I loved Mr. Shahabuddin. His lectures were always interesting, and the projects were really easy to do. He gives A LOT of extra credit, and you can only fail if you don't do ANY work or never show up.

Super fun class! Interesting topic, and he keeps the daily lectures super interesting. Three projects, two of them group. Feedback from your group members can effect your grade, up to 20%. Everything is submitted online. I didn't really use the textbook, and we never once used it in class. Its a shame he doesn't teach more classes!

Shaan makes psychology very easy to understand and tries to make the class fun. There are 3 projects including a group project but they are all easy, as well as the exams which are straightforward if you review the study guide he provides. Overall, not very many assignments and he grades on completion so this class is an easy A

I loved having Mr. S as an instructor! He was so considerate of his students and also easy to talk too if you needed help. He offers a lot of extra credit, and if you just stick to his powerpoint slides you will be GOLDEN. He has a book on his Syllabus but I never needed it. Some might say he has no idea what he teaches, but I believe he does!

Shaan is the best professor I've ever met. He always provides rubric in grading when giving the assignment. All of the in-class activities help the student to have a better understanding about the content and not boring at all :) You'll definitely learn a lot from this class with joy

This class was very helpful in approving my GPA. Mr. S gives lots of detailed feedback. He always says better too get an F and try than not try at all. He gives feedback on how to get 100. You can only get 100 for trying. And 0 for no effort and not trying. It's either 100 or 0. And makes sure you show up attendance is 20% of your grade.

One of my favorite professors and I'm not just saying that! Although the class was hybrid, he made every lecture fun and interesting. He was so caring and never made you feel stupid if you didn't understand something; he made things easy to understand and always showed he cared about us. He's a high recommendation on my list of professors to take!

What I love about Mr. Shahabuddin is his enthusiasm! You can tell he genuinely cares about his students, and, while it's apparent that he's a newer and younger teacher, he makes it work to his advantage by making learning fun. His grading was confusing at first, but I'm pretty sure it was more work for him to make than for us to figure out!

Had an awesome quarter learning Lifespan Psychology. Class is mostly based off having group discussions on the Canvas forum and on Zoom class meetings twice a week. He was very understanding and positive during a time where everything was uncertain with the pandemic going on. I learned a lot. He really opened up good discussions about life.

Professor Shaan gives you clear guidelines for how to be successful in his class. I took his class during Covid-19; we all had to transition to using an online platform for a relatively interactive class. This transition was made simple by his organization and teaching style. Attendance was not required but participation was. Highly recommend!

Professor S's class was enjoyable, he had a lot of energy, and I was rarely bored learning the content. His use of study guides really helped me retain the knowledge (Do your study guides!), and I felt prepared for the final exam. I would take a class with him as the professor again.

I enjoyed taking this psychology class with Shaan because he encourages organic group conversations and takes the time to talk about questions that students have. Shaan posted the Zoom recordings on Canvas so I was able to go back and watch at my convenience. Get ready to read tho!

Very clear format to get a good grade, and Mr. S was really helpful and accommodating during everything Spring 2020 threw at us. Consistent structure for the whole class so you knew exactly when things were do. Excellent at getting students to participate and share perspectives, really encourages discussion. Great for online and in person class!

He is amazing professor. he gives great feed back and responses to emails within the same hour. if he sees a mistake in your assignment, he will email you to make you understand.

Mr. Shaan was very flexible with us. He did make sure all assignments was out. We had a lot of work but it was worth it. He made sure we did our work too. Such an easy class, yet you learn sososo much! You WILL get an A if you do his weekly study guides--they contain all the information on the weekly quizzes. He is also such a great professor and really cares about his students--he checks in on you, which is great. Attendance is not mandatory, all lectures are recorded. They arent necessary to watch.

Shaan's passion for psychology comes through in his class. He really cares about his students learning and doing well not just in class, but life. His online class was organized and as long as you complete the work on time you will get full marks. Quizzes and tests were multiple choice and very easy. I would recommend Shaan without hesitation.

Literally the best professor ever. He will say that you need to read the textbook, but it is honestly not needed to do the study guide: you can just look things up in the book while doing them. I love him so much; I wish he taught every class that I need to take. If you breathe, you get an A. Definitely recommend if English isn't ur first language.

Class is fairly easy as long as you participate in the online group discussions. There will also be quiz study guides for quizzes that will be graded and needs to be turned in before the quiz. Both are easy to obtain A-grade for if you pay attention. Easy-paced class with easy to moderate assignments.

