about any of his students. In all honesty, this professor shouldn't even be teaching. He says inappropriate comments and is very aggressive and makes you feel uncomfortable.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! It will be the worst decision you could make. I never go on this website or out of my way to be-little anyone but I think its right for everyone (considering you are paying for this class out of your own pocket) to know how horrible this professor is. He will fail you.
Would never take this professor again, long boring lectures and thee hardest tests ever, everyone in my class struggled. I wish i came on here before I chose this professor, cause obviously he's not a good option considering everything else I read on here about him.
Would recommend another Professor other than this one for history.
He has long drawn out lectures. & He also thinks he's funny but he's not.
I HATE history, but LOVE this professor! His tests are exactly what he goes over in the class. He has a strong passion for history and is an overall great professor. Highly recommend!
Great Proffessor, it's like story time every class, he's super interactive and very kind! approachable and understanding
Horrible professor
Mr. Smith was an amazing professor. He is extremely helpful and a very relaxed teacher. He doesn't mind if you forgot an assignment at home and will let you turn it in the next class. If you take a lot of notes, you'll do fine on the tests and he barely gives out homework. I would definitely take him again!
History is not my strong subject. He truly loves history and has a passion for it . His lectures are really long and goes pretty fast, I printed the notes out before hand. His tests are very hard and are about 55 questions, he does not curve anything. There was a group project. Some of the finer details from the test come straight from the book.
Boring lectures, and doesn't care about his students. I wouldn't take again.
Very nice professor, just wish his tests weren't so difficult! Your only grades in the class are the tests and a few homework assignments so basically if you don't do well on the tests, you won't pass the course. There is a lot of reading required so be ready for it and it's a very hard class so be ready to work for that A!
horrible class
Professor Smith is by far my favorite professor at PBSC. He was always engaged in his lectures and truly loves the material he covers. He gets so excited about some of it! His tests are 95% from his lectures. I recommend him even if history isn't your subject. Come to class, take notes, get his notes online, and pass.
Choose a different professor, or a different subject.
NOT an easy A class but overall great professor, incredibly knowledgable. The tests are basically your only grades besides a group presentation, so it's important to study hard and take good notes for this class.
would never take again worst professor at palm beach state
This professor has the worst teaching style ever. Doesn't take time to help students out. Would not take again.
As you can see, most disliked professor
Wouldn't consider taking
he's a good teacher but the only grades you get are the tests, and if you're failing the tests he doesn't have any extra credit or any help for you besides talking to him after class about the tests . also the tests hard and based on things he says not so much the power points so you really have to be interested in history in order to do good
Mr. Smith was very thorough. Very very knowledgeable about his profession. Always available when needed. Eager to explain or clear misunderstandings. Funny and down to earth. Patient.
Take notes in lecture and you will pass. People who got poor grades were the people who didn't try. Pay attention to lecture, take notes, study before tests. Don't be lazy and you will do fine.
The notes that he posts online hardly have any information on it. If you want to pass you need to be there every single class and take notes on what he is saying not what is on the power points. His tests are hard and all he does is lecture and read off of the power point slides.
Professor Smith lectures from the beginning to the end of class, do not skip class, take good notes, read the assigned pages, and you WILL pass this class. There is no extra homework, and there is no group work! Definitely take again.
This class made me realize that I may actually like history. Professor Smith told history like it was a story, making it interesting and inviting. Most of his grading comes from tests and participation. If you're a good note taker you will pass this class with easy. He does ask you to purchase the book, but I personally never used it.
I would never never take Sean Smith again. No homework to help balance if you do bad on tests. I've met with him after class several times asking what I could do to help study more effective and what I could do to raise my grade. He does not help with anything. I've never had a professor who won't help some how. DO NOT TAKE
Took this class for US History +1865 this past semester. Very knowledgeable and animated professor. A normally boring subject was made interesting by what he had to say and how he handled it. His powerpoints are supplementary; essentially ALL test Qs are from his talks, so pay attention. Tests 50Q, MC. Be a good student and he'll reciprocate!
(US History to 1865). Friendly, very smart, teaches with depth, makes it interesting. He never bored me. Very little homework. Textbook is unnecessary. VERY test-heavy. You MUST attend lectures and take notes. Course isn't hard; just a lot of info to remember. I'm usually an A student and I got B's in this class. Still, it's all good.
Only teacher I have ever had a problem with out of my two years of school. His test questions are not accurate to what he will tell you to read. Staying after class for questions is a joke. I do not understand how he is teaching. If it requires waiting until another semester avoid him at all cost.
