He is the best teacher ever.. He is not very organized doesnt give a syllabus. Only take 3 tests that are 10 ?'s each and are similar to each other. He teaches very good and makes sure that you understand the material. Hw each class counts 5% through ur grade .. doit or dont do it.. great personality...EASY A..easy on grading.TAKE HIM!

homework every day but not too much...u can have a cheat sheet for the tests which is only 10 questions...which makes it very easy so u dont have memorize all the formulas...take notes so creating CS will be easy...i got a B in his class cuz i didn't bother looking over my homework or sample problems cuz they sometimes appeare on the tests

He's funny.He started using the smartboard, he spends the first 15 mnt of class figuring it out. Doesn't care about hmwrk, do it if your having trouble. take really good notes, use class notes for study guide. Save each study guide, because his tests are accumalitive. Make sure you do the class exercizes and he sees your answer.

I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework. Ahmadi is one of those teachers. He teaches from the heart, not from the books. I can inform you positively and with much certainty that he is a great professor. Take action! Take his class.

I'm a visiting student, and before taking this class I had lost almost all interest in math. But Dr. Ahmadi has put it back in me. He is a very good teacher, he's very fair on hw and grading tests. He's very straightforward and follows the book very well. For a summer class, it wasn't too time consuming with him.

Great guy, very helpful. You do have to understand the material, but he's pretty clear. DO THE HOMEWORK. Some of the questions come straight from there. His class isn't a cakewalk; you actually have to work, but it's easy if you make even a little effort. HINT: NOVA HAS SOME GREAT DVDs IN EVERY MATH CENTER. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM.

Totally Awesome!! He's really chill, class goes by super fast, he gives 2-3 breaks during 6 week course class periods, and his tests are easy. It was easy to learn and I hate math. He allows cheat sheets for tests as well. A++

Man I hate math, but his class was different. His class was really good because he explains everything to you and tells you whats on his test. He does give alot of homework, but his tests arent too bad. There ten questions on all of them, and they cover everything to that point in the class. if you have to take math takeit with him he great.

Math 151 is a good class. Nearly all the material was useful and can be used in your life to solve problems and situations. As far as Ahmadi goes, what can I say? He just BEST math teacher I have ever seen! He is truly a blessing if you hate math but need the credit! I wish he taught other classes really.

He's straight out of the book, luckily for him the book is really good. Exam questions are straight from examples in class and from the book. Didn't do the greatest job teaching chp 14 and 15 imho but it was fair. Class could've been much harder but wasn't with him. Allows a formula sheet for exams.

The best class! I don't have to take MTH 152 next semester, but I'm going to anyway as an elective. He makes everything so clear & it's a fun class. Every few weeks he'll have a "questions-only" and no lecture class, which only lasts about 20 minutes. Attendance isn't mandatory, only 2 tests and one exam. Nice guy. Really funny. Gave me a passion for math!

this is the best class i have ecer attended. i noticed, unlike many other classes, students never skip his class. he gives personal attention to each student and trust me...if you dont pass in his class, something is totally wrong with you!! I got staright A's and i wasn't even trying that hard.

He's a really good teacher. He goes over the information until he is absolutely sure that you understand it. His class can be a tad unorganized, and the homework he assigns I'm not even sure that he really keeps track of, and he has 3, 10 question exams, and thats 90% of the grade for the class, so it is easy to make a mistake a lower you grade.

He is good if you need to just get through math. I took his "hybrid" course which is really just a class that meets once a week. I am really good at math, so I had no problem, but for some who struggle with it, it might not be enough class time to understand everything. Tests were easy for me, he lets you use a cheat sheet.

His course helped me actually understand math, and anytime I had questions or there was any confusion he was extremely helpful and understanding. The tests were supe easy and short. I would say that you can get by doing a minimal amount of work in the course as long as you attend class, and still get a great grade.

He knows how to teach math. Although I received a B in his class I still think he is the best Math teacher around. 10 Pro. on test and if you screw up on 2 you automatically have a B. His 3rd test is the hardest plus it is comprehensive (covers everything). First and second tests are easy. Show up for each class… (u’ll know why)… it's a secret.

