She is the best professor anyone could ask for. Tough class but what you learn will change your life.
Expects a lot out of essay papers.
This teacher gives interesting lectures. She gives you her essay test questions to take home a week before the test. She also encourages you to buy older versions of the textbook so you don't have to spend as much money.
history ceased to be boring with ms. lubisich. questions historical biases and status quo. i could never fully understand her own biased dislike of the english, however...maybe because of their elitist system? never really realized how entrenched racism is in american society 'til this class.
It's a pretty fun class! She talks about the history clearly and it's easy to understasnd!
Great lectures, brings history alive. Very helpful, wants students to understand information give. Has a book loan to save students money.
She knows her material well and helps students
boring!! unclear about homework and tests. Not very organized either.

Lots of work but good teacher
She is really a sweet lady. Very helpful!
he lectures are hard for me to sit through. but, she teaches you how to interpret history through material sources which is awesome.
Super smart lady. Knows history. She made this a REAL college class. Papers are a sweet challenge.
Excellent teacher. Makes history really intersting, and offers different perspectives instead of just saying 'This is what happened'. Super smart, and willing to answer the tons of questions you'll have after listening to one of her lectures.
I never had her as a teacher at Citrus, but she was my teacher at UC Riverside. I must say she was the best teacher I have ever had. She taught me a lot and still teaches me each day. She is a true mentor. I will recommend her to anyone, no matter what your interest is she will make you interested.
She is a great teacher! She knows her material. All you have to do is the reading and your fine! Yes theres a lot of work but you learn a lot! She is very CLEAR on what U need to do, for those that say shes not . . . Maybe u should pay attention in class more . . .
very helpful do the extra credits shes very organized and on task.just do the work and you'll be fine its not even hard a lil boring but its not her its the history that is. she makes it more interesting shes very intelligent and knows what shes talking about she always backs things up.
This class is the closest thing to a 4 year college class, in order to get anything out of it you need to put some time into the work. And unlike every other teachr on campus she won't just pass you because you turned everything in. Great class
Dr. Lubisich is a very tough teacher in a way that she gives a lot of work and expects a lot of you.I took her for my on-line course and we had to write 3essays,1 5pg research paper,4disscussion board responses, every week submit weekly questions and all her prompts were very critical thinking questions. The only good think is that she gave excredit
She is a good teacher. She is there if you have any questions.Yes there is A LOT of work but it's all worth it.She knows her information & she is not afraid to let u know what she thinks. Be prepared do a lot of reading & a lot of writing.I am taking her final class 105 next semester. B prepared 2 do alot of reading and writing. Overall good teacher
She was very nice, she would help you out on the essay the class needed to write. The test were hard Essay tests only.
I was really intimidated by her course outline, and the class was a lot of work, but she is extremely reasonable. I am not a huge fan of history, but I really enjoyed her class. She is so helpful, and will not ever leave you stranded in the course. Her class is deffinately worth taking!
Efrosenya Lubisich is the best teacher which I encountered in the 2 years I have been a student a citrus. Please do not freak out a her syllabus she changes it and it is easy once you attend weekly. I promise you will pass her class the mid term and final are take home and the papers are easy she is understanding an will work with you.stay in her c
A IN CLASS BEST TEACHER ..U WILL NOT REGRET THIS CLASS SHE IS THE BEST EVER!!! UNDERSTANDING TAKE HOME FINAL AND MIDTERM.. SYLLABUS LOOKS SCARY, BUT IT IS EASY GO EVERYDAY..DO THE WORK XCREDIT YOU WILL PASS. SHE IS GREAT TO TALK TO;;YOU WILL PASS!!
This was a great class... She helped clarify anything that anyone wasn't too clear on. She offered help after class and was a great instructor. Like everyone else said, the syllabus look sscary but after a couple weeks you get the hang of it and its pretty simple. The take home essays required a little thought, but if you like Hist, youre fine.
What a wonderful teacher! I took Ancient History online, but wish I had taken a "live" class, simply to "soak up" the influence of this instructor. She clearly loves her subject, and will do whatever she needs to so you will understand, and perhaps love it too! I got the best comment of my LIFE on one of my essays. GRIN GRIN!! Gifted teacher.
