very helpful prof, but writes super long exams. lectures are very useful so pay attention. marking scheme is fair.
His MT and Finals are way to long and all the questions are nested, so if you don't now how to start it, you screwed
THE EXAMS ARE QUITE LONG BUT THEY ARE NOT THAT HARD. YOU MAY GET GRADE 'A' IF YOU STUDY A BIT.
HIS EXAMS ARE QUITE LONG BUT THEY ARE EASY IF YOU STUDY A BIT.
really good prof. has a really good sense of humor and his exams are really fair. you just have to study his notes not even the textbook. Econ 105
Very good prof
True, his exams are fair, and he does crack a joke here and there, but i just found his lectures so, SO boring. Very nice guy, but in courses like intro to micro or macro, it could be so easy and beneficial to bring examples from current events and interpret them. Too bad he thinks so inside the box, because he has potential.
he's good ;]]
Helpfulness, easygoing.
He's very boring. needs to improve English.
Jun is a nice guy but he makes for a very bad teacher. Yes his English could use some work, and his lectures are monotone but that isn't really a big issue. The problem is that all he teaches is numbers and formulas, no theory. As a student you can't grasp the concept behind the equation because he is unable to articulate. His tests are hard.
Nice and outgoing teacher. Granted his accents is factor to understanding some material. Overall hes a good professor and is willing to help you understand the material he teaches.
I see that some people have commented on how he's boring. Keep in mind that it IS economics and he makes it as interesting as possible. Tests are completely fair. He prepares you for them very well. If you do put in the time to study, you'll do great on the exam. Overall, excellent prof.
He knows what he's talking about. If you're interested in the subject, it's not painful. Personally, to me, the course is dry. But good prof. He uses entertaining examples.
The course material is so dry but he's hot so his looks makes up for it. His accent can be hard to understand sometimes but who cares, he's hoooooot! ;)
Jun's a funny guy, the accent often gets in the way though. Great notes but his midterms cover EVERYTHING. Final was alright but he has questions about every big concept. Scales and has a "salvation scheme" Overall a nice good prof but you will have difficulties understanding him at times.
I really do not understand why the easiness scale for Jun is so high. His exams get progressively harder. The first midterm was fair, the second midterm was substantially harder relative to the first one, and the final was just a killer. MT 1 average was 62% and MT 2 average was 56%. I can only presume the average for the final will be worse.
He's a nice guy but he needs to do a better job of getting the class to stop talking!!! His tests are relevant to his notes but are definitely more challenging than the examples :P Overall, he is a good prof and I hope i get an A-!!! I screwed up some questions on the final but maybe the scaling will help
Jun is a nice and funny guy. Pretty strong accent. Really willing to help. Structure of exams is predictable after the first midterm, and exams were largely fair, but not always perfectly understandable. Recommend if you don't understand his lecture notes, read the textbook, it makes more sense than how he chooses to word it. Is a tougher course.
Difficult to understand him, but he tries his best to provide examples to help you understand concepts. First midterm was easy, second was much harder, final was okay. Read all his lecture notes. Memorization won't help you much, need to fully understand it all. Lectures were super boring. Not an easy A at all. But it helps that it's scaled!
Economics is arguably the hardest 1st year university course but Jun does a good job of clearly explaining it in his accent hehe. Midterms and final include real world applications and are tough but fair. Don't worry about averages as the class will be scaled to your favour. The MC sets are extremely helpful, and love the fill in the blank notes :)
Jun is a Boss. Wears a/x and drives a balling car. A part from that, everything he tests on is emphasized in class, and his MC are taken from sets which are posted online. Also he'll weigh your MTs less if you do good on the final. For a dry course like macroeconomics Jun teaches it well and ensures you are able to apply it to real life scenarios.
He doesn't give any mandatory homework (except tutorial questions) so that is a plus, except it may dampen your grade because you're not being forced to apply your knowledge. But I do advise you to read the textbook and review his notes to get a better understanding for his exams. His exams require you to understand the material very well!
Econ has always been a very boring topic to me but Jun makes it really interesting. And, for the first time, I feel I finally understand Econ. His exams are not easy but he is very very helpful and is willing to help. Office hours are extremely helpful. His notes are fill in the blanks which makes life a lot more easy in class so you get to listen.
this course is a great course for understanding macroeconomics! the professor makes things really easy to understand and tries his best to make his lectures interesting. textbook is not really necessary unless you're trying to get an A.
