Has some major problems with finding favourites ans forgetting about all others in the class. Isn't very clear with instructions and then can't understand why you don't know what is going on.

I had her my first year of college and I knew nothing about computers as a teacher and by the time I left her class I had a whole new respect for them and how helpful they are. She was a great way to start college and I hope I have more teachers like her.

i think the course itself is very dry, most people these days know how to make powerpoints... however, she is very knowledgeable and spontanious. i like we can view/submit our assignments and take our weekly quizes online from home. shes up-to-date with eveything she does, be it her lectures, her clothes, or her 'meaningless' celeberty convo's

Far too much time spent on material unrelated to technology. A very nice person, but a frustrating instructor. I have not talked to anyone who is pleased with her lectures.

I saw Sharon as she was about to leave school. She went out of her way to help me get to a class where I could complete a project I was working on (nothing to do with her class).She could have easily told me she was on her way out. Instead she took time to talk to me (about her class I'm in)and walked me to a lab.Those are traits of a good teacher.

she was awesome...she would answer every question a student asks her and she'll make sure you understand the answers she gives...she was hilarious with her classes and would joke with the students in our class...not a tough marker but she is tough enough that you have to do good work...very intelligent and thorough..i really enjoyed her lectures

Lectures were the biggest waste of time! Too much emphasis on non-technology related topics. Very nice lady, but nice doesn't make you a good teacher. Not very organized, and focused more on being "a nice person" as opposed to a "knowledgeable teacher".

This class was very boring, but I think Sharon did a reasonable job of teaching it, as I can't see how it could be made enjoyable. Her exams are easy and she is very friendly and approachable. Also all her notes are on WebCT so you can miss a class without too much difficulty. However, I hated how the course had so much info on psychology concepts.

Sharon is awesome, the class itself is not that difficult - just a lot of work. The class focuses too much on ed psych - not her fault though. I found her to be VERY organized - and interesting to listen to.

Wow, This lady is the WORST teacher ever. First off, she taught us stuff that had nothing to do with the tests, second this idiot told us we had half short answer and half mutiple choice for our final, we go there and what do I see, 75% fill in the blanks, what a total idiot she is.

Her class notes are haphazard and poorly organized. She does not explain properly for the concrete sequential learner. She repeats herself too often and reads directly from her handouts (like she's not prepared at all!) - her WebCT is always having problems - and she's supposed to be a TECHNOLOGY TEACHER??!?!!?! Don't enjoy her at all.

I do not know what is wrong with the people complaing about this teacher. I hate computers but I love her class. I got the class at 8 in the morning so it helps that she is so upbeat, otherwise I would not be able to stay awake. She is a great help in the labs, I walk in not knowing what I am doing but am confident by the time she finishes her demo

LOVE HER!!! She actually cares about the student not just the work they do. Notes are posted on WebCT. No suprise questions on tests, just come to class and read the text. She's funny and nice. Ended up with an easy A. The lab is a lot of work though.

I felt her knowledge in the lab was excellent. Class wasn't too exciting but that was mainly due to the material. Only issue with this prof is that she favors students. If she likes you then you will do well in that class, if she doesn't like you then her attitude is less than helpful.

Sharon was an excellent professor. Like many of the ratings say, the material itself can be somewhat boring and slow moving, however Sharon does manage to make class actually quite interesting. She covered the material that we were tested on, so that made exams easy to prepare for. Overall, I would get her as a prof again. Plus she's quite cute.

ok i have very mixed feelings on this professor. she is a good teacher and knows her stuff, however, she DOES have her favourites and unfortunately if you are not one of them, you are at a loss. If you are lucky enough to be one of her favourites you will get extra help. If not, well...good luck.

Not a bad proff, but she really needs to realize that she is teaching a college level course, and not an elementary class. Also she was very shady when it came to exams. Our midterms were never returned, and zero details were given about the final. She was sick for the last class before the final, as well as for the final itself.

Sharon is an upbeat prof and keeps things interesting. However, she is disorganized at times and mixes answers up on the quizs and in class activities, which is just confusing for everyone.

We only used the textbook as test content. She's nice, but as said, very disorganized. She also teaches simplified and generalized information, so it's very basic. The tests are harder. As a mandatory course for a BEd, it was a relatively light load. Can't really complain. The group presentations displayed very helpful tools.

She was not very helpful at all. The first half of the course was ok but after the midterm it was strictly group presentations so we did not learn anything and we were tested on the last half of the textbook. She was incredibly unorganized when it came to everything.

By far the Most unorganized prof I have ever had. After the midterm, we didnt learn squat. Probably one of the hardest markers out there. You will not do good unless you go to her and ask her for clarifications on EVERYTHING. Only got 30% of our grade at the drop deadline. Slow Marker, didnt get any project parts back until the end.

She was a very nice lady to talk to one on one but when questions were asked in class about her quizzes or tests she was got very defensive. Classes were supposed to be an hour and 20 minutes each but were ended a lot earlier daily. Group projects were the main focus for the last part of the semester, which was way too time consuming, unfortunately

She is a nice lady, offers to help you when you have questions, but be warned. For being an EDIT prof, she sure does have some problems with technology. The guideline to her end of semester project are non exisistant.. so have fun with that, and she stopped teaching after midterms. The final is 100% based off the textbook.

The helpfulness category scale says it all: 1 is her perfect rating because she is utterly useless. If you are looking for a helpful or straightforward teacher, please find someone else. The course itself was not difficult, but her teaching actually made it harder to learn the information. For your sake, please find someone else. You're welcome.