Mr. S is by far the best teacher I've ever had. I've taken this class as well as his PSYC100 class, and both taught me a lot while still feeling very doable and easy! He manages to teach so much content while keeping the coursework simple. Mr. S is inspirational and a wonderful teacher. He even planned a little doughnut party with us!

facilitates a really good learning environment- take the classes in person if you can! really fun and dynamic learning environment. he makes it really easy to do well in class. each assignment is worth 100 points and you can turn them in late for 10 points deducted per day which makes it really easy to still do well in class even if you are busy.

You have to read a textbook chapter each week, but the PROVIDED GUIDE (literally just have to answer fill-in-the-blanks) makes it super easy to only read what you need. Average late work policy. you get weekly study guides that are due on Monday a quiz on the study guide due on Tuesday and a discussion due on Friday. discussions you dont have to reply to other people which Is good. if u miss a question on a study guide he docks 10% if you turn in an assignment late its 10% off your original grade

He actually cares for his students and will take the time out of his day to message you if there were any concerning things like your grade dropping out of nowhere. Very fun class! It is easy in the sense that the material itself is not difficult, but there are regular assignments that you need to complete to pass. Honestly, reading the textbook wasn't necessary as long as you scanned it for the relevant information.

Professor Shahabuddin offers the clearest class expectations. I always knew what was due when, how to get the grade I desired, and where to find the information needed. Take this class! I enjoyed learning the material, I never felt overwhelmed, and knew Mr. S just wanted us to learn.

The class has an apparent schedule, and every student should be able to keep up with the class assignments. He's accessible online and will send you an email if you do not receive a good grade on an assignment. The in-person classes are interesting and his class is a very open environment, open to all sorts of ideas.

I've taken both Psych 101 and Psych 245 from Professor Shahabuddin. Professor S. does his best to cultivate an open and engaging learning environment--he's knowledgeable, genuine, and brings joy and laughter to the classroom. Homework assignments are weekly and time-consuming, but you'll be fine if you get them in on time.

Had Prof. Shahabuddin for the summer quarter. Incredibly easy and very forgiving. His modules made the workload seem a lot easier than it is. While he is gracious, he did have to send out an announcement voicing his disappointment in some peers who were not turning in work at all. I could tell he wanted his students to succeed and not fall behind.

Go to the lectures, they are fun and interactive, although you can still stay invisible if you prefer to. They also count towards the final grade, but you only need to come to every second one to get full credit for attendance. Summary: Easy and fun intro to psychology, you'll like it.

He shows a powerpoint to show all that we are rewiev for the class and call attendance to make sure everyone it's there and even if someone missing a class he has a video lecture of that day so everyone could keep on track. Very good professor and great psychology class overall. I took his online asynchronous class, so I can't speak on how he would be in person, but all the assignments and readings in Canvas is organized into "modules." This made it very easy to navigate, and having it in this format meant that I could start on work that was due weeks later.

I liked the psych 100 class that I took! If you do all the readings and participation assignments, it is easy to get an A. Even if I didn't get to meet him in person, Professor Shahabuddin was funny and I liked listening to his online lectures and taking his quizzes.

Mr. S is a very honest and passionate about the material he teaches. I found his class very respectful and approachable. His grading methods are honest and he tells you all you need to do in order to pass his class/receive a 4.0. Although you do receive a grade for attendance you can leave early or be late, and he is flexible with extensions.

I felt like Mr. S was a great professor. He made the material approachable, interesting, and challenging. Also I felt like we were active participants in class, not just listening to lectures. I would fully recommend taking Mr. Shahabuddin's classes, but specifically everyone should take Psychology of Racism!

he's a really funny and down to earth guy. i liked his class because it had very clear objectives and his courseload is perfect because you still do enough work to learn but it was never a huge burden. take his class if you want to have fun and learn. (he is also very fashionable with his bow ties!)

Shahabuddin's research psych class redefined the whole process of a research class, to me. Instead of a bunch of assignments over the quarter and then writing a research paper as the final, the research paper was written throughout the entire quarter. He is very funny and incredibly aware of how traditionally difficult research and stats are.

Mr. S is amazing!! He is super knowledgeable about psychology and everyone who knows him has great things to say. Psych research is a rigorous course for sure but Mr. S made it all a great pace and a great environment. Highly recommend! (ps. Lots of readings and work but if you do a little every week you'll be great)

Mr. S is such a caring, sweet, engaging professor. He has amazing energy and really goes above and beyond to make sure his students understand the material and understand what they need to do to get a good grade in his class. He makes the material interesting, which is hard to do in a research methods class, and encourages class discussion.

Mr. S made this class very easy (IMO) but I still learned a lot. We learned the material without it being stressful. Attendance is appreciated, and you will be graded for attendance. He takes attendance right at class start time, but will still give you a 1/2 point if you show up. (He seems to give you a good grade on it as long as you are trying.)

