In our anatomy lab she expects you to go over the material by yourself. However, if you have questions, she is very willing to help and she's very patient and nice. Her quizzes are hard because I'm never really sure what she's going to put on there. It's not like she picks up a bone and asks you what it is, instead you need to know small details.

She's a really great teacher. She really cares if you pass or not, and she will help you with anything you don't understand. Anatomy is not an easy class no matter who your teacher is, but she makes it enjoyable and she's very approachable. Take her class!

I won't sit here and tell you that this class is easy. That would just be flat out lying, but McNew is more than happy to help out whenever possible. Once you get to know her she can be quite funny, and I am looking forward to A&P 2 with her.

Taking Mrs. McNew for AP1 really helped prepare me for her in AP2. The class picked up right where we left off and knowing her teaching style really helped. Attendance is a must, but Mrs. McNew always helps when asked. It has been a pleasure taking her classes.

Not that great of notes, she would start telling one thing and say she would come back to it, and never come back. She also taught a little slow some days and then would rush and skip a lot the next day. She was defiantly entertaining , would make weird analogies in her lectures.

I had Dr. McNew for both BS113 and BS114. I received an A in 113 and a B in 114. She is a very good professor. She is always willing to lend a helping hand or explain any questions. The content is very difficult though. However, if you go to class and pay attention, you should be fine. Studying and keeping up with the readings is a must though!

She is a great teacher! She uses powerpoints for outlines and then writes on the board, draws pictures, and shows animations, so it helps with all types of learners. Another part of this class is the lab and you have to make sure that you really memorize everything in there or it will really hurt your grade.

For all you PE majors majors mcnew is the one to take..I flagged dr woods class but taking mcnew I was able to get an B+,A-,(depending on final ) both are excellent, but woods tests are crazy hard,make you think way outside the box,mcnew is more straight forward with what she wants u to study

This class was all online except for the lab and the once a week recitation I attended. All tests and quizzes were online which made it so easy to pass the class. Watching the lectures isn't crucial but it definitely helps to watch them. The class was super interesting and she was really helpful.

FANTASTIC professor. A&P is hard, but taking it with McNew is your best choice. Her classes are so fun to go to and listen to her talk about what she is passionate about. There is no homework so your grade is like 25% quizzes and 75% exams. If you need help, she is more than willing to meet with you to get you help.

Shes a very nice professor. Lectures every class and all the info for tests are in lecture, you dont need the book. Class grades are split with lab so that can either make or break your grade. Only 4 exams, no other grades besides the 3 point extra credit homework assignments due before each exam which dont do anything to your grade.

Great extra credit opportunities! Attendance not mandatory but definitely worth it if you want to retain the info. Clear lectures that are easy to understand and follow. Amazing exam study materials! Also super nice and cares about her students!!

Prof Shannon is fantastic - her lectures are engaging and she truly cares about student success. The class can be tough, but using resources like Unstuck ai along with the course materials makes it manageable. Definitely take this class if you can.

Professor McNew was another one of my favorite professors. She made learning fun, and that is always something I look for in professors. Would recommend anyone to take a class with her. I had a lecture with her, but a TA named Mylissa Williams led the lab. She was more than happy to help any of her students if they were struggling.

McNew is a great professor! She cares about her students and their learning. Exams are heavy for this course, but she does a great job of teaching in lecture. She will do Quizziz after some chapters to help prepare you for the exams. I would recommend McNew to anyone!

McNew has been my favorite professor i've had in terms of my required nursing classes. She has amazing lectures and really puts the time in to let the students understand the material. She is always open for questions and will be supportive if needed. She's awesome!