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS CLASS. THIS DR.IS THE BEST AND U WILL THINK HER SYLLABUS IS CRAZY, BUT SHE CHANGES IT,NO ORAL PRES. WORK IN GROUPS WKLY. THEN PRESENT UR WORK. DO XCREDIT I GOT A 87.7%IN HISTORY. SHE EASY 2 TALK 2.I FEEL SHE IS MY FRIEND!PAPERS EASY JUST DO THE WORK, ULL PASS,PROMISE YOU..DONT DROP, SHOW UP, WKLY BOOK EASY JUST DO THE BIG PICT
I just took this class online, and it was pretty difficult. I am not a history major, so my interest level wasn't that high. BUT- if you do most of the work and write a good final, she will pass you. I though I wasn't going to pass and ended up with a C......
She is one of THE BEST professors at Citrus college. Extensive knowledge of the subject matter. I transferred now but back when I was at Citrus Dr. Lubisich and Dr. Kim (psychology) felt most like I was taking a "real" college course. If you're taking history she is highly, highly recommended.
Best history teacher i have ever had. period.
She is great! Really interesting, I recommend her for hist. I wish she taught all history courses at citrus! I would take her for any course! best teacher i ever had!
She is an excellent Professor! Her lectures are well orgainized power-point slides. I highly recommend taking her class! Her extensive knowledge of world history and personal experiences will provide you with an understanding of how history affects modern global influences.
She seems crazy at first but she is really not that bad just do her work and show up for class. one is capable of getting the grade one desires in this class
I took her online class during summer, it was a lot of work but you defintely learn a lot! About four chapters a week have to read and answer four short essay questions for each chapter. Two major papers for mid and final. Three short essay responses to freakin' long scholar-type articles. It sounds bad, but it wasn't so hard. Etra credits, too.
She is very nice. A great teacher. She makes you understand things clearly. She helps out all her students. Just show up and do all the work(its not that much work) and youll pass it I got a B in her class. She is like a loving mom lol wanting everyone to do good. Highly recommend her!
TAKE HER AT LEAST ONCE!! I am taking her class online, but I went in to see her one day, and she seemed like an incredible person. I wish I would have taken her traditional on campus class! The things she makes you read are worth your time to actually read. They make you think about all aspects of life, education, system of government, war, etc.
She seems like a nazi freak on the first day of class to weed out the weak links but she is an awesome professor who knows whats she talking about and is willing to allow students to insert their opinion when needed. I took her for two classes and shes is willing to work with her students. Put trust in her and you'll learn so much. AWESOME LADY
excellent instructor, great information provided. you will love this class. you will have to read the book but its quite enjoyable.
Dr.L is super nice and a wonderful teacher. Makes history enjoyable.
I took her about 3 years ago just saw her recently and she is still a great teacher very helpful! I used to lag but she helped me even with that haha. Thanks for everything. I highly recomment taking her.
This teacher is passionate about what she does, which makes her an excellent teacher. There is a lot of reading for this class, but it is manageable. She has lots of class discussions so you don't just sit there. Wants you to attend class, but is understanding about absences if you email her. Great person. You will learn a lot.
I took her online course over summer. I'm a straight A student and I normally love school. However, I didn't enjoy her class at all. She took a very long time to get back to me when I'd ask a question. So I gave up on asking for help. The course also seemed to demanding for a freshman level class. I'm a pretty disappointed.
I also took her history 103 online class. I am starting to think that all this good ratings are false due to her class is super hard, and demanding! Expects way to much on discussions boards and essays. Picky grader, plus she left the country and not helpful at all during the final. Would not recommend her at all. Avoid her class at all cost.
I don't get these negative comments about this professor. She is very intelligent and knows her material really well. Discussion is very important in this class. So read the material and speak up! This class is no easy task if you're just going to 'wing it'. She will read your papers and has no problem with constructive criticism either! I loved it
Awesome and totally sexy--and I'm a chick. :)Really informative. Makes history interesting and sexy, but she is difficult.
Amazing teacher. Her passion for history really shows, even through an online class. A lot of reading is required, but she is completely fair. Do the work and you'll pass the class. Loved taking her. I'll definately take her other class!
