He's a really cool professor. He connects with his students. His speaking assignments are different, creative and fun which I felt made public speaking easier and more comfortable for me. I definitely recommend anyone to take his class, you wont' be disappointed.

This professor is very cute. He specifies what he needs for this class and you just do what he asks for you will get good grades. Trust me take his HUC106 public speaking class. He's never tough at giving grades.

Being that this is my first year at La Guardia, I wasn't very confident with socializing or speaking with strangers. However that all changed when I got to this class. In such a short time Pieciak created a warm and welcoming setting allowing us to express our passions and intelligence. P.S he loves magnets and tattoos. Great Guy. Great Class!

His teaching style is laid back and easy going, and he likes emphasizes concepts with real life examples. He will also sometimes go on tangents to tell a joke or talk about sports but he is very serious about homework assignments and attendance. For better or worst he will check on you for assignments and provide feedback when possible.

He is very clear on what he wants and expects of you. he walks you through every assignment. He doesnt accept late work at all like ever and attendance is really important to him. He is cute and doesnt look like your typical professor. If you get him a magnet like I did he will love u forever. Take his class its a lot of fun.

Honestly one of the greatest professors I've ever had. He's unbelievably understanding and honest with you no matter what. His class may be unusual, but if you take him seriously, he will do the same for you. He may seem easy going, but he is not lenient with deadlines, DO NOT EVEN TRY. He is clear about it from day one! Honestly if you really dont want to take public speaking but you have to, please take it with this professor. He's hilarious. One of the best prof I ever had in LAGCC! The speeches are simple and he makes the fun to do and easy! However NO LATE HW AT ALL. Tbh easy a if you put effort. Even tho not much effort needed. But please take him!

Proffesor Pieciak is awesome. He's my age and from the same neighborhood as me so it was easy to relate and understand his references and humor in class. Overall this class was fun and if you put in work and show respect to the proffesor and other students you'll earn an A. By the third class i was over my fear of speaking in front of other people.

I loved this class so much, the professor was a sweetheart. He gave one student who just moved here spoons because he didn't have any and he also gave another student's son a dinosaur notebook. Besides being nice, he is also a great teacher, very funny, and young. He's not what I expected at all based on past profs, he's a real gem.

This is first time, I am ever rating any professor. i loved every single class. Stage freight had always been my problem but this class actually helped. I felt more confident. Very friendly, cool professor I have ever had. I already recommended few of my friends to take his class. and will be recommending more. Work on time and do your work, get A.

My favorite class this semester. This professor is very straight forward about what he wants and expects and he's serious when it comes to assignments. But he is funny af, I laughed every class. While he's funny he doesn't play around with attendance or late work, don't expect to pass if you try with him either.

The only thing you do in the class is presentations. There are 3 main presentations that are easy and he does activities to help overcome stage fright. THERE IS NO FINAL. I advise you to take his class if you are thinking about taking public speaking. You won't regret it.

The sports course was amazing!! We sat around in a circle and talked sports and then worked at the radio station. Definitely take it if you're a football or basketball fan

I took his Sports Communication class and yes it's a class that revolves around sports. This professor is a breeze provided you show up to class and hand in your assignments on time. If you don't he makes it clear that you won't pass. Broadcasting was interesting. He challenges you to think for yourself and analyze media around you.

Prof Pieciak is a no nonsense type of guy. He gives you his expectations on day one and those include to be there on time and no late work. (ever) There's always a week for each assignment and a lot of it is personal or your opinion. If you're willing to follow his policies the class is easy. If you don't, its not gonna be easy. I love this man so much. This was the only class I ever looked forward to while in Laguardia. If you love sports especially football or basketball and have the chance to take HUC 127 take it. He makes everything so funny but yet you actually learn. Just pay attention and listen to his directions and its easy.

Great guy, really cares about his students and goes the extra mile for them. Hes always willing to talk after class and offer advice from anything about school or life. Not your typical professor looks wise, covered in tattoos and piercings so expect that. Very young too but he has a lot to teach you in a different way.

If you follow instructions, listen for the clues he gives during class, and attend your classes with minimal lateness then you are guaranteed an A. Not very difficult but pay attention to detail because those are the things the he looks for when grading assignments. Also make sure that you send your work to him on time, no late work accepted.

