Yes, he talks fast! You need to have a high school biology backgroud, otherwise you are doomed! Everything will be dutch otherwise. His tests are OK, if you study u should do well. If you listen attentively, you should be fine. -- -veritas

This is a grat teacher. He might talk fast but and have a hard accent but after a while you can understand everything he says.He is a very smart guy too.His test are not hard and give a lot estra point.But you really have to study..bio is not a easy class

He's a great teacher if you want to learn. He may have a heavy accent but if you sit close,you'll understand. The thing is,you want an A,you're gonna have to understand the concept. Everything that he lecture about will be on the exam. Fair Grading.

Its true that it is sometimes difficult to understand what he is saying, but overall he is a good teacher, he is very helpful, and his tests are multiple choice.(I don't think it gets any easier than that).

You will learn a lot from prof. hosseini, he is a DNA researcher at EMORY as well, and very smart. be prepared to print out and study his NOTES more than the book. If u are in this class u should be interested in bio, and willing to work and learn. He doesnt just hand out A's. Somewhat flexible.

Class can be boring. Class consists of him reading to you from typed notes projected on the overhead projector. Typed notes(outline form)are brief, and don't go into detail. To understand body's form and function read the book. I'm a slow reader, and I take notes about what I'm reading. I averaged about 3+ hours a day study time, but I got a A.

Great teacher! His accent is thick, but understandable. No surprises on his tests. If you study his notes you will be fine. I could have gotten a better grade had a taken more time to study. His lab and lecture go hand in hand. If you have a desire to learn and can follow good notes you will be fine.

He's pretty laid back. He doesn't require you to come to class. He's very helpful. Only 3 tests a few quizzes and a final.

He is very laid back and very helpful. He understands his student and his teaching is excellent. He makes sure that you understand you the materials. He works with his student either individually or in a group. I would encourage to take him.

He's a brilliant man, very thourough. Tests are multiple choice. Study his notes. Attendance for lecture is not required only for lab. You will get use to his accent. Very nice professor and willing to help student. You will learn a lot in his class. Nursing students...study hard!! You WILL use it.

Wow, a teacher who actually teaches! His tests arent easy if you study his previous quizes, only have to do 2 reports the whole semester, disect cats about 3 times but you have a quiz every class period (only worth 10% of your grade and they are easy) you will leave the class feeling like you've learned something. He is very nice too!

Excellent professor. Grades fair and is very knowledgeable and intelligent. He does have an accent, but if you pay attention you can follow with no problems. He does not require you to come to class but I reccomend that you do b/c he stresses important points during his lecture. Take his lab and lecture if you can.

Great class. Very helpful. Move very fast so be prepare to keep up with the reading. Exams are straighforward but not easy. Most people in class think he likes to strick people. 70% of final questions come from Exams that you already taken...Highly recommended

He is a good teacher. His lab was a little unorganized. The saturday class is even harder little time to study. Lecture was okay read before class and study handouts.

Hosseini is a good biology teacher. He uses a lot of power point from the book but elaborates with his own explanation and anecdotes. The tests are around 40-50 questions so they're thorough. You won't lose a letter grade for not knowing one or two things. He goes by the book and has actually read it. That sounds silly but some teachers here don't.

Dr. Hosseini is a good teacher, but can be difficult to understand. Read and study hard and you should be able to pass his class.

I liked him. I made an A in his class, but I had to do a lot of reading. this is not an easy course, so don't expect to get an A if you don't put some effort in it. He is nice, his tests are very easy, as long as you study. :)))

I took hime for lab and he was cool. We stayed in lab for the whole time because he does a mini lecture prior to the lab, but it was fine. He gave a quiz prior to each lab which was over the mini lecture. He is very laid back and helpful. Come to lab and do the work and you'll get an A.

Pretty good teacher. More so of a power point reader, and he moves pretty fast, but I actually learned the material. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK OR YOU WILL NOT DO WELL! I read every chapter, and took notes on each chapter, and his tests came pretty easy. I don't like that he keeps the test, and wont let you take them home. But he is good. Class Act.

If you want to learn Bio, then take him! This is a hard class. U should not be expecting to get an A without reading a book. U must read the book if you want to do good. His tests are not easy. Just study study and study! and u will be fine. I learned a lot from this class. 3 exams,hw, 1 project, and a final. u cant drop ur lowest grade. good luck!

Dr. H is a great teacher, he will let you know what is going to be on the test. If you take this class make sure you have atleats an hour everyday to go ever book and powerpoint. I personaly didnt do well as it was summer and I was short of time. I do recommand him and I do want to take him agian. if you study you be okay. He is funny too.recomand!

Took the summer session, class moves quickly....but he did a great job. Pay attention to the ?s on the powerpoints, they turn up on all of his quizzes and tests. I didn't do very well, but completely my fault. No reason to not pull an A in his class. Also had him for lab, goes over lab before class starts....easy breezy.

You will get an A if you read the text. He gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. Lots of work required for this class. It is essentially that you do not slack off. I had him for the lab as well. Make sure you read ahead of every lab. You will be quizzed on the lab and the lectures.