If you really enjoy learning and talking about history, she is the professor for you. mild amount of reading, but i enjoyed my time there.
This teacher is absolutley aweful! Do not take this class
Greatest teacher in the history of history teachers. I am also a chick and she is so sexy, but that's not why she's a good teacher. Extremely passionate, in-depth, a genius, and, lemme repeat that, totally hot. She cares a lot.
I added the class because of all these ratings saying it's easy. I started the course(online) then saw more than a few things you had to do. There is a HUGE amount of reading to do There is an essay due every week(if i wanted to do essays i would have joined an English course)So overall the teacher gives out loads of work and the class IS NOT Ez
She is really a Historian, she has actual knowledge and has also traveled and has stories. Great teacher!!
I dont know what you guys are talking about this teacher is Amazing!! For those of u who are complaning Im not sure if you know this or not but ur in college now so grow up! Online classes are usually harder! This teacher is great BUT u have to be willing to do the required work. Those that are saying it was too hard are just LAZY!
this teacher is by far one of the greatest i've had yet. she's pretty textbook heavy, so you must read and pay attention to the maps, as she gives out quizzes. she keeps discussions lively, makes sure you understand what's going on, and is a true historian. she knows her stuff and has traveled. i completely recommend her as a history teacher!
i really like lubisich she has lots of stories & loves what she does. i love that she has traveled & actually seen the places you study & has a story from every place she has been to. she gives a lot of work & you will need to be willing to read, notes are not all that important but map quizess suck b/c she does not specify what exactly to study
Amazing teach and a real genius too. One of the best profs at this school. Helpful, informative, knowledgeable. She is definitely hot too (I had a crush on her all semester). Lot's of writing, no presentations, just discussions. There's also a lot of material you have to read. You want to go to class so you won't miss anything. I learned so much.
OK so these comments on her being easy, err no! Her class is far beyond easy. There's focus questions due every week, The tests/quiz's she gives are not easy. The tests especially are difficult.I agree with the fact that it's a freshmen level class, WHY THE HELL IS IT SOO HARD! This class makes classes like Calculus seem easy
SHE IS THE BEST IN THE WEST
Ok stop posting fake ratings about this professor please, it's really fcking with people. I saw these ratings and took her class, wow she is not easy at all. Tests are all essay type questions. No multiple choice stuff. Read 3 extra books. HARD HARD HARD! there was 30+ students in the class, at the end there was about 10. Take something else.
Bad teacher don't take. HARD CLASS!! expects way to much. This is just a warning for those of you who thinks she's easy because of the fake ratings on her just because she's semi good looking.
Not a piece of cake class, hard as hell, all these ratings are pretty much fake. Would have to say one of the hardest class i've ever taken in my college life. This isn't a university, expects way too much out of the students
I dropped after 2 weeks knowing that I couldn't keep up. Online 6 week class. I don't know how anyone with other classes can keep up. Heavy reading, must notate your answers directly from text. I just didn't see how I could understand thousands of years of history in 6 weeks. I would take her if the class was 16 weeks though.
She is VERY hard. I am not sure if it is any easier during the full quarter, because I had her for Winter. Normal week was 4 chapters and 2 papers due. On top of all the homework she isn't an easy grader, either. I'm definately not a lazy student, but this was WAY too much.
Took 103 and 104 with her - both online. Definitely not easy, but well worth it for majors or non-majors who like the subject.
She is extremely caring and understanding though she has high standards. She does have a bit of a work load but this is college. She makes learning history actually interesting and she's pretty funny. Just do the work and go to class, you'll do fine. I highly recommend her. If you fail you're an idiot..
Dr. Lubisich is an awesome professor who makes learning history fun. She does require a large work load but it is a college course and it only gets harder. She really does care about students succeeding but does not make a fuss if you do not attend her class. Lots of work but worth it in the end..
She is so AMAZING. The workload is pretty dense. You have papers and a weekly chapter. Overall, I got an A so it is manageable to get one. She really knows her stuff and I'll be taking another class or two with her in the Spring. Woo!
grades too hard and expects too much work. will not take her class again.
