very nice, interesting, all around good teacher. one paper, four tests and very willing to help you out. mostly everything is on lectures very little from the book just go to class and listen to lectures take notes.

I highly recommend this class! I absolutely LOVE Banda! Besides the fact that hes drop dead gorgeous, he is very intelligent and interesting and has fun with the class.

I think tha the is a great professor! His class is easy too! As long as you go class you should be ok! He is such a cool professor and would really do anything to help his students! Plus he's kinda cute!

I took this online & it was so easy. 4 online exams, 4 discussions on interesting topics, 1 paper + xtra credit. He's helpful and will respond to emails within a day, he wants students to do well in class. He keeps in touch and reminds you of discussions and exams through emails and blackboard. Easy A! I got a 98% & only opened book during an exam.

He seems nice and cool. I thought his class was easy and I regret not trying as hard as I should've. His tests are easy and he curves it in the end. All you need to do is take good notes, study the study guide and that should do you good for the test and for the class. I SUGGEST TAKING HIM.

I took him for my first online course. He made things simple and clear. He was very open to meet with his students. Even though it was an online class, he still made two class meetings for the course, one at the begining and one at the end. I was nervous taking an online class but he sure was very helpful! I'd take him again!

This class was very easy to pass, but you pretty much have to teach yourself the material. I took this class online, so the tests are open book. He answers questions promptly and is a very understanding professor. Despite how easy the class was though, I learned a lot!

Good class for an online computer class. he's been helpful and posts real good audio lessons. he has met with class at least one extra time to help us, it would probably be better to take this class in person but so far it's been a good experience - recommend it.

Class easy at first, a lot more involved toward the end. Class is easy if you read his lessons and listen to his audio lessons. these lessons were great and easy to follow. Met with him to go over one of my grades and changed it on the spot. very personable.

Easy class overall. Lots of reading and a lot of wirting. Always upbeat when he responded to my emails and always gave feedback on writing assignments which no other teacher ever has in other web classes. I bet he would be interesting in a regular class.

Easy class for the most part. Final project was lots of work but his audio lessons were very clear and easy to follow. this class would probably be better in person but professor Banda is a very good teacher and was available to help anytime i needed help, very knowledgeable.

Omg, Seriously you guys have no clue how I feel about this class and him as a teacher. First of all, I took it as a THREE hour lecture on Wednesday nights.. was not excited about that part at all. But immediately as the class began, I became excited about the entire semester. If you have a chance to take him in this class i STRONGLY encourage it!

I had no idea what I wanted to major in and just took this class on a whim, love it. I am a sociology major because of this class. The information is excellent and he is a great professor.

He's a very nice guy. Attendance is not mandatory and as long as you read the text you'll do just fine. His test can be frustrating because there are a few questions based off a random side bar or graph in the book. It's not an easy A but an A isn't impossible. You have a research paper and 4 exams.

He is a good professor, very respectable, seems smart, and get to the point about what we are doing in class. I appreciate that he lectures from the text because I read and it goes with what he says. You need to read the chapters in order to do good on his exams bc everything is frm there!! Read Read Read :)

Really enjoyed the class if you want to pass just read the book completely through even the little stories about experiments all that are on the test the professor was funny laid back and best of all no homework or class work easy class for sociology 101

Simple class the proffesor is somewhat funny to get a solid B all you have to do is read the whole chapter even the little stories on the sides and the test will be easy. HE gives a research paper which is anything but that its really easy based of a couple concepts which he goes over and requires no research just your analysis on the concept.

Read the chapters, he posts the power point slides online, he's funny. Don't take his 3 hour friday class because friday class sucks but other than that it's helpful to hear him explain but reading is required.

Had his 3 hr Fri lecture, but always let us out pretty early.Funny, but gets off topic at times. Doesn't reply to emails too quickly. No assignments ever -just 1 research paper which is really easy. The tests are not hard, but keep up with the text since his tests come from there & some of his lecture. I would recommend - easy A/B if you study!

I thought it was a pretty easy class. His lectures are really interesting and the tests are based straight from the book. There is no homework or class work just one easy research paper. Highly recommend this class.

annoying AF. looks like george lopez but ew. class is not difficult, but if you miss turning in ur paper he doesnt let you turn it in for half credit (a-hol). tests arent hard, mult choice! rambles on in class about irrelavant stuff (so pointless to attend) lame subject overall-ha.

