Takes everything step by step so you understand. Not a hard class.
easy class if you show up, beware of her accent - but you get used to it. she is always offering help
No Comments
Nice; sometimes hard to understand
Very nice teacher, easy to understand because she goes over everything you need to know in a very good order. Quizzes after every class almost but easy points because when you hand it in and its wrong she goes over it with you.
Very good...she explains all problems and sections thoroughly!
Nicest person possible, careful never to embarass anyone. Knowledgable and knows how to share it. Fantastic.
She is a good teacher, some students disrespect her a lot but she really is great. Always willing to help.
Great professor. Explains things thouroughly and makes sure everyone understands. Always helps and offers lots of help outside class. Gives lots of chances for EASY points.
GREAT teacher! She explains everything thoroughly and takes the time needed to explain everything. She is not really that hard to understand, you get used to her accent fast - she writes everything on the board anyway. Lots of easy points available!
Very clear class. Homework counts so do it! It will definitly help your grade. Definitly go to class. She is ALWAYS available for help and is one of the best math teachers on campus.
her accent drove me crazy!!! she was good at explaining math but i don't think think we should have professors that can't pronounce words correctly.
Very thorough in explaining the subject, gave plenty of examples in class. Is willing to help anyone who is lost. Didn't mind her accent, actually found it entertaining. I only hope any other math prof. I get will be this involved in the subject.
excellent prof! the accent was quite entertaining. she's a really nice teacher and will always offer help if she realizes you aren't doing well on something. if you do your homework and do the test review sheets you'll do no problem on tests.
She is extremly helpful, and very thorough in everything. Like math online homework, bad idea in my opinion. Her accent is entertaining at time.
Great teacher. She explains the material really well and is easy about homework. Also really funny accent.
Great teacher! As long as you show up, most of the time, take good notes, and revieiw your notes once in a while, you'll do fine. Make sure you do all the homework on time. Review packets are the same as the tests. Easy A!!!
I know this isn't Ansari but he sucks so bad I had to put him in here. But this teacher really is awesome! GET HER! SERIOUSLY
Absolutely loved her!! Shes very helpful and dedicated to helping students learn. Her tests are exactally like the review sheets so study those and do all your homework and on time and you should do just fine! Her accent isnt bad i dont know why there are complaints she only says a couple words wrong.
shes a great teacher that knows her stuff, and if u go to class youll have no problem. i got an A- and thats only because i missed a few homeworks. Accent can be distracting at times when she says the same word wrong 25 times in one class, but u can handle it. good prof overall
very nice lady and helps out a lot on homework if you're willing to actually look for the help. is easy-going about when homework is due, overall good teacher, take her! :)
Really good teacher. Makes the effort to help you out if you need it. Pretty flexable on homework. If you need Math 21 or 22 i recommand her.
awesome!!!
Great!
Professor Jagadesan is a great teacher. I'm a terrible math student and I listened and did great. She does make her HW worth a lot but she gives you plenty of time to do it and it's online. She's very good at actually teaching the subject and if you listen you'll do great.
Can not speak english very well
Extremely good teacher. A little hard to understand at times, but very informative and gives great instruction. Lots of examples during class and always willing to give extra time for things. Don't buy the book, just take notes and do the online homework. I havn't even opened mine and I got an A in the course.
She is a great teacher. Easy to understand. She uses alot of examples. Although she does take attendacne every class.
She's a good teacher overall, and she really tries to help you, but only if you ask. The class is hard as it is, so alot of people ask for tutoring, anyway. You have to go to class or have a good excuse not to.
She is a very very nice lady! Her accent is hard to understand sometimes but she usually clarifies things if you have trouble. she is a push over teacher sometimes and fair. the tests are not extremely hard. there is a lot of online math homework and usually a 1 question quiz at the end of every class. I recommend taking her for math!
Always disliked math - love her. Excellent teacher who will do anything to help you do well...
I thought that Ms. Jagadesan was a very nice lady. She always helped you when you needed it. Judging by what I heard about other professors at Berks, she in my opinion is the best. I didn't use the textbook even once, so don't bother getting it. She does have an accent, but overall, she is very understandable. I got an A in the class.
She is a great professor! I would definitely recommend taking her. As long as you show up, the class is easy. She explains everything and is always willing to help at any time. She really wants her students to do well. She does take attendance everyday though. She has a slight accent but it's not bad at all. Very helpful! Her tests are easy too.
Great math professor. Why oh why doesn't she teach calc??
She is a great prodessor! Goes quickly through material but knows what she is talking about. I recommend her! A little hard to understand from time to time but is very knowledgeable! Take notes and go to class and you will do well.
She is so nice and is very helpful. I never had a math teacher that made math so easy to learn.
This is my second time having her for a math teacher. She's is very nice and helpful. Best Math teacher i've ever had.
