She is a great teacher. Very passionate about her work. She's tough though and wants you to try your best, but she is always available to help and genuinly wants her students to succeed. More teachers should be like her.

She's a great person.She's strict-follows the guidelines by the dept.There are no make-ups for anything, but there is extra credit.If u want to pass, all u have to do is take home what she teaches and STUDY it.Isn't that what you're supposed to do in college?I think it depends on u-if u are willing to do work and study, then she is a great teacher.

AP in general is a challenging course. I started with B to C and I ended up with a great A. This means I didn't give up. more than 50% of the class either got dropped off or quit. First of all, whoever said she was hard are either crazy or lazy. She gives you about 10% extra credit, lecture note, and study guide. She also drop 1 exam out of 3. I really don't know what to say if you can't get an A in this class. I study about 20 hrs each week. I know a lots of students are waiting to take her again. I highly recommend her.

Professor Kanani is a very sweet teacher. She will answer all of your questions to the best of her ability. She gives tons of extra credit and drops an exam grade. Just spend a few hours a week studying and you will be fine.

Professor Kanani provides all the tools needed it's up to you to put in the work. The test are challenging but you get study guides and extra credit to boost your grade. Is clear on teaching but not clear on what is needed to be known, person below me lies does not give study guides, practicals are fast paced not enough time. Exams are fair but as said teacher does not give idea on what could be on the test. Too much information is expected to be known for class!

Knowledgable - NO Study guides - covers way more info than you are tested on - timed lab testes very stressful. This is not a class you can breeze through so plan on dedicating LOTS of hours studying and reading the text. She is knowledgable but jumps all over the place. I got a "C" and worked my butt off to get it!

One of the BEST, very knowledgeable & cares a lot about her students. Gives study guide for lab tests. For other tests just follow her lecture notes. I?ll give her A+. Definitely take her again.

she is REALLY the best choice for teaching AP; she is teaching very well and explains every single thing in a clear way,even low IQ students can learn in the class and they are interested to pay attention to her; SHAME on VALENCIA that she is not teaching AP2 and MICROBIOLOGY but some professor who are not able to talk, are teaching MICRO.........

Just stay awake and attentive during her lectures and do the study guides. If you take her for AP1 be sure to quickly sign up for her AP2 class. I want to sign up for her now but all her classes are taken up.

WOW!! Great Teacher!! Makes you really care about any medical profession you may be undertaking. Explains everything thoroughly and draws great pics on the board. Whoever says Dr. Kanani is hard is either crazy or lazy. Judging from below student's comment, he/she hasn't seen a classroom since kindergarten. AP is for serious learners; of course you have to study. Dr. Kanani explains difficult concepts in simple ways, is nice, brilliant, very helpful and cares so much about her students

Dr. Kanani is the BEST biology prof. at Valencia. Yes, success in her class comes at the price of lots of study which you can expect in any AP class. API/II are very dense courses. She explains thoroughly, has great powerpoints, gives study guides and practice tests. Has a GREAT personality . Also she has great taste in clothes!

Dr. Kanani, is the most wonderful professor! & I recommend every student to take her course!! She's the best!! To get an A in the course you must study!!.. her powerpoints and anything else she provides! All her test are multiple choice! Most of the class has either an A or B!! :)

Easiest science course ever. Provides the lecture notes online via powerpoint or you can buy her lecture notes for the semester from the bookstore. Minimal work outside of the classroom and she gives you study guides which tell you EXACTLY what to expect on the test. Also gives plenty of easy extra credit opportunities. BEST professor for Anatomy.

I took her for AP1 and I loved this class. I wasn't very good with science before, but she has gone above and beyond what I need out of a professor. She will not spoon feed you, but she will do everything necessary to help you understand. Whenever I had a question, I emailed her and she would email back ASAP. Wish all professors were like her!

APII is a challenging course and requires lots of studying. Dr. Kanani is so clear and really knows her stuff; is incredibly accessible, explains in depth, and her drawing on the board is helpful. I wish I had her for A&PI, I would have known a lot more. A true gem at Valencia.

