The class can be very boring because all she does is read from the textbook, and asks a lot of questions. If you do the essays (which are not a lot), you will pass. Shes very nice too.

She real good! My brother below be bored in all his classes. I didn't do great but I didn't try all that hard. He didn't either. If you work hard with Pr K you'd do okay. I still liked her class.

She is a wonderful professor. I did not get an A but I learned a lot from her. If you want to get the most meaning out of a story, you should take her. Some just want to read and move on, but her discussions are very deep and are for those who really want to learn literature. Thank you Professor K.

Prof Kelustyan is very patient and calm, and she will help you a lot and is very fair. She seems like someone who shd b teaching at Yale or some school like that. Me and my friend agreed she is the best prof we had this year. Thanks Prof K.

great, excellent, deep! This prof you can tell knows a lot but she teaches just what you need to know - i would take her in the future - the material can be hard but prof k spends a lot of time to make it clear - i read a lot more since i took her and i hope i get a better grade next time.

She's an excellent teacher, especially if you're interested in prolific writing and the sort. She's fair with the work as well, it's never too much!

I was kind of interested in Women in Literature - now, thanks to Prof. K., I love the subject. She is excellent! I recommend her to anyone - one of my favorite professors ever!

she is the most intelligent proffessor i've ever come accross who seem to know everything and even strives to know more. she is very sweet and impacts her knowledge on students she teaches if u allow her to. will advice anyone to take her class and will always want her to be my prof. if possible...we miss you

Prof. Kalostyan is the best instructor who takes a lot of time with the material. I saw things in the readings that I never would have seen without her help. Her comments on my papers are detailed and amazing. Plus she really cares. I learned more from her than anyone. I think I have improved a lot as a reader and writer. Thank you Prof K!

She helped me so much, Idid not know what I was doing when I went into the class and Prof.Kalostyanput me at ease. She met with me after class and explained what needed to be done and why. I think she is great. It is a writing class so be prepared to write.

first of all, shes not hot lol secondly the class is boring, long, and always the same. we always read passages and dissect it. thats it. we write journals weekly and we're assigned an essay monthly or about every 3 weeks. its not easy and its not hard. just make sure you have energy when you come to class or else you'll sleep or leave

My grade wasnt all that good. I dont write well i know that. But I learned a lot from this professor and I appreciate what she was teaching us. I didnt like the attitude of the others who wrote negative words. She shud be teaching at a great college for students who really want to learn. Thanx Prof Kal. I learned a lot from you. A very good professor, smart. I think she should be teaching better classes. She knows a lot and makes you look at the readings very close. The others didn't always appreciate what she's trying to do but I learned a lot about how to read much closer and better. Thank you.

My experience with Prof. Kalostyan was very good. I really appreciate women in literature unlike I did before this class. I think she opens your eyes even tho not everyone wants to open their eyes. If you listen to her, she has a lot to say. She is a smart professor who knows the material really well. Take her if you want to learn to read close.

I had a hard time in this class. It seemed very difficult and I couldn't really understand the point. Since this class I have come to really understand what Prof K was trying to do to help us, and I have learned how to read in a new way. A great professor. I am grateful for what i learned in this class. She inspired my interest in literature in a way that no other teacher has. It is obvious that she is meant to teach. She is smart but not arrogant and Professor Kalostyan makes difficult things clear. Very patient. I love her.

I love this class and this professor. I am learning so much from her. You need to listen carefully and if you do you will learn more about writing than you can imagine. this is a required course, but i am very glad that I got Prof Kalostyan!

Awesome professor. Professor Kalostyan is patient and really cares. She writes a lot of comments on your papers so you know exactly how to improve. She's very dedicated to teaching.

She's an overall good professor. She's nice and extremely patient, she's also very dedicated to her work. However she's often repetitive and tends to g off tangent in terms of the syllabus. I wouldn't necessarily recommend her.

She's a good professor but she's super boring. Her constant "Um's" drive me crazy. She gives a lot of feedback and comments on your assignments. Rarely gives homework. Just don't miss class and read the texts and you'll be fine.

Professor Kalostyan is fair, and I learned a lot from her. I don't understand the criticism (though i think i know who wrote the negative comment). I recommend her. She is very thorough and you must work hard, but you will learn a lot about reading carefully and she also gives a lot of good comments on the papers and lets you revise.

Prof Kalostyan pays a lot of attention to details. My grades weren't great, but i learned to write better because of all the comments she gave. I don't like MP's criticism of her. Prof K really cares if you pay attention.

I agree that she challenges us, but if you work hard you will learn a lot. She writes a lot of comments on our papers, and they are amazing how she really tries to help you with your writing

A shout out from the past - I took Professor Kalostyan's class a few years ago, and I complained over all of her comments on my papers, but now I have to write a lot in my new position (marketing), and all that I learned from her has really paid off. I want to say some nice things about Prof Kalostyan, then I read the review before this one. I know who wrote the bad words, and she is an angry student. Prof K is very dedicated and caring and she's available for us. If you are serious about learning then take this prof but if you are just an angry person, then don't.

i came to say nice things about Prof Kalostyan then i saw the angry students comments. the prof is very fair, and she gives lots of feedback, and we're online now, and she stays in touch. They be angry below, but prof K has never given a pop quiz. I don't understand the others. i want to take her again.

She's amazing! My critical thinking and writing skills heavily improved over the course of the class, and I was exposed to so much new and interesting literature. If you're into gender studies or would like to improve your writing, definitely take this class. Prof Kalostyan gives helpful feedback and is kind and passionate about the subject matter.