Mandatory attendance. Some people complain they can't hear what she is saying- she has an accent but I could understand her perfectly. Trig made easy. Helps students. Available for help. Great professor, one of my best.
best math teacher I've ever had in my life. if you ever need help, she will find a way to help you. i highly recommend her!
love her but she talks tooo fast. and sometimes she says "sqwuared" instead of "squared" but she's so helpful.
She is a speed demon. She will speed through the chapters like you never seen before. Great Teacher though. She really gives a whole lot of homework.
She's a really good teacher and takes the time to make sure you understand. Goes over steps and problems as much as you need!!
Decent math professor, but don't bother with the book.
Shes a really good teacher but she moves really fast but other than that i would recommend her
Really nice teacher, class is pretty easy, if you get good grades and understand the work you don't have to show up to class on fridays. I definitely recommend her.
Love her she is clear and very patient. Wants to see you pass. If you are diligent you will pass
Very very good teacher. I don't know much about the other teachers, but she teaches math in a practical way that makes sense. When you have questions, she doesn't just tell you the answers, she actually makes you understand 'why' that's the correct answer. Material goes by very fast, but she is very up-beat and ready to help you.
I did so well in this class and I liked that she didn't beat around the bush. She kept up a good pace and told us exactly what we needed to know. I will take her again if I have a chance. She is also very nice which is a plus!
Very very nice teacher. She is very disciplined but not strict, goes at a fast pace but makes sure every student understands the course. If i could i would schedule her again !
She is sweet and she wants everyone to do well. She isn't too strict about things and she goes at a smooth pace. Stay on top of the homework and you will do fine.
Professor Jagadesan is probably the best math professor I have taken at Berks thus far. She is VERY clear and does everything step by step so that everyone understands. She is a very nice teacher but if you slack off and mess around she becomes strict, as she should... She wants you to do well and she is very fair and understanding.
She's an alright teacher that likes to review a lot. This may make the class boring but can really help when it comes time to take the tests.
Professor Jagadesan is a really nice professor and will help you continuously if need be. I wish I could take her for more than just MATH 026. It's a shame.
GREAT professor! She really cares about her students understanding the material and will stop the lecture if you need help with a question. She wants to see her students succeed! AND do not waste money on renting the textbook. You use mymathlab for homework and the textbook can be found on there.
She's a really nice teacher and wants the best for her students. I liked her so much I am going to have her as my teacher when I go up a math class.
She is there for you if you need extra help. She is willing to help you succeed if you ask for it. She has high expectations. We always got review sheets before exams. If you need extra help in math or you are struggling prof. Jagadesan will get you through it.
She's happy to extend MyMathLab and allow you to skip a couple of classes if you tell why. But she goes through questions on the lectures too quickly.
Ask for help if you need it. She will go above and beyond for you if you are nice to her.
One of my favorite professors. Professor Jagadesan makes math fun! She is always willing to help out students. As long as you complete the homework and show up, you will learn the material easily and do well on exams.
She's a great teacher! She caring and wants you to succeed.
Jagadesan is a nice lady but she's terrible at teaching! She goes way too fast that I can't even understand what she's doing most of the time! There are so many questions on the tests and she doesn't understand that class is only 55 minutes long! I don't think I've ever finished any of the exams! She's also always late for her first class.
Jagadesan is a miracle worker. I finally understand algebra. She goes very fast but shows every step. There is a lot of homework. Gives extra credit often. She let us make quiz corrections if we came to class. Is very helpful. Overall, best math professor at Berks. Don't skip class & don't be on your phone in class, she'll take off points.
Professor Jagadesan is highly caring and enjoys seeing her students succeed. Would definitely take it again and it's math, so be ready to be challenged on every test.
Super sweet woman, but I found her class to be quite hard. Her tests are not very easy, she gives A LOT of homework and it gets kind of over whelming on top of trying to do your other classes and study for her quizzes.
Lectures are crucial! She actually teaches and goes over problems in class and everyone participates. Her tests are really hard though, and she is a tough grader. I almost failed her class, asked for help but she still wasn't as great explaining stuff and meeting with me outside of class. Take lots of notes and do your hw!!
Professor Jagadesan is so caring and kind! If you skip class, it makes it difficult as class is really important to doing well. She's always willing to help and extend deadlines if needed. Honestly, one of the best professors at PSU Berks!! Def recommend.
Prof. Jagadesan was a good trig teacher. Her lectures were very clear and there weren't really any curveballs on the tests, nor were the tests graded harshly. She also gave extra credit often for equation or unit circle memorization quizzes. I would recommend taking her class.
Professor J. is very caring towards her students and is willing to put in extra time so they can succeed. She will explain everything you don't understand and gives clear instructions. This class is not difficult as long as you put effort into doing well.