Jun goes beyond his ability to help me and many other students to get good marks. Also, he is willing to spend extra time to explain econ theories and concepts to his students to underatand better. Not only that, his lectures are very interesting and he makes it funny using lits of examples. I would definitely recommend him for econ classes!!!
Jun is a nice prof. He keeps in interesting even though it is a dry course. He has good notes, but exams are tough. His exams are leaning on the fair-tough side. Sophie is a great TA!
Really good prof, tests get gradually harder
Notes are awesome don't need textbook. Tests get harder but are fair. Final was pretty hard. The course is set up that you basically get 15% if you attend all lectures and tutorials. Jun explains things great and makes lectures interesting.
I had difficulty understanding b/c of his accent. You automatically get 15% for going to tutorials. He explains pretty well, just I cant understand him. For midterms, he gives you a set of practice MC Q and he'll choose 15 to put on the exam.I thought that his m/t were pretty hard and each question continues off the one before. Final was pretty fair
I'm not from Korea so his accent was tough to understand for the first two days. After that it was no problem and he's one of the best profs I've ever had. He gives lots of simple examples, and he's often really funny. Repeats the important stuff so you remember. Don't need the TB as his notes and lectures are fantastic. Careful: tests challenging.
A very good tecacher. His concepts are very clear and he is very helpful too.
I wish I had him the first time I took the class. He's very engaging and always willing to clarify things for you. You don't need the textbook at all, unless you need clarification. His accent is a little strong, but you'll get use to it. You need to understand the concepts, memorizing won't help you at all. It was a hard class, but it's scaled.
Accent is a bit heavy, but he has his slides online so you can print it out and fill in the blanks as he goes. Has pop quizzes (just for bonus marks). Textbook is helpful, but you can always go to his office hours if you need more explanation. He's really nice, so don't be scared.
Math-based prof for most of the sem but it serves as good practice for other econ courses. Overall, hard to understand at first, but after all the "is it right?"s and questionable grammar from time to time he really is AN AMAZING, FAIR and REASONABLE PROF. Approachable with a great sense of humor. ABSOLUTELY WORTH TAKING ANY COURSE WITH HIM! =)
He is a really nice one. Although the exam is little bit hard, as long as you work hard you can do well. I love his lecture. He is good!
Exams are difficult and very long.
Super helpful and nice! Best prof you could ever have if you utilize his office hours and TAs. Only he would put up office hours everyday of the weekend before an exam to help us out. If you suck at econ or need help, don't hesitate to see him!
Very helpful and entertaining professor. He has an accent, but never a dull moment in his class. Very fair exam, no surprises. The MCs on exams are taken directly from homework. Midterm weight can be partially shifted to Final. Crystal clear notes, no need to read/use the textbook. Do not hesitate if given a choice guys/gals!
What can I say, I love this guy. Sure he has an accent, but he's so funny and caring! Never a dull moment in Jun's class!
too many mc in exam and too hard
Jun is a humorous guy and has a heavy Korean accent. He provides organized lecture notes that are useful. The TA is knowledgeable in the material but not so good in English. Jun's exams tend to be hard so be well prepared.
This guy seriously needs to improve his English. His oral English is simply not what you expect to hear at university level.
exams are too difficult >:(
I absolutely love this guy, his lectures are very entertaining and you really learn a lot in his class. The exams are generally on the fair-difficult side; however, he holds extra office hours before every exam, and responds to emails very fast. Highly recommended.
Jun is a decent prof. This was my first econ class and I found his lectures very clear. His exams were long and difficult but if you put the time into studying you'll do fine. The material is really dry and boring but Jun tries his best to keep you focused throughout the lecture. I would definitely take a class with him again!
Midterm average for his class was 30%. All questions math based and nested. Thick accent.
Super nice teacher, always available for help, funny guy, explain concept clearly
Amazing prof. Has fill in the blank notes, make sure you attend class and understand the concepts. Gives practice Mc of which he chooses some to put on midterms. Very helpful. Work hard because the material is heavy but Jun was amazing and teaching it
He is too hard. He doesnt care about his students. I cannt understand what he is saying. His Exams are too hard. He makes ECON105 more difficult that what it actually is.
Assignments , midterms, and final is brutal. Class average is like 37% on exams and 50% on assignments
Good Prof, But Hard Exams. Study Hard !
This professor is very smart and obviously understands the material thoroughly...however, he cannot teach worth a damn. I studied extensively for the final and received an absolutely appalling grade. His exams are extremely difficult and convoluted. Someone needs to remind him hit is a 100 LEVEL COURSE.