I enjoyed this class. Took him during summer for 6 weeks. You have to have your textbook with you every day. You have to have a TI-83 calculator or better because you will FAIL if you don't. Got an A. Look at the examples of the questions in the textbooks because he uses them as test questions.

This guy can be a little hard to understand for the first couple weeks (very thick accent), but he really knows his stuff and teaches the material in a way that is easy to understand. He goes the extra step to show you why things are the way they are, which really helps with the comprehension.

One of the easiest teachers I have had. If you just show up to class everyday, you will get an A. His class notes were exactly the same as his tests. If you take class notes, you'll have the answers to his tests! I did not have trouble understanding his accent at all. Had Mr.Ahmadi for both 151/ 152.He keeps the material simple because math 151 and 152 isn't hard, but can be a little confusing at times just show up to class and take notes.He has an accent but I had no problem understanding him.I got A's in both classes.Pick him if you want to learn the material, have minimal homework and get a good grade.

Ahmadi is the best, of course the material is going to be hard in math/engineering but he actually knows how to teach it in a way that is logical and easy to follow unlike so many other GW professors. SUCH a good guy, definitely take his courses. He will meet with you whenever you need help and make it his priority that everything is going well.

Great professor.Talking about knowing the stuff, this is it. I don't know how he does it, but one worked example he does covers majority of the exercises in the text book. so his homework taken from the text comes in very easy.He seems an easy guy, he will not hesitate to give you an 'A' if you deserve it. Take this class, you will not regret it.

She's a good online instructor, at times can take a day to respond to emails, but does respond. If you're good at math this should be easy. If not, you may need some time in the math lab bc as an online student you're teaching yourself. Exams are 20 questions,but you show all your work and can get partial credit for right steps.

If you need a math credit take it with him! Seriously! He made MTH 151 easy and he was really clear with teaching. You can make a formula sheet to use on the tests so make sure you take good notes! There is also homework due every week but it is really easy. Prof. Ahmadi is such a good teacher and I'm really upset I can't take MTH 152 with him.

This is a very easy class. If you just show up and take good notes, you can easily get an A on his exams. Exams are really easy, they're just 10 questions and they come directly from the notes. Wow...this professor could teach calculus to a tree. He takes some of the most complicated college material and magically turns it into simple stuff. If you are not good at math, take this professor! I've taken about 70 college classes and he is, by far, the most skilled teacher I have ever seen.

Professor Ahmadi is the best! He is extremely nice, funny, and helpful! He practices basic examples of the problems and does not move on until everyone understands. His notes are simple, but if you pay attention and copy/practice the ex. you will have no problem on test. 3 tests, 1 final, and you get a formula sheet. All exams have only 10 q's.

Overall not a bad teacher. His blackboard could use some cleaning up, it was a bit confusing finding out what the assignment's were. His lessons where clear and detailed. Not bad 8/10 would take again.

Professor Ahmadi is a great teacher that breaks down every chapter and makes lectures easy to understand! His homework usually consists of three easy parts and his tests are easy, especially with the cheat sheet he allows! His blackboard is a bit messy but can still be kind of understandable. If you struggle in math, he is your best bet to take!

Ahmadi is a great teacher I took him twice and the first time I was nervous because I took a hybrid course, but that just means the homework is online, and it is not hard nor time consuming. If you do miss a class he always reviews the material from the previous class which really helps. He allows cheat sheets for the tests. TAKE HIM!!

Two words AMAZING PROFESSOR. If you want an A and math is really not your thing then take his class. Now don't get me wrong, not super easy you do have to put in some work but trust me its manageable. Homework every class that is due at end of each week online. 3 total exams, 2 exams online 20 questions each. Final exam in class with 11 questions.

He was an amazing professor. I was taking 15 credits in summer with MTH-166 that 5 credits for 5 weeks. I had to go school everyday 6:30 to 9:30 but he had a skill about teaching. Do your homework Don't hesitate to ask.

