Shannon is excellent, dedicated, and energetic professor. Although I thought it was going to be hard my very first semester at college, She made it quite easy for me. The way she does her job is just helpful because she got the students attention. I'm impressed and encouraged to continue with my career goals. Great work with Counseling 116!!!

I took Counseling 116 for intersession and it was so easy. I passed with an A even though I didn't turn in two assignments. You learn about yourself and what career is best for you. It went by so fast and it never seemed like we were working.

I took her strategies for college success class during my first semester at OCC and the information and advice she gives throughout the class is something that I'll probably use all through college. She's really nice and her class was fairly easy. It was mainly just quizzes based on her lectures and a few group projects.

I think it should be mandatory for any student who is unsure what they want to do in life or for anybody that needs reassurance in their strengths, this class is a must. This class involves weekly one page papers due. (it is not hard at all, easy topics) during class lectures she likes to put people into random groups.

She is great at what she does which is why she chose this career. she makes the class really fun. she also gives you activities and if you do them you get extra credit for them. Best counselor/counseling professor i had. I would also recommend my friends on taking on her class if they are unsure on what they want to be.

She is amazing! Loved this class. I was very skeptical about my major and this class definitely directed me in my future path and I feel so confident about the career I want to pursue now.

Participation matters a lot you will be asked to answering many questions that will involve your classmates meaning making comments. Also there will be essays to write when a draft is grade it will come back with great feedback to make corrections, but also in all assignments will have feedback on how you did.

This is a critical thinking class that focuses on rhetoric, persuasion, and argument. I found this class super helpful in improving my writing skills.