This class was sooooooo easy! He gives at least a week for every assignment, grades quickly, and posts announcements on Blackboard explaining every thing step by step. Just submit the work on time since no late work is taken. Its really not that hard.

BEST ONLINE CLASS EVER, highly recommended! There were weekly Blackboard announcements with clear directions in them, he's available on email within a few hours, sometimes even minutes, provided examples for major assignments. He seems like a really nice guy even though we never met face to face. Only warning, no late assignments accepted.

You will never find another professor like Sebastian. From his assignments to his directions to his personality during class hes simply the best. He makes his lectures fun and time flies by. For real just do whatever he says on day one and you'll get an A. If you have the chance to take him, do it and don't miss out.

I took his online course in 6 weeks, and he made this course easy and fun. It was like blogging or making youtube videos. I had the pleasure of taking prof. Pieciak for an online Public Speaking class, I missed two of his first assignments and I thought I'd be penalized for it.. I communicated with him and he wasn't lenient but def understanding. I definetely would recommend him because if you do his work you'll receive an A.

Prof Pieciak is a really unique professor. I promise you won't find another one like him during your time at lagcc. He's so fun during class, is hilarious, and always has a witty response for everything. He gives you the Powerpoints, his lecture notes, and a week at least to do every assignment. Professor Pieciak is one of the many great professors at LaGuardia Community College. With his course of HUC 140, I learned a lot more about journalism and about LaGuardia itself. Me Pieciak was the right professor for me, he was the professor I needed. Its a shame that I had to take the class online due to the pandemic, it would have been awesome to take it presencial and also more challenging. Me Pieciak do cares of his students and all what matters to him is the actual public speaking.

This professor took over the class after the late Dr. Louis Lucca passed. Professor Pieciak did an amazing job helping us meet deadlines. I would definitely recommend taking his class. Its an easy A. Just do the work and submit it on time.

This class was online asynchronous with a really easy workload. It had 1 homework assignment due at the end of each week, 1 final 3 to 5 pg paper, and an open book final test. He responds to emails quickly, grades everything within 2-3 days, and the syllabus is extremely detailed and clear. He makes it clear he doesn't accept late work, don't try.

very caring and understanding. i took his class online HUC 120 in the summer during the pandemic and he made it really easy on us, plus he left the text book as optinal when everybody else requiring books and online accesses . I really wish to have the chance to meet him in person and thank him, if you lucky enough you'll be in his class.

I had huc 140 and huc 127 with the online course and professor Sebastian was great I have pass both course with an A No need for textbook and we do not have zoom meeting which is convenient and make sure to do all assignment not past due date is the only thing he gets upset about and late email help

I just took prof. Sebastian in the winter 6 week semester and I liked the class a lot. The workload was perfect, one to two assignments per week, all of the directions and course policies were very clear. The best part is that he doesn't require any zoom/collaborate meetings, just read the notes and you'll be fine.

Sebastian is an absolute gem of a professor. A great class to take in your short sessions, the workload is light, simple, and easy to get through. He's hard on deadlines but that's literally it. I took Sebastian's sports course back in 2018 and he was definitely the best professor I had during my stay at LaGuardia. He is always there for his students and even helped me get into graduate school last year. I have nothing but nice things to say about this man. Oh and the late work reviews are 100% accurate, don't even try, he won't take it.

throughout the time being in this class it was really boring, all we did was just talk about sports for 30 minutes and then talk about the lesson for 2 hours. He said he was going to bring in people to talk to us but that was a lie. The class is useless but hws are very light 300 words everytime. this class is a relax class and it should be 1 hour.

hella funny dude, was a great professor and he was easy to talk to. he's nice and all but when it's time to get serious he gets SERIOUS. don't try to wiggle your way into his emails about a late submission it's literally the no.1 thing he hates when it comes to it.

If you actually want to learn or want to improve your public speaking I wouldn't take the hybrid summer session. The speech assignments are recorded on your own time and submitted in blackboard (no practice or real time feedback from your peers). Overall solid professor - engaging, quick grading turnover, helpful feedback, NO LATE WORK!

I actually took a class with this professor at HCCC but couldn't find a post about him. Hands down the best teacher I have ever had, he makes his lectures really interesting which motivates you, he was always so clear about each topic, would show you so many examples on how to do your work. Would definitely choose this professor again if I could.

However since he gives long times to give in assignments he will not under any circumstance accept it late and with how much time he gives thats not ever a problem.