She is an ok of a teacher, she assigns alot of busy work, there is something always do everyday of her online class. If you like busy work then go a head and take her. Doesnt respond right away she takes time and she just does work out of the book!!!
She is an amazing professor. One of the best teachers I've had at Citrus. She actually teaches! She is attractive, sure, but she's also extremely competent and intelligent. I've never been so captivated by a history class. It's not just names and dates with her, it's critical thinking as well. There is a lot of work, so don't expect a free ride.
I learned so much
I took her class last summer abroad in Italy and it was easy to be a short track of three weeks considering I am an ESL student. She is also very helpful outside of class. She's anwsers all your questions even if you're not in class. I EXTREMELY recommened her.
Her class was so interesting and I learned about so many things in history that i have never previously heard. Take her class, essays are really easy and they are all about actually interesting things
She's by no means an easy teacher. Her class is hard but its manageable. She does give a lot of work but its college you're going to get a big work load. She does care about her students and is extremely helpful. If you're willing to put in the effort its a fun class and you'll learn a lot more than you would from other profs.
She is a great teacher. The class goes like this. Assigned reading, paper, discussion. Here is my advise. You have to read (up to 100 pages a week) and type (1000 words a week). It is a lot of work, but great discussions come from it. With that being said just decide if you can take that kind of a work load.
Geeze, I'm trying to pass the class, not major in history! Articles are like a second book. you have to kill a couple of trees to keep up with the articles. unless you like to study and keep pale indoors, go ahead and take her.
I love history and this is one of the worse teachers I have ever taken! 3 1000 word papers, quizes are imposable to get a A on. She's nice, but not a good teacher. Dont take her!
She seemed like she was really on top of things. She's organised but has a hard time explaining the assignment. I wouldn't take this class with her again.
I took 104 online. If you want an A, you'll need to be dedicated, but it was well worth it! There were 4 books required (1 text and 3 novels)so be prepared for a lot of reading and writing. 2 multiple choice quizzes on each novel w/ discussion papers as well. Chapter q's for the text. Two essays (midterm and final exam).
She requires a lot of reading so be prepared to do that. There are online quizzes you take every week which should be an easy 20 points because she let's you take them twice. She can be pretty challenging if you are not interested in the subject. She requires a couple of papers and Essays along the way but is not a hard grader.
class is really time consuming there is alot of work. but tests are extremely easy.
She really knows what shes teaching but the test are impossible to get A's on. Really hard grader, wont take again.
Be prepared to work hard in this class. She stresses this at the beginning of the course. It may seem like a lot of work but you learn a lot! And she knows her subject very well. I'm glad I took her class. One of the best professors at citrus in my opinion.
Be prepared to work hard. The tests and essays are extremely easy. But be on top of the due dates of the quizzes and assignments. Also be prepared to actually read the books assigned because its a face paced class with much material to cover.
Definitely not a class where you can get by without the book. I wouldn't call it a difficult class, it just requires participation and effort. However, Dr. Lubisich makes the material very interesting and supplements the textbook with other interesting books. Not a class for the lazy!
Amazing teacher! Great class for students who pay attention. Your grade will reflect your knowledge on the content. Very Helpful and knowledgeable. Best professor Ive ever had.
It is by no means impossible to get an A in Dr. Lubisich's class. She was very clear the first day of class that you would have to give 100% to earn an A. This semester, I will be taking another class with her because I enjoyed the last class so much. She is very clear, very helpful, and a very nice person.
so much work as if she's the only class a student needs to take in the whole semester. 2-3 essays a week, 2-3 quizzes 4 books to read, class participation is required. I am an older student and I have no time to do extra things that is not needed so if your like me and you have other responsibilities don't take the class.
Don't take this teacher. You have to buy 3 other books besides the text, and finish them almost immediately. Tons of essays, quizzes every week. You have to be extremely dedicated to history to enjoy this class.
I love Mrs. Lubisich! She is an amazing professor with so much passion and really knows her material! Honestly, you do not even have to take notes, there is no hw, just easy online quizzes that you can take again if you fail and it gives you the answers! I winged this entire class and got a B. Easy peasyy.