I'm really not sure how anyone could give Professor Ahmadi a rating less than 5.. I've always struggled with math but he made calculus so easy to understand plus he's a great guy. I would highly recommend him for any math class! Just show up, do the homework, participate in the discussion board posts, study for the exams, and you'll be golden.

TAKE HIM. Don't stress about 271 in the summer. With him, it is super easy. He goes step by step and goes around checking everybody's work to make sure they are doing okay. Exams are super easy. Seriously, calc scared me, but it is SO much easier than you think. His phrase is "that's it" haha. You can make a formula sheet for tests. Just follow it

He is the best calc prof. He makes calc so simple and easy. You will use formulas but he is so easy cuz he doesn't make you simplify. Just find derivitive and youre good. This will later make sense. He goes step by step. Don't go ahead. He does this so the class understands. Get textbook and use calcchat which shows the answers step by step. Easy!

This class is all about derivatives and integrals. Example: Find derivitive of x^3. Answer: 3x^2. Literally, bring down 3 next to x and subtract exponent by 1. SO EASY. This is calculus in a nutshell. He makes it so easy. Use calc chat if you get stuck, it shows you step by step answers (video version and written) But Ahmadi is enough. TAKE HIM!

Professor Ahmadi is wonderful! He is kind and really cares about his students. His teaching is so perfectly broken down that anyone is able to understand. Even if you struggle in math like me. Definitely your best bet! I would retake him for any math class. Go with Professor Ahmadi, or settle for someone with possibly less ability to teach.

Despite what other people are saying, Professor Ahmadi teaches MTH152 with so much detail, and if you missed a class he does review the next day. If you're bad at math, it's broken down so much and repeated so much that you will understand it! I would take him for any other math class

THE BEST CALC PROF. he takes his time to make sure everyone understands the topic before moving on. Homework assigns, discussion boards, quiz are very easy. The test are short like 10-12 questions. You CAN use formula sheets.

Hes the best math professor I've ever had and I would take him for any other math class in a heartbeat. It takes talent to teach math to those who suck at it, but he does it so gracefully. If you dont understand anything he'll happily go over it with you. He's a happy person compared to other miserable professors so you'll actually enjoy this class

The professor is willing to help. 2nd time in his class. He gives out homework everyday, but just checks for completion. Quizzes and test were online except final. He lets you take 3 sheets of paper with formulas on it. He can be slow at putting grades in. Took final almost 3 weeks ago and still no grade but other than that he is super nice.

He was very caring and enthusiastic about teaching and explaining problems multiple times when people don't understand. Can't say I learned much but hey, I passed with an A and I'm not even good at math. 4 exams (10qs). A lot of the exams after 1st exam have repeated questions from the past exam so keep that in mind. He was such a great professor. He knows what he's doing and how to teach. I'm not great at math but he is an amazing professor. Very easy going and understanding. Doesn't over do homework and only checks for completion. He's a great dude. Bless you Prof Ahmadi

Not that good. Now, I am taking MTH 164 and struggling because I didn't learn enough in MTH 163 (class was too easy). If you take MTH 163 be warned because you probably didn't learn enough and suggest taking it again with someone else. If you want an easy A yeah take him but you will not be challenged. Disappointed.

Prof Ahmadi was one of the best math profs I've taken. He did an excellent job of explaining the concepts in his own way that was reinforced by the book. Course was tough but fair. HW was turned in every class but never checked for correctness. Three exams: Two midterms and a final. All exams were cumulative but he allows to have formula sheets.

IF YOU'RE NOT A MATH PERSON, THIS IS YOUR GUY!!! Professor Ahmadi ensures to cover everything you need for this class. Doesn't assume you remember stuff from 9th grade math, so he gives refreshers for everything. If you dont attend classes at the Manassas campus, he's worth the drive.

Great professor. The material is explained thoroughly but not a whole lot of organization. It is close to the end of the semester and I still am not sure what my grade is. Overall, I've learned a lot.

He is by far my favorite Math professor here and i've taken about 5 already. He makes math so easy, and his tests are open note. Homework can be a lot, but is only 5%, and attendance is another 5%. Exams are 90% of the grade so you just need to do well on those, and anyone with a couple brain cells can at-least earn a B.

