She was one of the best teachers I've had. She loves what she does, has a great sense of humor, and teaches the material very well. She keeps you interested. I highly recommend Dr. Baker!

Dr. Baker is what professors should be like! She doesn't just go to work a regular job. She makes it a point for everyone to understand what she's teaching. She's not pushy or strict. It's up to you if you want to pass. She does over 100% of her job to teach, and does it in a real good way. She's understands and dedicates herself to teaching PSY

Dr. Baker is a great teacher. She keeps everything organized, tests get graded and returned ASAP, along with homework and any other extra credit. Lots of e.c by the way, and overall a great class. She makes it simple, and DEFINITELY buy the study guide if you want an A.

Dr. Baker really made our 8am psych class a blast. She always had us up and out of our seats moving around the room and we did a lot of group work. She really made psychology an easier subject to learn. Just show up to class, do the homework and study guides and you'll be fine.

One of my friends recommended me to her class, and I couldn't have been happier. Really good at explaining concepts, and you can download her notes and study guide from online. Provided extra credit, which I did just for fun. Her bright personality makes me look forward to going to psychology, even though I previously had no interest in it.

Sharon Baker is a wonderful teacher. She gives PLENTY of extra credit. Some is automatically built into the tests. You will have to use the text, so if you think you can get by without reading the text you will fail. She teachers in different ways to help people learn with different learning styles.

Absolutely the best, hands down

Fun teacher. Always starts class in an energetic mood. Explains every section/chapter clearly. Quizzes/exams are not that difficult as long as you study. She's a fair grader and you have the opportunity to get almost 20pts extra credit. But, I think class is a little backwards. The quizzes are first then the lecture. So you're on your own for them.

I loved having Dr. Baker as a teacher! She always made class fun, she used the clickers, group activities, and other methods! We had to do a book report near the end of the semester, but it was not that bad. MAKE SURE TO READ THE CHAPTER BEFORE THE ONLINE QUIZ! I would recommend getting the study guide it really helped me! You must take her!:)

Dr. Baker is a really nice teacher and very understanding. Her grading is fair and simple, and she usually hands out rubrics. You WILL have to read the textbook, unless you want to fail. You have weekly online quizzes, which are easy as long as you do the readings. Her tests are easy too. She is the best teacher I've had so far. :)

Dr. Baker was my first psych teacher and hopefully my only one! She explains everything well. The book is definitely needed, there are weekly quizzes and tests every three chapters. I loved this class.

Seriously great teacher. Very Friendly. Encourages discussion. She's funny and interesting too. And really helpful if you don't understand something. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Baker is incredible! She is very knowledgeable and clear on expectations. She's a fair teacher and makes class very interesting. Uses powerpoints for her lectures and available to students. Quizzes before lectures online, but easy to complete and in the end extremely helpful. The class itself requires effort, but she prepares you well.

Dr.Baker is a great professor but expects a lot.. Every tuesday you have a quiz on one or 2 chapter maker sure you read before hand and you only have 15min. I believe she need better study material so you have a better understanding about the exam. Her class is a lot of work and time consuming. Requires lots studying .

I absolutely loved her!!! Great sense if humor and very knowledgable in her field, all you have to do to succeed is print the PowerPoint to follow along in class and when you read look at the vocab, that's what ur tested on. Quizzes are open book and tests are really easy, only negative is she's a tough grader on papers, and you only have to write one

Extremely helpful. Don't always need the book, lecture notes are detailed and typically enough for study. Has great study guides and is always willing to meet with students during office hours for help. She has a fun, but pretty strict personality and expects you to pull your weight, but is extremely understanding that life happens as well.

Definitely one of the best professors I've had at ECC. She's kind, caring, and considerate and expects the same in return. She makes psychology fun and I never wanted to miss a class because of her personality and obvious love for the subject. Easy if you pull your weight. I highly recommend Dr. Baker!!

Quality teaching with a great sense of humor. You read the chapter before class (*bookmark the interim summaries) and take the quiz online which is worth an easy 300/1000 points. On D2L there's learning objectives, crossword puzzles, and tutorial quizzes to review which are super helpful. Stay on top of everything + capitalize on extra credit = A.

