Ms. Dosh is a great teacher, but the group work in class makes it hard for students to understand what she teaches. I would never advice someone to take her class, especially if you like working independently.

Worst english teacher I have ever had. I am a great writer and have always been, but nothing is good enough for her. She would give one A to one student, then the rest of the class would get C's. I redid a paper 8 times, and never got an A. She was RIDICULOUS.

She doesn't make any directions clear. She refuses to give any paper an A unless you rewrite it. She doesn't grade the students equally/fairly. If she likes you, you'll do fine. If you're not outgoing, good luck..

This woman is the most indecisive person I have ever experienced. DO NOT TAKE CLASS WITH HER! She grades very hard and she changes her mind about what she wants from your paper, I went to the writing center multiple times and had experienced people tell me to switch out of her class. She's terrible! How she became a professor is beyond me.

She will make you re-do every paper at least 10 times. Not only contradicting herself after about the 6th paper, but promising me my paper will be a 100 and the next class she makes more marks on my paper than the previous one. Highly recommend to take another teacher. Very frustrating, very confusing and seems like a never ending paper renewal.

Worst teacher, EVER! She is so indecisive about what she wants. I honestly have learned nothing. All you do is write papers, get bad grades, redo the papers to her liking, and still get bad grades. Incredibly indecisive. Tells you that something is good, then says "I never said that". We went all semester doing the Fiction section, and literature circles, then started on poetry where she didn't even go over poetry. Gave us a paper and a "newsletter" 2 weeks before the end of semester saying it was due the week before finals. Do not take her.

This teacher is terrible. I am a straight A student, and I had to really work extra hard to even get a B. She will go over your papers but when you correct what she says and resubmit them, she will have a whole new set of issues that she found wrong, and make you rewrite it all over again. Inconsistent and not helpful- do not take her.

Constantly contradicts herself. Gives unclear intsructions during the lecture. Will have you do something completely opposite from what she explained in the lecture. Really confusing, the class has no structure at all. She Just gives you random assignments and doesn't explain how to do it.

She has to be the worst professor at the college. She is the most unorganized person that I have seen at this college. She is very very very vague on her assignments. Then a few days before the assignment is due she will go over your paper and then tell you what is wanted in the paper. I wish I would have never taken this class with this teacher.

She has a cool personality ,BUT when it come to writing an essay your are left with more questions then answers! She does not explain her assignment well and leave most of her student feeling confused. 85- 90 % of her student are confused and also most of her student end up get help from tutor but this will not help u because she a tough grader!!

I had a meeting with Ms. Dosh about one of my papers. She had previously approved all of my outlines saying, "These are great, I can't wait to read your paper." I walked into her office and sat down, and the first thing she says is, "You need to change your whole topic." Later she told me the exact paper was "decent" and could "use a little work."

For anyone that has to take enc1101 please dosh away from taking her class. I usually receive A's in my classes but with her class I had to work extra hard just to get a B. So far this is one of the hardest classes I ever had to take. Her directions are unclear and she will make you redo the papers about 6 times each.

She is a nice person seems pretty cool. Very unclear and expects things from you that you don't know. Very contradicting and doesn't always make sense.

I do not recommend this class to ANYONE. She says email her with questions, then never responds. We have 5 days left in this semester and we have 13 assignments due, 12 of which I have no idea how to do, and she has yet to give me an explanation. I am a straight A student and I am outstanding in English, I am struggling to get a B!!

Horrible class. Do not take! I tested above this class but decided to take it for an easy A and to up my GPA. I have never had so many problems in a class. She's unclear, indecisive, and impossible to please, even with seeing her multiple times outside of class and using tutors.

Find another professor! Currently taking the online course and all of the assignments are discussions with the same questions asked for every post.

This class is pretty much impossible to get an A. The essays you write will answer everything she is wanting but no matter what you write you'll get a D+ or a C. She will allow you to re-do them but will find completely different issues and the process repeats. Do not get this teacher.

Impossibly picky on papers written by students coming right out of high school or adults coming back to school. Very nice, but horrible teaching style.