He takes the extremely hard concepts and boils it down to the basics of what you need to know. His tests are not hard - he uses almost identical examples from class on the tests. He is great!!

He's the best professor you can ever take for a calculus course. This class is really easy to follow along because the professor grabs the equation out the book and simplifies the material the the bare minimal so that you can understand it step by step. Trust me anyone can pass with a B with the very least maybe even no effort tried. EASY A CLASS!

This is by far my favorite prof at NOVA. He explains everything so well. There is no way for you to not understand the core of the subject. I was surprised how much i enjoyed math and this is how you know if your prof is good at what he does. During the semester we had 3 exams with 20 questions each- study and will have no problems passing.

Professor has an accent, but is easily understood. Sometimes goes off topic and doesn't answer the question. just remind him. Cares a lot about his students, don't be afraid to ask questions. Online homework is easy. Quizzes are easy. Simple class discussions. Tests are not hard at all, he gives credit for trying! Can use formula sheet.

Professor Ahmadi has been one of the best professors I've ever had! He is so caring and understanding. I had him for the Spring Semester 2020 (the semester that COVID-19 interfered with) his in person lectures were easy to follow just like his ZOOM lectures. He encouraged us to be attend the ZOOM lectures but understand if we couldn't. 100/10!!

Dr. Ahmadi is such a great professor! I have always been good at math but never enjoyed it. He makes this math course so interesting and keeps you engaged. There is homework every week as well as a chapter quiz each week. 3 tests and gives points for showing work on exams. He makes math seem easy as long as you put in the work! TAKE HIS CLASS.

Best professor ever! Really explains the material, and does not continue lecturing if someone does not understand, he goes over everything in depth... Go to class because most of the problems solved in class will be on the test, as well as the small quizzes online and the homework!!!!!!! Prof. Ahmadi is my favorite professor at NOVA. He's avery nice man and teaches in a way that helps you understand. I've taken Precalc with other professors and didn't do well. Due to Covid the grading criteria has changed a bit with weekly homework, 5 question multiple choice quiz, and 20 question quiz. I finished with an A in 161 and 261. TAKE HIM

Great Professor

Hes a very easygoing guy, has an accent so if you're hard to understand people with accents, might not be the best for you. however, he does repeat himself a lot to make sure everyone heard properly. Happy to answer any questions you have. He uses paper to write down the material as he goes over it. homework is online and not hard. he explains well

I was intimidated to take a precalc class as an adult but he takes his time to teach the material really well and makes sure everyone understands before moving forward with sections. He is really funny and makes a serious environment comfortable and easy to learn in. I wish he would teach all math classes!

One of the best math professors I've ever had, his way of explaining the material is amazing. I thought calculus was going to be very difficult but his style of teaching makes it so much easier. He is also really personable and friendly, so if you're going to take a math class, do yourself a favor and take him.

Professor is very patient, gives a lot of examples and does not waste time in class. Very personable, can have a laugh but teaches. Hes a very laid back professor, very nice as well. Out of al the professors I had this fall semester he is the best in teaching the curriculum. He made math easy and i suck at math. I recommend him, he will help you understand math better. He also curves the exams, which is nice of him.

I had this professor for the online class. He explains everything very well. He always makes sure everyone is following what he is saying. There are quizzes every week, but they are fairly easy. The tests (3 in total) have basically the same things as the quizzes. The only con is that he is not great at answering emails. Would take his class again.

Professor Ahmadi is the best math teacher Ive had over online classes! He tries his best to explain to students and make sure they understand the materials. All my classmates and I thought he was great and an easy grader overall. Theres work to do, of course, but not as much as the past classes I have taken. Id definitely take his class again :)

I Highly Recommend Professor Ahmadi. He is very knowledgeable and he understands student's struggles and gives multiple chances to learn and pass. If you take an online class with him, a digital textbook "ALEKX" for assignments, a scientific calculator is a MUST. You won't pass the class if you don't have those items. It is an Easy A class.

This professor made my view on math change. He gives out a pretty substantial amount of assignments but the discussions don't have set due dates. Attendance is mandatory however, if you miss class and let him know that you watched the recorded lectures, he will be okay with that. The way he words some questions is confusing but not totally hard.

