her tests are easy. You don't need to attend her class to get As at exams.
I thought that she was a pretty good instructor. Her Exams are quite easy if you do the assigned questions... she takes a lot of them from the assignments.

She just tought me one class instead of my instructor.My god, totally confused.Her lecture is super boring and her handout is too complicated.Think about it before you choose her.

confusing, confusing, confusing. I can't follow her lectures, she jumps around and she's hard to understand. Don't take her unless you can learn by yourself.
When she talks, it's annoying. When she laughs, it's annoying. She isn't clear on what she is saying all the time and she always forgets to talk about some of the important things in the course.
HORRIBLE!!! synical, evil, annoying, disrespectful, unwilling to help!!!....Even though i did well, she is the absolute worst! I had to go to other teacher's for help! DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! get a former student's opinion if you dont believe me!
She's changed her teaching style for the better. She makes it easier and actually takes the time to help you understand. You just have to read the book and answer the exercises she assigns. All-in-all, she's a good prof.
She sucks, I can not understand any part of her lectures. What is she talking about? The worst teacher I have ever had. Her laugh makes me want to kill her, or myself. Do not take this class. PS- I got a good mark.

holy crap. worst teacher ever. can not teach can not speak. all she says is "debit the credit" "credit the debit". seriously like 20 out of 28 ppl are failing. calls us worst class. doesnt that say alot about the teacher?? do not get her for any course. extremely boring lecture.

Worst teacher I ever had. Self-study course. She is very confusing though gave a couple of hints for easier understanding. Many errors in her assignments so you don't know either she gave the wrong numbers or you r doing smthg wrong. Expects perfection from students when she makes mistakes.
she's really hard to follow ....but if you ask her for help she'll be there for u........when it comes to marking she is a lot easier than other acct teacher's .....

She is really boring
I didn't belive the ratings until I took her class for half a term. Her class is filled with confusion, she duzn't explain well and expects u to know things already. Her notes were next to useless for the mid term and she did little to prepare us for it. If u don't believe then register for her class at ur own dicretion.I'm dropping out.
She is horrible at explaining what she is trying to teach. She cannot teach what-so-ever. She thinks she is funny but isn't and it gets extremely annoying.
I didn't have a problem with her at all. If something was unclear all you have to do is ask and she'll explain it till you get it. This is the type of course that requires a lot of extra work at home. If your not willing to put in the time you'll fail. Selina is the type of prof. who wants to see you succeed.
Tang is a very good teacher. If you come to class with the attention of learning you will do very well. Tang makes sure students understand the concepts that she teaches, no one will be left behind in class. She is an extremely nice and intellectual teacher. Her tests are easy and her marking is fair. I would strongly recommend Tang to all.
somewhat easy class, offers help if anyone needs it, is sometimes unclear but just ask questions and she will answer them.
Everyone gives her a really bad reputation, but thats partly because most students there are idiots and dont study or care about their futures. I came to almost all the classes and studied only before tests and got an A-. If your dedicated and somewhat smart you should do fine!
Only one word describes her classes, that words is "painful." She's not a teacher, she's an accountant. Whoever hired this monotone foreigner as a teacher deserves a swift kick in the head. She doesn't actually explain what she talks about and can't pronounce half the words she uses anyway. If you thought accounting was bad enough, try it with her.
if you have Tang for the first time ever taking accounting, you will not understand it at all. she is completely unhelpful and thinks you should alright know what she is telling you. then only way you will pass this course with Tang is if you get a tutor.

She is patronizing and has poor teaching skills! She does not know the material well and does not seem to have "real-world" experience. The course material is difficult enough without her confusing the class by giving misinformation (this happens frequently).
Confusing and explanation is frequently unclear. This is a perfect self-study course. Going to class seems pointless at times. Her tests are fair and not too hard. Just do the end of chapter exercises and you'll be fine.
Read bad reviews but took the class anywyas, shes not a good teacher, very unclear, gets confused and answers on her test are sometimes wrong. not helpful, and hard to understand.
Not clear not helpfull
taught from the text book, had pre typed notes where you just had to fill in the blanks and do examples. if you go to every class it is an easy A. notes provided work out as a great study tool for exams. test questions come straight from the text book
omg i couldn't understand a single word coming out of her mouth absolutly the wordt teacher i have ever had she starts talking about somthing then says oh but don't worry you wont need to know that and she just get ppl confused and never explains the concepts very well if you are not very very good at english DONT take her class!!!!!
I should have checked this site before I registered her class.. Damn... I have maintained 3.8 of GPA, and guarantee you she really sucks. her teaching is not clear at all, and it was pretty hard to study alone.
Not too hard of a course if you study enough. Takes a little getting used to her lectures. Harder than acct 1110. You either hate it or you love it. No in between