Professor Jagadesan is one of the best professors at Berks, shes willing to push back due dates and gives extra credit on tests from time to time. Attendance is mandatory unless you email her and explain why you cannnot make it to lecture. Her class is easy if you attend lecture and do all the homework. She does give a lot of homework though
Professor never updates grades or answers emails at any given time. She is very disorganized when it comes to giving assignment and explaining when they are due. You wont have any idea what grade you will have until the end of the course which can be very frustrating. Overall, would not recommend having as a professor.
Do not take this professor. There was an insane amount of homework yet her homework, quizzes and unit reviews had barely any weight. Even if you got 100 on homeworks, quizzes and unit reviews and failed a test the weight of the tests made you fail the class. STAY AWAY!
I had Jagadesan my freshman year (Spr2017) for both MATH22/26. She is a fair professor. She is not as picky and tough/strict as people claimed. She just wants you to know the material. She did give quizzes, but she did let you know ahead of time if there was going to be a quiz. She is likeable, but depends on the teaching style preference.

she Made an easy class uneccisarily hard for no reason. super disorganized, and gave an execcive aMount of work. the quizzes were weighted like nothing, i legit would have gotten an A in the class because i did so good on quizzes and tests but i failed her stupid class because of Missing hoMework. quizzes were literally weighted like 5 points.
Professor Jagadesan is one of those rare professors that want their students to do well. It seemed like throughout the entire year she kept trying to push me and others to get better grades. It was almost like you needed to put effort into failing this class. The class definitely wasn't a cake walk though. You have to show up to class everyday too.
Its so bad I want to give her a zero. But that's not possible, so I'll give her a ONE. The material in this class is not difficult at all. She made everything so confusing for no reason. She was unorganized and was constantly rushing during lectures and this happened almost every lecture. She is nice but needs to brush up on her teaching skills.
Honestly, she was probably a great professor, I'm just horrible at all things calculus. A few things I had issues with, though, were the lack of tests and homework grades she'd grade, and her lectures were very fast-paced and a bit hard to pick up as someone with barely any exposure to calc. Seriously study for exams at least a week in advance.
If you have any choice between professors, take Prof Jagadesan. She's such a fantastic professor and explains everything so clearly. I never liked math before her class, she makes calculus so easy. Very friendly and caring and also funny during lectures. She really takes her time to make sure everyone understands the material.
Professor Jagadesan is one of the best I've ever had! So caring, sweet, and offers plenty of time to help you learn the material. If you need one of the math classes she teaches, take one of hers in a heartbeat. I know I would. She made Calc so fun this semester!
Professor Jagadesan was one of my favorite teachers ever. It felt like she truly wanted everyone to succeed. Lectures were fast paced, but a bit of studying will get you a good grade. She was also very lenient with grading. Made calc enjoyable.
Relatively easy course and kind professor. Study guides are provided and as long as you keep up with the homework and class assignments you should be fine. I'd recommend taking Math 10 and attending study sessions for extra help with Math 110.
She is amazing. I'm only in Math 22/26 with her and i cant wait for her to be my professor for my future math classes. makes sure you understand everything before moving on, helps out with quizzes and homework, makes math so much better than it is and she is super caring. Love the way she teaches and seems enthusiastic about her lectures. Love her!
She's hard to understand when teaching sometimes, but the material is easy to learn if you are good at algebra. She gives pop quizzes on material learned at the beginning of almost every class. The unit circle is very important and you will be doing it over and over again. She does give off a lot of extra credit opportunities.
One of the easiest classes I've taken this semester. So much extra credit is given (up to 7+ points on exams) which help boost your grade so much. There's lots of formulas to remember. There's pop quizzes every week and you need to get everything correct to get the credit for the quiz, one thing wrong its a 0. She will let you retake if you mess up
doesn't input grades until the end of the semester, doesn't answer questions directly, is hard to understand
Very knowledgeable about the course, and you are able to learn with ease if actually put in the time to study and show to class. However personally to me she didn't respond to emails for weeks when having concerns about my grades and is also wishy washy when it comes to make up work and doesn't give an exact answer. All in all, PAY ATTENTION!!!
She doesn't come to office hours Doesn't reply to emails
She is the sweetest professor. Very caring and often available for zoom office hours. I took this class summer 2022. Lots of homework. Exams were online but proctored.
It's difficult to understand what she's saying, and she goes at a very fast pace. Pearson math lab definitely helps to get the practice you need outside of class. Memorize formulas and practice for exams. Don't expect her to respond to emails quickly, or ever. You're better off going to study sessions. You'd be lucky to see her during office hours.
Professor Jagadesan is very nice and makes an effort to help all her students. She doesn't really reply to emails and she does move a bit quick in class, but if you approach her in person, she'll help you with just about anything.
Professor Jagadesan is knowledgeable, but classes move quickly. Attend diligently and use resources like the textbook and Unstuck ai for study prep to succeed. Approach the professor in person for extra help if needed.
She is amazing professor!
