HARD AS HELL, STARTED WITH 40 PLUS STUDENTS AND AFTER THE 1ST EXAM ONLY 10 REMAINED....SHE GOES REALLY FAST, DOESNT EXPLAIN AND IF U ASK A QUESTION SHE WILL GIVE U AN ATTITUTE AND SAY U SHOULD KNOW IT! NO CURVES! 4 EXAM TOTAL, STAY AWAY FROM HER! ONLY 3 PPL GOT LIKE 3 PPL GOT A'S IN THAT CLASS AND EVERYONE ELSE GOT C'S OR D'S.TAKE SOME1ELSE INSTEAD

Worst professor you could ever think about, she told us to drop the class the first 1 1/2months...is attacking students personally. I would NEVER ever drop a class she made me do it b/c only 3 out of the starting 40 passed the first 2 exams!!!Requires all of your time and you will still get a D!!!Don't ask questions she might scream at u in class!!

you want to pass? then take someone else. she usually fails 80 - 85% of the class. she cant teach.

DO NOT TAKE HER!!! I am trying to save your GPA. She cannot teach to save her life . Your grade is based on four tests. No homework and no extra credit. If you are taking her and you cannot get out, good luck.

By far one of the worst teachers I have ever had in college.She goes way too fast,and she assumes everyone knows calc by 2nd grade. If you want extra help during office hours, her office is a complete disaster and she will not break anything down for you. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU WANT TO PASS MATH.

Very difficult to understand. She is unclear and vague. One of the worst teachers i've had. Save your GPA and do NOT take her.

This is one of the worst professors out there. Will not help when you go to office hours, will only make you more stressed. Will embarass you in class if you don't know the answer. Does not explain anything. Failed me and I have never failed a class before. Goes out of her way to make your life hard. Takes questions directly from book!

WORST PROFESSOR EVER. She never explains ANYTHING clearly, talks in a big accent and very fast pace. There was one time that most of the class wanted her to slow down, but she just kept go on and on and on. Tests are not so easy, she expects you to know EVERYTHING.

Fakes Indian accent to make course harder. Teaches so fast that she makes many mistakes every lecture. Lies to make herself seem smart. Never answers questions. Completely incomprehensible in her speech. Indian accent gets thicker as the material gets harder so watch out! Worst professor in the Milky Way and very unfunny. If cannot avoid, transfer.

The WORST professor I have ever taken. Passed me with a D after making me cry twice in class because she screamed at me. Does not help. Cell phone goes off constantly. Spent hours in tutoring lab and got no where. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolutely the worst professor I've had. I'm not great with math and she made the subject absolutely unbearable. Did absolutely everything I could not to fail. Had I read these reviews before signing up, definitely wouldn't have taken her course. Absolutely avoid

If you want to get yelled at take this course.

by far the most miserable human being i have ever encountered. completely discouraging to students that dont understand material. confusing presentation of information. If the world needed an ambassador to satan she would make a great candidate.

She is the worst teacher a Pace University. SWITCH OUT OF HER CLASS AS SSON A POSSIBLE! She will announce everyone's test grade to the whole class to praise passing students and embarrass failing students. When I didn't answer a question correctly she said, "why do you come here?" in front of everyone. She finds joy in failing people.

If you struggle with math do not not take this course with her. It is very fast paced and she won't review any past material. If you ask for help, instead of putting in any extra work to help you understand she will yell at you and tell you to drop out of the class.

She uses yelling and embarrassment as a form of teaching. No professor should ever be allowed to raise their voice at a student and especially in front of the entire class. Do not take this class.

STAY AWAY! Worse teacher I have ever had. She did not have office hours, told us not to talk with our peers about the material, and told us to not to get a tutor. I had to teach myself calculus. She would publicly humiliate/call out students out for not knowing a question she asked. She made math harder than it already is. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!!!

This instructor is terrible. She just rambles on the board, very quickly and berates her students. She constantly tells people when they don't know an answer that "the day is much too nice" and suggest they leave. Stay away from this person. The person is more difficult than the material.

Lets all students retake quizzes if they do the homework. Grades the homework incredibly strictly and will not allow retake if it isn't perfectly done, so she just pretends to allow retakes when in reality it isn't worth your time to do. DROP THIS CLASS if you get it, it gets much harder come the fifth or sixth week.