It isn't impossible to get an A in this class. You just have to be on top of all the reading and the papers. She knows her classes are hard but she is willing to help if you are having trouble
Although this class is demanding, she is super understanding of what it takes to be student in this day and age. She does go out of her way to make sure you succeed. Reading, quizzes, and short essays is a lot, but it does keep you in check. You learn in her class that a History class isn't History, it's life. Awesome!
IMMENSE AMOUNT OF WORK REQUIRED. Not an easy course.
You are a COLLEGE STUDENT now dont expect an easy way out. She is amazing I love this teacher yes is very hard specially the reading and the quizzes but you will learn specially from someone that has a PHD so take her you wont regret it.
Really enjoyed this class. The professor is really clear and helpful with the subject. Very good information and knowledgeable of her information. Definitely recommend her. There is a lot of work, but how else do you expect to learn.
When she introduced herself, it sounded like a good start but soon she kept saying how easy it was for her to get her Doctorate degree, experience with a French historian etc. I represent Asian/South East Asian students here in Citrus-California and to be honest, i think she did not show any grace and instead gave me a straight F for everything.
A lotttttttttt of assignments. I like that she doesn't require you to speak up in class. However, weekly discussion board posts are assigned.
I thoroughly enjoyed her as a professor. I thought she had realistic expectations of us as students and genuinely cared about us succeeding. Her class isn't too hard if you keep up on your work. I highly recommend her.
I LOVE HER. i had no interest in this subject at all before i took this class, and i'm so glad i did. the class was really time consuming with all of the homework and papers and reading, but i still enjoyed it. it's the first world history class that has actually covered the whole world instead of just western europe. i would take her again :)
Very interesting lectures during class, however the homework will definitely take a toll; way too much of it. She is nice enough to answer questions in class or on essays, however she's very unclear about what she wants on the essays even after asking her many times. Do the discussion board; extra credit is given there. You'll need it.
The class is demanding in terms of the amount of work that is assigned. However, you will be surprised at how effective it is in really teaching you the material. If you are interested in the subject, definitely take this course. The hard work will be well worth the wisdom you will walk away with.
Will admit that the work was challenging but the instructor was very helpful and understanding Was willing to go an extra mile so that you understood what she wanted. Explained everything so that you could understand the work and assignments. Would surely take another class with her. Loved taking her class and highly respect the instructor.
She is my absolute favorite teacher, hands down. I was already interested in history but her class really helped me find my love for it. Lots of reading and writing assignments that can be difficult but its so worth it, I want to take all of her classes.
she is over rated and quite dull in her lectures if you ask me, unless you are a history major. only take her if you are a history major, otherwise you will barely pass. she is difficult.
This class has way too much work for a 3 unit class. Do not take this teacher if you are not a history major because she expects you to have extensive background knowledge in history prior to the lessons. She gives more reading and essay assignments than some english classes. However, she does grade fairly easy and and is a very kind person.
As a History Major, this class was amazing. Dr Lubisich not only provides amazing lectures, but strongly encourages her students to participate throughout the semester. That said, there are 4 books for this course (and yes you will read them front to back) along with around 5 papers (no question tests) "show me what you do know- not what you dont."
Took her class for fall 2014 and it was one of the best class I've had that semester. The discussions are never dull and always engaging - she made history fun. That being said, get ready to read! Online quizzes were trivial if you read the textbook and the discussion papers are alright once you get the hang of it.
Professor Lubisich is very passionate about history and a wonderful teacher. You will be reading and writing a ton, especially if you take her online course. She has her online class set up in way that you can't cheat. You must post to the discussion boards, write essays and take quizzes every week. The class is not hard if you read the book.
I would not recommend or take her EVER again. Assignments are unclear and vague. Quiz's are hard to pass, unclear, written poorly and repeated questions within the quiz. When asking questions, her response is little to nothing and she does not check emails frequently.
I really enjoyed this class. Professor Lubisich focused more on the literature and the history than art and music during the period that we covered. However, I feel like I really learned a lot. The epics that you read are all enjoyable, and I walked away with a new-found appreciation for the culture of prehistory through the medieval period.
I think the younger students are somewhat intimidated by her but I am an older student so I am not overly impressed with her. I think she just tries to make herself look real smart because she knows most students do not know much history at all. I come from a family that valued history and she really is not as great as she wants students to think.
