Dr. Chamras is the type of professor I have always wanted for my chemestry professor!! He is great! He has his own note and explains it easily with a little bit of joke time to time during lecture. You got to have him as your chemestry Professor!

he explains everythiing really good and whatever he talked about and put on his notes will be on his test eccept he makes em alittle tricky. he's every stickt in gerneral especially in the lab and also he's evey smart in catching cheeters. he doesn't drop any test nor does he curve. but if he sees you improving all of a sudenn he's help your out.

I loved this class. Honestly, it is the only class that I actually wanted to get up early for. Dr. Chamras is very knowledgeable in the field of chemistry, and his tests are really not that bad as long as you pay attention and review the in- class notes.

Dr. Chamras is a unique professor. He is very unpredictable sometimes, but when it comes to the tests, he is always fair. I enjoyed going to his class because he is not one of those teachers that copy off the book, rather he's notes are from his brain and he knows what he is talking about. He is strict on lab safety, but considering you're dealing with toxic materials, carcinogens, and other nasty stuff, that's EXACTLY what you should want/demand in a teacher. Dr. C is one of the better Chem teachers in GCC. He is pretty fair and his exams are solely based on his lecture notes (he doesn't touch anything in the book, not even close). My best advice is to be prepared as a crucial part of his exams are fill in the blank questions. Those questions are the make or break on the exams!

Good teacher for a tough subject. His tests are thorough (sp?). He teaches with humor but on certain subjects of chemistry has trouble clarifying (very few). A strict teacher who tolerates no nonsense such as talking in class. His final is a 70 question doozy.

I love love love love love this class! I did better in this class than in 110. If you think you don't enjoy chemistry, wait till you take this professor. He is straightforward, and is not out to get you or trick you. He's genuine and tries to help you the best way possible. Don't listen to the wealkings, Take him.

This Prof. was GREAT! There is no adequate way of describing this man. When he teaches, his accent keeps you more interested than the material itself. He works in jokes to keep the class alive. He covers the material with excellent percision. And, he makes sure you know what you are talking about when it comes to YOUR exucation... THUMBS UP HIM!

His class is really hard & challenging.. and taking it on a short session made it even tougher. Although materials were hard, he digests it for his students. He is very helpful & simplifies the most complex theory (with a good correlation to real life scenario.) If you want a strong chem foundation, take him.

Had him for lab during summer. He's a good prof in a sense that he makes sure that his students understand the topic. It's not an easy class. Wont recommend to take him during summer unless you're repeating the class. Also make sure you're not late otherwise u might get a 0 for the lab.

This guy knows both Chemistry and teaching methods. Very strict about his job which is 100% good. He always helps you if you ask him to explain a chem problem. He cares about his students. One of the best professors at GCC. He teaches you everything you need to know in his lectures. He is always willing to help his students with any questions they have. Being on time to his classes is really important. Just listen to his lectures, read/look over the text book, and do the practice problems without memorizing them and you'll do great.

Professor Chamras is the only professor in GCC I am really going to remember. I took chem 110, 105 and 106 with him. He was also my lab professor for chem 101 and 102. All my life I hated chemistry. He made me love that subject so much that I am taking my bachelors degree in chemistry. Never miss his lectures, pay attention and read the book.

Great teacher. Organized, clear, funny, interested in subject, social, and always puts aside time to answer questions. Course itself is somewhat difficult, his tests are not easy either, but he cuts you some slack here and there. Take him you won't regret it! And if you do, blame the course, not him.

I had him during winter session and just fell in love with his class. He has his notes online so you can print them out and fill in the blanks while he lectures. I rarely used my textbook. His tests are very similar to the practice exams he gives out and easy if you have studied the notes. Passed with A+ and planning to take him for ochem as well.

Dr. Chamras is the best, unfortunately I only have him for lab and not lecture. My advice is take Chamras for lecture because when it comes to chem you need to know your stuff and Chamras is VERYYYYYYYY good at explaining, teaching, and going over materials. Took Ochem with Chamras. Yes he is amazing with his sense of humor and passion for the subject, he wants you to do well. Sadly, his lectures are super fast so you got to be able to keep up. He's very funny and you never et bored in his class. he teaches everything and lecture notes are available on his site.. print it and learn it. His tests are not really easy but doable .Take him and you will love chemistry.

Dr. Chamras is fantastic. I highly recommend him, especially for introductory chemistry. His exams are challenging although not impossible. He prepares you very well for an additional year of general chemistry and organic chemistry in the future. Just trust him-after taking advanced chemistry classes I can say there is a method to his madness.

Dr. Chamras is 1 of the best professors at GCC. He loves what he does and his lectures are super fun and educational. Ochem is tough so you will study a lot outside of class but he breaks down the material pretty well. Only thing: HIS EXAMS AND HIS FINAL. ARE REALLY HARD. And he didn't drop a test this semester so everyone's grades were screwed up.

