Thanks to COVID-19 this was the first time I have EVER taken a class online. I was Uber worried and stressed about how my final year of apprenticeship was going to finish. Shane thanks a million, you make learning online enjoyable. Your class was the easiest to TUNE IN to. Thanks again .

The Best Instructor at SAIT The school itself is terrible. Tools are old and outdated. Gas lab appliances are ancient,the residential shop does not appear safe . Food choices and parking are sorely lacking.

His ability to involve real world experience with the class lessons online are truly amazing .I like the changes to the music each day. I cant wait to get back to work now. Be safe.

1st, Great instructor. He does a great job with what he has to work with. A+ 2nd, crappy big city school ,tools are old and outdated. (being from a small prairie town I was expecting so much more) F 3rd , food choices are horrible , prices are even worse.4$ for water , you should be ashamed! F 4th , parking is missing. F

Thanks DOC! You are great !If you dont attend class you will fail. The people in my class that complained the most were the people not attending online classes. I had solid 90s with my online class and scored a 76 on my govt exam. Anyone that was a 75 % or less will fail the government exam for sure. My study mates also 90s scored 73 and 70%.

When I grow up , I want to be like Shane.

First of all I learned a lot.Shane is an Awesome teacher. I feel sorry for the complete idiots and losers in my class he has to deal with daily Some of the people in my class were complaining about absolutely everything,including the water taste and the quality of the toilet paper. Shane was great ,my classmates were absolutely privileged/spoiled.

SAIT lets anyone pass plumbing. I just spent 2 mos ,listening to 12 complainers and babies from the covid gen. i would like my spoiled, complaining whiners to give me my money back ,the losers disputed everything , even drawing in other teachers into disputes that just prove how wrong and slow the Covid gen is. GREAT JOB SHANE Classmate = scumbags

The guy is amazing. I heard on the job about This instructor at SAIT that teaches plumbing. After the first week I was like wow. Every class was fun. Even the classes when my classmates wanted to argue . He welcomed the challenges and corrected them quickly, and to the point. Some people have a gift his is transferring plumbing code knowledge

Show up to class on time , Shane takes attendance early in class and lets us to work at our own pace. This is my favourite classes to have. He is kind, caring ,understanding . He is good at his job and helped me pass this year. This was a relaxed however , fast paced class. I fell behind on a couple assignments but he helped me through them.

Awesome tutor , in not very good with computers ,Shane was patient and made code easy .

doctor Brookes is the best. im so glad to have him as an instructor. the Modules are awful, AIT is disorganized . i was missing half my books. SAIT is lacking tools for students. we were sharing a screwdriver . Shane is awesome.

Not what i was expecting at all. I am an experienced civil engineer, and I was thoroughly impressed with his trade experience and ability to share his knowledge so eagerly. Shane's classes were a refreshing pace and a challenge. SAIT lacks proper/enough tools for shops. We were made to share screw drivers and strikers in the gas lab.

This nis my first time to trade school , I find Shanes passion to be contagious in the classroom. he makes the most boring tasks and assignments fun and enjoyable. I hope he is my instructor for future years. I am having a great time in school. why is parking for a student so expensive?

All the stories are true. Shane is the Doctor of plumbing. I had heard about his classes from others at work. The guy is on another level, he goes well above and beyond. I wish he would tell some classmates to shut up. he is too polite . Great teacher ,Great class, Love the music to begin class. Shane rocks

Shane was the best! Shane is the only good thing going when attending Sait. SAIT as a school is p#*s poor. the equipment is outdated the technologies and tools are obsolete in the field. Not even enough wrenches for the students to assemble projects. Red Deer is a much better school for pipetrades training and tools. Shane should relocate there.

The best experience of my life. I learned the most from this man. he is humble, approachable constructive and sincere when giving feedback. a genuinely nice human being. We would benefit from more people like him in this world. Give him a raise already. Sait shops are a complete joke.

Modules are sooooo dry. Shane was good ,his classes and shops were fine. he saves you alot of reading .Sait needs some lights in the hallways. SAIT could also invest in tools and equipment to properly guide, build and assemble projects. Where does my Sait student money go if there is no gym facilities?

