I loved Ms. M. She really sets you up for success in a difficult class. She gives you every resource to do well, and it is completely on you to take them. Accounting is not supposed to be easy, but she is clearly knowledgeable about the material and wants to see all of her students succeed.
In this class you are required to do well on the tests. If you fail one test you basically fail the class. Would not recommend this professor ever..
I don't like the way she explains things and answers questions, takes forever to get to the point. Lots of lectures. Confusing. Good person, but she gives attitude when we ask questions.
Every Sunday you have to teach yourself the entire chapter for the upcoming week. It takes all day and it's really hard material and then you have a really long quiz at the end about everything you just taught yourself (and it adds extra questions each time you get one wrong). She is nice but just prepare to teach yourself everything in this class.
Yeah, no if you need to take accounting try any other professor. She reads straight off of a PowerPoint and doesn't answer questions asked in class. Besides the point of accounting is difficult as it is she makes it impossible to learn in the classroom. If you want to pass you have to get a tutor or attend SI sessions. Would not recommend her class
I took this class online which was its main flaw. The first exam really screwed everyone over but I really recommend going to SI maybe a week before the exam which helped me. The class material only got harder but EVERYTHING relies on that first exam. Homework is fine if you pay attention, be ready to stay in every night to complete the quizzes.
85% of the grade is from 3 tests. I got a perfect score on 1 and still was afraid of failing the class. She makes things needlessly difficult be removing lectures after 24 hours. The tests cover so much and her preparation is awful. HW takes more effort than it's worth and is basically just guess and check. Please take someone else.
Personally, I loved her as a professor. She's super knowledgable, and accessible if you need help. Her lectures were good supplements to the textbook, and she makes class expectations very comprehensible. This is a hard class, but she is fair and helpful. If you put in the work, an A is attainable.
Absolutely not. Very inconsiderate and does not care about the success of her students. Extremely difficult class and and she spends the most of the class talking about material thats not relevant. Do NOT take this class
Dont do it man. trust me. this class wack
I can't recommend her enough! Ms. McCutchen knows what to assign to students in order for them to succeed. She structures the class so that you will actually learn and understand the material. She generally put about a week into one topic and I understood it flawlessly by the end of the week and if not office hours cleared everything up! Take her!
Do not take this class. Doesnt care about the success of students and spends the majority of class talking about irrelevant/easier concepts. Tests are impossible and make up almost all of your grade. Homework and quizzes take forever and are essentially useless in terms of points.
ACCT225 is a difficult class for most people and covers a lot of material. However, Prof McCutchen does a great job of preparing you for the exams and offers plenty of resources outside of class. This class takes a lot of effort, no matter who you have, but if you put in the effort McCutchen is a great choice and explains things well.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! Omg, literally the worst, most inconsiderate woman I have ever met. If you go to her for help, your gonna leave even more discouraged because she will make you feel bad. Work is so repetitive, takes years. You have to basically teach yourself to fully understand, which didn't work for me. Unless your v smart, prepare to struggle
ACCT225 is just a hard class, sorry to break it to you. Mccutchen's teaching style will make sense to some people and not others. She is very helpful and is willing to help but not if you aren't willing to work for it. This goes for ACCT in general, if you don't go to class do NOT expect to pass.
While McCutchen seems like a fairly nice woman, her grade emphasis on the three total exams makes the course incredibly difficult. Compared to the other accounting teachers, she makes the course needlessly difficult. You will ultimately have more homework, more need for studying, and more difficulty understanding the content if you choose her.
Prof McCutchen in short is extremely hard. Your grade is based all on extremely hard tests. The class is all long and boring lectures. She takes attendance with a clicker which is just another thing for her to take points off for. If you have her get ready to grind or you will struggle. Would highly recommend taking someone not named Prof McCutchen
Fantastic teacher. The lectures are well related to real world applications and are extremely well prepared. ACCT 225 with McCutchen is not an easy class, however, you will definitely learn the material. Take her if you like a challenge, take someone else if you want an easy "A"
This class is extremely hard & you're gonna have to put in a lot of outside work in order to get a good grade. There are only 3 tests in this class all year & they are weighted very heavily. You receive attendance points via clicker so it is very important to show up. She uses a point system to grade, making it very hard to track how you're doing.
My workload per week was : 1 hour supplemental instruction (3 are available per week), 2-3 hours on reading quiz, 2 hours on hw but varies greatly (hw ranges from easy to near impossible but there's unlimited attempts). Definitely my hardest class this semester, but definitely not impossible to get an A. Put in the work and results will come.