Mr. S is the best professor that I've ever taken in Central. Take his class and you won't regret it!! Attendance is not really required but it's best to show up for full points and to not get caught up with work!

Professor Shaan's PSYC100 class is fun and engaging. The lectures are interactive, and he provides helpful study guides. With unstuck AI and the textbook, you'll be set up for success. Attendance is mandatory, but it's worth it for the clear grading and support.

Great Teacher, the class i took seemed a bit difficult at first but then i got the hang of it. He is great at emailing back and give lots of good feeback and he does the best he can to help you.

One of the best profs I've had amazing lectures even though attendance isn't mandatory you'll want to go to every class. Assignments are rarely overwhelming but are consistent and teach you about the subject. His only con is being strict with tardiness show up even two minutes late and he will give you partial attendance credit for the day.

Really recommend taking; always willing to help you. Attendance will be 10% of the total grade (be on time 10 days; late receive half). 3 extra days will be extra credit. Every week, participation, a quiz, a study guide. Very easy; answers are all on video lecture and ppt. Final project (record voice, face no need), and the final exam is online.

This professor's lectures are very understandable, but it will be more understandable if you listen to the lecture in the classroom. It has a clear and organized canvas, which will make it easier for you to learn.

I think that the fact that I was taught in an easy-to-understand way how to complete my daily tasks each week, and that the content of each week's study was divided into different fields, and that I was able to review the content after studying it, helped me to better remember the material.

As always read the syllabus provided by your professors. His requirements are all listed. His lectures are enjoyable. Be ready to do a lot of group/partner discussions in class. Not every single class is required to be attended but make sure to do the minimum required for full credit. Easy going and nice guy!

For me, Prof. S is the type of professor everyone will love. He's approachable and gives amazing lectures, which you can easily understand. I'm very thankful that I was one of his students.

Mr. S is a very caring and understanding teacher. He really wants students to succeed and gives very clear guidelines as to how you can do that in his class. Assignments are super straightforward and as long as you are keeping up with the modules on canvas, you will not have anything to worry about.

Professor Shahabuddin has to be one of the most engaging instructors I have ever had. He responds to assignments in a timely manner, grades his assignments, and generally reaches out to his students. I would without a doubt recommend his course to other students interested in psychology.

You won't find this course too difficult or tiring especially if he's your professor. Because he's the type who's kind approachable understandable and very respectful in his dealings with his students.

Great professor. The assignments and quizzes are focused on helping you remember the content of the course and not testing how much you remember. I never felt stressed out trying to get assignments done. He makes it interesting and fun and is very flexible. As long as you do the work, you will get a good grade.

This class was very fun, and the final paper at first might sound scary, but when it's split into chunks, it's actually pretty easy to do. His other psychology classes are fun too, so if you're interested in psychology then look no further than Mr. S!

Mr. Shahabuddin is the most amazing professor ever! I have taken three of his psych classes and have scored A's in all of them. The work can be challenging but Mr. Shahabuddin is always there to support. The course material for this class can be daunting but he is there with you every step of the way. Professor Shahabuddin is awesome! I've taken him for many psychology courses and he's really good at what he does. All the students end up having an awesome time in-person and can bond with their fellow classmates. Even though the content itself isn't super difficult, Shahabuddin does everything on his power to keep the course as easy as possible.

Shaan was an awesome professor for this quarter. I took this class for a study abroad, and I enjoyed it. Shaan set a good balance of work and influence from the city where we studied. Homework and class expectations were set early on and we had a weekly routine of what to do. Class involved lots of class conversation and interesting discussions.

I've taken four of Shaans classes now and I've enjoyed all of them. I think he has very clear grading and cares about helping his students do well. Classes aren't hard if you turn stuff in on time.

I took this class during a study abroad quarter in Barcelona, and Shaan was a wonderful professor! Shaan is my second favorite professor ever. Taking his class has been fun. Attendance is not mandatory, but it is graded. Shaan is a chill professor, but he sticks to what he says. He will grade you based on the rubric, pay attention. I would definitely recommend taking his class, as it is highly unlikely to find a better professor.

I took both Psych100 and Psych245 with Shaan for a study abroad quarter in Spain. He was very helpful, his lectures were fun, and he is easy to talk to. My only gripe is that his grading and syllabus can be a bit inconsistent, but that may be because of the special circumstance we were in being abroad. I highly recommend his class.

Super easy class, but you still learn a lot and the entire class revolves around actually learning and integrating the concepts. Lots of group activities and very easy format to be engaged. Absolutely fantastic professor.