I wish Sprinkler fitting school was at SAIT, Shane is a talented instructor, he helps everyone and if he doesn't know the answer. He finds out what he can and tells the class. I'm going to miss him in my future schooling. I hope Red Deer college Has a Shane. class is fun! i actually like going to school.

This class was phenomenal, show up on time listen and participate = pass don't show up on time, don't listen and don't participate= fail Shane covers all of the material, and he goes above and beyond by heaps. It was great to have Shane as mentor

This was the Easiest class and shop i have ever taken. He covers the materials fast. buy lots of highlighters!! Its obvious he knows his stuff. and he shares his stuff with us. great stories! class was fun.

Shane is very good teacher

The material and modules l covered in the classes was overwhelming. Way too much material for 4th year. I understand we are being tested on all 4 years on out IP exam but this was a plethora of material for one year. Shane did a good job of pointing out the useful material .he also saved us some reading by only highlighting the important points.

Being a mature student, I would say Shane covers the modules too quickly, be prepared to listen. He does a good job covering most material in the ILMs. My classmates whined and complained often. I think this is a generational issue. There I go showing my age. I found the Kahoot assignments were a huge help, more than the module self-tests.

Show up, Listen, I was told everything I need to be successful with my exams. I worked extra hard 4th year for my ticket. I like the way Shane shows us when and where we usually make mistakes. No other teachers did this as effectively as he did. He also gives feedback on how to make things easier when it is exam time. Good class, good instructor.

Class was good enough, I passed. SAIT is a ripoff/scam though. from food to parking to toilet paper and water SAIT is a big money sucking machine. waste of money!

Shane helped me pass without problems. I didn't feel ready, but i passed. very stressful time this year.

Shane is a nice guy and way too polite at times. He needs to yell at the dummys in class that can't stop talking. I'm in a class of talking jerks. If they would be quiet and listen, they may learn something. I went to school to learn and advance my career not listen to jerks talk about how they thought they might get laid on the weekend.

He's the man!! I passed it! He must be the best instructor ever, hands down! because i suck as a student ! lol

I challanged my IP, was not successful, Shane took the time in the evening and weekends to show me how and what i was missing. thanks to him Halifax has a new journeyman Plumber. I wish he taught at NSCC.

SAIT 4th year, first time with Shane is good/experienced and shares his knowledge readily.SAIT Shop class with Darcy K was a complete joke, DK bulls**ts the entire time,he tries to make smoking buddies and takes 1/2hr smoke breaks, time tables and scheduling were horrible.

i like the classes. not what i was expecting. i liked the real life situation stories with the class and the extra tools and materials Shane brings from home.

,I heard a song on the radio today and it reminded me of online school at SAIT. Shane always began class by playing music, which was great. I had you and Pete as instructors in 1st and 2nd year. and both of you for shop. Sorry to hear about Peters passing. he was a great instructor, thanks for being a great mentor and making school easy. This was the second time having him as an instructor, he is good. he makes boring modules relatable. great on the job stories that relate to on-the-job experiences. he tells the funniest, Best, stories

Shane is good! This was my first time attending school in another country and another language. He does a good job explaining the different terminology used within the trades. I did not know there was such a difference in experiences within the pipe trades. This was an enlightening experience for me.

Well worth the investment. I have used his services for several of my apprentices. Approachable and personable. His ability to explain the material to our apprentices has been invaluable. his depth of working experience and patients is profound. I appreciate the "safety first" attitude my employees have once completed with his lessons. 11/10

I had Shane as a substitute teacher."great" I learned more in 1 class than i did in 3 years attending George brown college. I feel like I wasted my time going to school in Ontario .The education and schooling is hands down better in Alberta. Ontario and George brown college plumbers are totally uneducated IMHO, a joke. I wont put GBC on my resume.

Mr Brooks is a good instructor. i like the class the most.

Shane highlights the modules in different colors. this helps studying for tests.(if not color blind) However, not all exam material is covered in class. I think He does a good job explaining what material may be covered in the government exam. This was a lot of material to cover in such a short time. I feel ready for the exam now. i hope i pass