Mrs. Mccutchen isn't the best professor nor the worst. Her lecture is very heavy and she moves things pretty fast. She's very strict and willing to report you to Student Conduct if she thinks you cheated. Her test is very tricky but doable. You have not much choice but to take her class unless they hire another professor. And yes, a lot of HWs.
The homework is way harder than the tests. She gives plenty of opportunities to help you, if you don't understand. You do have to work for it though. Don't rely on your notes in the Homework and you will do fine on test day.
She seems nice and all, but gives wayyyyy too much Homework. Her tests are difficult and make up the vast majority of your grade. She makes the class more difficult than it needs to be. Do NOT take her.
Definitely a tough class, but if you put in the effort you will do fine. She sets very clear expectations from the start of the class and follows her syllabus to a T. If you do your weekly homework and quizzes and come to class, you'll be fine. Tests aren't that bad and there's built-in extra credit opportunities.
Mccutchen is a fantastic professor, if you pay attention in class and do your work you will do great, Shes awesome and you will learn so much
It was a very simple class, but the teacher wanted us all to want to study accounting students like this class. The exam was very hard, but the content was not really hard, it was because this teacher made it hard. The extra credit I had before is no longer available. You must answer iCliker in class, but it is very short.
McCutchen is one of the most annoying teachers I've had through my entire life. I dreaded going to this class every single time. You have to go to class, she uses geo locked I-clicker points to check this and is not helpful with excused absences. Homework would take hours and was much harder than the lectures. Do not take her if you don't have to.
Mrs. McCutchen truly cares about her students. I went into the class skeptical basing my thoughts off of friends who had here saying she was impossible. She's not. Her lectures are clear cut and prepare you exactly for the exam and she truly cares about your success in her class. If you don't to well in this class it is because you gave up too easy
This was the hardest class I have ever taken. The lectures did not prep you for the tests, and I felt the material covered in class never showed up on the exams. She tried to help outside of class, but because of the material not matching exam questions it didn't really matter. Would not recommend taking this class.
Shannon was a blunt teacher who doesn't really give much leeway in terms of late assignments. You basically have to teach the entire chapter to yourself before hearing it in lectures. Which may work for some people, but not for me. Her work is very much doable but some assignments will take you over 3 hours to complete. Decent instructor
Great professor. She is good at teaching the material and her homework and grading format worked really well for me. Lots of points from HW, participation, etc can buffer any bad exam grades. Knows the material well and talks to students during lectures.
It is a tough class, but if you put in the effort you will do great. She sets very clear expectations from the start of the class and you just need to follow her syllabus. If you do your weekly homework and quizzes and come to class, you'll be fine. Tests aren't that bad and there are extra credit opportunities. She makes things easy to understand
McCutchen is a great teacher who knows a lot about Accounting. Beware that when taking her course that she is very strict on attendance (uses iClicker), doesn't have any lenience for late assignments and teaches at a fast pace. The tests are also worth a large majority of your grade. Definitely utilize the SI sessions and do every assignment!
I absolutely would not take her class again! The quizzes take kind of a long time but the homework is usually reasonable. Even though I would make 100 on the quizzes and homework I would fail the exams and they weigh so heavy! She is accessible out of class but no amount of SI Sessions will help honestly. Attendance counts toward grade.
She's a very smart woman, but could care less about who passes and fails her class. Seems like she is just there to earn her check and leave. I went to countless SI sessions and office hours and still had to drop her class.
If you want to enjoy your semester without stress then stay away from McCutchen. Her teaching style is very much you do it yourself, nothing she explains never makes any sense because her note taking is so hard to follow. She'll tell you exactly what you have to do to get an A but she does not care if you pass and won't go out of her way to help.
I loved Prof McCutchen!! She is such a good lecturer and clearly knows so much about accounting. There are homeworks and quizzes every week but honestly they do help you learn so much better. If you come to her about anything she will do her best to help you. In my opinion the tests were not overly hard either.
Shannon does not care whether you pass or fail her class. She will lecture the entire class time and still someone not go over anything important. You must teach everything to your self. And the SI sessions are no help at all. Your entire grade is exams 90%. The other 10% is hours of quiz's and Homework which do not prepare you.
Class is fast paced and exam heavy! You learn new material each week, and most of the time it doesn't correspond. She is easy to follow, but the information is very boring! I can't stress enough to read the textbook because there is information she won't go over that could be on the exam. If you aren't willing to put in the work you won't succeed!