Did not care to answer the question i would ask after class

a ticking time bomb of a teacher. you never know when she's going to pick on you and embarrass you. she offers extra credit and test corrections sometimes. not a class for people who aren't good at math

As a first year student who needs a good professor to help me understand the curriculum better; she was awful. She would teach class and skip important parts, do work and then say "oh this is what we just did!" Truly didn't care if you understood it or not. DO NOT TAKE FINITE WITH HER. I didn't believe it when I read these comments, but trust me.

Most stressful and hardest class ever. She did explain the lectures but she assigned a lot of hw, a quiz every week that you didn't have time to keep up with the lessons. didn't miss one class, did all hw&the projects and she gave me a D. would never take her again

Worst professor/teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Morning classes with her are literally torture. She is an extremely hard grader and will embarrass students regularly in class for asking minor questions. If you are a freshmen drop her class IMMEDIATELY it will ruin your whole impression of the school. Also assigns an absurd amount of hw.

Do not take her, unless you are good at math. She does give you a lot of resources which you can use for your exams. However, will humiliate you if you ask questions in class and is very strict on how she wants things done. She okay... but if you have the option DONT TAKE HER!

DO NOT believe the positive reviews on here. It is SDG writing them herself trying to salvage her reputation. She will not clarify any of your questions and would rather you fail the class than to take the actual time to help you understand. Please believe me when I say she is detrimental to academic career. Drop her course please save your gpa!

One of the worst professors I've ever had. If you have her as your professor my recommendation would be to drop the class or switch to a different professor. She was mean and rude to everyone one in the class and has no problem picking favorites. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!!

By far one of the worst professors at Pace University. She is incredibly impatient, berating, and unprofessional. I wouldn't be surprised if the positive reviews on here are written by SDG herself. I recommend you avoid her class as best as you can and MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETE THE COURSE EVALUATION if you end up stuck in her class.

This professor is very harsh with grading. She encourages questions but will humiliate you whenever you do. She wants things done her way, making it impossible to learn in a way that works for you or is best for you. The way she treats students makes it feel as if your back in high school, her attitude comes off as extremely passive-aggressive.

Her lectures were absolutely terrible. Her idea of teaching was assigning multiple hour long videos to watch and take notes off of, then to do a quiz afterwards. It was so hard to learn material because she makes zero sense. Does provide a lot of extra credit and opportunities to redo work.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER!! If you can take another teacher, please take them. Yo will regret taking her class. Such a tough grader! Half of the students in my class dropped her class in the middle of the semester, the other half who stayed either got Ds or failed!

Absolutely horrible professor. She is not at all accommodating, and her lecture format is inefficient. Her grading is irrational, and you will be shot down if you even attempt to question it. She will not listen to her students, and as such a large amount of them drop the class very fast.

This professor is the worst one I have had by far. She is unclear on work criteria and instructions, is inflexible, rarely in office, and not accommodating. We rarely meet with her. I do not understand a single thing so I have to teach myself the course material. Please look for another professor who cares about students.

This professor simply does not care about her students, you're encouraged to ask questions but when you do, she just tells you that you should know the answer. The learning environment she creates is one that is hostile and impossible to learn in. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR AT ALL COSTS.

Dr. SDG is the least accommodating professor I have had. I went to office hours to discuss my struggles and she told me that I need a bigger screen. She would not help me through any of the problems, she just told me over and over that it's my fault I don't understand and she can't do anything because I am choosing to not understand.

Do not take this professor, people either drop/withdraw or fail. You are humiliated if you ask questions during class and humiliated if you don't. The learning environment is the epitome of hostile and you will be willing to let go of your financial aid in order to drop this class.

I am only a week into this winter course and already frustrated with this professor. She gave me a zero for my homework because I didn't include my name in the file name. DO NOT take her class, you will most likely fail.

She has to be the worst teacher and most difficult I've had to ever work with. She assigns roughly 4-5 lecture videos which are each an hour long. Then homework, plus the bs study guides that take forever to complete. Oh, and want to focus on the tests and study, forget about it, homework is still assigned the day of the test.