Dr Kanani is an amazing professor that truly wants her students to learn and understand the material.The material is not easy but she will definitely explain it and help you understand it. Course is challenging. She wants you to be successful. Gives review guides that explain where questions come from. I found tests to be very tricky with wording. If I had studied more (I barely studied) I would definitely have had an A. Some students literally had a 96% in the class prior to final exam. Gives plenty of extra credit.

Dr. Kanani is a great lecturer, explains thoroughly, uses her impressive drawing skill to make the subject matter very interesting, and is very savvy with technology. Best professor ever. Very attentive, draws on board, provides study guides,quickly responds to all emails and explains it over and over again until you have a good understanding. The time spent in this class(2009) was the most knowledgeable time of my life. I am in the final year of grad school(PharmD)and have yet to encounter a professor with the skill and passion that Dr. Kanani brings to class. She selflessly invests her time in every student willing to learn. She didn't teach BSC2094C in 2009, so I missed out.

I registered both API&II with Dr. Kanani. Very challenging courses, but I could not ask for a better professor! I really enjoyed being in Dr. Kanani’s API&II class, she is an excellent professor. Her course is well organized, I never got lost for a second. Such an amazing professor! Very helpful and clear when explaining material and will show you different examples so that you can fully understand. The assignments were very helpful in helping you prepare for the exams. Obviously, this is a higher level science course so you have to work at it. I would definitely recommend her to anybody.

Kept an A all the way until the final and end up passing with a high B. i WILL be honest! I didnt properly study for the teacher. The only times i studied was right before the test on the same day of the test or read through powerpnt the night before the test. I took her easiness for granted. If i would have took it serious i could have kept my A!

This lady is amazing! She is highly intelligent and her lectures are fun. I was worried about taking AP1 but I am so glad I did. You do not need book just use her slides. She gives a good amount of extra credit.

I am currently taking her for AP2 because AP1 with her was AMAZING. She gives study guides, and her tests are based on the study guides. She lectures off of Power Points. There are take home assignments (online) but they are easy and aren't usually due until the class before the actual test. There are only six tests (including the Final).

My first teacher who actually teaches! Although she makes power points, she doesnt read it word for word, instead she draws her on pictures and graphs to explain. She even uses real life experience to help. At times she gives these inspirational speeches that are really motivating. Overall she is AMAZING!! 3exam 2labs, 3easyHW, and extra-credit!

I promise she is an amazing teacher. I never met a teacher who had amazing lectures examples and power points like her. Easy A if you work hard. I regret not studying in her class end up with a B in AnP1 and AnP2. Hurry and get her before its too late.

OMG! Kanani is such an amazing teacher! She is very smart, super helpful and very caring. I took her for Anatomy & Physiology II, her tests are not that easy, could be very tricky, but than again its about the Physiology. What I can say is that get ready to study, at the end it is all worth it. She gives an adequate amount of extra credit.

Dr. Kanani is one of the best and most desired professors at Valancia. If you don't believe me, just try to sign up for one of her classes. It's hard to get into one. Her lectures are the most organized and sensible on the planet. She manages to take an extremely difficult topic and make it comprehensible. You still have to study though!

Most amazing professor I've had the pleasure of taking. Very smart and her lectures are "crystal clear". Personally, I thought the class was extremely easy. So much extra credit it was hard to drop down to a 95. But you need to show up. The only issue I've had were students in the group projects. She's hilarious as well. She's a 10/10 human being.

She's the greatest professor I've ever had. Really puts things in perspective for you. Doesn't sugar coat anything & is willing to teach you more than 1 way. If you take her class, I will say you should take it alone because it is time consuming. I recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Kanani is by far the most intelligent person I have ever met. Her method of teaching cannot even be put into words. Everything that may not make sense does after she lectures on it. She creates additional pictures to "dummy down" the information, and some are rather funny! If you are lucky enough, take her! Study, you will get an A.

Doctor Kanani is one of the best professors who I met during all my studying years. She is very intelligent and organized. All her assignments and tasks are cristal clear. The lectures are very interesting and interactive . To pass this class, You definitely have to study all the material. I would really recommend to take this class.

Dr. Kanani is perhaps the best professor I've ever had. She cares about her students, and is passionate about anatomy and physiology. Her class isn't easy, but it is absolutely worth it. I learned so much and feel prepared to continue with my education. I wish there were other classes I could take from her.