If the class average for a final exam is 40 after you've been teaching 240 people a subject for an entire semester, thats a pretty clear sign that you should seriously reconsider the way you teach and write your exams. This professor is bad. Avoid.
I'm not econ major, but I think this course is not hard, it's just time consuming. The exams were okay, but I agree that the 1st midterm was long and harder than the 2nd midterm. The math portion on the 1st MT is just algebra, no big deal. You just have to know what you're doing. He has an accent, so you have to listen carefully. The book helps
fair grading. course material is boring but Jun does his best to keep everyone awake.
His first midterm was a lot harder than his second one. The final wasn't too bad. It is important that you go in understanding the concepts he starred. He is a very good lecturer and his notes are awesome. His TA's are useless but Jun is very willing to help.
37% MT1 avg. 39% MT2/44%Final avg. No one cares if he's a nice teacher/ can teach / is helpful/clear/smart. He teaches you 1+1 in class clearly but so what? He will teach you ABC clearly in lecture but expects u to know ABCDEFGHIJK. His MT was 16 pages. Highest in class was 75%. After he curves the class avg, it was like 51%. Seriously?
vary hard exams & assignments. final 16 pages, and every exam expects u to solve the NEW TYPE OF PROBLEM using what you know but most are what you NOT learned in class. AVOID.
He's really nice, but has really hard and long exams! All exams are conceptual so be prepared to think. You cant go into his exams by simple memorizing stuff, you really have to internalize everything. Class average was always around 40%-55%. Would not recommend him unless he's your last resort to taking econ 105. Good luck!
I'm a third year student, and the difficulty of the course is just medium among the courses I've taken so far. To those who complain about the difficulty of the course, you'll see much harder couses than this as you take more courses. According to Maclean's statistics, only 2/3 of students can graduate from SFU within 7 years.
He really tries to make economics enjoyable by being humorous. Tricky/Tough midterms/exams but the class is curved which definitely helps. Accent made it hard for me to understand him but notes are fill in the blank so no biggie. Textbook is useless, lecture notes are enough to help you get through midterms/exam. Wouldn't really recommend.
Just too hard test to do, if you can get answer NO.1, you can't get all of rest answer.
Easy as long as you following with him, exam it decent. Funny and interesting class.
His exams are fair and similar to the assignments and notes. Also, it is pretty much impossible to get less than 30% since you are given the answers for the MC are all given to you ahead of time. Overall, he is a great prof and definitely recommend taking 105 with him.
AVOID unless you want to lower your gpa. Hardest tests class avg was fail for all midterms
Notes are really clear. You really need to understand the concepts, & do the math. Exams are quite straight forward, a little difficult, but easy to get a good mark in (because of the scale). There's a bit of writing, and you need to have a bit of economic background. Study the MCQ sets! Jun is personally very nice, a good prof, easy to talk to.
Jun is a wonderful guy! He does his best to make the material exciting with jokes and his general interest in his students well-being. Exams are definitely difficult, but he gives you the answers in lecture notes and tutorial assignments. Go to class and ensure you review the notes. Grades are curved so just stay above the average.
Great prof ignore all the bad reviews. He is great tests are easy if you study. Take it with him this class was great
Great lecturer + fair exams. Definitely try the MCQs-they are not only on the exams (easy 30%!), but are essential tools in understanding the key concepts. Notes are a bit too concise-so pay attention in class, go to tutorial, read the textbook! I found e-mails more helpful than office hours as he was always quick to respond. Overall a great prof!
He's a pretty good prof, good notes, fair midterm and final. He's a little difficult to understand because of his accent, but if you ready the textbook and compliment it with his notes, you'll understand most of everything.
Jun is an amazing prof and funny. He uses examples that students can relate to. His exams seem hard, but they're all based off his notes and things he says in class. I ended up with an A by just reviewing notes. A lot of exams questions are straight from the assignments as well. If you do the assignments and go to class, you will succeed.
Hard to understand but notes are helpful. Exams are okay. Study MCQ, notes and assignments and you'll do fine.
Exams are really hard and his accent makes sometimes makes it hard to understand him in lecture. However, he scales and it is easy to beat the average on exams. Midterms and final are based off the tutorial assignments, so study those really well.