I DID NOT like this teacher! She seems like a cool person, but as a professor; not so much. Gives wayyy too much homework and discussion board posts! The lectures are very boring and she just reads off of them. There is a lot of homework and the first couple of weeks are super intense. There are no tests though, just essays in place of them.
I was looking forward to this class. Anytime I had history before, I loved learning about different civilizations and how they made impacts on history throughout the world, but her liberalist choice of texts that never taught anything other than ideals, impossible tests, and endless hours of busy work made this class impossible to enjoy.
First of all, this class is not meant to be difficult, so no matter the professor, if you find it to be challenging, it's most likely because you aren't college ready. If you pay attention and engage yourself in the course material, you'll be just fine. Senya was incredible, she's worldly and cultured, elegant and quirky, calm and interesting.
If you take this class, expect to learn something new. There's alot of work, but it's pretty regularly spaced out so its not impossible. If you need help, she responds pretty fast too. I loved this class.
Professor Lubish is amazing. I took 2 classes with her back to back literally had an hour break between classes. I got an A+ in one and a B+ in the other. Test are hard if you don't pay attention or do Homework.
Professor Senya Lubisich is such an amazing teacher and has a passion teaching about humanities and history. In her class your grade is earned by the effort you show and put in her assignments. She assigns a weekly journal, online quizzes, and various essay's you will do. Also she uses blackboard which is extremely helpful. I learned so much here
Her class is packed with assignments, but it's spaced out so it can be done in a timely manner. Because her classroom is flipped, a majority of the work is done through Blackboard. She's willing to listen to your issues if you are having trouble with the essays or any of the assignments.
i take her online this semester and she such a jerk... she not even try to help even i send her a messages.
If you are a history major or enthusiast, this professor may be the one for you. She is extremely dedicated and you will learn a lot, but it is also very difficult. I made the mistake of having a full load while taking two of her classes and I ended up juggling attendance a few times. I rate her a 4.5/5 regardless because she offers a lot as a prof
I learned plenty during the 6 weeks and the heavy workload was more than manageable, but then again I personally read every word in the textbook, so you must take it seriously. Professor Lubisich responds quickly and gives specific feedback so you can give her what she is looking for. I'm taking her again for Honors Humanities.
no need to explain. Just don't take her.
This class involves a lot of work, but Dr. Lubisich is very clear from the start about what she expects from students. The grading rubric is clear and she gives positive feedback. She is very involved and expects you to be too.
Don't take this class online not with this particular professor. The biggest issue I had with this online class is the workload. If you're not taking any other class maybe this one is for you? The class is worth 3 credits and It felt more 4+ or 5+ credit class with the amount of material we had to read as well as the tests weren't easy.
A lot of tedious work but easy A if you read the textbook and do your primary source analysis on how she wants it
We do not deserve Senya, she was definitely a professor that wanted you to succeed. Her class was interesting, it was lecture heavy, like she can talk your ear off but they were very informative. We literally had 2 tests in the class, the mid term and the final, all fill in, no multiple choice, so if you don't pay attention then you will fail.
She is not very clear with her assignments both due-date and requirements, she takes her grading serious, her lectures don't match the quizzes she gives which makes them extremely difficult, VERY serious about emails to the point where if you do not follow her exact guideline to email her, she will not respond. I really don't recommend this class.
This professor kept the class full of nonsense. I took her for an online class and she made us download a bunch of things just to get to her hour long orientation. Wouldnt recommend to anyone who want an easier sensible class.
Took her online, although she is easily accessible, she is intensely lecture heavy. Each week there were at least 5-7 readings in addition to exercises, discussion boards, response to discussion boards, journal entries etc. There was A LOT of reading and homework to get thru. However, if you try, and participate, she grades accordingly.
This class was a bit challenging but if you do all the work she assigns, you will be fine. I recommend asking questions she will answer all of them and make it clear. She is not strict.
You must complete all of the work of the module week before moving on. She'll have the next week locked until you complete everything, and I mean everything. A lot of reading, but it'll be easy to analyze. Great feedback and answered questions right away. Definitely recommend.
