I want to start out by saying that professor Kruk is a great guy who obviously has a passion for the subject. That being said, I don't think that he is accustomed to teaching an undergrad class. He was very knowledgable in the source material, but could be very condescending towards students. He expected you to understand everything with little direction. He would make you struggle with a probelm for a while before eventually explaining it.

Worst teaching in the entire OU , talks very rudely to the students if we ask any doubts and not at all helpful throughout. He does not stick to his words , changes everything in the end. Completely partial towards few students. Class with him was a worst nightmare. All I can tell you is DONT GO WITH HIM.

His lectures were very consistent with the exams and homework. However, a lot of the time he made me feel insecure to ask questions and often made me feel stupid for asking questions. But he always wanted us to participate and ask/answer questions. But his exams were easy and if you do better on the final it replaces a lower exam score from before.

He is an exceptionally intelligent individual, but that seldom translates to a good professor. He goes by the slides; however, he gives you more information than what is in the slides. So, when you refer back to the slides, you are completely lost. If you are a talented coder, then you might not struggle as I did. If you are not, then good luck...

Spends a lot of time teaching what will not be on the exams, quick to anger, rants and berates students for asking questions or answering his questions incorrectly. Worst Prof. I have ever had, absolutely terrible. Buy and study the textbook and solve the textbook problems. Self study is key.

A good lecturer, reviews HW, tests match lectures/ HW. He even has a good attitude in terms of homework being a learning tool and graded based on effort. His key failing is the way he talks to students. When they ask questions that he thinks are dumb or use library calls, he is mean and rude, point blank. Wouldn't take him again unless I had to.

Learned a lot from professor Kruk. This class is not easy by any means but if you keep up with the lectures and study the slides you'll be fine. He is a fair grader. Wish he recorded the lectures tho it helps to rewatch them before the tests.

Dr. Kruk is one of the smartest professors that I had. He explains every hw/test after we complete it and he makes sure we completely understood everything. He sometimes, have hilarious conversations with us which make the class fun and not dry. I loved this class so much and I would recommend Dr. Kruk to anyone who wants to become great in algos.

this class is not meant to be easy, and prof Kruk does an amazing job articulating difficult concepts. He is very intelligent and if you participate in lectures and ask questions, you can learn a lot. This is not a class you can just breeze through, and to get an A you must really work for it. Pay attention and crack a few jokes during lectures :)

The homework is graded on effort which saved me big time. The tests are graded on correctness. He doesnt know how to teach effectively! Hes rude and throws attitude to students who ask questions when he practically begged for us to do. Self study and teaching yourself may be the better option when it comes to his teaching style.

Strict, but understanding. Strict in the sense that he's in computer science. because the field incentivizes a rigid attitude. But more mathematical based at that. If you wanted a person who loves efficiency, code cleanliness, and perfection, you found him. Helped me develop good coding algorithms and developed my problem solving.

This professor is the goat. Rarely I have seen a professor who not only knows what he's doing, but can tie the class to real-life projects and experiences he's had. When I was going to go into algorithms I thought this might just be another class I don't do well in even though I wished to. But he's the exact type of programmer I want to be.

This is the type of programmer I want to be. Someone who cares about their work and makes you feel confident about your future because of the way he conducts himself. A really chill professor who even though has hard material, is forgiving and has cumulative finals. Rarely have I seen a professor who can be so person and make you feel learned.

Amazing professor. He utilizes the Socratic method, not just talking at us for an hour and half but LEADING us to the answers so we end up taking the steps ourselves. As such, he is a rare gem among professors. Be led. He will try to engage with you. Engage with him. Answer his questions. Ask your own. Participate and you will thrive.

First, participate during the lectures. Dr. Kruk is engaged, happy to answer questions, etc. Use this to your advantage. Second, do the homework, and do it well. The grading scale is clear and does not demand perfection; do your best, understand the concepts, and you'll be in a strong position for everything else. Dr. Kruk is what OU needs more of.