The online textbook we had to use was pretty frustrating, and it's hard to ask questions if you get lost. Her personality is also different, but she knows what she's talking about and her examples are usually easy to understand. The exams need to be read very carefully as well.
I love her. Literally just do the homework and read the textbook beforehand. She gives tons of resources/practice so if you're failing and complaining, its on you tbh. SI test review sessions are super helpful and give out a practice test, so go! You need a clicker for the participation points. Lectures can get boring, but that's just accounting.
McCutchen gets a bad rap because she teaches hard courses but she's an awesome professor. There is one homework assignment (~1hr, unlimited attempts) and one quiz (~1.5hrs, graded for completion) per week, and 3 exams. The final isn't cumulative either. Attendance is measured by clicker questions which can be answered at home too. Not impossible
The class is pretty easy if you study for the exams. She has TAs that have the answers to the exercises in the books. Attendance is graded by clicker questions so you kind of have to go but don't really need to pay attention if ur good at teaching yourself from practice problems and the textbook. I'd take her. No 225 class is going to be an easy A.
I actually think Mrs. Mccutchen is a good teacher. Accounting 225 itself is a difficult class however she provides many opportunities to be successful. She spends a week on each chapter with lots of practice, office hours, and SI Sessions. If you take notes and pay attention you should be just fine.
At the beginning of the semester I was not the biggest fan, but when I gave her a chance and went in to office hours I liked her a lot more. In a big class it is easy to fall behind, going in for office hours definitely helped me get the grade that I wanted. Read the textbook, it is essential to do well.
You should be able to get an A if you put in the work. Not the easiest of classes but that is not 100% McCutchen's fault. The majority of your grade is made up by tests so you will definitely have to study for them. They are multiple choice but they are kind of difficult. You will definitely have to read the textbook and take notes to do well.
lots of work, shes a really nice person but her class is extremely hard, you will most ikely be teaching most of it to yuorself
definitely the more difficult acct 225 professor, but really makes sure that you understand the material. has lots of resources/si, but you'll probably be reading the textbook a lot. i heard that her office hours were really helpful but i never went. overall would definitely take again, just have discipline with assignments/studying
I was in the 400 person lecture and Prof. McCutchen was more cut throat in her bigger lectures than her smaller ones. She's definitely something and you will have to work for a good grade. ACCT 225 is a weeding out class in general that will challenge you and so will Prof. McCutchen. You either love her or hate her!
Mrs.McCutchen is a great teacher and explains the content well. However, I think she tries to trick you a lot on tests. This class' tests are very difficult if you aren't well prepared. The study strategy I used was the week following up to the test (Friday tests for MWF). I did 1 unit a day with an overall review the Thursday before the test.
This class truly is not as difficult as everyone says it is. You just have to go to class and study. The people that complain are the ones that don't try or take advantage of all the resources she provides for us. The class itself is difficult, but she does a good job at explaining everything. She always goes over the difficult concepts in class.
Mrs mccutchen is a great teacher who challenges her students but pushes them to learn. The tests are not that hard if you study and pay attention, but you definitely have to put in the work for this class.
Professor McCutchen makes the expectations of the course very clear. One weekly quiz and homework assignment that can be challenging but prepares you well for tests. Attend SI sessions; they're very helpful. Taking good notes before, during and after class is also crucial for success. Great professor who genuinely cares for her students' success!
To succeed in the class you defientely have to read the textbook and keep up. She gives really good exam reviews in class. Best review was to redo all the quizzes. Multiple-choice tests were easy if you know the basic cricteria. Her lectures were beneficial to help understand the material better.
I personally really enjoyed her class. It was a great introduction to accounting, and Professor McCutchen made sure to point out which parts were especially important. I think I will do great in 226 because of her. The only bad part is the lectures can get quite repetitive, but it's understandable based off of how accounting works. Would recommend!
Professor McCutchen was by far my favorite professor this semester. Her lectures are very informative and consistently allowed me to better understand the material at hand. I had never taken an accounting course before this class and I think McCutchen did an amazing job at introducing the major to students. I highly recommend her class!
Very organized and structured with the content she is lecturing. Easy to understand and super friendly if you attend office hours or talk to her outside of class. Exams aren't bad, and she does a lot of in-class practice problems and review before the exams. Gives opportunities for extra credit through extra homework, quizzes, and assignments.
