Took online, pretty easy, skim book and do practice quizzes. 4 test and 1 mid-term paper, open book tests. Nice teacher, helpful and will answer questions. No homework except posts to discussion board. Good class, Good teacher.

Mr. Banda is attractive, but he is also an excellent teacher. He teaches in more of a lecture style but he is very clear with all the concepts so it isnt overwhelming. He also tells you what to study for the tests but some material he doesnt cover in class so a little extra reading is required.

I don't know but he sort of reminds me of George Clooney. Anyhow... unfortunately, he doesn't cover all the material in class, so you definitely have to read. He's not a bad teacher, but I wish he would give study guides for each exam. I do like how he posts and updates the grade online regularly.

Took class with friend; doing tests together was a lot of help. Barely studied for tests (4) and got A's. A current issue report is required. Participation is required but very easy to do. Take this class for a quick and easy A.

you don't really have to read the textbook to get an A on the exams cuz you can have it right infront of you while taking them. make sure you work hard on the paper because it can really help or hurt ur grade.

He is a chill and funny teacher. His lectures are relatively straight forward. Also, he gives power point slides so the class is not difficult. As long as you go to class, take notes, READ HIS NOTES and the book. Then the multiple choice exams should not be difficult.

one group project which really helps your grade cause he grades easy. final was easy and questions were repetitive at times. ended up getting a B in the class. really fun class, interesting topics. the only bad thing is that his power point are long sentences, so theres alot of writing. just print them out on powerpoint like i did $ youll be fine.

you should consider him first for sociology before any other proff, he is owesome,he likes to teach untill you say yeah now i get it, it was hard at the beginning but he helped me in his spare time to make me understand the consept, so give him a try.

Very good teacher wouldnt consider him an easy A but an easy B majority of the class received B's but not as many A's. Tests are straight from the book so its easy you must read the text. One group project and presentation. All in all a good class i would recommend. Good Teacher

I took hybrid class. No campus meetings. I thought it was pretty easy, although I didn't get an A, I got a B. He's not hard class as long as you keep up and don't miss any test. Since its online your grade is on your participation. I would recomend if you're trying to get the class out of the way fast.

I took him for my very first online class. At first I was hesitant because its online. But, I must admit it was the best choice I've made. There are 4 discussion questions, 4 exams, and 4 short-essays. He's very organized & helpful. You log on whenever you want! meet all the deadlines! I got a B. Take him, you wont regret it!

GREAT TEACHER! He's very clear and really wants you to enjoy the class. Do the m/c quizzes on the text companion website he uses some of the same questions in exams. Notes are concise and he provides them. I had some interest in the class before taking it, but now I love it even more. I HIGHLY suggest this teacher and this course to anyone!

Ridiculously easy online class. If you read, you are pretty much guaranteed an A or B. Gives you plenty of time inbetween exams, and topics for SHORT written assignments are interesting. Responds quickly to emails. Highly recommended!!!

Cool teacher, not too hard just show up to class and take notes. There is 1 paper and its super easy. Sometimes lecture can get a little boring, all notes are on powerpoint and he posts them online. If you skim over the chapters and know your notes you should get a good grade. That's what I did and ended up with an A.Take him,he is really not bad:)

I took his online class too and had a good experience. The deadlines were talked about in his syllabus so I had no surprises. He always sent reminders and responded to messages. I recommend this class.

I can't imagine a better teacher. He keeps the class involved and intereted, he's COMPLETELY unbiased (which is particularly hard for some subjects), and is clear and concise in his notes. Take the online quizzes, study, and an A is not out of reach.

I took his online class and I would say it was not too difficult because it was well organized, I have taken many online classes and some are very confusing. Communication with him was good and his writing excercises were my favorite part of the class because they really make you think. The only bad things is that he offers no extra credit.

Mr. Banda is a wonderful professor. He is funny, charismatic, and extremely insightful. His class is only hard if you absolutely refuse to do the reading or to show up to class. Do one or the other and you'll probably do fine. If you want an A, do the reading, the tests are a breeze if you do it. Awesome teacher! Take if you get the chance!

Good teacher! No homework, but STUDY FOR THE EXAMS!! The exams are harder than you would think, but if you study you will do fine. 3 exams and a project and your done! Project is not that hard, but don't procrastinate! Also, he is funny and interesting to listen to so class is enjoyable.

I'm taking an online course with this professor. He seems nice, but the pace is grueling. We're expected to read 4 chapters of the text per week and have an exam almost weekly. Not complaining, it's just rough! I will complain that he scheduled an exam for the Sunday on Labor Day weekend. An exam in Sunday is bad enough, but on a holiday weekend? Not cool.