Delays answering her email until a week later. Doesn't give out A's when you've earned it. Isn't specific with homework. Doesn't tell you what you can improve on and show your mistakes. I highly suggest you find a better English Professor and not have an online class with this teacher.

She never gives you a fair grade and expects you to understand what she wants without explaining it in any way understandable, and then gives you a terrible grade when you did good work. I am normally an A plus student and I am currently struggling so hard with this class and am scared I'm not going to pass

This professor doesn't fully explain the assignments clearly. She is all over the place with her stuff. Students have to actually help each other to fully understand what's going on.

Confusion directions, changes assignments, deleted assignments after youve completed them. Gives confusing feedback on essays and doesnt give good directions. Her directions arent what is in the book

She gives so many essay projects and if you dont write it exactly how she likes it youll get a bad grade. I advise switching and getting a different professor before its too late!

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!!!! She's not a good teacher and absolutely AWFUL. Also, over 75% of our class has dropped her this semester. She's a terrible teacher, and I'm shocked she's managed to keep this teaching gig.

I would very highly recommend you choose a different professor if you can. Assignments were extremely vague, and I can say I learned nothing from her. If you are stuck in her class, I highly recommend you stay as she does have some redeeming qualities. She's very nice as a person, & accepts late assignments. She will work w/ you so you can pass.

I recommend dropping her class ASAP. Professor Dosh may be nice. But, her teaching style is terrible. She doesn't give clear directions on assignments and is very anal with her grading. She didn't teach us MLA Format or Citations. She wasn't very helpful at all. I don't understand how she's been able to keep her job.

I'm currently in her ENC1102 class and I about had enough. She's horrible at explaining the content. I dont understand how she is still a teacher at this college. The only people that like her are the teachers. I should have listened to my friend when she told me to get out of Dosh's class. If you're reading this, don't take her class! Find another

Over 70 assignments on canvas for this class to be done outside of class. She over analyzes all her lectures and makes it very difficult to understand

Set up of the class online is beyond confusing, as directions are in one place, while the actual assignment is in another. Instructions are also unclear, and when contacted about confusion, helps little to none to help to clear up the issue. She completely dodges questions by giving abstract answers that somehow leave you more confused.

I'm normally an A student but I'm hoping for 70 in this class. This woman is all over place, she jumps from one area back and forth to next with unclear assignments unclear directions and when you ask a question the help she gives and her feedback literally doesn't answer what your asking. Its so confusing. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

She is a very nice person however I absolutely hate how she sets up her canvas assignments. You need to constantly remember of the pop quizzes she has on their because there is one every week. It opens on Wednesday then closes that next Monday before class. There isn't enough time. She is confusing us with her lectures. Grades harshly.

Her grading criteria is completely unclear. I and other peers of mine have turned in essays following all of the requirements (4 pages and work cited) and she has handed us 0s. Now I understand if the essay is bad she is well within her rights to dock of points but giving us a 0 is as if we turned in nothing. We work hard in that class and nothing?

Do yourself a favor and do not take this class. Nothing that leaves her mouth makes any sense. The due dates on canvas are not accurate and are all over the place. When she gives feedback on writing assignments nothing is clear and when you ask for help she responds with "review my comments". Possibly the worst english teacher I have ever had.

She expects you to read her mind. Does not teach or explain anything and her lectures are her rambling for an hour. She assigns at least 2-3 quizzes a week to introduce new topics and does not discuss them in class. These quizzes are sometimes 100+ points and without clarification or prior understanding its an easy way to fail. AVOID THIS CLASS!!!!

By far the worst professor Ive ever come into contact with. All over the place with her wording, very little helpful feedback, and ultimately no directive with the class. If Dosh is the only ENC1101 professor left when you go to sign up, I suggest waiting another semester.

Just dont take this class. If there is another available professor take them instead. I am normally and A or B student and never have trouble with class work. The assignments are difficult to understand what they are asking for and there are multiple quizzes a week. The textbook is your only help. She is just not a good professor to take.

I got thrown into Dosh's class whenever CF turned online this semester and it was probably one of the worst things i have ever experienced. She grades super hard but then doesn't tell you how to fix what you got wrong. The only good thing about her was she lets you redo most assignments over again to get a better grade.

