This class is harder than an intro theatre class should have to be. Text book is short but you have to read a lot of plays and see three, which you have to write play reports on. Unless you can't find someone better, I wouldn't recommend her.

Such a easy class and she re-uses all her old tests, so if you can find someone who had taken her and kept the test you'll be fine all year long! Take second semester so you'll find the tests easier! Nice and very funny also..keeps class interesting.

Test are straight from reviews. Extra credit is easily available. If you show that you are at least trying you will get a good final grade.

Pointless busy work! I guess its an easy class, everyone cheated. Find someone who has taken it, she uses the same tests every year. If you want this class only to fulfill a Fine Arts credit, at least take something cool...like the History of Rock 'n Roll

She is great her test are a complete replica of the reviews she wants you to particpate and love Theatre for what it is and not just as a course. Wonderful professor. Aim for an "A".

Oral reviews are exactly whats on exams. Old ones can be found. Five quizzes, two papers, one group project. Must see two plays, and read five. If you do your work, it's surely an A or B.

Listen to what she has to say, take notes, read the assignments, and go to the plays. She will help you with anything and everything if you just ask for her help. You will only fail by not trying. Made A's on everything!!

Her class is pretty easy. There's a lot of reading but all the plays are pretty short and so is the text. We don't really do much in class. She's cool.

She's excellent! The class was fairly easy as long as you did the assigned things which weren't too much to do..we had fun in the class and it was very laxed, but you still learn some things..and for the tests she tells you exactly what you need to know

very easy class. tests and quizzes are very easy. she gives the questions to the tests. i didnt read any of the plays and have gotten 100s on ALL of them. just go to the plays and you will be ok.

This class is SOOOOO boring! Everyday we go over sections of the book. We have to read 5 plays...none of which are interesting. The tests are fill in the blank and listing. It is harder than it is worth...its an elective!!! Try something else!

Knows her material very well, but takes the class WAY too seriously. This is an elective, basic requirement class, and she treats it like a sr. 300-400. She fails to see that most students in that class are NOT theatre majors. Run away!!

Take her if you need this credit for your core classes. Very clear and tells you exactly what you need to know for the test. There is alot of info for the tests...but if you study you'll be just fine. She also takes alot of extra credit!!

Her test are very hard it is fill in the blank. She gives you the information that is going to be on the test, but it is alot of work and gives you the review the day before the test. She is very helpful just take advantage of the extra-credit.

She's cool. She really likes what she's doing and it shows, but the class isn't a slack off easy grade either... it's not HARD, but don't think it's going to be a breeze... Try not to think too hard and you'll do fine...

Super sweet woman. Easy class. Very little work...interesting lectures. Tells you EXACTLY what is on the test all you have to do is study. You have to put effort into failing this class, it's too easy. I'd take it again, I love it.

i took theatre befor and still enjoyed her class. hint: make flashcards to study for tests (which are fill in the blank format). it will help very much.

Remember one thing before taking this class from her. This is not HS and if you're like all of the other lil' cry babies who have complained about this class you had better grow up and do it soon! This is college! The class is a BLAST!!!

Great class. It's a ton of fun and all different requirements are worth about equal credit so if you do poorly on a test its not the end of the world. The worst thing is reading all those plays. They can be boring, but the rest of the class makes up for it. I definately recommend.

This class was really easy for me. As long as u do the work it's not too bad. She lectures once every 2 weeks and u get to watch movies. The plays are fun and u only have to write one paper. There are a lot of quizzes and tests but as long as u keep up with everything u'll do fine. She's very nice!!

This class requires studying - do not be fooled by other comments. This teacher makes it pretty interesting even to the uninterested. If you need help - ask - she will help you.

She is a good teacher, classes vary some days you watch a movie and others you get out early. She tells you everything that is going to be on the test, but yes you do have to study this information to do well on the test. I would recommend her!!

great prof! listen to what she says and follow instructions and you will do great. work is not hard and you actually get to see shows. highly recommend her.

Mrs. Ellsworth is a great professor. She made us read " a raisin in the sun" and it's an amazing play. Her discussions are good, and she is helpful. She doesn't lecture, instead gets the class involved.

This class is soooo easy and she is really interesting. This is class is not demanding at all.

I liked the class. She keeps it moving really well and usually will let you out early. She even gave us the chance to ask questions two mins. before the tests! She's really helpful and if she is in her office you're more than welcome to come in and talk about almost anything!

Sounds like a lot of reading at the beginning, but it's spread out and the plays are really interesting. There is an oral project at the end of the semester, if you get nervous in front of large crowds, it might not be a good idea

She is a "must take" professor! The class is great but there is a departmental attendence policy. She will work with you as long as you don't b.s. her. Recommend her to anyone!!!

this is my 2nd time taking the class. had someone else before and made a d. took her and mad a b. shes fun and excitng. go to cvlass bcause the department has an attendence policy and she cant fudge it, but will help you if she can.

i didnt know if i would like the class or not but ended up loving it. she is great and very very helpful. i made a b in the class but it was because i was absnt to much. there is an atendence policy and i knew about it but messed up. take her if you can, she is awesome.

Ellsworth is an awesome professor. Sh'e very easy going and down to earth. I forgot to write my paper for a play and she said turn it in by the end of the day, so I had to write fast and crapy and I still made a B on the paper. just show up. Take her, you won't regret it.

she is absolutely fabulous!!!!!! No one can compare!!!! This is my second time taking the class, had someone else b4 and he sucked. she is very helpful and understanding. The shows are fun too go to and the tests are reviewed in detail. First rate PROF!

She rocks. Don't miss any classes because the department has an attendance policy. You get a few absences for free but after that it counts against you. Explains in detail what is on the test. Fun class. Take her before anyone else or you'll end up taking her as a repeat course because you failed or did poorly in the other class.

She is AMAZING! She has a few quizzes that come out of books that you have to read, but the quizzes are so easy! She tells you everything that is on tests!! Attendance is mandatory, but she gives a few days to be absent and then she starts counting off. I would recommend anyone to take her.