Great prof! The course material could be perceived as quite boring but Jun uses a mix of class interaction, analogies, and humor to help you relate to the material better. The exams are no cakewalk; however, if you review all your assignments, notes, and do the practice mc questions, they are more than possible to do well on.
hes not bad... Repeats all this exam questions. Find someone with previous exam papers and you shall get an A
Outstanding clarity and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend to people who do not complain about accents.
Overall, he is a good prof. He's very helpful as he has lots of office hours and responds to every email very quickly. He is hard to understand because of his heavy accent however. The material is very dry but he tries to keep things interesting in lecture through his funny stories. Never used the textbook, his lecture notes cover everything.
Exams are tough. The average was 29%, but he added 10% to all students so it's 39%. Have to listen very carefully due to his accent.
He was an awesome teacher, as in he knew the concepts well and gave good examples. He was very difficult to understand-- this definitely made the course tough. He was a funny guy though! Second midterm was reaaal tough, final was more fair. All in all, a pretty decent prof!
Hilarious guy, fun to be in his lecture to hear him talk although it requires a lot of focus to catch everything he is saying due to his accent, but nonetheless a great prof. However he gives hard tests. destroyed my self confidence after taking his tests.
Jun is a very funny, knowledgeable prof. He is always very willing to help and cares about his students. He does have a strong Korean accent so he was sometimes difficult to understand but he enunciates well. Exams were quite difficult.
A professor who really gives the time to respond to emails and help students out. Hard to understand his lectures sometimes because of his accent. He gives good study notes and practice questions that help for the tests.
Jun is the best Econ prof I v ever had, his notes are crystal clear, and there isn't much need for a text book. By attending his lecture and read every lecture notes, it a guaranteed pass. However, it does take time if you want an A. Do all the MCQs(60 per chapter), not only helps MCQs on exam but also understanding. Effort A in his class.
Jun was the best econ prof I've had at SFU, his notes are crystal clear and very straight forward, understand those and you'll ace the class. Exams are extremely tough so prepare by doing end of chapter questions and looking over the in class quizzes again. Prepare especially well for the 2nd midterm, a third of the class failed that.
Jun is funny, but his tests are very tough. Averages on the second midterm and final were below 50%. However, his notes are very concise. Do the MCQ's for each chapter and you should be fine on the tests.
Terrible prof. The worst language skills I have ever seen among all the profs.
the best professor i have ever met in sfu, he makes me to love economics
Passionate in teaching, it is him that makes me to love economics
Jun is really sick! this guy had really hard questions on exam.
Jun does not follow the textbook at all, midterms and final exams are based off of lecture notes which he goes through throughly during lecture. Open book tutorial quizzes I found were very difficult. Both midterms were very hard, however I found the final exam contrastingly different and very easy. He also has an heavy accent.
Probably the worse prof I have ever had in SFU. The course material was already hard enough and his thick accen and hard marking just made it horrible. DO NOT BE IN HIS CLASS ur GPA will fall and half the class failed. Worst course ever. Will forever be haunted by his accent
hard exams and midterms
Good lecturer (but has heavy accent). I found his lecture notes really helpful. Manageable exams but he's very strict on checking it, so I don't think the exam results strongly reflected what I learn in his class.
His lecture notes were really helpful and easy to understand. I made flashcards based off his lecture notes and basically memorized everything but the midterm and final was still kind of difficult. Make sure you read the questions carefully for the open book quizzes in tutorial and do the practice MCs and homework questions !
Although Jun is hard to understand sometimes, he is actually a passionate teacher. He explains the concepts in details. I remember his joke he told us in class and he tries to make the class interesting. His example is also easy to understand and related to topics. Recommend to those who are studying economics for the first time.
Jun is a really underrated professor in my opinion. Sure, he has a pretty thick accent, but he provides really comprehensive fill-in-the-blank notes which make note-taking in lectures very easy, and he's consistently funny--always trying to lighten up a pretty dry subject. He made macroeconomics consistently fun, and his tests are fair. Good prof!
This course was very tough for a 100 level course. Jun seems to know the material quite well, but he grades very strictly, and be aware his tests are killer, you have to use the right words and have to match the economic principles, the way he taught it in lectures, in addition textbook wasnt too helpful neither were his TA's. Avoid at all costs...
mean marking teacher and he said that he need students to answer exam in his way otherwise he can't understand what students write about even though the students get answers.
Jun was one of my favorite lower division professors. Do all of the homework and practice midterms/finals and you will do very well in the course. All ECON courses are hard. Do not expect to get off easy in this course. Very funny lectures, and a great guy in person. 100% recommend taking 105 with him.
