Ethics- Great Professor!!! Very witty and intelligent. He is a very liveful professor not once was he in a bad mood. He gives a review sheet before the midterm and final which are extremely helpful. Dr. Kincaid made last semester at QCC most enjoyable. His passion for teaching oozes out of him. SUGGESTION: Review the material steadily all throughout the semester, not just when it's time to take the test. He digs class participation and it's difficult to participate if you don't understand the philosophy behind each person discussed.

Oh man, Prof. Kincaid is the best professor i ever had during my four semesters at QCC! his personality is great, he would make you laugh, he teaches the material very clear and sometimes he even acts it out for us to understand it better. I would def recommend him, i give him 10 stars! He makes the midterm and term paper sound extremly hard, but it isint! Take alot of notes, study hard, and i would recommend using a recorder just incase you miss any notes!

kincaid was great! we discussed really fascinating, intricate topics with a lot of complexity. as long as you understand the basic concepts of each topic and philosopher, u will do fine. i think his tests were dumbed down too much, but his lectures are a lot of fun. he's changed my way of thinking and i have to thank him so much for that! Dr. Shannon Kincaid is very funny and is always open to help. Though his course can be confusing at first he tends to use life examples to explain philosophers better. Take this class. One of the best experiences you can have at QCC. Esp. if you're going into the Humanities. The material can be rough - Plato,Hume,Kant - but Kincaid does his best to help us understand. He does challenge you though, but you'll be a better thinker for it. Class is like a play and Dr. Kincaid impersonates many philosophers so we can understand their points of view. He usually tells HILARIOUS jokes and it is the kind of class that actually MAKES YOU WANT TO GO TO. If you put some effort, this class will be easy enough to pass, but challenging enough to actually make you think the right way!

Professor Kincaid's Philosophy class is interesting, compelling, and educational for all students who take Philosophy. The readings are pretty difficult but Kincaid is honestly an amazing professor. He tells a lot of stories & talks about his son a lot. The review sheets easily have at least 90 topics on them, the exams aren't that easy and there's a 10 page paper at the end. Take advantage of office hours if you need extra explanation because he's very helpful.

He does such a good job explaining the material, just pay attention and have good notes to study from. He makes the class interesting and makes you engaged for the entire period.

Hands down, no argument, the best professor in Queensborough. Hes tough, but his Ethics class is so worth it, because everything he teaches can be applied to everyday life. Last day of my semester with him, I walked out a changed person.

He was the greatest professor I have ever taken. He was my first in college and he really set things for me. He is funny and highly intelligent and he cares for students more than any other professor. You;ll have to do a little bit of reading but the class discussions are amazing.

Professor Kincaid is hands down the best professor I've had in my college career. His lectures are really good as he uses his funny life stories as analogies to his topics. He's bright, intelligent, and caring. If you watched the show "Frasier" he kinda resembles "Niles Crane." Tests are easy if you put in the work but nothing too hard. Don't wait!

He the BEST, and he really cares about all of the students. He is always willing to HELP everyone. There is a mid term and final exam and one paper.

Please pay attention in his class he is truly a gem of a person. I can not express enough to be open minded in everything he says. Class is difficult if you don't read the texts that should be apparent simply by it being philosophy. I was always excited to attend class. I would love to keep in contact with him.

I took this class because I registered late, PHIL wasnt my first option. The professor is nice, also funny. Hes goes off topic a lot its hard to keep up with the subject of the class. The class isnt boring but the subject is so hard. You have to read; no exceptions. Everything taught is class is about the reading. No PowerPoint slides.

Dr. Kincaid is hands down the best professor in QCC. He really really does care about his students and does everything he can to help you. There is a midterm, final and an essay. The essay is so easy, he will help you with it whenever (just ask!) He doesn't use powerpoints, but his lectures are seriously so funny and interesting. Love him!!

Professor Kincaid is the nicest professor I've ever met. Super chill guy. He makes the class laugh almost every single day. His tests are fairly tough but with the lectures and book its a breeze. Id recommend recording the lectures to keep the info. In the end, he gave a 10 pg term paper but he is so kind and always ready to help. Super awesome guy

Professor kincaid was amazing and he's super quirky. He is a bit tough because his reviews for the tests are only based on what questions the class can ask, not a sheet. His 10 page paper may seem like a lot at first but he tries to break it up into parts so it doesn't hit you all at once and is always willing to go over it with you.

Had Professor Kincaid my last semester at QCC. He was the best professor I've ever had. Super funny and actually makes Philosophy interesting. It will seem like a lot when you look over the syllabus but he does a great job of explaining it and going over it with you day by day. He reviews information so many times that it sticks. My favorite professor at QCC. He is a very intelligent, easy-going person, who tells lots of funny stories. He made the class super interesting just from him being the one teaching it. He will always help you when you need it. Class was always a pleasure. Two exams-one final paper. If you create a draft, he will review it and make corrections.

ATTENDANCE IS A MUST!! Anyway aside from that, phenomenal teacher to be honest. His lectures are full of meaningful lessons. He has loads of stories to tell. His writings on the board are all over the place so be prepared to organize YOUR notes. Tests are exactly like the study guides. Very interesting class to take and view the world differently.

Prof. Kincaid no wait Dr. Kincaid he's very deserving of his title. He has been my on going support throughout this semester with his kind words pushing me ahead. COVID-19 was a struggle but he always made the class fun with his podcasts and he is an Easy A. The classes were thoroughly explained and he gives study guides in the syllabus to hep us.

I actually took Kincaid a couple years ago but throughout my college career I clearly remember the things he taught me and how I understand and question things in life. He's a great professor and I wish I could take him again in a heartbeat. Philosophy as we know is a mine field and can be incredibly diffilcult but he makes it fun.

Hs is the BEST prof in QCC just like how others say. You need to work a lot in his class since it's philosophy (a lot of reading and writing) but his lecture is amazing. He has a strong power in his speech and I really enjoyed his lecture and I'm really sad about how I can't speak to him again (transferred, and QCC is closed because of Covid-19).

Shannon Kincaid one of the best professors at QCC! He's very intelligent and takes care about his students, you just need to do all assignments in time, he wants to see that you engaged in process and he always helps you if you need help or extra time.

Kincaid is an easy-going teacher. He often shares stories with his students. He also writes notes, but I usually don't understand his handwriting. And I don't understand English well. Many times I don't understand what he says. I'm in his class. I got a C. This is a large part of my problem. I still recommend him as a teacher.

Taking Dr. Kincaid's class was honestly the best choice I have ever made, academic or otherwise. His tests are not "easy" but that's because the course isn't easy, however, he does not make the tests unnecessarily difficult. He is a great professor that treats his students with respect, if you have any interest in philosophy, take Dr. Kincaid.

The professor teaches well but is very disorganized, often jumping between topics. There are many papers to write, all due by the end of the semester. However, his exam questions are easy and directly based on class discussions. Just attend class, complete assignments, and prepare for intense writing, and you'll do fine.