This class is difficult, but Professor McCutchen is extremely accommodating by making herself available outside of class often. The course is homework heavy and you have to read the textbook, but if you struggle with the difficult content she is good at offering resources, like review videos for each chapter before the tests, and post-test reviews.
She was low key nice just strict. Talked to the students up front and had super clear notes to follow
Personally, I liked Mrs. McCutchen. While she first came off as overbearing and a tough professor, she ended up being one of my favorites. Definitely go to the SI sessions before exams; those helped my friends and me a lot!
Prof McCutchen teaches in such a good way that helps you understand. Her teaching worked so well for me- she'll repeat the same phrase over and over again until the concept is beat into our heads. It may sound silly or annoying, but if you pay attention, it works SO well. She does her part great but it definitely only works if you do your part too.
there were a lot of assignments to do outside of class and some of them can be difficult, but they do help with understanding the material more. she gives good reviews for upcoming exams in class. the classes are a bit lecture-heavy, but she does do good practice problems. she is available outside of class often and is very approachable!
People that say this class is too hard don't do the work. Stay on top of homework and it will not be insanely difficult. When doing smart books, hit the "read more" option and take notes on the highlighted section, it will give you a base for class. She has a lot of structure and is an amazing teacher.
Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. Accounting isn't the easiest class, but she teaches in a way that makes the content digestible. There is regular work to be done outside of the class, but all of it is quality homework to help further understand the topic. Overall, seeing you succeed is very important to her.
Very insensitive and inflexible professor. Avoid taking her, not a good teacher on top of abusing power.
Very good professor, especially for freshman. She explains accounting concepts elementarily because she knows this info is very new to most of her students. She makes an effort to get to know her students, and wants them to learn. She does expect you to be in class so I would recommend not to take her class if you regularly skip.
She is an amazing professor. Great job of explaining the material in the course. Her notes are very helpful, and she is clear on what is happening in the course and the assignments given.
I loved her. She was one of the best teachers I have ever had. She is a tough person, which might come across as mean, but she is the opposite. She cares about what she's teaching and she's good at it. Don't miss class and don't forget about the homeworks.
Bad teacher bad tests bad everything take a different teacher
I would never take this professor again; this is a very content-heavy class with a professor who wants you to spend 90% of your free time on an intro class. I found her lectures very fast and she uses a lot of short-hand for her notes. If you end up with her (take Glenski if possible), READ THE BOOK. Tests cover material not learned in lectures.
The negative reviews are written by people who don't pay attention in class. Read the book, study a week before the exam, attend and participate, and you get an A. This is the most difficult freshman business class but mccutchen is knowledgeable and gives you the tools and resources to succeed,
McCutchen is a very knowledgeable professor, while I slacked off in this class and didn't try I still ended with a B just listening to her during her class. She is very good at what she does and tries her best to teach a hard class. Talk to her 1 on 1 and go to office hours and you will be fine. She isn't as bad as the reviews say.
Overall a great professor! She will go so into detail and use simple definitions for vocabulary to make sure every student can understand the material. Most hw assignments had a hint video to help you with confusion. Just as long you try to study and do the homework you will be fine. The only con I have is some of her exam questions can be TRICKY
Don't take her if you can. Extremely boring lectures and does an awful job of preparing you for the exams its never clear exactly what you need to study.
McCutchen should definitely not get the hate she receives. I'm not a stellar student but I ended with an A in her class, and never got lower than a 90% on her exams. They are only 20 questions and they're all multiple choice. The homework and online quizzes are easy 100s. Literally just study and practice and you will do well.
She is a rather tough and uncaring professor, and I found her criteria to be a tad too intense for me, but I can see other students doing well under her teaching style. If you do well under constant pressure, you will do well taking her.
I want to drink sweet tea on a porch on a sunny southern day with this woman. She gets too much criticism, yes her class is hard but going to class is really helpful to doing well. Getting good grades on test takes a lot of work but there are lots of resources to take advantage of. She is strict and type A but she warns people of this many times.
Accounting is not an easy course to take but McCutchen does her best to keep students engaged. All exams are multiple choice and have only 20 questions. (Final 25) and homework and quizzes are given 100%. I do not think she deserves any hate just because the course isn't that easy. If you study for exams and put in the work you will be fine.
She is a nice person but her class was difficult. She knows the material well but explains it too quickly and goes through review questions too fast. This class will be easy if accounting comes naturally to you, but if not it's a hard class. The tests are based off of textbook material which she doesn't emphasize/go over during her lectures.
