Took BCEE 451 with him. That guy is new at Concordia and seems like his lack of experience is a big problem. He only offers one example for each case, tests are too hard compared to what he shows in class, he is also unfriendly and unnecessarily strict during exams and harsh with marking. Avoid.

I guess I will remember this teacher for the rest of my life. Never seen such a hostile teacher before, he keeps threatening students by saying he will give you a zero if you dont do that or that. Harsh marker, huge ego, tries to be the cool teacher but fails big time. Exams are ridiculously hard compared to the material. Stay away from him.

When i actually do go to class, halfway through i begin to hate God for giving me the legs that brought me there. Harsh marker, difficult exams and threatens students. His ego makes us weak and hopeless. PS: Dont take this class in Fall, it will ruin your whole Christmas.

Dedicated and funny prof. He wants his students to learn. The tests are a bit tough but fair in general. I have learnt so much in this class.

Very rude, has ridiculous instructions for project and assignment submissions. He is also very last minute, don't be surprised to see a submission link magically appear on moodle a couple of hours before the said submission is due. His marking is terrible, there's no grade on your midterm, just random check marks floating about on the paper.

This guy copy and pastes slides from the book, no extra information provided, and expects us to make his class a priority over other the other courses you take. His group project expectations are ridiculous.

He acts very unprofessional, i went to see my midterm grade and he made me sign a paper b4 i could see it saying i wouldn't contest my grade. When we had oral presentations he would cut ppl off exactly at 5min and asked questions beyond the scope to embarrass each team in front of the whole class. Terrible teacher, does not seem to understand and can't explain his own material that he is teaching. Wastes a lot of class time picking on students to participate. Good news is if you like multiple choice is that the exams and assignments are multiple choice except for 1 or 2 questions. Assignments and tutorials seem to help for the exams.

Very bad teacher. Disorganized 10/10. His midterm was amazing because it was easy but the average was 45-50%. Refuses to give feedback on project proposal, then rips you for not doing what he wanted. One time a group responded back during their presentation and the whole class cheered. Exam was silly, asking very odd things. But he curves.

THis Professor is Stubborn, and for exams the final answer has the huge portion of grade. not consist during the course. Too many materials was self-study at the end of the course. Not caring about his students at all. Grade distribution was uneven!

Be careful when you submit assignments. 2 students had submitted their assignments but the reference page was sent in another e-mail, and he automatically gave them a zero and reported them to the dean for plagiarizing. The whole thing as resolved, but he is shady as a professor. Very hard, gives impossible exams (pin points from the book)

This professor is an insane marker. He does not carry your mistake and follow your procedure. If the numbers are wrong from the begging, good luck because you are getting a 0 for that whole question. In his final, there was a question out of 15 marks. I screwed up a decimal point, and he gave me 0/15 despite my procedure being correct. Good luck!

His office hours are him telling you "these office hours are only for if you criticize the way I teach, not for actual help. You want help? Ask someone in class". The classes he gives now used to have no failures (B- minimum), he actually fails people now!

Dont be fooled my friends! After his first lecture you will most likely think to yourself that he isn't so bad but as the semester goes on you will rapidly understand the reason behind all these poor ratings. This guy is neither a good teacher nor a good person. He is lazy and unhelpful. It is a shame to have him teach at the University level.

Extremely unapproachable outside of class times, office hours are a disgrace, lectures notes are messy and all over the place. Avoid this guy at all costs. A very large portion of the very boring lectures done in class isn't even present during the exams. A no-pity guy teaching a very boring class. Taking this in summer with another hard class messes you over.

Posting review of Shahin now vs when I finish the class for anyone that may be taking this course over the summer with COVID going on. This professor has no empathy for anyone situation and is extremely disrespectful. He believes that he has the right to invade your privacy and disregards people's circumstances. First time here just so I could rate this professor. After 4 years at Concordia, this is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He goes out of his way to make things more stressful and difficult for the students and doesn't bother providing answers or solutions. Rude towards the student and has absolutely no sympathy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

He doesn't have leniency or Mercy on students during this difficult time with Covid-19. Additionally to the final Proctored exam he asked Us to open zoom on our phones and positioned it 1.5 meters away in front of us at 45 degree so he can observe. Later the exams were forced to not be proctored, but still I would give him a bad rating for that.

