Totally recommended. Easy A. Topics are interesting, not many assignments, tests are straightfoward.

Sometimes goes off course. Hard to understand sometimes due to her bi-lingual mouth. Approachable, her teaching method is all over the place, she goes into topics without transition. But, you won't hate her and she is fair.

From the start of her class,she stressed the importance of participating in class disscussion,and I blew her off.On three tests, I got a 99, 85, and 87, and on the final paper I got an A.For the class I got a B, all becuz i didnt 'talk in class' go figure

Her lecture notes are simple & easy to understand.She also goes over everything that u need to know for tests & quizes.She is a little unorganized, but that didnt bother me.What we learn is interesting.Its an easy A if u study & take good notes.She has an accent, but its not difficult to understand.

Super easy class. She is a super nice lady, the quizzes/tests are fairly easy and she goes over the answers at the end, so when u take the final (an accumulation of all the tests, verbatum) you know all the answers. Just didn't like the service learning project part (after doing it she said u could do a longer paper instead)

Intro to Criminal Justice 1100 with Professor Chowdhury was interesting and the guest speakers were very informative. She is an ideal instructor and her assignments are not hard but completions are mandatory.

She is a very easy teacher, she thinks she is funny sometimes. If you do her study guides, you will get an A on the tests, it's all vocab. Her notes are horrendus though, its like a very confusing spider web, and she gives alot of oppertunity for extra credit.

This lady is hilarious! She is the cutest teacher ever. At first it's hard to understand her accent but give it a week and you'll do just fine. She is very funny and easy. A little spacey and loses papers/dates sometimes but her class is fairly easy, especially for Criminal Justice. I liked her a lot.

I loved this teacher, her accent it a little hard to understand at first but give it a couple days. She has a lot of interesting stories that she shares with you. Her notes are a little hard to follow but once you get the hang of it you will be fine. There are 3 tests and one reearch paper 8pgs on a topic of your choice more or less and a lot E.C.

She does have a little bit of an attitude, but other than that she is a really good instructor. Study for the test and do a good research paper and the A is yours. Test are very easy if you study.

Professor Shaheen is a very easy teacher. Her test and quiz are all pretty easy. Don't even buy the book you wouldn't need that for the whole semester. Not even a piece of homework other than one 8 pages research paper. She have lots of funny story to tell. Highly recommend and wouldn't regret for taking it.

This professor is seriously the nicest! Looved her. Funny, adorable, and just wonderful. Her accent is a lil heavy at first but then you get used to it and its no problem. Overall an easy course. Definitely should take her if you get the chance to!

Took this class and it was a breeze.. very easy teacher and an easy B. Ask her a lot of questions about what's going to be on the exam. She pretty much reads off the exam questions.

She is so great! She's a foreign type of funny-she can get away with saying things just cause english isnt her 1st language. She teaches great, just go to class for the lectures and you'll be fine. Tests are easy & she tells you exactly what will be on them. Final is not cumulative. Shows videos and has guests speakers often. Loved the class!!

If you show up to class everyday, you don't need to read the textbook. I took a Hybrid class and didn't have to do the paper. She offers easy extra credit and the tests are extremely easy. If you read the textbook, you'll be bored in class, as she basically recites straight from it. She's very funny and engaging enough in class. Disorganized though

A lot of the info in this class is either from Intro to Soc or things you've already learned. I'd take this class if you need something extra or a Soc class. Very nice lady also!

Super easy class. You need the textbook because she gives an assignment for every chapter but there is usually only 7 questions per chapter. She gives study guides for every test and quiz including the final. She wants her students to pass her class and will work with you.Attendance is not mandatory just study whats on the study guides. EASY A

I took sociology in high school, and most but not all sociology teachers are disorganized. Compared to my high school teacher, she's fine. She's really nice and funny and you barely even use the book, but you need it for the access code for online homework which is fine too.

You have to not show up once in the semester to get anything lower than an A in the class. The exams are of 3rd grade level and she still makes the class interesting... Take her if you want to get the easiest A of your college career...

Took her hybrid class, half online and met once a week in class. best decision ever. Seriously the class is 2 hours a week and all the tests, homework assignments and even final is online. EASIEST. A. EVER.

I had to email her twice for clarification and got response from her fairly soon. She's a little disorganized but a very easy grader. I would deff recommend.

Took this the summer semester and this was my first online class. Be ready to write a lot of Science-Fiction essays (you can choose either film or novel to write about). Read and takes notes on each chapter. Overall, good teacher and a great online experience. Responds quickly with emails

Honestly, the reading is everything. I was not too thrilled with having to buy a movie to complete assignments, but the assignments were not hard. Just make sure you read all the chapters and be sure to take notes. The teacher is a good one though and responds to questions diligently.

I love her! I've taken her for SOC2220 & SOC1100. I think she made class really interesting by providing examples from her own life. She has a lot of interesting stories to tell as she is from Bangladesh. Class is easy and you can choose to participate or not. She kept almost all of my papers to use as examples and is clear about what she wants.

She's a little unclear sometimes with what she wants done for every chapter, but once you find your own rhythm it's smooth sailing for the rest of the semester. You literally have to read every chapter, and if she feels you aren't participating in her lectures, she assigns quizzes off those chapters so beware. Otherwise, she adorable and hilarious!

i took this class 12week online this semester and loved it! very clear grading criteria and gives good feedback. do the work an an easy A is promised. highly recommend. i learned so much in this online coarse as i do in classroom based settings.