Wouldn't give an example to help anyone - totally useless teacher. If you have to take a class with her make sure you have someone who can help you or that you can learn everything on your own. Best to find a different teacher.

I took her for 1110, got a P. Retook it with someone else and got a B. Selina always thinks she's right, she'll never adapt or change. Ask a question, prepare to be humiliated. Tests have NOTHING to do with what is covered in class. I tried taking her for 1210, had to drop. Most of class failed the midterm. She blamed it on us. TAKE SOMEON
First of all she spelt high school hi schol! She uses too many resources for little things like notes need to be printed off of her personal website, then assignments on the companion website then the text book. She uses power point for lectures then followed by fill in the blanks note taking. And honestly I cannot understand her.
Its been a week into this class and i have learnt nothing! She laughs and goes off topic often. She has a powerpoint for every class, but students just copy and do not understand what theyre writting in. She assumes since on person in the class answers a question than all know what is being taught.If i could transfer from this class, i would!!!
Selina is a very experienced teacher. The notes package she provides is extremely helpful, all you need to do is fill in the blanks.Test questions are never a surprise,its either from the practices from the notes or recommended practice from textbook which she provides answers for. the practices you do will reflect the mark you get in her class! =)
Easy marker and homework. Lectures are a little bit tricky (hit or miss) but if you study outside of class you should be fine! Give you marks where she can and thats all am looking for.
Relies on power points and gives students handouts which are close to what the tests will be like. Mid terms were relatively easy, but made the final extremely difficult. Gave class a project and was not clear at all what wanted done, and when asked was told completely different information. Nice person, lacks teaching skills.
She is not helpful towards students. Difficult to understand her too. Basically, this is a self-study course and we did not get much help from her. It is useless going to her class unless you want to show your face. She set very difficult questions for quizes and examinations. AVOID TAKING HER CLASS.

Great teacher for me! She explains everything. You even should not open the book, just read notes she gives of course fill the gaps during the lecture. Her tests and exams are always tricky:-) but if you understand accounting principles and what she explains you will be fine.
She is a terrible teacher. Does not explain the material well. I would not recommend taking a course with this teacher. I am on the dean's list and now might be failing her course. Extremely hard marker and extremely difficult tests. Check your papers too because she will not add marks up properly, which is pretty bad for an accounting teacher
She is by far the worst teacher that i have ever had since high school. She doesnt explain the problems and when the class fails the test, she blames the students for not trying hard enough. I learned more from youtubeing the content than i did more attending calss. If you care about your gpa, dont take her class.

Selina is a fair teacher. She provides notes which are helpful and expects you to read the text before class, which you should. Exams can be tricky but you need to study and not memorize material. She gives marks where she can and tests you on what she teaches. Put in some effort outside of class and you will be fine.
It was practically a self teach class,with the assignments due before you had a chance to understand it. Why pay so much to teach yourself from a textbook?
Hilarious teacher, very smart and marks REALLY EASY on tests. Can get the whole question wrong and have it with a sorta right method and you will receive marks for it. Lots of reviews gets you prepared well.
Accounting professor knows her stuff. Friendly available for help online after class and at school in her office. Try's to enable everyone to learn the information provided.
She is not a helpful teacher and certainly not a nice person. She spends her class time being incoherent and condescending to those who do ask her for help. Threatens to "minus marks" to those unfortunate enough to dare ask for her assistance. Make sure you buy required texts because the textbook teaches more than this teacher.

Her tests are the mirrors for the final exams. she stresses on the important points and makes you learn. Choose her in first semester for ACCT 1110 and found her really good and clear. sometimes confusing but clear.