Class was set up to fail, No matter how hard or how well you do an assignment she typically makes you redo it. Dosh is a nice enough person but her instructions make 0 sense and her help is often just as confusing. Class is not a 100 level class

She gives you zeros on all essays. Every person in my class was failing because you had to have 70's on all essays and they highest grades were 70's the means were in the 20's. I had a zoom with her and it was awful. Zero clarification ended up having to withdraw to not hurt my GPA. Worst professor I have ever had.

Professor Dosh is 100% the worst professor I have ever had. The 1st module i did great and did not have a problem I was getting 100% on everything . As soon as essay 1 came along boom 0%. I spent hours on that essay and the ones following and every assignment beyond that was 4 or 12%. She is unreasonable and nobody was passing that was in my class.

this professor does not want to see u pass. she gives 0% on essays that u spend hours on and isnt clear as to why. i had a one on one zoom with her to get clarification on what to do differently and i never got an answer. she just read word for word from the textbook. when i got off the call i cried cuz of how stressful she makes this course.

This class was by far the worst I have ever taken. There is an unreasonable amount of work, and my whole class never knew what they were doing. It wasn't even us being lazy, her instructions were so unclear that we didn't know where to start or how to do it. One day I would have a low F, then a high C. She dodges questions, and makes zero sense.

This professor is easily the worst one Ive ever had, she has unrealistic expectations and offers zero help except a zoom call, her lectures are just her talking on and on and often confuse you more the quizzes are nothing like what the book tells you and she takes points off of every little thing in my class everyone dropped her course or failed.

Ive never dealt with such a stressful class ever in my life. Im an A/B student and Always have done in good in school, but her class makes you feel like your dumb and incapable. Has no outlined expectations. Does allow resubmitted assignments but her expectations change with each new resubmission. You cannot reasonably know what she actually wants. She will give feedback and even if you do EVERYTHING she has asked for, it will be a new list of things to change with no increase in grade.

Worst instructor ive had. Assignments lists up to 12/week, hard requirements for assignments that would changes after you submit them, called the entire class stupid on a discussion post, she doesn't explain things well at all, and even raised her voice at me for asking for help on zoom call. Not friendly for neurodiverse/disabled students.

Unless you watch her hours of homemade videos and write every last word precisely what she wants you to write, you are not passing. She runs like a Harvard professor teaching a high school class.

This professor is the most difficult professor I've had in college. I would not recommend choosing her, especially if you struggle writing essays. Does not have empathy for her students, piles up a ridiculous amount of work.

Worst professor I have ever seen, her class makes me wanna end myself from how stressful it is. 10+ assignments in less than a week and you'll get a terrible grade on the essay if you don't follow her every step. Extremely slow in grading, effectively copies the textbook for everything, 90% of the time feedback is just "copy what the textbook did," and marks down heavily if what you did is not the exact way she wants it done (which is hard when most of her instructions are unclear).

I took her in my first semester of college, I used to love English until i had her. Shes absolutely terrible 0/5 recommend, the first week of class we had assignments and she continued to pile on more throughout the semester. A lot of repetitive tasks and lots of papers to write. I withdrew from Professor Dosh's class after two weeks. Her class is defiantly more difficult than most. Five essays throughout the course, but no final exam. Revising and editing those paper will determine your final grade, which I believe is fair. She grades tough and isn't very clear with instructions. Save your mental health and don't take her.

she has a lot of repetitive, drawn-out, awfully worded quizzes. she assumes you do a minimum of 12 of homework a week, in a 16-week long class. she also says she'll help explain things and when you ask for help she just talks and explains nothing useful, or helpful.

Professor Dosh does not offer clear directions at all. She provides a template for many of her essays and then when you follow it, you are still wrong. Very vague and judge mental.

I've always been strong in English and took honors all throughout high school. With all that being said, I had to drop the class in 9 days. Don't take this class with her under any circumstances. Only positive was attendance wasn't mandatory but I attended all the classes anyways and it didn't help.

one of the worst english classes i've taken. her assignments are painfully long and not worded clearly in the slightest, so expect to be retaking them for a better grade. the essays completely strip away any and all creative freedom and personality, as you're forced to model your essays basically word for word from another student's paper.