Dr. Baker is awesome! Right before we start our lesson she asks if there's any questions on the chapter before we proceed. She makes sure we understand everything. You need to study and read the book though. You will fail if you don't. Just apply yourself and you'll love her class! She's a great professor. I'm glad I took her class.

Great professor that provided a comfortable environment for students. Also provided extra credit for students by having students participate in class activities. The class required a quiz online every week there wasn't a test, which made up a major part of grades.

1. She lets you know exactly what the grading scale is going to be like. 2. She uses a power point with questions and lets you use a clicker to answer that way, her students don't feel bad when they don't answer the correct answer. 3. Very helpful, loves to explain and share person connection w students. 4. She a BOMBSHELL.

I took Dr. Baker for intro to psychology and everything she does makes sense and makes the class so much easier. I don't think psychology is a naturally easy subject but there are only three chapters per exam not cumulative. On the exams she makes them up differently for each on but it makes it easier. Definitely have to go to class to understand.

Best teacher at ECC. I'm a very focused student, maybe even uptight at times. She is very interactive. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. I don't know how else to describe her. She's genuine and very easy to understand. Stay engaged in class, which isn't hard to do with her, and you'll get an A.

By far the best instructor I've ever had!! Passionate about her job and puts topics in perspective so students can develop a better understsnding. Makes class fun and cares about students progress. Engages the class in discussion and does not make you feel stupid or place pressure on you for giving incorrect answers. Great personality! Intelligent.

You need to read the book if you want to pass. Gives weekly quizzes which act as great refreshers for the unit tests. Participation and attendance is a must. She's so sweet and genuine. Always willing to help and really lends a good ear.

Dr. Baker is one of the best teachers I have ever had at ECC. I took her for PSY 100 and decided to take her again for an upper level class. She is very professional, yet personable with her students. Read the textbook, do the learning objectives, participate, and you will be fine.

I clearly have favoritism for psychology, but Dr. Baker is clearly rated as one of the nest for a reason. She understands that her class is hard, but also does the best for her students to understand. Whether or not you get a good grade is your fault and not hers. Do the L.O., study hard, and you will get a good grade.

Great teacher! She is very good at what she does. Her expectations of you are very clear but you do need to work hard to receive an A. She is very knowledgeable and makes class a fun experience. Not the easiest class but she is such a good teacher that you will not mind putting in the extra work.

Dr. Baker is one of my favorite professors at ECC. She's clear, organized, and friendly. This class was based off of participation, attendance, online quizzes, and exams. She would even offer extra credit! Reading the textbook is essential if you want to do well on the exams and quizzes. I would take her again if i could.

Baker was an awesome teacher but it definetly was not a blow off class. You have to do the learning objectives on your own to pass the test and you have weekly quizzes. Need the book to pass and there is a lot of reading involved. I worked really hard but I didn't get the A. Put in the work and you will pass.

I had doctor baker for intro and holy crap she is an amazing teacher. she is nice, and sweet and funny, and she will put in as much as you do. I loved taking this class. Dr. Baker is a great teacher and i really learned alot from her. make sure you do the quizzes every week and study the powerpoints and the book for the tests. Participate in class to ensure you get all the points you can. Do the work because there really arent any extra points to help pull your grade up.

Lectures everyday so it can get boring. Takes attendance daily and expects participation. If you take notes, read the book, and do the learning objectives you'll do ok on tests which are pretty tough. Assigns 5-7 page paper. Overall OK teacher just not for everyone.

She is very nice and caring for her students. Attendance is mandatory as you are graded on it but that's a small price to pay. She is a great teacher, clear cut and there if you need her! Love Dr Baker, took two of her classes and I've never learned so much from another professor. Weekly quizzes, you've gotta read the book because you take the quizzes before her lectures. Tests are straight forward, but you gotta study. Her lectures are great, provide so much info. Has good stories. Highly recommend her abnormal psych class.