Very straightforward tests. If you work on the practice exercises and with her notes, definitely you will do well.
Selina is a very kind person. She tries her best to make the class more entertaining. She gives tests for each chapter but they're very straightforward and quite easy because she provides a sample test to practice with (which is identical to the test). She knows what she is teaching and incorporates some games into the class.

Very easy prof to get a good grade with. Read the chapters before class and do the homework.
She's an okay accounting professor. She teaches the material through a mix of powerpoint slides and chapter outline with fill in the blank answers. Read through the chapter outline and you'll be fine. She uses MyAccounting Lab for homework and although it will take you a while to finish it up, you'll understand the material.
Attend classes regularly and take notes u will easily get a good grade
Condescending to students who don't understand, takes forever to respond to emails. She basically just teaches the textbook PowerPoint and gives out a notes summary, and that's it. If you don't get it, it's your fault not hers. She also clearly does not care that over half of her classes' students are failing.

Read the textbook. Most of my friends in my class were able to read the textbook and do fine in her class. her notes are kinda confusing but somewhat helpful. The MyAccoutingLab question help alot. Shes hard to understand sometimes but if you preread chapters before class then you will be able to comprehend what she is saying.

Extremely Rude instructor, never seen such an awful person. Never ask for any help, if you do she will insult you. She gets really frustrated if you ask for any instructions for assignment or ask her any queries. You will have to pass her course by studying yourself.
An absolute disaster. She gives you a checklist of things to do at the start of the semester and then DISAPPEARS. Does not start class at the same time each week. Only shows up for an hour for "consultation" and takes marks off your assignments for asking for help "to reflect the real world". Unapproachable and the WORST prof at Douglas by FAR :(
Honestly if this was an asynchronous class there wouldn't be much issue, the lesson plan is self explanatory and easy to pick up, but the tuition you pay for it should reflect that. Selina maybe talked up a total accrued 30 minutes throughout the semester and offered nothing in terms of help but plenty of condescending remarks. Look elsewhere!
Just buy the Textbooks and teach yourself. Selina overcomplicates everything. The classes were typically a 20 min Q&A, which was conducted very poorly as she did not answer many questions or speak clearly. You typically have to ask your question 4-5 times before it gets acknowledged. Very little teaching done by Selina. Worst prof I've ever had.
You would need to spend most of your time for self-studying since all of the course content are posted on Blackboard and class hours are only for questions/exam feedback (not lecturing). She gave a very clear course guideline for each week; stick to it, you will be all right. Tip: do the study plan on Pearson
Do yourself a favor and don't even bother with this one. She talked for maybe 15 minutes throughout the entirety of the online semester which is ridiculous because this class is supposed to be Synchronous. Also, the tests are ridiculous. So little time with so many questions. Take my word for it, and don't take this prof! You heard it here first.
Very unprofessional, gives VERY LITTLE TIME for tests/exams (1 hour maximum in a 3 hour exam) and never holds full lectures only 20 minute live sessions. Cannot speak English clearly so beware, especially with an online learning environment. Does not help when students struggle, and never gives time extensions on exams. WORST PROF AT DOUGLAS EVER!
I signed up for this class thinking there would be 3 hour lectures every Friday morning but instead she decides to do 20 minute Q & A's. Please avoid this prof at all costs. Little to no time for exams so you can't even think twice when completing questions. You just guess and hope for the best. Worst prof i've ever had. Trust these reviews ppl!!
Do not take her class or u will be regretted. She did not teach anything, live session just 20 minutes instead of 3 hours ! You have to study by yourself. Never have enough time to do her test. Did not teach anything but tests are very hard !
Does not teach at all and expects students to do her long checklist in their own time. Her 3 hour classes became only 20 minutes only consisting of check-ins and housekeeping. She does not even give a summarized lesson for the weekly topics. Prepare to study and learn accounting on your own.
Selina is a decent professor. She is nice and all, but you must be aware that her course is Asynchronous, meaning that you have to learn accounting on your own time. Despite all of that, if you keep practicing the material and keep in contact with Selina, you will do fine. Make sure to not procrastinate and leave things last minute!
I can't see how she could teach anyone anything. She didn't do anything. Even though I tried hard to work on her materials, her class was a waste of my tuition money and brought down my overall GPA.
