Dr. Deyo is a GREAT professor. Yes, she does require work to be done ontime & there is a lot of work. If you are not up for learning and being resposible for yourself then yes she might be hard. We are here to learn and not slack, cause when taking business classes you have to have motivation and organization, especially for online classes.

SO helpful! Dr. Deyo wants everyone to pass her course and if you put effort in, she will make sure you succeed. Second class with her and I love her!

I have had her for several classes and would highly recommend her. She is thorough with the material and very helpful. She makes learning interesting and not dry. She brings the subject out and understandable. She definately cares for her students.

I recently had a meeting with her to practice my interviewing techniques and was thrilled by her willingness to help, even after I graduated. Awesome teacher. Easy to do well if you put in the effort. There is a slightly large work load but it's not unbearable. I screwed up and missed an assignment. Professor Deyo called me on the phone at the end of the semester and gave me the opportunity to do it as it significantly affected my grade. Would definitely take again.

Dr. Deyo is the sweetest, most understanding woman. She's also very knowledgeable and professional. I had her for Business Writing and Business Law, and experienced HUGE learning take-away in both those classes. Business Law with her is the best though, because she's a lawyer...a daarn good one too, it seems! She's worth the extra work she gives.

Fabulous teacher!This law class is not an easy class, however she gives you tools to study. WATCH her Chapter video first before doing quizzes and assignments. It REALLY helped me receive better grades. Be concise and dont procrastinate. She's flexible but the information is not. It's a complex course, so dont slack off. She's a lovely person.

If you go to Daytona State College, Dr. Shana Deyo is the greatest professor you could ever take. She is very sweet and caring. If you fail her class it is because you are lazy and want to fail. I took professor Deyo 2 semesters in a row. She is an awesome professor, but this is not an easy "A" class. She has specific instructions on how assignments should be completed, so it's extremely important to follow the syllabus. She is a fair grader, and gives feedback to help you improve. No weekly discussion post, & you get 2 attempts on quiz.

Enjoyed my experience in Dr. Deyo's class. I found the class to be very easy, although, I am a seasoned writer. Dr. Deyo was quick with responses and grading; very easy to work with. I do find group projects (as required in this class) a challenge in online settings. Dr. Deyo, however, was very understanding & accommodating.

I took this class online. The course does entail a lot of legal jargon, and the concepts can get a bit complex. The class was the usual mix of reading and writing assignments. Can't say enough good things about this instructor. She produces video lectures for each chapter that are very helpful. Great teacher ; wish she taught all my classes!

Professor Deyo was a god send this semester. While I had two other classes, her GEB3212 class lighted my work load and the assignments were enjoyable. She is very positive and encourages questions. Would highly recommend this class if you are balancing more work intensive classes in a semester.

Shana Deyo was a breath of fresh air in a very overwhelming semester. While many other professors give, what I would deem, busy work, Dr. Deyo gets to the point of the material and helps reinforce it through practical application. Would happily take her again!

This teacher has a fetish for assigning copious amounts of busy work and over-grading it. I took 10 credit hours in one (half) semester, and her course had more busy work than my other two combined. It gets old.

I took BUL3130 as an online course, and was definitely challenging. There was a lot of information to cover. Dr. Dyeo posts weekly videos and those are GREAT, very helpful! Also, you can take the quizzes twice. Three chances for Extra Credit. APA is important in her grading. An A is definitely possible, but you are going to work for it.

Only a handful of assignments, not a lot of reading, and no test! Only one or two quizzes and a group project. Very easy 7 week course all online & simple!

Deyo was extremely helpful and she enjoys her job which helps because she makes class interesting. She responded quickly to emails and even gave my class her personal number to contact her. I personally cant wait to take her again!

My favorite professor I've taken thus far. Dr. Deyo is hilarious and is constantly cracking jokes in class, she keeps it real no BS, and like the class she teaches usually less is more. I really enjoyed this class. Being a law class, I thought the content would be dry and boring, but the assignments were very interesting. There is I a lot of material, but Dr. Deyo organizes it well; even though the content was difficult, it still felt manageable. If you follow the syllabus, you'll do well in the class.

Professor Deyo clearly outlines grading criteria, gives great feedback, and if you turn your work in early the chance to correct your mistakes.