His lectures are very straight forward, as he prepared all the lecture notes. No surprises on quizes and exams, and gives lots of examples and analogies to help students understand. Definitely would take again.
His concepts and knowledge is good however his thick accent makes it difficult to understand throughout the lecture
Jun is a very nice person. He provides good notes but the exams are extremely difficult. This is an extremely tough class due to the heavy emphasis on exams and the notes and class content not preparing you for this. The accent is not that big of a deal but it does impact the flow of the lecture. Get a tutor and best of luck!
Tough class but Jun was very willing to help and always encourages questions, even over email. He posts lecture notes online, however, there are blanks to fill in that you must attend the lecture for - or have a friend who can send you pictures as he doesn't post the filled out ones online!
Jun's second midterm is really difficult but his first midterm and final are fair - just make sure you go over all MCQs every week and pay attention in class. His lectures are funny and straightforward. He does have a heavy accent but it's not a huge problem because he speaks slowly.
Need to pay full attention in class, need attend each and every class, need to do all required reading before class, prepare for each quiz, and DO NOT take any mid term for granted prepare as completely as possible
Do the practice quizzes. Follow his lectures. Study his notes not the book. Quizzes and midterms are challenging so go prepared.
Jun is a great. He makes sure everybody understands before moving on and goes in-depth answering questions. He makes jokes and is very funny, which makes the class more enjoyable. If you do his MCQ questions, quizzes are a breeze. His exams are much harder, however. If you study, you will get the mark you deserve. You'll get used to his accent :)
Jun was the best prof I've ever had at SFU. I took both econ103 and econ105 with him. He was extremely understanding and would condense the textbook into his own personal notes so purchasing a textbook is not needed.
Jun was an amazing prof last semester!!! No textbook is needed as Jun explains the course very well in his notes. Jun uses real life examples to explain economic concepts. Really good prof although you really need to study for midterms and final exam. He gives a quiz every week which you need to study for as well!
I really dont recommend him. His exams are so hard and the final is mind blowing also he has a thick accent which makes it more difficult...
He's got good notes and he explains fairly well (he has a thick accent and its hard to hear sometimes) but his exams and midterms are insanely hard. The averages for his midterms and finals are 45% - 50% I don't recommend him at all just because of his exams. He provides a lot of practice but even after doing all of them I still felt unprepared.
He is sooooo good if you focus on the lecture. One tip to get high grade is doing MCQs after chapters - you will understand fully the lecture and perform well in exams
I really dont understand why his exams are so hard, actually for my previous class more than 70% of the students failed his course.
He is an amazing and hilarious instructor. He knows he has strong accent so he teaches slowly and easily to understand. He gave us good examples and very helpful in the office hours. highly recommend
In my opinion, there are MUCH BETTER economic teachers in sfu.
Great instructor, he is always able to review the concept clearly. He does have an accent but I don't think that affects his teaching quality at all. His exam is not easy but promotes your critical thinking. If u really wanna learn something about Economic and not just aiming at the grade, he is the best instructor I met.
he's awesome as he explains everything in detail and also helps you to clear all the basic concepts.
best prof ever bye <3
Terrible terrible prof. Thick accent, horrible lectures. Always late for class by at least 5 min. Just dont ever take his class, NOT WORTHY AT ALL!!
Jun explains concepts very well to match his notes, however if you're taking this online be aware of his multiple-answer quizzes and midterms. The way the questions are worded are meant to trick you and the class typically averages low in quizzes. This class isn't supposed to be as hard as he makes it. Great guy though, answers questions clearly.
I took his online lectures. He teaches things are necessary. However you really need to fully understand his lectures to do his quizzes and tests. He has his accent which is not so easy to hear through videos but he is a nice and replies email real quick. It's a great class curve for hard-workers. If you work hard you get extremely good grades.
All I can say is just avoid this teacher for Econ courses and youll be fine.
his accent is hard to hear.
Jun has by far the most difficult quizzes I have ever taken at SFU. It's almost like he wants us to fail.. because who makes quizzes 13 questions for 10 minutes and it may or may not have multiple answers. I was at 35% and because of the curve, I got a C-. So I guess I wasn't the only person struggling.
Caring and good professor
Explains concepts well. If you apply yourself, you will be fine
TAKE HIM! He was the best ECON professor I had and no it's not that difficult to deal with accents honestly if you understand English you are good to go! Econ is a difficult course so you need to devote yoursef irrespective of the instructors but Professor Choi makes learning econ a bit more easy! Attend all his lectures and you'll easily ace ^^ .
