Really easy, it was like an elementary school class. I barely read any of the assigned readings and got a high A. Recommended for an easy A.

Gill assigns a lot of reading and writing. She forgets that we are taking other classes. She tells you on the first day there are no points given in her class, she takes a holistic approach to giving grades. So act like you care what she says. Basically s

She's so nice and funny, and although she does give a bit of work, it is well-spaced out. She gives you a clear idea of what will be on the tests.

She is a good teacher! At first I was annoyed with her because she's very particular about assignments, and about noise in the class. But after awhile she became really fun and made the class enjoyable! She tells good stories and is really personable with the class! Just be sure you attend class!

Great teacher, one of my favorites so far at Moorpark. She comes off as being strict in the beginning but really isnt. Very personable and willing to help. Very glad I had her for Eng1C because I dont like english and she made it interesting.

One of the easiest classes you will ever take. There was a lot of group work (and I hate group work) and weekly assignments on current events. Stress-free class and an easy A.

Very passionate. Yeah, she's big on being ontime and not talking during class, but she's still really good. You can tell she loves what she does. She can be funny sometimes, but you have to be serious about studying.

Amazingly insightful teacher. She was very informed in the subject matter. Her foriegn influence is heavy but add a sence of relevance and relfection to the material (old and new testament as literature). Dr. Gill is highly reccommened.

All you have to do is turn in chapter summaries, one research paper, and a take-home final. She has these wonderful stories of her childhood that she applied to the text that just gave that class a sense of applicability...I loved her class and i'd definitely take again

Great teacher. Very sweet and caring with cute Indian accent. Class was simple, most classes we just discussed the readings and took notes. Essays were an easy A (no tests). My only complaint would be that she gave three group essays (out of six) for short three page papers. Likes students to be respectful (on time, no talking, etc).

Dr. Gill is a wonderful and educated professor. She teaches very well and simple.Lots of group work. I took her twice in English M01A & M01C. She loves her student and grades acc. to your work. She allows redos for bad grades. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Like everyone has said, she is fair but firm. Miss a class and expect to be asked about it, and don't be late. No food or drinks except water in class. No feet on desk in front of you. Otherwise just do your readings, write 1 big report during the semester (10 pg doublespace) and final is 2 small take home essays and some vocab. for a fairly easy A

Memorable teacher. Erudite, interesting, and warm. Took it to learn something about literary history, which I did. The reading was time-consuming, but the summary technique used was great practice. Take her if you love literature. I will take a class from her again if possible.

This class was really easy and I though I am not an English fan, I found it enjoyable. If you participate in class she will like you. Essays and projects are not always explained clearly but if you have common sense you will pass.

She is a nice teacher but doesn't really have a set way on grading. She grades on how well she likes you. She basically tells you how to write the essays and if you don't follow it then she grades you horribly. Classes are lectures and she makes them very boring. Notes are hard to keep up with. Not the best teacher in my book.

She was such a nice woman with such a passion for this subject. We usually would always get off topic. 5 current events for homework each week, a couple in class group projects, a research paper, and an in class essay for the final. Such an easy class, but very boring. Stay awake and youll get an A :)

She is very passionate about the subject and is very expressive. she cares deeply about the students but gets too personally into their business, like if they dont attend class she asks so many personal questions. all the class is is reading and discussing too deeply into the readings. nice teacher though.

i would NEVER take a class from her again. yes she is very nice, but cannot grade a paper for the life of her. she tells you EXACTLY how to write the paper and somehow when you get it back its nothing better than a C or B+.. i think her class was soo easy and i never worried about it, but she still gave me a low grade. she puts you on the spot ever

Take this class!! If you follow directions and take notes, this class is a breeze. She literally writes your first few assignments for you, if you pay any attention. All journals and papers must be in the format she gave you for full credit, but it is not hard or unreasonable. Pay attention, and follow directions and you will get an A!

She is very knowledgable about the New Testament as Literature class. Attendance is pretty mandatory (do NOT be late). Easy A as long as you show up, participate occasionally, and do assignments. She LITERALLY writes your main paper for you. Follow all her instructions, and you will do fine.

Such a sweetheart. A lot of in-class discussions, but it's usually the same thing every time so it gets a little repetitive. You have to do 5 controversial issues a week for the first few months (easy grades). 1 research paper and a final in-class essay. Easy class, just not that stimulating.

She is a very good teacher to take even if you do not like english. There is a weekly turn in of 5 controversial issues and your opinion on them. So if you do not like to do an hour of work per week do not take her. She grades them easily and you can turn them in late. If you are absent it is fine just do the weekly assignments and youll pass

If you are on time and participate in discussions, Dr Gill is nice. As far as the class itself, it's very monotonous and structured more like a high school class. You will not write any original ideas, just learn to copy her word for word and you'll do fine. Wish I could say I learned something, but it was very unchallenging.

Dr. Gill is a perfect angle sent from Heaven above! the sweetest professor in the entire world!!! She truly cares about all her student! Even when she wasn't my teacher anymore she helped me! Easy teacher who cares about her students. Just restate her opinions and pay attention to what she says in class. There's eight papers (and that's all you do) so make them count! Two are group essays and the final consists of writing definitions. If you're late or absent, expect to be asked why and sit in your seat "properly" or she'll ask you to.

Dr. Gill is by far one of the best professors that I have come across. She is there for you 100% and will help you in any way she possibly can. When it comes to essays, she will help you out and give the class days to just work on them and she will go through your individual one and help you. Amazing woman.

This was a very interesting class. I enjoyed it the entire year and really thought it helped me grow in my writing ability and my faith as well. There was a lot of writing though and a lot of late nights. You don't need the textbook, just make sure to bring any bible or laptop, and you will be fine.

Lectures were interactive - you must participate! The weekly writing assignment took a lot of time, and she is not an "easy" grader. You have to work for your grade. On one project I asked to fix my mistakes for a better grade and she let me. Ask for help and she is there. Do not skip class! Sweet lady who cares about her students.

By far the best English teacher I've had. Not only are her lectures amazing, but it's probably the easiest A you'll ever get. There's one research paper for the whole semester and that's about it with a few assignments here and there. Basically you go to class and discuss cool topics

Basic english class though, not difficult if you're a decent writer and come to class. Follow directions, respect her, and be responsible and it's an easy A.

I took this class over the summer and it was the best. We did write a lot of papers but you could write them with a group of classmates and turn it in as one paper. you can BS anything because you turn in printed copies. The KEY to this class is to turn in a rough draft bc she will revise all of it and tell you what to change and write. Easy A!!!

Such a sweet person. She is caring and is always there to help. Just bring a draft of whatever paper you are writing and she will basically do it for you! There is homework and there are papers, but it is still very, very minimal. Also, generally fun topics in class discussions. Does care about attendance and participation, join the discussions!!

She is super fun. Class is pretty much mandatory, going to class helps your papers. I barely tried on the papers got a B+, and then final bumped me to an A. She is super nice, if you missed a paper, or something she will let you turn it in a day or so late. A lot of "little" papers that add up. Just show up and participate, easy A.

She is amazing and very understanding, she is so passionate about her job. if you do not turn in an essay she will hunt you down until you do and will let you turn it in late. She is very strict about punctuality and attendance. She is a hard grader but she will help you and let you redo papers. would definitely take again.

Caring professor, genuinely wants students to succeed. Participation is a must every class. She randomly calls on people. 4 essays and a couple of text exercises. Final is an essay done in class. The professor will help with essays and gives great feedback. Overall, a relatively painless experience.