People either think Mrs. McCutchen is good or she's the devil incarnate, but I think she is a good professor. However, this class requires effort. You have to go to class and pay attention, but the work outside of class is manageable. She is predictable on the schedule and what is expected on the tests.
Overall I think Professor McCutchen is the reason I did so well in this course. She is AMAZING at lecturing. Her lessons are always engaging, easy to follow, and never drag on too long. There have been times when I've seen her like bit more assertive toward students, but I think it's all tough love. Overall great professor and very sweet person.
She is not a terrible teacher, just not a great lecturer. If you take her, an A is definitely possible, just be prepared to teach yourself and GO TO THE SI SESSIONS.
Mrs. McCutchen is a very nice professor and she knows he stuff about accounting. She is very caring for her students and offers a lot of office hours for students to get help when/if needed. ACCT225 is a fairly difficult course, but she helps guide you through it and teaches well. She does not deserve the hate and I would take this class again.
She's a nice person, but unless you want to struggle take a different professor. Lectures are hard to stay awake in and the exams are very difficult.
ACCT 225 is a hard course in general and Mrs. McCutchen was stern but a great teacher. You knew exactly what was needed to get the grade you wanted in the class. There was zero excuse for late work and a lot of hw which was challenging. GO TO THE SI and study hard and you will do good.
I thought Professor McCutchen's was a very good professor, she does a good job at explaining things to help you understand the concepts. The way she taught worked well for me. This class is difficult in general you have to put in the effort.
This is just a hard class. You have to study and put in the work to get a good grade. Homework is fairly reasonable, and the SI I had was amazing. Definitely go to office hours, SI sessions, and study study study!! I honestly really liked professor McCutchen. She was very organized and confident in her teaching style.
The class is hard in itself, but I think she actually cares about teaching the material and getting to know some of the students. She is a very sweet lady, but is not a push over. She will not offer extra credit or give you points back or bump up your grade. But as long as you study its not bad. She also uses iclicker, but you get 3 skips.
She really cares about what she is teaching. Her lectures are engaging. I will say that you really should study before exams though. The connect homework is often challenging and takes many attempts. You have to put the work in, but she is a big help.
AMAZING professor!! Was very clear on what was going to be on the exams and gave a good amount of assignments to prepare.
Mrs. McCutchen is probably one of the best accounting professors in Darla. Tough class, but if you stay engaged, stay on top of your homework, and (actually) study for the tests, you will do great. Highly recommend taking her!
McCutchen is the best ACCT prof at Darla. She is so sweet and talks to her students before class starts on a personal level, but is also a great, clear lecturer when class begins. She knows acct well, and does a great job at explaining new and/or confusing concepts to students. She also gives outlines before exams that are helpful for studying.
Accounting is not an easy course. However, Mrs. McCutchen is an amazing teacher that forces you to actually understand the material. As long as you pay attention and study, doing well is achievable. You are only allowed 3 unexcused absences.
mccutchen is the best acct225 teacher. she is very personable and knows what she is talking about. the class is hard but if you take notes good in class and do all the examples in the back of the book you should make As on the exams.
Worst professor in the world. Very unclear about a lot of instruction and very tough to find an understanding. Her lectures are her just talking about problems, and the only way to be successful is teaching yourself outside of class. If possible, take anyone but her. Teacher's job is to teach, not make the students teach themselves.
She is very kind and knowledgeable about her subject. That being said, be prepared to struggle. Make sure to take notes on chapters, as she does not teach in class but instead quickly reviews the material and does problems. Office hours are helpful, and she gets to know you. Tests are hard but cover learned material, so just study and do the hws
Amazing professor! I got a 60 on the first exam, and she was more than willing to help me prepare for the next one, and I got A's on every exam after. She gives a lot of homework, but that is what made me successful. Homework and in-class questions mirror the exams. Just put in the work outside of class and you with be successful.
this class is SO hard!!! do not take if you don't have to
she is a great professor, she cares a lot about her students and has many helpful resources. her lectures are very helpful, however reading the textbook as well is the best way to succeed
Great teacher, very good at explaining and has lots of resources to prepare you for the test. We have two homework assignments a week and they are light. If you pay attention in class you will do fine.
she is an amazing teacher for acct225, makes the content easy to understand for people with little/no experience with accounting or business courses. 2 homework assignments every week that are essentially based on completion and do count toward your grade, along with 3 extra credit assignments during the mid/end of semester. shes awesome
Just drop out if this is your accouting professor
I would highly recommend this professor! My major is accounting, so I was a little worried taking an accounting course for the first time. She is really nice, and explains the material well in a way you can understand. Also, she is really easy to ask questions to, and finds a way to explain it where it makes sense. Take notes during lecture!