A bad communicator, January Intersession course was messy & a lack of explanation in the long instructional zoom sessions & videos. Idk how I passed; no time to ever focus on the work/prepare for the weekly exams due dates back to back. During intersession, I had a family/medical emergency, was not accommodating I do not recommend this professor.

Horrible class layout. Taught most of Calc 1 to myself through other professors on YouTube. Her 5 hour online lectures that she forces you to watch every week aren't even good enough to teach you any topic in calc. She is also very rude when you ask any type of question. Take any other professor but her, you will regret it.

This class was the worst I have experienced, and she is not good at explaining the material. Everything is thrown at you with little to no teaching. If you can avoid her as your professor, please do. Her lack of teaching makes the course even more difficult than it should be.

I suggest avoiding taking this professor. My GPA has suffered because of it. I had good grades in all my other classes but this course brought my gpa down. Find a different professor or pass a CLEP exam.

NEVER TAKE HER CLASS. Leaves a lot of homework, has lecture videos that are 1 hour long each (up to 5 videos per week), and is very rude. She will call you out if you are struggling in class. Had the hardest time in calculus because of her.

currently taking her class for the fall semester and all i can say is that I HATE IT. too much work for a class that only meets for one week. she doesn't even teach the lectures properly and relies on long video lectures that is followed my millions of homework..

One of the worst professors I've ever taken in terms of flexibility, grading, and help. Horrible teacher experience especially when it comes to the harshness of grading.

THE WORST!! Compared to my peers, she criticizes me heavily and don't get me started on her grading. She continuously knocks down my work when other professors I've shown agree that my grade should be a 100. Listen to her ratings and note NOT to take this class or anything Shamita Gupta teaches. 0 stars!

Dr. Gupta's lectures consisted solely of online videos she would post online which made it extremely difficult to actually learn the material required to do well in the course. Her one saving grace was the extra chance of retaking the exams afterwards, however this required a lot more work to be completed, please do not take her class.

Dropped the class and had to retake for summer. Criticized me for not having alot of knowledge in math. She was the only professor available for a certain time, I regret not listening to reviews. Do not take her!

She talks like AI. I think she literally might be a robot. The entire class is taught through her videos; She doesn't actually teach you. The math department at Pace is notoriously bad, but I mean wow. This takes the cake!

Professor Gupta is not professional and childish, she rarely responds to emails, does not care about helping her students succeed and does not show up to do her job. She expects students to meet her standards when she puts no effort in her work.

This professor is the worst math professor I've ever met. The only reason I am taking calculus class now is because of this other math professor Patrick Kim who turned out to be the best math professor I've ever met. Funny how the worst and the best math professors teach the same class. A lot of students agree with this. Gupta is just the worst

Avoid this professor at all costs. Extremely unaccommodating, with a hostile teaching style that makes learning nearly impossible. The workload is heavy, and the grading is irrational. Utilize resources like unstuckstudy to manage the difficulty, as the professor provides little support.

I should review professors more often because I can safely say that not only am I bad at math I put my effort into it. And I thought doing math was difficult but no it's actually the professor. The lecture videos were kind of helpful but apparently the questions I answered are still wrong according to this professor and etc. Would not recommend.

The professor gives excessive amounts of work. Just wait for some other professor to take the course.

This professor made me hate math more than I already did. My blood boils just thinking about this class and having to attend her classes. I genuinely feel miserable here. The workload is insane; she acts like we only have her class for the semester, and she doesn't even teach it herself. Her explanations are useless as is this class.

I wouldn't recommend this professor at all. She only taught us through these super long videos that would sometimes be 3 hours long. I had to teach myself everything. When she did come into class like once every few weeks she was always very hostile. Overall, if you can take another professor just save yourself the time and energy.

Extremely unhelpful. Refuses to explain errors or go over problems, just tells you to “review the material.” Symbols are often illegible, making assignments frustrating. When asked for clarification, she dismissed concerns and claimed no one else had issues; several classmates disagreed. Avoid if you value support.

Shamita is possibly the most rudest and self centered person hired by pace when I deal with her I want to quit everything I work for

She is very snobby if you don't get some questions right and will be unhelpful if you try to ask clarifying questions for anything. If you know that you struggle in math and want someone who can actually TEACH you the content instead of simply teaching yourself, take literally ANYONE ELSE.