Very nice professor its a very hard class1 To do well you must study non stop. Only 3 tests barely any extra credit to boost your grade if you fail a test. His test questions are multiple choice BUT aren't easy and do not come directly from his lectures. If you have a chance to take another professor I would unless you like a challenge..
this teacher, is one of the best teachers i have ever had. not to much homework but definitely study! tests are multiple choice, and mostly go off of his lectures. Record the class and take notes off of what he says and you will do fine. If you aren't prepared to take the test, tell him and he will let you take it another time! awesome teacher
Great professor that's very kind and respectable to all. Lots of good lectures, for upcoming tests (3-4 chapters in a test). Little homework, so doing good on the tests is a must. Tough class, but I would take it again. I learned a lot and liked professor Smith ( :
If you come in with a decent foundation in American history the class shouldn't be a problem. Tests are entirely based off of the lecture which is convienient. Just make sure to take good notes (you also have the option to record if you need to). His lectures are long but he manages to keep you engaged and laugh every now and then.
I LOVED this professor! He loved what he was teaching, so it made it interesting. You don't need to read if you showed up, took good notes, and understood the material. Only has the tests and one or two assignments, so you need to study for the tests.
This the class where you learn all this information and only have 5% of it be on the test. Do not get this teacher you will have to work your ass off to pass. The whole semester grades are 4 exams thats it no extra work to help. Nothing. Hes no help either so be aware.
I took professor Smith spring 2018. One of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very lecture heavy but you can tell he is excited about what he teaches and wants everyone to succeed. The book is recommended but honestly not necessary to have. You have one group project at the end of the semester. I would take him again in a heart beat!
He's your basic professor lectures till class is over and leaves. If you do have to miss a class then FIND SOMEONE to give you the notes. If not when you take the test you'll be confused on a large section of it.
I took him for US history 1865-Present, and he was a great teacher for me since I'm fascinated with History. For others I can see where he can be a bit boring since his lectures take up 90% of the class time, but you can tell he really likes his job and the subjects at hand. I wish there was more work outside of the tests though.
Amazing guy, loves his job very much and teaches very well. 95% of the class is taking notes, gives a couple homework assignments where you define something. Pretty much all of your grade is your tests though so do not skip class and seriously study your notes. would recommend reviewing notes after every class because theres a lot you will forget
Lectures every class, doesn't give study guides, tests cover over 300 pages of text and no study structure is presented hard to be ready for a test when you have no specific chapter references.
You can read the book from cover to cover but if you don't pay attention to the minor details, you will fail. He is a great professor but his tests are the hardest things on earth.
prof smith really cares about history and you can tell as soon as he starts talking. This class is really lecture heavy, so if you skip you won't pass the class also his test is 95% of his lectures so make sure that you take good notes and study before every test if you do that you will pass
This professor is one of the most passionate professors in the school. He is very lecture heavy but it is worth it because he has so much enthusiasm that it helps the class stay together. His homework is incredibly easy and the test are from the notes. This class is an easy A
TAKE HIM!!! he is an amazing professor and is truly passionate about teaching history. this class made me love history and become so interested in it. he is so kind and genuinely wants his students to do well. you learn SO much from his lectures he's very knowledgeable and thorough. take good notes and study and you will definitely get an A.
Professor Smith is awesome! I'm not someone who liked history but Professor Smith made it interesting with his lectures. It was never a boring class, he loves to talk about history. The book is technically required but I found that the lectures makes up 95% of the tests. Take good notes and pay attention. Very little hw. I would take him again!
Don't bother registering.
Took his class remotely. Most of the work is done outside out of class, which mainly consists of PPT notes, easy writing assignments & reading the textbook (which is free online but not really needed). Hes very nice & will help anyone if they need it. Not too hard of a class, just take good notes of his PPTs lectures (which are long) & you'll pass.
On class days he normally just gives you the notes and homework for the week, 15 minutes tops. Very heavy on notes, I took about 40+ pages of notes. Tests really are based on how well your notes are written. Thats it. Some mini assignments are posted throughout the semester but he is a really good history professor very passionate about history.
Such a sweet man! You could tell he's really there for his students and is very patient. I took his class online so most of the work I did on my own time, but it's mainly powerpoints and reading the textbook. I don't know if this is different if you take his class in person, but all tests are open notes.
AMH2020 has 4-5 exams with assignments in between. The assignments are easy and short. Essentially mini research papers. I took the class online which I'm going to assume was easier than if I did it in person. Tests aren't hard at all but you do have to study his powerpoint lectures. Open note exams though! Little extra credit but he's so flexible.