Class is impossible. Exams are the only grade that matter. Homework and quizzes takes at least an hour. ultimately fade this class.
She gets a bad reputation at times, but as long as you study the material you should be okay. She explains everything very well during lectures, just make sure to pay attention and take notes. The exams are only 20 questions, while the final is 25 questions, which sucks because your grade really only reflects that.
Mrs. McCutchen, is a great Accounting 225 teacher, she explains the material very well and makes her lectures engaging. There are 2 homeoworks a week and they take +1 hour. The test determine a lot of your grade but the SI sessions are very helpful and so are her review videos. She wants her students to do well, overall a very nice lady!
I thought the class was okay until she told us the grading system, and it was all test heavy you can pass the classes if you didn't do any homework or quizzes and just did good on the tests. The textbook is insanely expensive for this course so withdrawing from this class was a complete waste of my time and my money and made me change my major.
Lectures every class but is very knowledgeable in what she teaches. If you miss multiple classes you will have a lot to catch up with. Not an easy class but she makes it bearable and passable. Tests can be hard but if you do the homework and quizzes you will pass with a little bit of studying.
I love her so much. She is very educated and extremely easy to follow. She is very blunt and honest so be ready for that. She over prepares you for exams and gives a ton of practice problems. She is always accessible to help students and wants everyone to succeed. I do not get the hate on her she is very good. TAKE HER CLASS.
If this is your accounting professor literally good luck. Her tests are difficult for no reason and she's honestly so rude. Idk why people are giving her a high rating they're honestly lying. Start preparing like a month before the exam. Take any other professor for 225 I beg. Good luck!
Amazing professor, would absolutely take this class again. You need the textbook, it's not the greatest thing ever but it really helps. Lectures are really helpful, doesn't let you record lectures but takes notes with you so it's easier. Professor knows what they're doing and you'll leave the class knowing accounting basics.
I recommend everyone that has to take 225 to take her class! Accounting will be a difficult class no matter what and she explains things really good and repeats the important stuff all the time which helps me remember it. You can also tell that she really wants her students to succeed in the class and in life in general. She's also super nice!
She is so sweet! She really cares about her students and makes accounting easy to understand, as long as you pay attention and work outside of class. Take notes on the chapter before class, since it's a lot of content to get through. Participate, she's awesome!
The homework assignments are easy to get nearly full credit on especially if you use your resources and the "quizzes" are graded on completion. I realistically spent 2-3 hours on this class each week outside of lecture time. She does use iClicker but I would argue that attending lectures are essential for understanding of the material anyway.
Solid class. Professor McCutchen is caring, but has a very strict attendance policy (If you miss 3 classes, your entire grade is dropped by one letter grade). Smartbooks' homework was due the night before she started teaching material from that chapter, which I found frustrating/confusing. 3 exams and a cumulative final.
McCutchen is such a thorough and good teacher for such a hard topic. Take the chance on her, people think that shes bad because the class itself is hard, but shes the best option in comparison to other teachers and she truly cares about every single student's success and sets everyone up to do well. It just depends on how much you put into it.
Mrs. McCutchen was such a delightful teacher. Her layout is very straightforward. You go through about a chapter each week, with an at home quiz on the textbook before you learn the material in class, then HW practice later that week. All materials are posted online; you want to memorize the PPTs. Do not skip. She does essential practice in class.
Ms. McCutchen was incredible. Her lectures are really engaging and she teaches the material really well. Attending class is a must for understanding information since her class is somewhat difficult, but she provides so many resources to help you succeed. She cares so much about making her students successful in accounting, take her!!!
Super kind and funny and cares about her student's success. 225 will be a difficult class regardless of who is teaching it and she made topics easier to understand. If you study and put in the time you will easily be able to get at least a C. She does take attendance with iClicker, but lectures are important for this course anyway.
Probably the best teacher for acct 225. The class is pretty hard without prior accounting knowledge, I doubt that's her fault. The SI sessions were very good it might have been harder for me to pass without them. She is a good teacher with pretty good lectures. You have to always attend and really focus to do good though.
Very lecture and exam heavy. One homework assignment and quiz every week, but you get unlimited attempts so you should get 100 on all of them. Exams make up 85% of final grade. First 3 are 20 questions all multiple choice, final is 25 questions. She is a good professor if you go to class and pay attention.
