she was a good teacher, her accent wasn't that bad, she generally cared if you were doing bad and as along as you talk to her shewill probably try to help you out.

Pretty easy class if you have had calc before. Good teacher - accent a little hard to understand, but you get by. I enjoyed her class, however she can put you to sleep sometimes. Good class

Great teacher. Yes, she's Indian, so she has a slight accent, but it's not like you can't understand what she's saying. Explains everything VERY thoroughly, gives detailed handouts for each class, is fun and friendly, but not so good when you need help out side of class. Very easy assignments!

She's so nice. If you do the homework, you should pass. She only assigned the odd numbered problems, and she would work them out in front of you if you asked. She gave sample tests that are almost exactly like the real tests. An easy A.

she's the sweetest person ever! she's so cute too cuz she doesn't know english slang. she has a slight accent but i didn't have any difficulties understanding her and i have problems with accents. she teaches you straightforward and if you don't understand she's more than happy to help. gives daily quizes but they're easy. homework isn't hard.

I had her this semester for 242 and last semester for 241 and shes honestly a great teacher..just do her homework(even tho i never did :P) lol but just do it and it will pay off.. her tests are easy and she even has an optional make up test. she grades liniently and always willing to help.very friendly with students. too bad she dont teach ma243 :(

She may repeat herself or go very slowly, but she only wants her students to understand the material. I recommned her if you cannot get doctor ross, lambardo, siva, or kaba .

She tries really hard to explain the material in a way everyone will understand and if she repeats herself, its to help the people struggling to understand. She is more than willing to help after class and in her office. Some of her methods are slightly odd, but overall, shes a great professor.

Very nice and easy professor.She goes over the material that is on the homework everyday and answers questions when you turn it in.Although she has a little Indian accent, you can understand everything she teaches easily. Her tests are easy. I have a 100 in her class =)

It seems like a lot of people rate her based on the subject material, not her teaching. She's great. If you need her to back up and explain something again, she'll gladly do it. MA345 sucks, but she makes it bearable. She offers help freely and cares about her students. It shows. And, freshmen... Teachers have accents here at Riddle. Get over it.

Chakrabarti is super nice, and will explain a problem until you get it, she knows everyone's name by the 2nd class, and the homework is relatively simple. the only problem are her tests, she throws the hardest of the hardest problems on the test and there is never a problem in class or on the homework as complicated as the tests.

Incredible! I would take her again for anything. One of the best teachers I've had. She's very nice and a wonderful teacher. She really knows her stuff, and encourages questions. Do the homework and review it before a test and you will be fine.

One of the best math teachers I have had. She leaves plenty of time for people's questions and is very helpful. She goes through the steps of solving problems and shows many examples in class. I recommend taking her for anything.

Honestly, the best math teacher I've ever had, hands down. She will bend over backwards to help you understand the material. She is super sweet and definitely knows her stuff. Also, she'll make brownies for everyone one day during the semester. Math and brownies, how much better does life get?

She is a very nice teacher. She is clear and concise and would explain till you understand the problem. However, tests could take you by surprise. Study homework problems and try solving more complex problems of the same form and you will be good. Take advantage of office time and enjoy the sweet brownies served. Good luck.

I was pissed that ERAU didn't give her MA345. She is so helpful and clear in her lectures. I barely had to study for tests; which are not easy. BEST TEACHER AT ERAU!!!!!!

Chakrabarti made this class extremely enjoyable! She's very kind and clear, and her grading is fair. She takes the time to get know and care about each student, so she's very helpful individually as well as in lecture. You'd be crazy to pass up one of her classes!

Chakrabarti is a very good professor. The material wasn't always exhilarating, but she taught it well. A lot of us couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or actually would get upset with us due to her accent, but we quickly learned she was just being sarcastic. Definitely recommend her, really good teacher.

Probably the best Calculus professor I've ever had. She was very good at teaching the material and making sure you know what you're doing on your assignment and on the tests. She makes understanding easy, and without any ridiculous amounts of studying you can easily pass the tests with a good grade. Great teacher, will definitely take her again.

This has to be one of the best Math teachers I have ever taken! Very very nice and very helpful. She is there for you. Her lectures are great and very easy to understand. She makes confusing material easy to get. Has office hours and helpful in them. If you do your homework and study the material, easy A. I got a high 90 in this class overall.

The best mathematics professor I have taken at Riddle thus far. She explains things so clearly and teaches so well. Her voice is oddly soothing actually. She is a phenomenal professor and you should do everything you can to take her courses.

She teaches pretty clearly, and is always willing to help out. Usually replaces a test with your final and drops some homework and quiz grades. Tests are a lot like the homework, so know that well and you'll do fine.

Sharmistha Chakrabarti gives lectures that are easy to follow and relate clearly to the homework, quizes, and tests. Before her class I didn't prefer math, now I'm looking at getting two math minors! I want to take more classes from her. I can't say enough good things about her.

Dr. Chakrabarti is an amazing math professor. She is extremely clear, especially for someone who's first language may not have been English. She is easy to understand and learn from. Also, the homework is minimal while adequately preparing you for all of the tests if you are willing to review them.

One of the best professors at Embry-Riddle. Took her for MA242 and MA243HON and will be taking her for MA345HON. She teaches in a way that is very easy to understand, and if you don't understand, she is always happy to help during office hours. One of the most caring professors I've ever had!!!

I had her for 243 and 345. Hands down my favorite professor on campus. She explains things in an understandable and organized fashion. Her tests are similar to homework and typically have a bonus question. She will sometimes give hints to difficult hw questions as well. She is very caring and always answers your questions.

Extremely smart, caring & honest. She considers math an "art-form" & teaches the material very diligently & is understandable if calculus doesn't come easy to you. Her #1 priority is her students understanding the material & will work with you for hrs after class if you want, but she expects a lot, is a tough grader & the tests are challenging.

Shes an absolutely fabulous professor. She does a great job explaining concepts and her handwriting is super easy to read. My only complaint is that she doesnt give partial credit on tests, but you are allowed to submit three questions if you want for partial credit. Great calc teacher.

A very solid choice! She derives formulas for you and then does examples. Has a clear syllabus to show what is done/due when. Very accessible outside of class and very happy when she gets questions. I can tell she loves teaching and her students. Class goes kind of fast, but if you ask for help, you'll pass with a good grade. Final was optional.

Amazing drawings during lectures make her class easy to understand. It is difficult, but she makes it a lot easier.

Great, kind professor who's super helpful if you're struggling. Calculus is a tough subject but if you ask for help she'll always provide it for you. Absolutely attend office hours ASAP if you didn't understand something during the lecture, because difficulties can add up quick, but she'll absolutely explain it for you.

I took professor Chakrabarti for MA 143. I always had a difficult time in math (failed algebra once and precalculus twice). This professor was the only person in the last few years that was able to get the point across to me and teach me well. She is extremely caring (will help you with any question) and is consistent with the flow of assignments