Professor Banda was a pretty good teacher. I had his Soc 101 MWF class and he really tried to make it interesting. Yes, he does talk a lot, but also ,Akers you think critically. Although I ended up getting a C in his class, he is an overall good teacher. READ THE BOOK AND STUDY THE POWER POINTS!

Interesting easy class. The grade is 4 exams and a 5 page paper. The final is not cumulative. You can easily get an A in this class without going to many classes IF you read EVERYTHING in the assigned chapters (including the little side notes) AND the powerpoints. Banda is pretty interesting and keeps class relevant and entertaining.

If it wasn't for him, this class would be the death of me because it would be very boring. But he gives interesting examples and they can make you think. All tests are multiple choice. He gives out study guides. Easy grader for the paper as long as you follow instructions. Connect exercises (homework) are easy and can boost your grade. Take him!

This clads was a challenge, but I must admit I learned a lot. He's a great teacher and very humorous, overall I really enjoyed his class. The intimidating part of this course are his test. They are very challenging and even discouraging. I was worried I wouldn't even get a B in this class, but I got an A. You have to read and study hard to pass.

Professor Banda is the utmost hilarious person I know. Upon this, he is very helpful and keeps it 100% real. The course is very interesting and the tests are a challenge. You must review powerpoints and the textbook to do well within this class.

Professor Banda was a good teacher. Fairly easy. 3 exams and 1 final, 60 questions. 1 essay that was 7 pages minimum. Don't really need the textbook. Exams are easy and followed the study guide. Studied the night before and got good grades on the exams. I suggest taking this professor.

Professor Banda is a great teacher. I've taken him for multiple semester and I never regret it. The only downfall to graduating is not being able to take Banda's courses again. I highly recommend taking Professor Banda!

Great class, only one project paper. The book is online, homework is easy, if you just read the chapter you will do great.

Class lectures were pretty much open forum on the chapter topics, he just gave extra information besides reiterating whats on the PPT. Read the book and do the online "homework". Make sure you totally understand the contents. The wording of the exams made them confusing and a bit ambiguous so just study & you'll be fine. Overall, good teacher!

Professor Banda is very approachable and interesting. We start out the class discusing current events and then we go through the powerpoint. We usually don't get through all of the PowerPoints so you will have to look at the book. Some of the things discussed in class will be on the test. The online module is also helpful before tests.

Sociology was a whole new subject to me so I was worried I wouldn't understand , but Prof. Banda's love and dedication made me love it so much. There's one paper, the homework assignments are online - very easy. And the tests are alright as long as you listen, take notes and do the homework.

I personally don't like online classes but this one was okay. A lot of reading, online assignments(textbook online, you don't need to buy the book) as well as the power points he gives you. TESTS ARE TOUGH; read everything, study to power points and you should be fine. Online discussions are weekly so don't forget those. Also, 1 paper.

I actually enjoyed this class! Overall Professor Banda was really approachable and funny. Class points based on Exams (final wasn't cumulative), 1 Paper, and simple online HW questions. Book was online so buy the code instead of the hardcopy. Tests were specific, but his powerpoints are clear so just study and you'll be good!

Took an online class but he was easy to schedule a meeting with. He didn't offer extra credit but when I asked because I was on the border he gave it to me. Online classes compared to in person generally has more homework so it was more than I wished but nothing too difficult to handle. Very down to Earth and nice to chat with.

Great professor, simple class. He loves what he does. His lectures are very interesting. Cares about his students and does everything he can to facilitate things for us. Honestly u can get away with not going to class and just doing the readings and getting the notes from someone but his class was one of my favorites so I would recommend going!

Prof. Banda is really chill, and he gets that people only take his class because its required. There isn't much work at all, just four tests, a short paper, and credit for doing the online reading/reading quizzes. His lectures are kind of slow and boring, but he includes stuff from in class on tests, so go to class. Overall, a nice, laid-back guy!

