Terrible teacher. Not at all good at her job. I would strongly advise she look at another career. One of the worst experiences I've had in my academic career.

Would not recommend her. Not very organized, and VERY slow responding to emails. Do not take her class.

I also took an online class with her. Not a very good teacher. Pretty rude in her emails. Definitely would not recommend her.

I don't know why, but for some reason Professor Sampson just does not know how to respond to emails. She's terrible at it. Not a good teacher at all, rude and impatient. Do NOT take her if you're not good at math.

Professor Sampson is always late! Much of the time she spends talking about irrelevant information and assigning TONS of work, 1 homework assignment, 1 Quiz and 2 other assignments, and in-order to take the test, you must score a minimum of an 80% on the previous assignments. This is the worst math class I have ever participated in.

Do not take her if you do not have to. Probably worst professor I have ever had and does not teach well at all.

Do NOT take her if you are a visual learner. All she does is go over what's in the book and makes you write 1,000 definitions and goes over 1 or 2 examples then expects you to pass the quizzes and test . She made math a lot harder then needed to be !

AWFUL - one of worst profs ever had (in >40 courses). VERY disorg, late w quizzes, late w grading. Smart alec / disrespectful toward students. ZERO flexibility w grading. Answer is 100% right or 100% wrong. e.g. My answer: 4.566 (WRONG); her answer: 4.567 I get straight As in all my other classes (calc, physics etc) I got a low D in this class.

she never puts in ANYTHING! Its the final week of the semester and the only time she put in grades was in the first 2-3 weeks of the semester. She is super disorganized and when it comes to asking her questions via email she will never respond. If you plan to take her study really hard because shes a horrible chem teacher.

Attempts to rewrite everything youve learned in highschool. No matter if you get the question right or wrong, if its not the exact process she told you, its wrong. Is not easy to talk to or ask for help. Runs over in class many times and makes you run your notebook thin with examples that wont help you on tests.

Im about to graduate from CSM and Ive taken a lot of classes here and she is by far the worst teacher Ive ever had. Very rude and unprofessional when I asked her questions. VERY unclear with due dates and just really rude.

I would not recommend this professor at all. Many of my classmates dropped her online course. She Makes assignments very difficult when they are not needed to be. If the assignment is not done her way its automatically wrong. Also very unprofessional when giving announcements, as she complains about the assignments she has to grade.

AWFUL!!!! Never take any of her classes. Doesn't teach well and is very RUDE. I had a meeting with her and she didn't even show up. Then complained about it. Never puts in grades so you never know how well you are doing in her class.

Worst professor Ive ever had. She sets students up to fail and has unrealistic expectations for the class. Test and homework heavy and does not explain things well in class. Would not recommend.

Stay away the previous post for MTH2300 was a part what she (Sampson) wrote as a warning to students looking to take her class. Horrible teaching methods.

She expects you to know things that she never even teaches you. I get that it's an online class that is fast-paced but in the first week, she failed most papers for not doing it the way she wanted - the way she never specified. Also very unprofessional in her announcements, openly insulting students.

I took Professor Sampson online. Do not sign up with her. The homework was decent, you learned more from doing the assignments, then actually listening to her. She was absolutely rude and nasty to the class. She would upload assignments late and expect the due date to be the same. But never gave us a break. HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! Had to drop the class

Grades horribly. My answer wrote .4567 or 45.67% she marked every single question i had wrong because i wrote or and then a % , even though the .4567 was the correct answer. I received a 0% on many assignments even though the correct answer was there. She has very unrealistic expectations and is not environmentally friendly.

Sampson is hilarious, nice, accessible outside the classroom, and she really cares about her students. However, she has unachievable standards for people who are busy with work and taking other classes. Her grading is rough, she gives no partial credit and that adds up and she does not explain the material well. I would not recomend her to anyone.

My experience in this class was appalling. I had her During this pandemic she was very rude and it was absolutely miserable taking this class. When emailing her to work things out she was not descriptive on what she wanted and quick to point fingers. She also had an extreme work overload. My advice DO NOT take this class with this professor.

Professor Sampson is outright rude and will degrade you in the mandatory discussion groups you must post in every week. She doesnt like to explain things even though she is the professor. Avoid her at all costs, it will be hard as theres not many other professors but stay away from Professor Sampson!

I took the 6 six week online course. I wish I dropped it. Prof. Sampson took off points for not formatting correctly when she didnt tell the class to do it a certain way (specifically confidence intervals) - unhelpful on solving problems-and doesnt actually teach. You'll learn through YouTube, she doesnt even provide her own powerpoint decks.

Prof. Sampson never taught the class, only provided you tube links, and then expected the class to do the work her specific way without fully explaining herself. Incredibly rude to students on discussion posts. Never responded to me when asking for help. Worst experience I've ever had and the first class I've ever dropped. Save yourself the anguish

I understand the idea of professors being strict, Sampson is on a whole other level. The class isnt only difficult, she makes it more difficult than it already is. I laugh sometimes cause there are other difficult math classes than this one & other professors are making it easier. Not gonna lie, she has a disgusting attitude. She gets a -5 rating.

Shes very unprofessional, condescending and boarders on verbally abusive to her students. Very homework heavy, yet the homework hardly counts towards your grade. Your exams will determine if you pass or not. She tries to validate her behavior by saying she just tells it like it is. However, she takes it to a whole new level. DONT take her class

Im currently in this class, and I spend upwards of SEVEN HOURS when I do a chapter for the class, just for her to not grade the entirety of my homework. She sets you up for failure in this way. She doesnt provide clarity, and is rather. She PILES the work on. Stats is a hard class, but theres no reason for it to be made harder.