I took him for lab. His accent is distracting to me. He is very disorganized and takes way too long to tell your grade. A lot of waste of time during lab and not much time working on what we should be working on. I had to go to open lab several times to look at the models and do the drawings because there is no time during class. He is helpful.

PROFESSOR H IS A GOOD TEACHER, BUT HE TALKS REALLY REALLY FAST AND DOESN'T TAKE A BREATH! YOU SHOULD READ THE INFORMATION PRIOR TO COMING TO CLASS OR YOU WILL BE LOST WILL HE GOES ON AND ON IN CLASS! If you are going into a field where biology is important (like medicine) Prof. Hosseini is a good choice. While he is less than ideal as an in-person instructor, he assigns much out-of-class work that forces you to thoroughly learn the material. Also, I found him to be quite passionate, which is nice. Note: He is NOT an easy-A professor.

This professor is very fair. He does speak fast and goes through a lot of material in a short time. However, he emphasizes what will be on the tests and also gives a lot of extra credit opportunity to improve your test scores. He is responsive to emails and works with students if they are respectful and ask for reasonable accomodations.

I loved him! He is very engaging and passionate. He seems to care about and pay attention to his students' grades. He kept my interest and I learned a lot. A+

He is the best professor I have ever had. First I was worried to take his class because of bad comment, but I was so right to take his class. I took both his lecture and lab. He gave a lot of extra credit in lecture class. His lab wasn't challenge. You will be ok if you read before you go to lab. I got A in both his classes.

I agree with the comments about waiting for grades and talking fast. However he is not the worst professor. Test are mostly multiple choice and still gives extra 10 points for each test if you complete a 10 question quiz online. If you can get over the talking fast and his native tongue, its okay to take him. He was awesome for lab.

I took A&P online, and was expecting more tutelage, but he responded quickly to messages. You have to give him feedback and he will work with you. Our first test was 50 questions and 50 minutes long. He adjusted it to 75min for the remaining of the semester. Online isn't a breeze, especially A&P, you have to work harder than a face-to-face lecture.

Dr. Hosseini is the nicest professor, he is always willing to help out. He gives so much extra credit and wants you to do well. His accent is not distracting at all and people on this thread clearly didn't do well in his class if they're giving him a bad rating. He really cares about his students and knows the material.

I took him for biology during the summer. Dr. Hosseini was so nice and caring! He always was willing to help us and made sure we could come to him with any questions. He gave us so many extra credit opportunities, it would be your fault to do bad. I also took him for lab, lots of work but most people made A's! recommend highly

I LOVED Dr. H! I took him for A&P 2 Lecture. The tests are all online and he drops the lowest grade. He also allows you to use notes on your online tests. The final is in person and wasn't too bad - covers a lot of material but the main ideas from each chapter. He gives a TON of extra credit and is always quick to respond to emails. Take him!!!

Very good prof., yes it is a decent amount of studying but its anatomy and he gives alot of extra credit and chances to boost grades so even if you do bad on a test, it wont really hurt you. Very caring, very funny, and overall good teacher.

This site wont let me select his class, I took his summer BIOL2120 Lab. He is amazing! If you show up to class you will pass. Just be mindful of Icollege AND Mastering A&P quizzes, he will go over exams the class before and only difficult thing is lab report, but defiantly doable.

Great Teacher! Gives lots of extra credit and is very understanding of situations that may pop up. You still need to do your part and study and learn the material and you'll do well.

Homework is on modified mastering (kinda like a mymathlab). Easy stuff. His power points are literally just from the book. If you read, you will have no issues in this class. The course load is HEAVY but it is not hard. Make sure you set aside a lot of time for reading. 4 tests and drops the lowest. Many extra credit opportunities. Do the work!

As long as you read the textbook, you will be all set. The powerpoints are basically the textbook in slide form. You really have to teach yourself the material but the material is not hard. There are many youtube videos that help out if you need help. Definitely a solid choice if you are a responsible student. The final was easier than the ch tests

If you read the text, you'll do great on the quizzes and tests. He also gives bonus quizzes to boost your test grade. Lots of tutorials to understand material and quick to respond to emails. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hosseini.

AMAZING PROFESSOR! Taken him for many classes and I cant recommend him enough. His expectations are very clear. Always willing to help and work things out with you. By far my favorite science professor!!!

I took this class online, I will say that he gives you ample opportunities to pass his class with the homework and quizzes on mastering, which BOTH include extra credit points. He gives you the time you need to complete these assignments & also offers the chance to reopen 2 missed assignments near the end of the semester. Good class, stay focused.

Pay a little bit of attention and you will be good! This is the 2nd time I've taken him and I got an B in Microbiology and an A in Intro to biology. Stay on top of your work and grades and you'll be good.

Its hard to understand him, but dont underestimate his class. Hes one of the best Prof. At GSU. Its very easy. He give two options a or b. I chose b which only required me to take test and quizzes no homework. Best route to go. EASY EASY EASY dont stress what you dont know.