Do the pearson HW and practice, over and over again, if your confused, use step-by-step tool, that was extremely helpful for me. He's very nice and no lockdown browser, at least for our class. Super chill, records the lectures, you still have to do the work. Study, ask questions, watch Brian McLogan, and you'll pass. I had a 99.99, no joke.

Ahmadi is a saint. He is a very caring professor that wants nothing more than for every student to be successful. He will respond to emails very quickly at any hour of the night. He understands that while we are students, we are people outside of school and life happens. He will do everything to work with you to make sure you succeed. Take Ahmadi!

Professor Ahmadi is a life saver. He truly cares about his students success and tries to help them. HW is manageable on Pearson, and tests are in Canvas multiple choice no lockdown. Even as a 6 wk I was able to pass with an A cause of Ahmadi's great lectures and manageable tests. Highly recommend for anybody that struggles in math. Take care Prof!

Amazing professor, wish he taught other calc classes. His lectures are super straightforward, same goes for the homework, quizzes, and tests. Show up to class, pay attention, and you will pass. Had him for MTH261

Quizzes, short discussion posts, and mypearsonlab homework. All are easy. If you struggle in math you might want to start practicing more. The professor is good at what he teaches. He's also very nice! Easy class if you're good at math, if you're not, practice more and you'll be fine. Also, your grade will be dictated by what you got on the exam.

Very understanding professor

His class is SUPER easy to understand. 2 Exams + the Final. He makes sure you understand the steps to solving a problem by giving many examples. Easy to understand. Easy grader. Gives A LOT of extra time on ALL exams which only have a few questions. Easy 5 question quizzes each week. Easy homework due each week. Easy discussion posts. EASY EASY!!

if you dont take professor ahmadi, you are missing out big time. he is an absolute gem. only 2 tests and a final exam. open book. the online textbook can can be annoying, but theres an identical example to every question if you dont understand. super inspirational, inspires us to never give up and keep going forward. if you suck at math, def take him, he will break everything down for you so you can understand, super friendly and patient when it comes to his students. it is very possible to pass his class with an A. quizzes are 5 questions 10 points each, 2 test, 20 questions each and final is 35 points 20 questions each. and 1 excel project but really easy.

If you're someone who's not good at math, take him. He breaks the material down for you, also waits to make sure you understand, and doesn't make you feel dumb if you keep asking questions. He's a real gem of a professor and really cares. Three exams, small quizzes each week that you covered, and for the textbook hw he looks at your overall score.

This is my favorite class for the fall 2021 semester! The professor and lectures are fantastic. Whether or not you are good at math, you should definitely take him. He explains everything very clearly and also goes over old lectures each week so you do not forget. Homework, discussions, and quizzes are given every week, but they are extremely easy!

Prof Ahmadi is a great professor and he really cares about his students. He posts all the lectures online so if you miss class, nbd. The HW can be tricky because theres things on it that he doesnt teach, but the tests and quizzes are all easy. Weekly discussion posts that are also super easy. Hes a little disorganized but super easy A.

If you can, you HAVE to take Ahmadi's class. He is such a sweet professor and he makes it very easy to understand the material. My one gripe is that he isn't very tech savvy so I recommend taking his in person class. Despite that, his class was the easiest A I've ever gotten. All assignments including tests/quizzes are take home & open note btw

Prof Ahmadi is such a nice man! I love how he is gentle with lectures and makes sure everyone understands, also you can join virtual or in-person either, he isn't that strict on mandatory attendance but his assignments are so easy! Please take his class if you struggle with math, in general, he really tries to help you understand.

Suuuuper easy class! He explains questions and solves them clearly throughout the lectures. The quizzes are like 5 questions, and tests are like 20 questions. Very lenient on being late to zoom classes or absences. The only con is that he doesn't really respond to emails, it's better to ask him any questions you have during class.

Professor Ahmadi is a great math teacher and a very wholesome man :) He explains what he is teaching very clearly and uses examples. He helped many students in class having trouble, and recorded our lectures in case any of us missed class. The quizzes/ tests are easy as long as you pay attention during class and do the homework.

