She is very funny. Pay attention in class b/c her tests are from the notes. Very fair in grading and willing to help.

Dr. German is the best teacher I've had during my last three years here. She makes class fun and interesting, and she is very vibrant about what she teaches. The class itself is also easier because she makes it exciting to be there!

Possibly THE BEST professor there is to teach this class. In my 4 years of college, she has been the only professor that has brought outside knowledge into the classroom and was able to relate it to course work.

Overall, she is a great teacher. Her teaching style is wonderful. She is very excited about teaching her course material. I really like the fact that when she wants to make a point about a topic, she leaps or waves her hand in the air. VERY COOL!

Don't miss an exam or your screwed. tests are difficult, even if u study. tough grader on final essay, hand in drafts for help, a must if u want decent grade. otherwise nice woman, and fun class. really must study for an OK grade.

She is a good teacher. She's funny and curses alot. She is a little odd though, to many political beliefs that are very off topic. Her class isn't that bad, just be ready to deal with some bad jokes.

Amazing teacher. I had no interest in this class before taking it but she got my attention from day one and I loved the class. You have to read and always show up to class but she makes it very enjoyable.

humanities has potential to be the worst class ever, but prof german makes it interesting. as long as you take good notes (like, write down everything she says) you wont really even need to open the book. she is very intelligent, and grades tough, but fair.

The class is ok.3 tests which aren't bad if you study and take good notes. 1 paper which is easy. Try to do the extra credit because the attendance in the class is worth only 5% she won't give you a break and raise your grade even the slightest bit,even if you really deserve it.

She's extremely vocal in her political views, so expect to spend at least some time in every class listening to her positions. Otherwise, class is pretty straightforward. Take notes in class and STUDY THEM! It's the only way to pass the 3 exams. Also one paper, but it's extremely easy to write.

Women in Art class- Great prof, helpful, perfect class for her to teach. Tests are not too hard, at least look over your notes once and you'll do fine. Talked about politics only twice all semester (and this was the semester of the election!). Awesome, I'd take her again!

Actually dreading this class.Last semester after many years & told I needed 1 more ARHS. She was so awesome! Brought Greece to life! Gave sculpture a soul &was extremely candid about Greek society. She didn't dodge around fem.oppression & homosexualty -like other teachers. You truly get the whole picture, battle stories & all. She's an encyclopedia

I was DREADING this class!! But after the first day I found that the time FLEW by. She was one of the best professors I have ever had. She makes you WANT to learn and take notes, the whole class was SO INTERESTING. Unforutnately, she left halfway through the semester and class got boring again. But if you ever get the change to take her..DO IT!

I look forward to EVERY class! She brings ancient art to life. This subject can be very boring, but it's not with the way she teaches it. Interesting, honest, and sometimes quite entertaining. If you have to take art history take it with this professor.

Did not think it was possible to make old art as interseting as she does. she's full of stories, humor, and witty comments that keep class awake and fun. one of the few teachers i liked and looked forward to going to class. fashtunkina

easiest class ive had in 5 years...all online tests..take in groups if u can...class is not necessary to go to...make a friend and alternate...can find most answers to tests on google...not that bad to look at either..might have went to 5 or 6 classes all semester and got an A-

she definitly makes the class interesting, all online tests, take detailed notes and u wont really have to read the textbook and highlight what she goes over in the reading book cuz that is always on her exam. funny teacher, attendance is done by a sign up sheet, also you have a paper 3 to 5 pgs not bad and the option of doing an extra credit one

great teacher. She knows this class is just a gen ed requirement for most, so she makes it easy. Tests are online. If you take notes, the tests are easy. Attendence is by sign in sheet. One paper, 3 - 5 pages, but its really easy and an optional extra credit assignment. She's funny, but class can sometimes be a little dull. Highly recommended.

