This by far was the best college course I've ever taken. Extremely knowledgeable professor and definitely one who will not stress or kill you while taking him. Want an A? All you have to do is show interest, show up in class, and do your assignments (which is minimal compare to all other professors)

Be on time, pay attention to what he saying in class, participate in the discussion, read the book and you will have an A. He does a great review, watch grammar mistakes.

this is my favorite class i ever taken, he is on of the smartest teachers i have EVER had, he is extremely interesting. He made me want to change my major to international affairs.I feels so knowlegeable when in the class. Barrock paints a game that's been played around the world and it's not soccer. Class is amazing as well as informative. Wonderfully explains what is going on around the world and gets the students involved. Definitely aces for everyone, not just Political Science Majors!

This is a wonderflu Professor. His teaching strategies are wonderful, relates well to students, and if you are taking a Saturday class for 3 hours you will not even notice the time. I would HIGHLY recommend him. And I do not take my critiques lightly. You will not be diappointed.

By far one of the greatest professors I've ever taken. He KNOWS his stuff, and not the information shown on ABC and CNN. He's goes beyond all that. He is very helpful and actually interacts with his students and forms a relationship with his students. If he was teaching another class I'd definitely take him. To others he's HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

He's a great teacher, I've learned more about history and current events that I had in my life. He's also very funny and creates a relationship with his students. The only thing I found a little bit annoying, was having to do the homework by watching CNN, takes up a lot of time.. His tests are easy, just don't make grammatical mistakes

The best! If you're not into International Relations, you will be. He's is particular on spelling, and on the Powerpoint projects but he's fair, fun and makes every lesson into a story you want to know more about. HIGHLY recomended!

The class is smooth and you learn alot.You don't need to buy the book.Just make sure you take thorough notes.You have weekly CNN 1 page reports, 2 test, and a powerpoint. You'll breeze through all of them. He interactive and you're rarely bored.

Great guy. He cares about his students. I cared nothing about International Relations prior to this class, but he makes it so clear and interesting its hard not to. To get less than an A in this class you have to really try to fail. 5 1-pg papers, 1 group ppt, midterm & final. VERY EASY A,. PIECE OF CAKE! JUST SHOW UP TO CLASS & YOU WILL DEF PASS!

He is the greatest professor!!! Must take if you want to learn and receive an easy "A" simultaneously. He's very caring, cool and extremely humorous. He's easy if you take notes and show up to class but if you don't let him know ahead or give him an excuse. I truly enjoyed his class tremendously in the summer and I think you will too.

One of the best professors I have had. He really wishes to inspire students to have an open view on the world and to seek out knowledge. The class consists of two mid difficulty tests, and a simple group presentation. You will have to watch a CNN show and write about it every Sunday. I Highly recommend this class.

Mr. Barrock is super nice and does makes you laugh a lot. Only 2 tests (midterm & final) but all is covered in class. You just have to pay attention and take notes. This class is not hard AT ALL. His lectures are interesting so you really learn a lot. Would definitely recommend him to everyone!

His class was funny. I liked going to class every day. His test are not hard, but you really have to study if you don't then i really hope you have a great memory. I failed the first one cuz i didn't study but i left his class with a B. so it's really what you put into it. And do the articles they help alot. He's very flexible.

Most classes are lectures and every one has to do a group project, which is very easy. A midterm and final are the only test, which are easy as well if you study.

He was a great teacher. I just took his class for Summer A for one month. If you go to class and pay attention than this class is really easy. It's also very interesting.I have his class from 6-10pm and I never stopped paying attention. There were 4 grades. Mid-term, Group project, Final and weekly essay. Take him and learn.

If you want to learn about current events and how they affect our country, this is the right class. A little bit of history, a little more of connecting the dots around the world, and you are in the middle of the class. His instructions are easy to understand and very enjoyable. Do yourself a favor and take this class.

Every person should take this class! His lectures not only open your eyes to the reality of the world we live in but he also makes you think and asks for you critical opinion. I took this class 6-10, which is pretty long but the professor made it so interesting and complete that the four hours passes by very fast. extremely recommended.

Professor Barrock is the kind of professor who is more concerned with you absorbing what he teaches instead of just memorizing. He makes lectures interesting to the point of you learning without realizing it. He sets you up for success but you HAVE to meet him halfway. His humor is very dry, prepare for sarcasm. Professor Barrock really opens your eyes to what's actually going on in our world- and some of this stuff is downright shocking. There are weekly CNN papers but they're interesting, and one group project. Midterm and final are easy. Take this class!!!!

I learned a lot in this class. The professor was not only knowledgeable about what he was teaching, but he made going to class and learning fun. I enjoyed every class, but you do have to participate and do the required weekly papers. Writing the papers was not difficult.

LOVED the class! I am guilty for not holding conversations about politics or religion with anyone because I simply did not know nor really cared about it all. The prof definitely changed that for now not only can I hold a basic conversation but am interested in learning more. He knows how to break all these terminologies so we understand! FUN CLASS

Good professor. He has a lot of knowledge in this subject and you'll learn regardless if you're into the subject or not. I liked the home-works and the presentation although you have to really study because his tests are written but they really make you learn if you study.

Professor Septimus Barrock is a very knowledgeable and inspirational man. I highly recommend taking him than other professors who teach a similar course. You will learn about the world around you, how countries act towards another, and of course, a countries national interest.

Prof. Barrock was one of the best professors I've had at B.C.! Although the class was long, it was fun and I really feel like I learned something. One group project & weekly assignment of writing a 1-1/2 page summary/opinion of a news show (5 mandatory or more for extra credit). Only two tests (midterm/final), all reviewed in prior class.

Didnt make us buy the book. There was a weekly paper due on current events but don't stress over it, it just had to be a couple of paragraphs. And you could do more if you needed extra credit. We always reviewed tests the class before so we knew exactly what was going to be on them. He's super down to earth and a great teacher. Easy A.

Professor Barrock is the best! INR2002 was super easy. He cares for his students and wants the best for them! Pay attention in class. The tests are super easy and he makes them. You dont need the book! This is an easy A

He does reads through your work and mark grammatical errors. During the test he does take off points for the word not having an 's. But overall, Easy A, I loved my INR class. Very fun on a Saturday morning. 9 papers on Fereed Zakaria, 1 extra Credit, 1 group project, Mid terms and Final dont be scared..

Septimus Barrock is an amazing professor! the class consists of a weekly 1 page to 1-1/2 page paper on Fareed Zakaria or on an international related topic, 1 group assignment, and a midterm/final. He also gives extra credit. Being that the class was a 3 hour class the class was far from tedious as Professor Barrock was very engaged and funny.

No textbook 15 questions on midterm & final. 8 current event papers about 1 page long and 1 group project presentation. You can do more current event papers for extra credit and he doesnt have due dates for any of the papers as long as you turn them in by the last day. Hell do a review of what will be exactly on the midterm and final.

This is the best professor I took at BC he really makes you think, very inspirational, and has a mind of his own. he deserves 5 stars, the bad reviews are just from students who got what they deserved with their racism and they're crying about it. TAKE HIM YOU WON"T REGRET IT