Here is what to expect: Gives fake dollars to track participation credit. Interesting lectures, must read all chapters to pass online quizzes (20 mins, 10 ?'s for each). Learning Objectives are long, but extremely helpful (let's u use them on tests). Plays Jeopordy for extra credit before each test. Super sweet, gives all materials needed to pass.

She was great. If you do everything she tells you to do like the learning objectives, learning curves for extra credit, and participate you will succeed. You have plenty of opportunities for extra credit plus you can use the learning objectives for exams. Definitely recommend her.

Professor Baker was very sweet and clear on her expectations. Her tests were very tedious; although, you can use your learning objectives on them. If you plan on taking her, make sure you do ALL the quizzes and go to class! One research paper is required, which is 100 points and very easy! This class requires a lot of time and reading.

I had Baker for Abnormal Psychology and we covered a lot of things in the semester. She talks all throughout class and all her powerpoint are accessible through D2L. She would have objectives for every chapter and lets you use notes for the test. Had one research paper which was interesting. Be ready to read a lot and be quizzed on chapters

Sweetest teacher ever! Be prepared to read and do learning objectives every week and to have a quiz due every Monday. Overall, she does this to make sure you read and dont fall behind. Allows 2 absences before it affects your grade so choose them wisely. Very approachable and emails back quickly. Best psychology professor.

Great, caring, professor with fun lectures. You can tell she likes her job and is passionate about it. Every lecture is PowerPoint along with class activities, lectures are online accessible. Required reading often and there is one 5-7 pg paper. Tests and quizzes are given often, but not difficult and you get to use a reference sheet.

Dr. Baker is my all time favorite teacher. but you need the book and will have to read every chapter and study the least 5 hours a week. go to class and do the work and you will be fine. this is one of my favorite classes I have taken in college

A lot of homework but she does give completion points. You have a quiz every week but if you do the homework you'll get an A. Really good teacher, uses real life experiences. She does go a little fast so you'll defiantly have to go over it at home and class is mandatory. Overall, Id take her again!

Her class isn't too difficult, unless you hate reading & don't care for doing work on your own time. Be prepared to participate in class; she tracks participation with fake dollars, but it can be as simple as asking a question. Quiz every week, but they're online & only 10 questions. Sweet teacher who wants her students to actually learn.

Best class ever

She was a great teacher. I really enjoyed all her lectures and she does a great job at keeping you engaged. She has a regular amount of homework and there is a total of four exams.

Dr. Baker is an amazing teacher who is always so happy to see her students. She wants you to pass but will still make you work for it. PSYCH IS HARD!! DO NOT THINK U WILL GET AN EASY A! However, Dr. Baker makes the class a lot easier in my opinion because of her attitude and how she goes about teaching. No cumulative final! TAKE PSYCH WITH HER!

I took her twice once for PSY-100 and then again for PSY-216. She is heavy on participation but she makes it easy to get those points. She loves what she does and teaches very well. She gives lots of examples to help your understanding. If I could take her for a third time then I totally would. She's kind, sweet and very understanding.

Great instructors She helps out as much as possible. There is a 5-7 page report no final and light at the end. She is big on plagiarism and also lots and lots of reading. Clumps 3-4 chap in each exam. There are weekly quizzes.

Dr. Baker gives a weekly 10 multiple choice quiz, a 50 multiple choice exam every 3 chapters covered, and a 4 page writing assignment. Gives plenty of time for you to prepare and complete at home. Goes over material students find the hardest to understand and does many student activities that are very helpful. No hw, easy if you just read the book.

Amazing professor! Only thing is she only offers hybrid classes, which means meeting only once a week. In that class time she only goes over the harder concepts of the chapter. In order to get a good grade in the class you have to spend 6+ hours a week on this course alone. I do highly recommend this class because she makes it fun and interesting.

She offers lots of extra credit, participation is mandatory but it is very easy to participate, her quizzes can get confusing for lack of specification and they are timed. They are home quizzes tho so open notes and book. but overall good teacher

Professor Baker was a great instructor. Does use a textbook which is great to complete study guides for weekly quizzes and the final. One paper due early on so "it doesn't stress students out during midterms" as she said. Final was open note and based on about 6 units she announced a week prior. Lectures very intriguing, great material learned.