He is a really nice, helpful guy and you can tell he really enjoys teaching. I highly recommend SOC 101, and am looking forward to taking his other classes. Soc 101 is almost purely lecture, with about 4 exams and one paper. Overall it's not a lot of work if you take good notes and read.

Good teacher. His powerpoints are helpful, especially if you missed class. Read assigned chapters and you should have no problem passing the tests. One essay which isn't hard.

I took his 8 week online course. The classwork composed of 5 exams, 5 discussions and an essay. In our online class, he was prompt with his email responses. If you read your book, take time to write and respond to other discussions, you'll have no problem in this class, Prof. Banda is kind, fair , caring and will help you when you ask.

Brilliant professor with a great sense of humor who actually cares about the sake of his students. Always a pleasure to be in class. His tests are fairly simple when you take the time to study. You can pass the class with an A if your a serious student. (JUST AS ANY CLASS AT FJC) LOVED SOCIOLOGY!

He's super nice but his lectures aren't super on topic. Everything you need including most of the test questions are in the online assignments. One paper- 4 pages. Clear cut on what he wants. Not even really that necessary to show up- but if you do, be on time. Easy A if you take the practice quizzes (the online stuff) but so much common sense.

second online class with banda. he was great at responding emails quick. soc 292 was easy, down side is you HAVE TO read! 5 discussion boards, 5 exams, and 1 easy final paper. I did not read for my first exam and failed it, but then i read for the following exams and passed every exam with a B or higher. Banda will not allow any excuses.

Took his class online. Very easy. The homework assignments take an average of 30 minutes if you didn't read the textbook and 95% of the test questions can be googled.

Really like the class! He makes it interesting by giving real examples and he always makes us laugh. He gives 4 tests, 60 questions each and the final isn't culmulative. One 5-7 essay. The book we used was online and the only assignments were the practice questions for each chapter due day of test. If you study the powerpoints/book you're good!

Prof. Banda is by far one of the most charismatic professors I've ever had! He is very nice, open-minded, and really cares about his students success and input! His lectures are long, but very interesting. He gives 4-5 tests (approx. 60 questions) and one 5-7 page research paper. BEST ADVICE is to read the chapters and take the online hw seriously!

Took his Soc 102 Social Problems class simply out of interest-not for credit at all-and it's been the best decision I've made in my college career. Incredibly insightful, I learned so much about the world in just one short semester; really wish it would've been longer. Would love to take another class with him.

Overall fun class, very interesting. I am not a SOCI major, and I passed with an A. His tests are tough, but he always goes over the exam the next class and takes out a few questions that everyone missed or if we agree as a class that the question is not clear. Lectures are usually very entertaning with good discussion. I recommend this class.

Literally the easiest class I've ever taken. It was only a 8 week class. 5 Exams, 8 discussions and connect exercises, which you get credit for while . Uses connect (online book) & that really prepares you for exams. Highly recommend taking his class! Replies to emails like an hour later which is pretty good! Easy A as long as you don't slack off!!

Sergio Banda is a really funny and nice professor. The only homework he gives are connect questions, grade mainly affected by quizzes so study study study. His is class conversations are interesting and gives a lot of life advice

Mr Banda is so quick in response for your emails and very open on top of things and understanding one of the best teachers Ive had. he is in his office when posted and always there to awnser any questions you have. communication is great. couldn't ask for anything else if you get a chance to take him do it, because you will have a smooth semester

Easiest A in my life. All the answers for the tests are online on quizlets. For discussions, he doesn't even read he just makes sure you reach the minimum word count and other requirements.

Professor Bandas 8 week online Sociology course is a straightforward classy each week there are either discussion posts, readings or exams due on Sundays. 8 discussion posts and 5 exams. As long as you do the work you will get full credit. Read the book and take notes as you work through the chapter reviews to go over during your exams.

Took his Criminology class and really enjoyed it. He is very intelligent, sarcastic, and honest. He tends to ramble and go on tangents about unrelated things, but it's always interesting. Lots of entertaining discussions. He always mentioned how crucial the book was but I never got it and passed. Good experience!

Took his intro to soc online course. Straightforward class, simply do the textbook work, participate in discussions, and do the exams on time. He gives good feedback on discussions as well, and we also had a tutor that did 2x weekly extra credit zoom sessions (I should've attended those but I was never awake on time lol).

This professor was very inspirational, covered points of each topic given in class, did not do too much homework, did lots of reading, and was very lecture-heavy but used real-life examples for us to resonate with; he also gave great advice and encouraged us to ask questions when in need of help.
