Come on people,accounting really isn't that hard. His tests really aren't that hard.I barely studied for them and I got a B on all of them. He helps you out with so much easy extra credit there's no reason not to get an A in this class.He goes step by step through the I See the Light so it's cake.

The class is very easy if you have a clue about basic math and do the homework. The homework is done online and really encourages you to get it done completely and on time because it's fill-in-the-blanks. The teacher really only repeated the stuff I picked up on my own from the homeworks.

He's definitely the best Accounting professor I had at UM. The test aren't too difficult, but the majority of your grade is based on the different projects like the redbook project, I see the light, and the byte of accounting.

I used the book to teach me everything. Going to class isn't necessary if you are able to self-teach. I managed an A so it certainly is much easier than everyone is making it out to be.

Loved him! Great teacher and very knowledgable. Gives you a lot of outside knowledge about the business world and current events. Reviews before every test and basically tells you exactly what you need to know. Easy A! Gives optional quizzes online and that's where the test questions come from so you can be easily ready.

I would definitely recommend him. His class was more bearable than I expected an accounting course to be. The homework manager is annoying and got kinda hard towards the end. Doesnt take attendence but you should definatly go if you want to understand the material. 3 exams, 2 projects, and weekly online homework that take about 2 hours to complete. He's cool. He always responds to e-mails and messages. He's a friendly guy and a good teacher and he's pretty funny. Only thing I didn't like was his ban on laptops. Other than that, I'm pretty sure he's the best ACC 211 teacher.

Attendance is not mandatory but he goes over the online homework (that hasn't been turned in yet) every class so it's worth it. He doesn't teach much, he mostly just talks about the stock market but he's really nice and very knowledgable. If you have any questions, he's willing to answer them. Definitely take him!

Accounting is a difficult course, with each project being only 7%, but Levine makes it good. We do the homework in class and can even check it before its turned in and fix it for correct answers, so easy 6% there. Tests are hard and more concepts than journal entries. However, Levine is a great professor and I recommend him.

Professor Levine is a really nice guy who cares a lot about helping his students. The exams are difficult but he grades them on a curve. I took ACC211 with him and I'm happy that I took it with him. His lectures are amazing and you can learn a lot from his experience as an auditor. He goes over the homework questions in class and his two midterms were really similar to the homework problems. I would definitely recommend taking the class with him.

Levine is one of my favorite professors at UM. His lectures are very enjoyable for teaching accounting. During class he goes over the homework problems before they are due so you can ask questions. His tests a pretty straight forward, just go to class and study his power points. Definitely take him if you can for 211.

An overall good class for getting an introduction to accounting. Some of his tests were very hard not b/c the material was challenging, but b/c of the number of questions given and content covered in such a short testing period.

Seth Levine is a great professor, Accounting is not the most engaging subject for many so the material can be dense, but he does his best to make up for this by filling his lectures with humor and stories. If you enjoy sarcastic stories his lectures are very funny.

If you are an accounting major you MUST take Levine for 211. The class might be slightly harder than other professors but you will actually learn the material. Levine is a funny dude full of dad jokes and the exams are challenging, but not impossible. Class is curved as well.

Prof Levine is the best! He only lectures every few classes, which go by quick because he's hilarious, the others he takes to go over the homework to ensure students know how to do it and what's going on. He prepares you super well for the final telling you exactly what material to cover and is always available outside class.

Levine is hilarious in class and lectures are pretty entertaining as he weaves random jokes stories into each class. Attendance isnt mandatory. My one warning with his class is the work. Be prepared to do 5-7 hours with the actual hw and the stupid smartbook for each chapter (there are 12) Other profs dont require the smartbook so keep that in mind

Obviously online makes the experience a bit different but he goes above and beyond for his students and was the most passionate professor I had this semester. If you're bad at accounting then you won't like any ACC professor you have, so even then he is clearly the best one to choose from.

There's a lot of work for this class, no other way to put it. Easy to do well if you are dedicated. Professor Levine is great, but the workload is a little ridiculous for an intro to accounting course. That being said, you will definitely learn because of how much work you hav to put it.

Single best professor I've ever had and makes accounting fun to learn. While the HWs are time-consuming you eventually get into a groove and he spends many of his lectures going through it in class. He also tells you what type of questions are going to be on the test. If you CAN take him, don't hesitate because he will be booked up.

Only criticism is that the final is multiple choice when the previous exams were mainly fill in and had maybe one or two multiple-choice questions. Not having the practice for the multiple-choice questions led me to get a significantly lower grade on my final than onthe other exams

Had Prof Levine for several classes as part of UofM's online Master's Accounting. Wonderful guy, great professor. The online program was in its infancy when I was there, with quite a few tech issues and inattentive prof's. Thankfully, Levine oversaw the program and was always there to assist, even for courses he didn't teach. Highly recommended!