Better have his old tests to survive. He doesn't change or else u will end up failingdropping. Take the class seriously. Ochem is not a joke.

I am very thankful to have taken him. He explains concepts very well, and provides note packets that have all the information needed to pass the class. Exams are tough, but you practice for them. If Chamras is teaching the Chem course you need, then take him. This is especially true for Chem 110, because he is great with foundation setting. The organic chemistry courses are extremely deep, detailed and thorough; this means it is way harder to pass. Memorize. Recall. Solve. Work like a dog.

Exams are somewhat tough, but if you do the homework problems and the practice test, you should be fine. He's a nice guy in the lecture but might be rude when you talk to him one-on-one. Overall, the class is easy if you study for it.

I took his class over this past winter session. Prof. Chamras is really good at introducing chemistry to beginners. I always had a bad experience with chemistry and was anxious about taking this class but professor Chamras is a great professor and explains everything really well. If you pay attention in class and get help when you don't get understand something you should easily pass. He is also funny which makes the lectures more interesting.

If you pay attention to lectures and fill out his notes, its an easy A. I would study the night before the exams and do optional practice homework problems and I got an A on every one of his tests (are a little tricky). He's hilarious but a little sassy. Overall, he's approachable and encourages questions at all times. My favorite class by far!

I love Dr Chamras and I think he has great personality, always so full of energy and always working while being cheerful and approachable. I spent a lot of time in his office during office hours, super helpful. The reason I like him the most though is his simplicity. The guy is a department chair but never looks at anyone from a high horse.

Took this class over summer. DON'T take this course over summer if your math skills aren't sharp! Very fast paced. The minute you don't understand how to solve a problem, things will only get worse with the following chapters. Dr. Chamras's lectures are energetic and passionate. I took the class over the summer and I found it to be challenging. It isn't impossible and you can get a solid B if you put in the bare minimum. If you try and do the suggested homework problems and study for multiple nights you can easily get an A Listen to his lectures and study off his notes and you'll be fine.

Hes probably the best Professor at GCC, he is extremely clear with his lectures, and a very lenient grader. Everything he covers in class is on the test, and all you need to do is pay attention in class and study. Amazing professor, and very hilarious.

Take him if you need more chem classes. Chem 101 is gonna be way easier if you take him because he really goes deep on the material. His labs are perfect. He explains everything in detail. He's funny and you will love chemistry. 100% recomended. I took him in winter and he gave us only one question of extra credit in the whole semester.

I had him for all of organic chemistry. He is a very humorous and engaging professor. His teaching method is effective, however the class difficulty is increased with the online format. You have to be extra careful on exams and lab quizzes. Consider this when deciding to take him, but he would be the professor I would chose for O-Chem

He is one of the best professors, an intelligent guy that has awesome personality as a human and as an instructor. He cares about students and always try to do his best in teaching and explaining material by doing lots of questions. If you want to learn something that is really hard, you are the only one that should try more not blame instructor.

Professor Chamras is extremely intelligent and he is one of the best professors Ive had. The class is HARD Bc its ochem. He doesnt really give practice problems which makes it more difficult but he lectures so so well and he is so kind and caring. He assigns hw problems so do them and do his practice problems! He makes time for his students!

I love professor chamras, he has an amazing personality and he's there to help you. Organic chemistry is a tough class, so you need to be there and actually put in effort. The only part I hated was that lectures were pre-recorded and wish it was with live meetings or in person. Gives partial credit on tests. Take him!!

Mr.Chamras is a great teacher however don't it detour you from how difficult his class can get. He actually cares about his students and tries his best to make the class fun as well as the labs. I however fumbled really bad but it wasn't because of the teacher I had bad habits. I recommend taking his course. Try not to miss tho too much though.

I'm so glad i took chamras for intro to chem. I took chem in high school but wanted a refresh and i do not regret taking his class. he was hilarious and explained things so well. his notes are incredible and i still refer back to them in my other chem classes. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!!

He was a very good teacher! He explains everything in much detail but still makes the class fun. He can be a little intimidating at times, but he is pretty funny. He does care if you're late. He has a notes packet that helps a lot when studying. I took the class during spring, and towards the end the tests were very close together.

REREAD THE CLASS NOTES BEFORE TESTS. this is the most important thing you should do to get an A. every test is based on the lecture notes, and also study the previous tests. Amazing Prof.

Professor Chamras was a great professor and broke down complex topics for us to understand. His tests are worth a lot, but he provides lecture notes which are similar to the exam. He was way better than my highschool chemistry teacher.

I took his Chem 110 class, and it was the first time I actually understood chemistry. He is very good at explaining and helps with memorization. He is very funny, but sometimes he can get really passive-aggressive. Very anti-right and makes a lot of jokes mocking God, which I did not like at all. Otherwise, he's a great teacher, and I recommend.