I'm so happy I got to be in his class, his lectures might be long but the way he explains makes everything so much easy-going. He is a tough grader, and his exams are hard; you have to pay attention and take notes if you don't understand something, he's great in office hours and will answer any question, I'm taking his class for Econ103.
Well, i see lots of nonsense reviews. No doubt that he is a tough grader, he actually fails more than 50% of the class. His accent is so thick which makes it even harder for someone who is a native english speaker to understand the course. OVERALL, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM AT ALL!
What a GOAT... Jun is an amazing professor who spoon feeds you this course with his fill in the blank notes. I always enjoyed his lectures as he would take about his life and relate it to the content. This guy is such a goat he omitted 4 chapters for the final exam, we only did ONE more additional chapter after the second midterm and that was it!
Jun is a great prof overall, and he's really sweet. He gives great examples during his lectures to help students better understand concepts. His accent really isn't an issue when it comes to understanding his lectures. His exams and quizzes are very difficult, so make sure you really understand key concepts and can apply the concepts.
He is an amazing prof. even though his test is not easy at all, he encourages us to have real learning. If you are looking for free lunch from his class, stay away. Overall, great experience with the Econ103 class taught by Jun
Jun's tests are hard. They cause me physical pain. However, the rest of his class is alright, I suppose. His lectures are interesting enough, and he seems to enjoy his job well enough, so that's good on him! If you take Jun's classes, make sure to prepare as much as you can, because his quizzes can seriously tank your grade. Otherwise alright. 4/5.
His tests are very hard. You have to get marks in his quizzes. Midterms are ...... Not explaining the calculation parts well. Turn it to Pass fail if its not your major course. You can have free credit and not affecting your gpa. He is kind of nice. Willing to help to though the email.
Jun is a good prof. All his material is through lectures, and tutorials are totally useless but he has note templates to print out that are super helpful. He makes them interactive, and you just have to fill in the blanks (easy peasy). Theres no assignments though, just midterms and quizzes so if you get test anxiety youre out of luck.
I took Juns course and he is my best professor this term by far. Hes funny, engaging and explains concepts using real life examples that are easy to understand. Although the quizzes are difficult if you pay attention and do the practice work you can definitely get a good grade. He tries to give as much information as possible to do well.
His lectures might be difficult to follow sometimes but the hardest thing was probably the tests. Unlike other teachers, his tests will be closed note; therefore, you have to remember all the formulas on your own, if you never study econ before college, I would recommend you to look for another.
Test hard, and no formula was given.
Great prof, hard test, he prepares lecture note and lots of practice material for you. Great lecture. Just be sure to study and you will be fine.
The lectures are nice and you get to understand everything until you get to the exams. This exams are difficult and if you want to pass the course, you should study every week.
Jun is super nice and very willing to help and wants you to do well. He says first lecture if you have a problem with his accent then get a different prof, I got used to his accent very quickly and enjoyed the class although it was definitely a tough class
Jun was really nice and approachable at all time during the semester. I found him to be making every effort so that students can understand the concept and be ready for exams. The quizzes are easy and are not much of a drag if you know the materials and have watched the lectures. Some people mind his accent but I got used to it in no time.
Have clear lecture notes with a good explanation, and he always being so kind and patient when you have questions. The only disadvantage is the quizzes and tests are extremely hard with multiple answers to questions. If you want to get a good grade; you have to study SO hard. Other than that, he is a great professor!
Jun's exams are tough as hell, ECON105 is not as hard as it looks like when you see his question paper. Except that, he is a good professor. He teaches good, he is caring, his grading system is also perfect and overall he is the teacher you should pick if you are ready to face his exams and quizzes offline
He's alright, I guess.
Took him for Econ 103 and 105. Not sure why people are saying he's a tough marker, when his test questions are all from his lecture notes. Go to class and pay attention, then you will do really well!
Very good notes, real life examples given, caring and funny at times. Do not hesitate to ask questions and read notes thoroughly before lectures. 10/10 would do it again. Ps: he loves kimchi
tests are very hard, quizzes are easy and teaching is good
Come to class and do your quizzes. Exams are so easy. All the multiple choice questions are 100% copies and pasted from quizzes.
Tough exams, but Prof. Choi is helpful and cares about student success. Take good notes, use the free textbook, and try Unstuck AI for extra practice - it really helped me prep for the challenging quizzes.