She is a GREAT Professor! I took her twice for A&P 1. The first time I failed with a D but it was completely my fault . I would not recommend this over the summer. I took A&P over in the fall and got a B. I was a couple points from an A. Yes I cried. Overall her teaching style is wonderful and you can understand if you pay attention and STUDY!!

This teacher is absolutely the best professor I have ever had. As long as you do what is asked you will get an A. The first day her accent threw me off, but I got used to it and so happy i took her. I loved her class so much I took her for AP2. Take her I promise it will be the best thing you do for yourself at Valencia.

I would recommend, but her class IS NOT easy. She expects you to dedicate your life to A&P. I do like how you can bomb the test but manage to have a B due to the class activites and other assignments. There is ALOT of group work(almost every class) Shes like to draw pictures and answer questions. BUT she sometimes says rude things. STUDY EVERYDAY!!

There are 3 online quizzes, 4 tests, 1 class lab, extra credit activities. Do not miss one single class because there are activities every class. I end up with an A.

I took her for AP1 & AP2. Ended AP2 with an A. She is very detailed, and that can cause you to miss the question. Group activity almost everyday. Learn & understand the material, don't memorize. She has a study guide. Her test can be tough if you don't study. Take the class seriously and STUDY, you will pass. People drop because they don't study.

Professor Kanani is most definitely one of a kind. Everything we learned in class was in direct correlation with the tests. There are NUMEROUS chances to pass this class, don't go into it lightly. Dr. Kanani made my experience with A&P I very enjoyable. Her lectures, including the PowerPoints and explanations are the most clear and concise you can get. She was an alright teacher, but every chance she got, she would mention how she got her first PhD at 22 and how this is just a "college" class and apparently that makes it less significant. Overall, good teacher, she has very high expectations, and a LOT of your grade is determined by the lab final and the final. I had an A all semester until then.

She is very good at explaining, clear and takes her time by drawing on the board for every topic of the lecture. I never had a problem understanding her. If I would of paid more attention to her videos which are like gems I know I would of made a better grade. Truly cares and goes above and beyond to help you understand through her videos. Some extra credit, and will take off points if you are not present.

A great prof. She expalins everything and is very clear with what to study. Her exams are not really difficult. I studied average an hour a day and got A in every one of her tests. I love professor kanani when it comes to her face to face class. But when we switched to online format, her class became EXTREMELY hard. I would watch all the lecture videos yet when it was time for the assignments I would get several wrong which led me to failing the tests. There were so many lecture videos to watch. Prof. Kanani is organized and clear on what to study. 60% of grade is from 4 exams, questions all from her notes, pretty straightforward. Her assignments are all open book, they count for almost 40% of grade and she gives extra credit. AP needs studying. If you study her notes few times, you'll do fine. If you want an easy course, it ain't AP.

Gives many opportunities to help boost your grade. Replaces low exam grade. Study and ask if you don't get it. That's what I did and my low exam grade is 92.

Her notes are GREAT. In videos she explains what she has in her notes. I take AP2 with nutrition & micro, don't have much time & just study her notes. Her videos are well made and help if you have time. I kept a solid B & I am not the best test taker. I recommend her to those serious about AP & willing to study.

As a bad test taker I am really glad that she doesnt base your grade solely on tests which helps me A LOT. Dr. Kanani is a superb professor. Thanks to her great videos this was the first science class during covid that I actually learned the topics. All info you need to know is in her notes. Very organized & respectful, answers questions quickly & gives EC. You need to study but the amount of work and what she expects is reasonable. Highly recommend her

Dr. Kanani will always set clear expectations on how to be successful in the course. She is always happy to clarify or reexplain a concept. She expects you put in the work, you won't skate through this course by putting in the bare minimum, but she is also there every step of the way. Homework is very useful in preparing for exams. Dr. Kanani has mastered teaching with how she conducts her lecture which hits all of the main types of learning such as Auditory, Visual, and Kinesthetic. Lots of extra credits offered throughout the course. Provides study guides and assignments that are near identical to her exams (info wise). Course is no joke but her resources makes it bearable.

This class was the most stress-free course I've ever taken. Dr.Kanani has a very organized class and offers numerous self-resources. Quiz-based assignments have multiple attempts, similar to timed and proctored exams with tons of extra credit. You must study for this course as there is a lot of material.