Good: Good lecturer, tries to make class more exciting. His slides are hard to deal with because he writes all over them. Exams are very difficult. Bad: he didn't answer any of my emails throughout the semester. During COVID, for the final, required both proctorio on laptop and zoom on phone (until final was cancelled resulting in a 90% midterm).

Basically he does not care if a student learn or not.; the only thing he cares about is how to torture students . This professor for sure needs to be disciplined. Ok so i think my peers have said all that there is to say about this guy but just to quickly summarize: He - is rude - places unrealistic expectations on students - DOES NOT CARE - will not respond to your emails so don't bother - will not accept feedback on anything regarding assignments or exams (will just throw a fit,trust me) AVOID!!!

The type of guy who puts 21.2 and 20.8 as the answer choices when the answer is 21.0 . Then asks you which answer is the closest, while also adding a "none of the above" option. Negative marking applies to all questions, so be prepared to lose 1.25 x your grade. You have been warned.

To be fair, if you do all the practice questions, tutorial questions, and assignments, you will find mostly the same one for the Midterm and Final. But this does not change the fact that he is arrogant and lazy. Don't communicate with students, no feedback on anything, he might even forget to post the final grade!

Do your best to avoid this professor. I don't know who hurt him, but he takes it out on his students. Negative grading for wrong answers, surprise oral tests which you'll likely not answer to his expectations, and unfamiliar test questions 10x harder than assignment questions. To get a very good grade in these exams, you literally must be extremely fast, know every detail and there's no time to mess up! I bet he wouldn't even able to get A+ in his own exam.

Remember those english exam questions that you had to read 10 times to figure out what they were asking? That's what his quizzes are like. He doesn't really seem to care about students, and don't ever try to ask a question about a quiz. The material is interesting and should be easy, but he makes it needlessly complicated.

Treats quizzes like an 100m dash, deducts 30% if your name is 1080p in the calculation upload that he gives you 3 minutes to do for quizzes worth 30% of your grade. Should be considered a drill sergeant, not a professor.

This man takes out his anger on his students. Course material is easy, so he accuses everyone of cheating. Quizzes are worth 60% and he doesn't give you enough time to answer half of the questions. Every question has negative grading. Your answer: 146.6. Options: a) 146.87, b) 146.5, c) "my answer is none of these". Definitely avoid at all costs

Horrible professor who gives tests and quizzes that are borderline impossible to pass and then acts incredibly rude and unforgiving about it. He hinted in office hours that sometimes he reviews himself on this website to boost his score - maybe if he cared half as much about students as his rating he wouldn't have to.

Lectures slides are directly taken from the textbook. He removed info from the slides to make you believe you MUST come to his class. Just use the textbook, even the examples in his slides are from the textbook lol. He will barely reply to your emails so forget about that. Summery: easy class easy time becomes hard class boring class.

His favorite phrases are ''this is pretty self explanatory'' and '' I will let you guys search this by yourself''. The ratio of class difficulty to prof difficulty is out of the roof. Professor makes killer exams and is rude. Unorganized powerpoints filled with mistakes and countless mistakes on the midterm and final. Average grade on midterm was 50% and highest grade was 80%. Has issues with giving students there acommadations. Never seen someone passionate about trying to fail students.

Is the exam meant to understand the concepts of the class or making sure you do not fall for the 1000x tricks he puts in them. Teaches the slides provided well, but the slides have no relevance to how hard the test or exam will be like. Worst prof I have ever experienced in university and I am in my last year!

Hands down worst professor out there, makes the exams incredibly tricky and stressful for no reason. Midterm average was 50 % and the final was probably worse since the department curved a lot. I'm a straight A student and I got my worst grade with him. Just because I declined his "moves" and "gestures" and was repulsed by him and stood up to him during office hours when I went to see my midterm. I know for a fact I don't deserve the C- I got, I just didn't know who to complain to. Don't be like me, expose this excuse of a human being.