She was awesome. Def take her for general humanties. Very easy, nice, down to earth, not strict at all. If you do the paper and extra credit you'll do amazing. And the tests are all on blackboard so its easy. = )

Excellent professor, she really knows her material and gives excellent lectures about it. She knows that most of us are only in her class because its required so she isn't too strict. The book she makes us read is excellent! I loved it! I would definitely recommend taking her class because she is not only a great person, she is HILARIOUS!!!

Dr. German is awesome! She is very funny, entertaining, energetic and knowledgeable. Een though the class was over 2 hours long, it was still a pleasure to listen to her. I laughed a lot during the class and learned a lot as well. She definitely knows her subject and teaches well.

First of all, didn't use any of the 3 textbooks once. BUT the material didn't interest me but she certainly livened it up. She's hilarious and down to earth. Gives tones of extra credit opportunities and knows your life doesn't revolve around her class. I would definitely recommend her. One more thing, she's terrible with email correspondance

Does take attendance and if you miss any exam must get letter from Dean of Student Affairs. Book is expensive,uses powerpoint for all lectures. I didnt buy the book,studied from notes got a b+

Great professor.two exams on blackboard she gives you 24 hours to do each of them. attendance is mandatory so bring a magazine with you.There is one 8-10 page paper which is not bad and she is willing to answer any questions you might have on it. Great Professor, EASY A/B!!! You have to buy both books and you will have a weekly quiz online after you read each chapter (a total of 13 chapters). You will also have 3 exams that are not hard at all! She practically gives you the answers in class, so go to class! She knows her stuff and is funny to listen to. She's a little crazy but its amusing.

Professor German is a no bull**** teacher so she was good. She will call you out in class if you use a laptop or cell phone.Assignment were due every week and exams were not hard at all. Other than that, her class was easy and if you need a easy A/B class take her.

Professor German is so easy. Just a paper, midterm, and final. Easy A/B. Gives extra credit which can boost your score up a whole grade. She's super knowledgeable about Greek life, and hilarious during lectures. Take her if you can!

She is pretty easy and a very FAIR professor! If you are having any issues for some reason she is very reasonable if you talk to her in person. Only has a few papers midterm and final which make up your grade and she is very clear on what she wants. As long as you do the work and give little effort you will most likely pass with an A or B!

German knows her stuff and is also very funny. She makes jokes about the class because she knows very few people are interested in it. There are very few assignments but she is particular about what she wants on them. Pay attention in class and follow instructions for assignments and there is no way to fail. Class is boring but her humor is great.

The class overall was fairly easy. The only thing I have to complain about is that she does not tell you why she took off points in your discussion posts ( no one gets a 100 on them). The work load each week is simple: participation in a discussion (3 posts 1 paragraph each) and one quiz. There is no final, but a final paper. I would recommend her

If you have the opportunity to take her definitely do it! 3 papers throughout the whole semester (which were take home and open book btw) and gives you plenty of time to do them. Very fair grader. Attendance is mandatory but she is so funny and so passionate about the material. Follow directions for the papers and show up to class guaranteed A

Dr. German is one of the best professors to take at MSU for a humanities course. Even though this was an online course, it was quite enjoyable. She takes your questions or concerns into consideration. The course itself is pretty heavy on reading but you won't get bored.

Solid course and I can say I learned a lot despite only taking the course as a gen ed requirement. I took a fully online course, so I didn't talk with the professor until towards the end, but Dr. German seems very kind and understanding. Work was due weekly and consisted of answering 3 discussion posts and a quiz. Final essay at the end

This class is great for anyone who wants an easy yet enriching humanities class. It's composed of weekly quizzes and discussions, and a final paper with opportunity for an extra credit assignment. It is an asynchronous online course, so there is some reading, but everything is clear. Just reach out if you have any issues. Really recommended!

Super understanding and considerate. Her course is very simple and not demanding at all. I learned a lot from her class with the reading she provided. The discussion posts were the most interesting with very insightful prompts.