The course itself is quite hard. The textbook is not required. She offers plenty of Extra Credit and even disables proctoring for some of the Exams. Get ready to watch videos, take lots of notes, and read pdfs. Since this is A&P II, I would NOT recommend taking this course with another, lest you welcome the challenge. Course needs studying, of course, but her expectation is very reasonable, and answers questions super quickly. I would give her 10 out of 10

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I took this course as a mixed mode class it was very easy. She gives her students study guides of what will be on the test. She makes difficult topics easy to understand. And gives out alot if extra credit work. Its hard to FAIL her class as long as you do your work and not be lazy you can pass with an easy A! She is the best !

Dr. Kanani is a wonderful professor! You can tell she is passionate about what she does and it shows in her course. She has an appreciation for structure and her class is simply to follow as long as you do the work ON TIME and study. There are many opportunities for extra credit and she is very responsive. 100% recommend her! :)

This class was completely online but the professor was very involved. Its hard to fail her class, she offers a lot of extra credit, study guides and other things that set you up for success. You do have to do the work and read but its not overwhelming. I would take her again.

I loved Professor Kanani, you can tell she appreciates structure and loves what she does. Her video lectures are thorough and really help you learn the concept, at least for me. Audio/visual learner here. Her tests are structured around the assignments, if you do your work and study, you will get an A. Take her!

She is honestly the best professor I've had yet at Valencia. If you're expecting to pass this class without studying you'll most likely struggle. She expects you to KNOW to material because you need to know it in the real world if you aspire to have a nursing career. She offers lots of opportunities for extra credit you just have to be prepared.

Great class. The 'hardest' part was in class assignments that you can do in groups. She provides study guides shorter than the lectures with information that is actually on the exams. Exams are proctored, but she allows one paper which should be your study guide. Lowest grade is replaced with average of first 3 exams. Offers a lot of extra credit.

Dr Kanani is a great prof if you make effort and do the work. She gives great notes with tons of videos explaining everything, is quick answering questions, fair and respectful, and gives many chances to get points for a better grade. If you wanna learn, she's a great prof. but if you're looking for just easy grade, she's not for you then.

This prof is organized and thourough, has plenty of videos explaining difficult topics in a way easy to understand and gives good notes to study. Her tests are fair and follow questions in her assignments, be ready to study few hours a week though, she's always there to help and answers questions quickly, overall a very good experience

She is a great professor, clear with what you need to know, her notes are great, explains everything really well in her videos. take her assignments seriously bc her exams correlate to her assignments, very quick answering questions. recommend her if you're taking the course to get into health programs

If you're looking for a sign to take this professor this is it! Absolutely loved her she's one of the best professors I've ever had. The class is challenging, but she provides many resources that make studying much easier. There are plenty of opportunities for easy extra credit, and the course is very straightforward and organized.Highly recommend!

took her as a transfer student for h&p 1 and i would definitely take her again. she has a grace period on assignments and exams for 48 hrs besides the first one for fin. aid credit. she is super kind. the lecture assignments are a bit lengthy like 30-40 questions a week but its very doable bc its all in the ppts she provides. lots of extra credit !

Great prof, plenty videos explaining everything, no busy work or unpleasant surprises, pretty straght forward, gives assignments to help prepare for exams, exams are on her notes & videos. answers questions quickly, VERY attentive, obvious she geniounly cares for students, be ready to study, AP is not easy, but she makes it manageable, recommend

Professor Kanani is AMAZING! I took her A&P 2 class online, and she had many resources to help you study and pass the exams. She is very responsive when communicating with her; any questions I had, she was always very helpful. Her videos helped me when studying and with homework. If you put in the work, you will pass! I definitely recommend her!

Quizzes & exams are not proctored but that doesn't mean you don't have to study. Her answers for these questions are based off of her lecture videos/PowerPoints not the internet. Gives extra credit for on time submission on exams, extra credit quizzes and extra credit discussions put in the work and you'll do great! Would take again!

honetsly, the most organized class I've ever taken, the professor is really responsive, answers questions fast and is always there to help and gives good feeback, expectations are totally manageable, everything on exams comes from her notes and lecture videos, you definitely have to study, you can't just google everything.honestly highly recommend