I took Dr. Chowdhury's class online. Do the work and you're guaranteed an A. There were about 20 open book chapter exercises and about 10 2-page papers to write on either a movie or book, I chose the movie ( had enough reading already ). Can be rather a stickler on what she wants on the papers as far as execution but does give clear instructions.

She answers emails quickly. If you do all the job required you'll end up getting an A with positive feedback. The hardest thing about this course is that you'll have to write a science fiction essays and use 12 concept from each chapter. I definitely recommend her class!!!

There was 19 quizzes (25 questions, 35 min timed), 4 two pg scifi essays, 3 active learning, two part essay final. Essays require you to write about a book or movie using vocab from the textbook. AL are short. Quiz questions are straight from the book. The final is writing how sociology affects your life and finding an article and analyzing it.

On-line course. Lots of reading. Uses on-line learning tool MindTap for all quizzes for every chapter. No feedback. Cool way to learn each topic. highly recommend.

There were so many assignments throughout the semester that when it came down to the final it did not matter that I got a bad grade because I did well on the other assignments and quizzes. There are tons of opportunities for extra credit. She shows a lot of videos in class.

Pretty straightforward class. If you read the textbook, you'll be ok on the tests and quizzes. I will say that her syllabus and course guidance are located in different documents within different tabs on blackboard and often contradict each other. But once you email her for clarification, its pretty smooth sailing.

She explains things thoroughly and is overall a good professor. Although, sometimes she has to shuffle work and seems to forget where she placed things and may seem unorganized. She doesnt give too much homework and if you just show up for class and not even take notes but pay attention to the definitions and use the study guides, you should pass.

Overall her class was a great experience. There was a required textbook but I didn't have to use it at all as she posted all the necessary material online. There were a few pop quizzes but if you attend all the lectures and pay attention they were very easy. Tests were online and very easy. Attendance and participation are important though.

Easy class. All tests were online including the final exam. You can use anything you want for all 3 of them. Only 4 quizzes graded as a group, only 10 questions. Never had any homework besides optional extra credit. Some class work but it is easy. The only thing is that she has a heavy accent so sometimes it can be hard to understand. I recommend

She has videos that go with her lectures to help you understand chapters and examples of material. Her classes are very easy to pass and get a good grade in. I love Sociology because of her classes. Easy peasy 8 week class. Goes over really basic sociology concepts and topics but if you want an easy A, take this intro to sociology class. Didn't interact with the professor much because it was online but I liked the ease of it.

Professor Chowdhury's SOC1100 is an easy A. The lectures and assignments are manageable, and unstuckstudy was helpful for studying. Attendance is mandatory, but the grading is fair. Overall, a solid intro sociology course.

The teacher was an easy grader and was light on deadlines. The entire semester's coursework is accessible from the beginning and is very little.

Easy class; a couple of easy quizzes with study guides, 3 video assignments with a page worth of writing, and a final assignment of a page and a half about a political party. The BEST part for me is that the assignments can all be turned in on the last day. So if you need this for credit and have harder classes you need to prioritize, take this.

Lots of quizzes and about 5 write up assignments which arent hard just kinda time consuming. Overall easy class if you just do the work and turn stuff in.

She posted all coursework for the entire class at the beginning of the semester, so you can do the work at any pace you want. It's five assignments, each about a page long, and then a bunch of mini quizzes based on the reading. She also posts a study guide for each quiz. Great online class and an easy way to get sociology credit.

I took an 8-week Sociology class with professor Chowdhury. Very light and straightforward class. I liked how everything was already planned out and ready and was able to work ahead. She is very kind and understanding and responds to emails pretty quickly. Probably the easiest Sociology class you'll find, she's really flexible, even with due dates!

Shaheen Chowdhury was a great professor, and I enjoyed this Sociology class a lot. Mine was an online class, and I highly enjoyed reading the textbook and writing the papers. She gives you plenty of time to complete the work, offers positive feedback, and the workload wasn't heavy. I highly recommend this class if you want to take Sociology.

This was my very first Sociology class and I really enjoyed it. Course load was light and extremely manageable. I fell behind due to having Covid and she was beyond understanding and accepted my work for full credit past the deadline. Do the assignments and it's an easy A. She does like it when you write longer responses. (More is always better!)

This class was incredibly easy. The assignments were very reasonable, and all the tests/quizzes could be completed at home, without a proctor. These were also incredibly easy, only 10 questions, and you had 13 minutes to complete. She was really gracious about finishing assignments past the due dates. I would definitely recommend this professor.

Took over the summer, 4 short video writing assignments, around 12 exams (5 multiple choice questions each), very easy class and learned a lot, you can finish the course weeks in advance as all of the work is assigned at the start of the course date.

She was such a great professor and her class was super easy, I got a little behind with some assignments and she still let me make them up and gave me full credit. She does require a textbook but its fun to read. Her class was smooth and non stressful

Professor Chowdhury is one of the kindest teachers I've ever had. There is quite a bit of reading from the textbook but it's pretty interesting and easy to follow. The exams are based off the textbook and powerpoints, and the papers were pretty easy as all you had to do was watch videos and answer the provided questions. Take her class!!