I am an older student and have avoided taking a math class for over 35 years. Professor Ahmadi made math easy. He explained the material clearly, step by step, so that a "non-math" person could understand. He even patiently explained the much-advanced use of a calculator. Assignments deadline is very flexible. The quiz is an open book. Recommended!

Since the beginning of my Major, I knew that I would have to take Math 154 at some point. I was scared but Professor Ahmadi gave me confidence and also made Math so easy to understand, that without him, I do not know how it would have been. I am grateful for his teaching methodologies. Trust this, coming from someone who has been away from Math for years and was petrified of taking Math classes. His lectures are easy to understand and he made me look forward to being in class every Saturday. He is also very understanding if there are scheduling conflicts or emergencies. I took this class online with live lectures. I haven't taken math in 20yrs, and it's difficult for me. He explained everything very thoroughly and always stopped to answer questions. Quizzes and Exams are open notes/book. Homework is not long, and the software/book used gives explanations step by step for problems. Easy A.

Professor Ahmadi is a great teacher and explains all the concepts in a clear manner. All exams are open book/open notes. I highly recommend him to everybody. Only downside is that he isn't as tech savvy, so don't expect quick replies.

I took Professor Ahmadi in the Fall and he was such a nice and humorous professor. Despite being online, he made the lectures tolerable and easily understandable. Graded by discussions, Pearson HW, quizzes, and tests with the tests weighing the most (~80%). The tests are really easy with 20 questions MC. I can't recommend this professor enough.

I love this professor. He is a great lecturer and is very kind and patient when students have questions. The homework is very simple, a couple assignments on Pearson, a quiz, and a discussion every week. He is so helpful and clearly explains everything we need to understand. He is the best math professor I've ever had, take him if you can!

His class was very easy but all you had to do was one assignment per class, the quizzes, and the tests. Make sure you really study for the tests, they're worth about 80% of your grade but are pretty easy. The only downside is that he locks your grades during the semester so you can't see your grade until the end of the semester. Take him!

He is very understanding and kind, and he understands that many of his students are working or have family responsibilities and is very considerate. He explains things well and always helps. Professor Ahmadi does his best to make this class as easy as possible. Just show up to class and take notes, and the exams are open book. He's a very easy grader when it comes to homework from the textbook. If you just give some effort in this class you'll be fine, even if math is your worst enemy.

I'm not great with math and have had severe anxiety with almost every math class I've taken, this is one of the only professors who have made me feel confident in my math skills. His notes are very easy to follow and the quizzes and tests follow the lectures. Just be sure to attend the lectures, do the homework and discussion boards, and study.

If youre looking to pass MTH 154 with an A , take him. Everything is straight forward and to the point. He uploads each class exactly what needs to be done and HW is other things are only due next class, which having him once a week helped a lot.. HW is a bit more difficult but is pretty easy if you look at the examples

Enrolling in Professor Ahmadi's online course at NVCC is you struggle with math. You'll have two tests and a final exam, which is open-note. Homework assignments are completed through mymathlab, discussions are required, and there are no hard due dates for any assignments except tests! Just make sure you don't fall behind. 10/10 professor.

He is very easy. Homeworks can be a little challenging, he uses mymathlab, but if you score more than 70% in each hw, he gives 100%. Quizzes can be taken twice, easy discussion boards, mymathlab hw, and 3 easy tests(lockdown browser without camera). Take notes in class. Overall, great professor!

Prof was very kind about every aspect of his class. Super generous on deadlines, exams, and homework. Yes, exams / final were open note with just a web lockdown format. His lectures were very thorough and he is very straightforward. Prof himself is caring, nice, and wholesome! I wish I took him earlier.

Professor Ahmadi is absolutely amazing!! I have never been good at math in my life, and after one semester with Ahmadi I finally understand all of the basic math that I never got in high school. Assignments are the same every week, very straight forward and easy. Best decision you can make taking him for math!

This professor was great. I was really nervous to take PreCalculus, especially online, but he made it easy to understand.