Make us to do lots of nonsense work before the class start, and lots of homework
She is horrible
It was an intense course because it was 8 week course during fall so students are required to read 2-3 chapters a week of history textbook. The ch section in textbook are not at all lengthening i.e. 4-5(1pg each) sections a chapter . Students are also required to read Celia, A Slave, without this completed you wont pass because you have quiz/essay
She gives a lot of homework and she has high expectations too. However, she graded things and responded to emails really fast. Her quizzes were pretty hard too, so make sure you read all the materials and do some research.
Professor was absolutely amazing. She brought out my love of history which was something I didn't know I had. I think I will change my major.
Can't move onto next section until you completed previous one, cant take the test first then do the discussion. Has to be her order only, frustrating. Assignment expectations aren't the clearest, always had to ask for more clarification. Test have unlimited tries, ridiculously hard for a 100 . Tedious assignments, didn't get much out of them.
this is my second time taking this professor her classes are super easy. no book needed. and she also give you lot YouTube videos to watch to go with the course. gives feedback quick and she easy grader. only one essay easy quizzes that you can retake
She really cares about her students. However, the class is much too dense for a 3 unit class. There are 3-4 time-consuming assignments a week including lots of reading (I mean LOTS) and writing. Took way too much time & didn't learn anything because I had to rush through everything just to finish on time. She's a fair grader and responds quickly.
Professor Lubisich is very good at teaching! She's very passionate about history and makes it engaging for students. The only downfall is the research paper at the end. Really recommend taking her though!
Awesome professor. Manageable workload, answers emails quickly. Clear and organized instructions. Very understanding and flexible during the time we spent transitioning all our classes online. Really cares about your progress and making sure you understand the material. Lots of reading but assignments and tests are based on what she has you read.
Took HUM 101 during Spring 2020. This class was not affected by the online transition as it was already online. Although, she still made certain that we can access her whenever. She provides readings (no textbook) which can be challenging to understand, but she will help if need be. The class consisted of hw assignments, discussions, and an exam.
Amazing teacher! There is a bit of work to do but nothing out of the ordinary. Discussion, quiz, & assignment for each chapter. She is really clear on what she is looking for and was always available for questions. Don't skip the videos they help so much with the content! If you do the weekly reading and assignments you will do fine.
Fantastic professor! Genuinely wants everyone to succeed and always available to answer questions. Super clear criteria for assignments and they follow a predictable pattern. No suprises which made it easy to keep up during COVID. There is work to do but none of it is hard, random, or based on something we havent learned. Take her! 100 % recommend
Taking Dr. L's class during COVID was a fantastic choice! Her HIST103 online class was very engaging and easy to follow. There's a lot of textbook reading paired with discussion posts, which makes the density of the reading a bit easier. Dr. Lubisich is very understanding and has a clear syllabus to follow. I'd highly recommend her class to anyone.
If you are someone who likes to spend hours on reading and watching TED talks then this class is for you! Besides getting to do so much reading, the homework for this class consists of weekly paragraph responses to test if you actually read everything LOL. All I have to say is, good luck on her midterm/finals :')
I really love her class! She was super nice and gives good feedback. Although just be ready to read! you don't need to buy a textbook as she makes a video of herself explaining what the chapter is about. I would take her again!
This is my second time taking her class, it was a 6 week course but I managed to fly through it. There was discussion every week and one final which was super easy. Also, she's very caring and gives good feedback so don't feel scared to approach her if you have any questions. As long as you read and do her assignments you will pass!
Absolutely wonderful. The perfect example of someone who chose the right profession. I can't recommend her enough. She is the best.
Sort of a lot of reading but its history so I expected it. She gives extra credit opportunities that help SOOO much so do them. She gives feedback on discussions :) Isn't too heavy of a class, I took it during winter
dropped and never added back because I forgot to click submit "claiming severe absence" even though the students and myself were replying to the assignment discussions
This was one of the best online classes I've ever taken. Can be a lot of reading, but her video lectures made it easier, and the quizzes and discussions are straightforward. The class was highly organized, and she responded quickly whenever I had a question. Seriously, all online classes should be like hers. I never write reviews either.