Professor Banda was a chill and laid back professor. His flow with every session was smooth and explains the material well. Reading the textbook is the homework but it is not too bad. 3 tests and the final is NOT cumulative. He makes you do one paper where it is a bit tricky only in the sense of making it long enough to his requirements. recommend

The book was online, along with the reading quizzes, super easy. 4 tests total (with the final just being the last 3 chapters of the book, none of them cumulative). Overall a great guy and interesting class, but there is one 5-7 pg essay on the 3 sociological perspectives which was kind of a drag, although it's a department requirement.

Professor is very knowledgable and you can tell he gets really excited to talk about certain topics. Loves and encourages participation and discussion. All his tests are ONLINE (if you get my flow). gotta write a 5-7 page essay on socio perspectives, which was tedious but he's a pretty reasonable grader. Final is not cumulative and also online.

This class was super easy but slightly disorganized, which got irritating. There are 8 DQs throughout the semester and 5 tests. There is also a homework component where you read the book and answer questions after each chapter. Like I said before, super simple.

I had prof banda for socio 101 hybrid and he is one of the most genuine and nicest professors I've had here at Fullerton. only hw you have is answering online text book questions which was really easy, gives you full credit if you try. Test were online and average. We had 1 written assignment

Attendance wasnt mandatory, the online reading was easy and full credit was given as long as you tried, exams were easy and we only had one writing assignment. His lectures were interesting and he was clearly passionate about his teaching. Amazing prof 10/10.

Prof. Banda is amazing I dont know why his rating isnt that high. He really cares for his students so if youre struggling really go get the help you need. However, you dont need to because his class is simple. Just stay on top of your work and youll be fine! Def would recommend him. Sweetest man youll meet.

SUPER EASY CLASS. TAKE IT! Assignments were pretty straightforward, online discussions, assignments and tests. He gave out words of encouragement during the pandemic. I would take an online class with him again.

I only got to be in his class for half a semester due to COVID-19 before we switched to online. He allowed us time to adjust and was very understanding. He offered an open ear whenever we needed it. Only ended up taking 2 exams and one final written paper (varied cause COVID). Chapter assignments through Connect for credit and helped for exams.

Half in-class, half online. He can be funny in class. The lectures are the same as the online reading assignments. You could get everything wrong on the chapter assessments, you'll still get 100%. Exams and writing assignments are the real determinants for grades.

This class is the most low maintenance class I have ever taken. He gives a couple weeks to complete connect assignments (you do have to buy the access code) and discussion posts which are very easy. 10/10 would recommend this online.

Professor Banda is so nice and caring toward his students. If you ever need help with anything he will help you. All you have to do is do the readings and quizzes/ tests. Easy A if you know how to write simple paragraphs! I would for sure take him again. He deserves a better rating!

The discussions are extremely easy. He also offers extra credit. I wish I could take him for other classes. He also is very understanding and cares about his students.

I loved the topic of the class as well as the professor! He tells interesting stories during lectures but i recommend to read the book to understand the concepts. Great teacher! Every day is a lecture. he lectures very well and makes the topic very easy to follow. HOWEVER, he never finished topics in class which left a lot of reading for hw. Took the exams online, lots of reading. Doesn't cover everything in the lectures but attending them makes the information stick. Two written assignments were easy. Banda is super welcoming, and I love his energy, he pushes you to think. Only downside is the annoyingly number of questions connect gives you.

Banda has tons of respect from his students and receives great feedback collectively. I know he sometimes go off-topic and be hilarious of his own doing or other topics outside of class. Nonetheless, he's one of the greats in CSUF so I recommend his class if you do so. Exams are online, but you better give reason to explain why so others do too.

He does talk a lot in lectures, but it usually relates to the material or helping us understand the topics better (giving examples or asking us how it can relate to the real world). There is reading assignments, but they usually are pretty spread out. Reading quiz is just a review, completing it gives you 100% no matter your score.

The class is easy with unit assignments that are graded based on completion and are helpful for understanding the textbook material. There are also slides provided summarizing each unit. The tests were fairly easy and required only light studying for me. There are discussions per unit that are graded easily as well.

hes a funny professor but u should definitely read the textbook in ur own time because he almost never lectures u on the chapter, instead he rambles on about stories from his life for pretty much the entire class. it takes days to cover one lecture and the homework was tedious. he let us take the final online which made it much easier.