Dr. Deyo's class is simple and to the point. She gives a few assignments, no discussions, and no quizzes. She does give two simple projects, one of which is a group project. I loved the simplicity of her course while still learning a great deal. She is a great professor with a light workload. Would take again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Deyo provides a clear outline of work to complete, with not a lot of busy work. I feel like she didn't have high expectations of the students, especially when working in teams. She told me that most teams receive 100 on all three of their tasks, really? I didn't feel like I learned a lot, which is why I wouldn't take her again, easy A though.

Dr. Deyo's law class is one of the more difficult classes you will take but as someone who was clueless of law before taking this. I will say this is a great introductory class to take from someone who knows the law better then probably anyone. this was my favorite class I have taken in education, and even the homework is fun. Take this class!

Great teacher. Uses textbook but barely.

I have taken Dr. Deyo twice and it was great both times. She is accessible and gives good feedback. The only regret I have is that she is not teaching any of the remaining classes that I need.

The course outline is extremely detailed & explained clearly. Announcements are posted twice a week to make sure you're on top of your work & always give clear-cut instructions on what you should have done & how to submit work. In the 7 week course, there's plenty of time to complete assignments. She also responds very quickly to emails. 5 stars!

Class was decent, not too much work, not too little. Teacher was awesome. She gives great feedback on your assignments. I am purposely taking another course with her because she's awesome.

She is hard grader but all you have to do is finish your work on time. she takes so many points off if you even miss one day. but you can still pass her class.

Dr. Deyo uses lots of tools to help students succeed. The book is a great reference book for any career. There is one group project which she monitors on the discussion board. I love the peer review. We have the opportunity to post our work on a discussion board. I hope to have more her again.

Literally the best teacher i've had since I started at DSC, I wish I knew this before I took my other classes that she teaches. She actually keeps you engaged instead of lecturing heavily, her philosophy entails application of principles instead of memorization which important. There's no more multiple choice test in the real work force. Awesome!

I recommend that you take Dr. Deyo every chance you get. I've never had a more personable, intentional, self-giving, knowledgable, professor. We have been communicating through email/text through my entire interview process as she advises me on attire and communication in the workplace. It's comforting to have a professor you know is all for you.

Professor Deyo is a great professor! She posts a lot of resources for students to succeed in the class. We have a textbook, but her weekly videos summarize the chapters very well. In addition to that, she always gives feedback with every assignment and posts model examples for every assignment so students are able to improve their work by example.

Supposed to be a hybrid, but was made an online class due to Covid-19. Dr. Deyo is one of best instructors that I've had. She gives you exact instructions of how she wants to see her assignments and takes off points if you don't meet the requirements. Read the directions & you will pass. No tests, no book, a few papers and discussions. Worth taking

Dr. D is the perfect teacher to start your BAS program. You cannot ask for more clarity. You know exactly what is expected, she gives examples; as far as you follow instructions and do the homework, you are bound to do well. The class is demanding; but, if you really want to learn, you couldn't ask for better. You will surely improve as a student.

In her classes, she's tough, but flexible. She gives a damn about her students succeeding, but she expects you to put forth the effort, so that flexibility is something earned, not necessarily *given.* With that said, I've never had a more available professor in my life. When she puts her cell number on the syllabus, that lifeline is very real.

Dr. D had very clear expectations for her class and was easy to reach if you had questions. She does mark you off for grammar errors and expects professional work. I would take her again.

There is a lot of reading and writing in this class because it is an upper level legal analysis class. Dr. Deyo provides all the tools to be successful. She grades assignments within a day usually and provides detailed feedback. The feedback advise is a guide to better understanding how to successfully complete assignments. Fantastic Professor.

I was very impressed with Dr. Deyo's class and effort. She responded to texts literally within 10 minutes, had her class set up very nicely, gave great feedback, posted videos explaining assignments, provided all the resources necessary to get a good grade, made assignments engaging and interesting. She even provides her cell # for after-hours emergencies. Review the punctuation worksheets. Correct punctuation is crucial in her papers. Her grades are fair if you show you are trying.

Dr. Deyo is among the best of professors at DSC! This is a writing class - an important skill needed in the workforce. The writing assignments in class are often used on-the-job. This was a really enjoyable class with Dr. Deyo. The coursework was very reasonable (Given it was a Fall A class) and there were no more than 1-2 assignments each week. Each project's requirements were clearly stated and easy to follow. Also, the group project was really fair, as she only graded the top 3 parts of the project. Take her!