I took this class as it was a requirement of the business school, with no previous knowledge of accounting. Still, Professor Levine made the classes interesting each day. There were three homework assignments per chapter, and we usually covered a chapter in a week. He does however go over the homework in class usually the day before it is due.

Doc. Levine was the absolute best. I do not have enough good things to say about him. He is kind and understanding, the class is well-taught, he is very well-informed about his profession, and he is easily the best professor at UM. I loved this class more than anything I have ever taken and would take him a million times over.

Attendance is required but I never went and got above a 95 on every exam because tests are MCQ Questions. Overall grade is based on 3 tests, all hw & 2 projects. Best professor I've had at UM. Very nice man and loves it when you answer or ask questions during class. Gives you practice exams which is exactly like the exam (different numbers). Tests are super easy cuz he gives you a practice test before that is the same as the real one. Going to class is kinda pointless because he doesn't teach stuff on the homework. Lectures were great at the start but started to go off topic and unrelated to chapters covered about halfway through the course, and had to teach yourself.

Professor Levine is an awesome accounting professor, but the course itself is content heavy. His final is 100 MCQ and cumulative which does suck and there is lots of homework per unit (13 units total). Would recommend taking him just be aware of a lot of content (the projects are also really easy)

Professor Levine is an engaging instructor. The course has a heavy workload, but the exams mirror the practice tests. Leveraging unstuckstudy alongside the textbook and lectures helps manage the content.

Super nice professor. Attendance is mandatory but he is really chill with excused absences. He asks you take notes by hand but it isn't the end of the world. Homework reflects on the exams and he gives practise exams that you can take multiple times which are almost identical to the actual tests.

One of the best Professors I had met in my life. This guy genuinely cares about his students well being, and is very kind, genuine, and understanding. He is very lenient with late assignments, and his exams are just like the practice exams. He cracks jokes in class and is very funny too. There is a reason why his rating is so high on this website.

Funny and caring guy, is always willing to help. A decent amount of homework each week that he goes through each week and is very easy to get done. Genuinely if you do bad on the exams its on you. he gives you a practice exam that if you do at least 3 times you will be fine. Group project and cyber text project which are both doable.

Professor Levine is an amazing professor! He does his best to keep the lectures engaging and enjoyable, considering the course material is not the most interesting to most students. There is quite a bit of homework, but it is extremely helpful in preparing you for tests. He is very chill, so he is a very easy professor to talk to.

The best Prof in business school must take for accounting. Howework every week a few exams and a group assignment. Overall easy if you take practice exams a few times and do the howework and he is great during lectures mixing his own experience with the topics. Can not recommend him enough.

Such a straightforward, easy-going professor, and there are no surprises in this class. As long as you do the homework and practice exams before each of the midterms and final, you're good. Practice exams are identical to the real exams. You will genuinely learn a lot in this class and not even realize it until the end. 10/10 professor.

Super sweet guy, there's not a lot of homework, and it's graded by completion. There were 3 exams, and if I am being completely honest, I never paid attention and would lock in the night before. He is a super-easy grader as well. At first, attendance was not mandatory, but he started doing it after spring break. He did 3 in-class quizzes.

Professor Levine is super engaging and keeps content current. He had study guides that were almost identical to the exams. I don't know how well I learned accounting but easy to follow and do well on exams. He also hosted multiple reviews for the final which were VERY helpful and he is super accessible outside of class.

super easy class. Engaging lectures for material that is really boring. If you are in accounting talk to him, he knows every accountant and accounting firm in the Miami area. For studying, just do the practice exams 2-3 times before the test. They're the exact same as the practice exams.

insane amount of hw every single week but ngl i did NOT pay attention and skipped many lectures and i'm still gonna get an A bc the exams are the EXACT same as the practice exam. i saw many students being sus while taking exams but i promise u will get a better grade if u just memorize the prac exams and do them multiple times. i get 97> every exam

Professor Levine is great, but there is an annoying amount of homework every week. However, the exams are super easy. Just take the practice exam ~5 times and you'll get an A.

1 homework assignment each week (about 16 questions) / 1 individual very simple project online / 1 group project (5 page paper) / 3 regular exams and 1 cumulative final exam /gives practice exams online before each exam: unlimited attempts - practice exam has the exact same questions and in the same order as real exam just the numbers are different

Not sure what that last student is talking about. The professor clearly stated that the final exam was cumulative. He constantly reminded us to rework our HW assignments from the last 3 chapters. Attendance and HW count, so be sure to show up. Opened up a Robin Hood account at his urging. If you put in the effort and pay attention, you'll be fine.

PROFESSOR LEVINE IS THE ABSOLUTE LEGEND AND THE GOAT! Shares very interesting business stories and clearly outlines what success in class looks like, you also learn a lot from his professional expertise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