Professor Sampson was the hardest professor I've ever had. She doesn't give clear instructions. She isn't helpful when you need it. She piles on the work instead of helping you gain clarification. I asked for help and she only offered that I dropped the class instead of helping me. I would'nt take her again and wouldn't tell others to either.

Terrible teacher. She is extremely rude, grades extremely harshly, and doesn't teach at all. She will make you learn stuff from the book then say you are not suppose to learn it that way. She grades WAY too harshly and wants everything specifically her way. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! AVOID AT ALL COST!

This class was made harder than it should of been. Learned everything from a YouTube teacher that she links in course. If you have a lot going on or are taking several other classes I don't recommend this class the homework load is heavy. She also gets very defensive when you ask a question.

Professor Sampson is scathingly rude and fails to thoroughly instruct content. On one occasion, I spoke my confusion during a lecture. Instead of actually helping me, she snapped at me and suggested that I drop out of class. Her method of instruction is rushed and sloppy. Don't enroll in her class. I dodged a bullet by dropping out of her section.

DO NOT TAKE! Lots of assignments, lack of communication, and no extra credit. You are on your own to teach yourself and guess how she expects you to solve the problems. Take in person and 15 weeks if you are willing to endure this dreadful class!

Professor Sampson was by far the worst professor I've ever had. The work was impossible to complete. Don't forget a comma you will get an F. Would not recommend her to anyone. I definitely WOULDNT recommend this teacher to anyone. Ive never dropped a class before and I hadnt even started the class and I could already tell it was going to be terrible. She sent very rude and condescending emails. I just wish teachers would realize if they were a bit nicer and respected their students, they would receive the same.

I was in her class for only 1 week and transferred to another. With in that week she had been extremely rude to me via her private message board. I’m too old for someone to behave this way to me especially if I am paying my own money to be here. When I dropped the class she sent me a rude email questioning me about it.

Overwhelming amount of work, not very approachable, can be rude, not open to just answering questions, and did i mention the work load?!

Professor Sampson referred to her students as "peasants" and herself as "the queen" she called it fun. Whenever somebody would contact her about a concern she would post about it to the whole class somewhat making fun of their concerns. She would laugh at the concerns pretty much borderline verbal abuse. Put students down in the group messages.

I should have dropped it the first week when I saw red flags. She calls herself the queen and we are her peasants. She is so aggressive and blunt. Make sure you watch her PERSONAL youtube channel or else u will fail. She was so unprofessional, inappropriate, &setting up zoom help at 11pm. GO take it at Howard Community college.

She's extremely blunt. She stretches out vital information into long announcements and expects you to read every single word to not miss it. Stay ahead since she doesn't accept late work even if you're struggling with personal strife. Assignments will be nitpicked when graded. Pointless group assignments. Doesn't inspire to learn. Not recommended.

I have taken many math classes and love math but this professor made me question everything. Immediately, the red flags are obvious. She is very rude and her expectations are insane - she'll give you a 60% for missing a comma in your answer. Once, I emailed her for assistance and she said, "I don't know how to make this clearer." Do not take her.

Professor Sampson does NOT want you to succeed in her class. Prepare to do an incredible amount of work. I had to post in discussion 5 DAYS of the week, online assignments due 4-6 nights of the week, AND pics of written textbook work due at the end of EVERY week. So horrid. She called us peasants and showed us absolutely no respect. Somehow passed.

Honestly wish I had dropped out when I had the chance, and not because of the content. She didn't teach and was disrespectful to her students. Only reason I passed was because I had taken a stats class in high school. DO NOT take her if you can avoid it. She gives work like her class is the only thing your doing and doesn't answer questions well.

Complete trash for a teacher. Talks down to everyone and doesnt seem to know how to teach. Ive always been good at math but if you do any problems a different way than what she wants she will go back and mark it wrong even if it was right. She went back on my mid term and finals and changed correct answers to wrong. Dont know how thats even legal.

Listen to the reviews! I thought that even though the reviews were bad I could still pass and I could not. She does not care if you pass either, she will just email you and remind you to drop the class because you can't pass anyway.

Avoid at all cost. Out of a class of 30 only 5 stuck around and they told me later that only around 3 of them passed. The stress the professor puts on you is massive and she does not care about you. I took this class with a different teacher later and passed with an A. She does not know how to teach and will not help you.

Do not take this professor. My advisor had warned me that many students complain about her class but I figured it was just because it was hard.Yes the class is very hard but she is not a good professor. She does not explain things and is very strict.

Extremely difficult. Doesn't give exam reviews or study guides. Homework everyday. I should have dropped it. I wish I would have read the reviews first. Didn't open preview week but had preview week homework, doesn't give all formulas need for exam on formula sheet. Intentionally makes it harder. Please avoid her class!

PLEASE LISTEN TO ME, THIS CLASS IS TERRIBLE! Your grade is based off of tests, it's like most of your grade, those tests are some of the hardest I've ever taken in my life. The platform she uses for the class work does not directly mimic the types of questions you will see on the exam. You can literally excel in the course work and fail the class.

Lots and lots of homework. Homework everyday is unbearable sometimes. If you are not good at math and have never been do not take this professor the only reason I'm passing is because my friend is a statistics major at another college. If it weren't for them I'd be failing. Her videos are decent but they are too long and have too much information.

Absoutley the worse professor i have ever had, whatever work she has us do relates nothing towards the exams we take. Incredibly vague on annoucnments, said exam 2 was gonna one of the easier exams??? Watched her videos everytime and hardley learned anything, had to teach myself through other videos. Never answers emails, if does, extremely rude.