I hate talking bad about anyone, but it you don't want to be stressed just from one class, do not have this professor. For one of the first assignments, she gave 3 options, I picked one of the options and then she gave me a 0 saying the option I picked wasn't an option...then she just apologized and told me l had to redo the assignment anyway.

Professor Dosh is nice enough as a person, but she is a terrible teacher. I barely understood anything she said. English was always my favorite class and one I excelled in. This class changed that for me. It took up too much of my time and made it very difficult to balance my other (higher level!) course work, as well as have any sort of work life balance. It is much more intensive than ENC1101 courses peers and family members have taken. Do not recommend.

Learned nothing in that entire class, the format she has for canvas assignments is awful. Most of the time you can't find what you need. Then for the class she just goes on rambling for 1h and 15 on nothing. If this class was not mandatory I would have withdrawn. Don't take this class you will regret everything.

worst professor I've ever had. I had to endure the lowest grades ever. Spend hours to write an essay unlucky, you will NEVER EVER get over 70%. So a B is out of the question. Then for only 10% of your grade she gives the definition of busy work. Just 1 HW assignment about 10 a week. It's 100 questions +1 for every you get wrong. Also does not teach

Overall, just a very confusing and frustrating course. You will get flexibility with due dates, but the sheer amount of assignments/writing, mixed with unclear instructions, prolonged grading time, and confusing feedback, will make you feel like you're going nowhere. I wish I checked her rating before signing up for her class because they're right.

Literally the worst professor I ever had. Instruction on all assignments was confusing and complicated, grading was harsh and no matter how much work you did it goes no where. For my mental health I finally decided to fail out of her class and retake it with someone else the following semester.

DO NOT take this professor unless you absolutely love writing or have plenty of available time. There are a total of five essays that you will need to write, but each essay contains three quizzes (with a thousand questions), and essays #3,4, and 5 have an additional plan you must submit priorly. It seems easy at first, but she's a harsh grader.

This teacher makes it nearly impossible to pass. Unclear instructions, HARSH grading. Over 50 assignments with unclear instructions and her grading, you'll redo most assignments at least once, doubling the work with little to no helpful feedback. This one class' workload is the equivalent of 3 classes. It's mentally exhausting and discouraging.

oh my gosh she was horrible. her “text book” was free because she scanned her at home textbook and put it into canvas, but she's not very tech savvy because half of the pages would be cut out. she required us to read that textbook for the assignments and quizzes due every week. on top of my 4 other classes, i had hers and her work load was too much

Disgusting. I am only taking this class because it is required, and I want to pull my hair out with how stressful it is. There is no clear grading criteria, and she assigns an appalling amount of useless work. I spent 40 hours a week on this class and still fell behind because it was so confusing. The fact that she is still employed is beyond me.

Her class makes absolutely no sense. She does not help when asked and gives vague answers. She does not know how to use technology and should not be allowed to teach online classes. The school does not help when reporting on bad teachers either, so please don't bother. The only person who suffers from this miserable class is yourself, so avoid it.

Don't understand how she is still employed. Had to be the hardest class i've taken in retrospect, even after taking calc 3, dif eq, and phy 2. All because she has the most homework that has no value. Yet 70% of your grade will come from assignments that she won't even talk about like dissections buried in her unorganized canvas page.

PLEASE don't take Dosh. She is passionate and probably lovely outside of class, but she's Il Duce in the class. Her instructions are unclear, and she tries to help, however she's bad at explaining, so you never get help. As someone who has always excelled in English and never gotten below an A, I found this class extremely difficult. Not only does she give homework that you will need to redo multiple times (tripling the coursework) you will most likely be working day and night just to get a good grade. You will need to vigorously email her if you want some help.

For context, I was a straight A English student in high school, (I passed AP Lang and AP Lit with 4s)(Im not taking this class I'm helping a friend). This woman must have a personal vendetta against someone, she a very harsh grader. Her instructions are extremely unclear. For one essay (class size 20) the highest score was a 60 on a 100 pt essay.

As a straight A student who has never failed, RUN!!!