Sharon is very unorganized. Lectures were useless as no lecture content was on the midterms or finals. Everything was based off of the textbook and group presentations. Going to class is a waste of time except for the second half. (Which consists of a group project and group presentations)

You do not have to go to class. The only thing to be aware of group presentations because you need to get the handouts. Study the text and the practice questions on line and you will fly by with an easy A.

Sharon is tough to get an answer from when it comes to marks. She becomes defensive easily and losses sight that school is just a type of work, it's not personal. I think she tries, but she is easily frustrated by small situations.

Very nice prof, lot of bad reviews and I'm not sure why. :( She had PowerPoints with notes (all up on BB) and her classes were very easy. Tests could get a little confusing but if the general consensus was negative, she changed the mark. Labs were harder, but as long as you showed up you got full marks. I would definitely recommend.

I had Sharon for the lab as well as the course. any issues I had with any assignment she clearly explained. Test questions got confusing at times but if majority did a poor job she fixed the mark She cares about all of her students & tries to get to know you on a personal level She provides lots of feedback Best prof I've had at Macewan thus far

She's an easy marker. But after she explains the content of the lab, she disappears. She does't know a lot about what she's teaching, and seems very disinterested. Has tantrums in class. Very slow at getting grades back, and gets VERY defensive when asked about them. I was not happy with her at all.

Assignments were ambiguous, course is not applicable to computer science, more about psychology. Class had too many assignments, and some appeared to be made up the day before. Weighting of each component was never divulged to the students, leaving us to go into the final exam with no idea what our grades were, or how they would be calculated.

Very disorganized, unclear, and scattered. She often confuses students with misguided directions and lacks specific instructions. Her examples of "what-not-to-do" and what is correct lack clarity. She is nice and will help you if needed, however the lectures and organization of class activities and projects lack insight and direction.

Honestly more than anything I was deeply disappointed by Sharon as a professor. I was looking forward to learning about using technology to benefit my students, but all I got was poor lecturing & boring slideshows with redundant questions. The groupindividual project is a complete gong show- WOULD NEVER have a class with her again.

Sharon is a very unreliable prof. The group assignment was so confusing. She would not clarify when emailed questions on how to complete the project. A response to my group from her via email was, "have you tried googling it?" Her lectures are pointless to go to and she had a habit of cancelling class 30 minutes prior to class starting.

This class was a joke, I probably could've shown up twice and gotten the same mark. Tons of group projects worth basically nothing. The main project is an easy A if you put effort into it and follow criteria. She's unclear on a lot of things though. Online quizzes are very easy.

The group project is terrible and beware of her ambiguous direction for the assignments as well as the horrifying grammatical and spelling errors. The final exam was the most thing ridiculous thing that I have ever taken, and I could not take it seriously. The vast majority of the time in class I felt like I was the adult and she was a child.

This class was pointless. I could have not gone and gotten the exact same mark. Assignments for participation she puts online, textbook is basically pointless. This class although required was a complete waste of time to show up. She often talks to us as though we are in elementary school, not adults. Easy, no need to show up. Hated this class.

I liked Sharon, in a way she almost expects you to kind of already understand some of the content which isn't difficult at all and since technology is changing all the time and being apart of a generation that was pretty much born with computers in our hands I didn't find this coarse hard at all and I did find Sharon very helpful and approachable.

Sharon is a very nice, easy going prof. Although she could be more clear on what she expects from you, as she changed the course outline two weeks before the end of classes. This class is a GPA booster, recommend to take.

SO SO SO SO SO Awful. Never would I wish this unethical prof on anyone. Didn't learn anything except not to trust her. she changed the syllabus two weeks before exams because she made up a bunch of assignments for in class when people didn't show up. such a waste of time and money.

My educ class was my only class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After going to class for 2 weeks I stopped. Reason being- Sharon went over her BB notes point for point in her lectures and that is all, something I could do at home w/out having an 80min commute. Read the textbook and her notes and you will pass with flying colors. VERY easy lab as well.

Sharon was not clear about anything. Grading criteria was changed last minute to punish those who did not attended class. Assignment are ambiguous and complicated and require you to participate in schools on your own terms. Would not recommend.

I completely regret taking her class, she isn't clear in any of her assignments and changed the course outline 2 weeks before the final. She is very condescending if you ask her a question and made a couple of racist comments. The class itself is super easy but if you want 10% worth of class participation(which was originally 4), you'll love her!

She genuinely seems like a caring person, and is definitely explicitly concerned about her students. She's also a terrible teacher. Example: She expects everyone attend her ridiculous labs (that require you to sign up for third party software/services you may not want to sign up for), but she also lets people leave after 10 minutes.

Pretty decent course. Not too difficult so I recommend to take during a harder semester to lighten the load. A few group projects and homework from lab but they do not take much time at all!

She's a really kind person, and down to earth. In class, it's kind of mandatory to go to because of class participation and paying attention in her lecture so you don't have to self learn lecture material because of quizzes and labs. She is always willing to help you with lab and answer your question, pretty picky when it comes to project parts.

Sharon cares about integrating different assessment and learning strategies into her courses. She understands that not everyone will be a strong test taker, or presenter, and thus the course was weighted in many different forms. Some were easy and enjoyable like writing blogs. Overall, the class was fun. Many guest speakers, one group project.

Sharon is a very nice person, but not the best prof. Her syllabus' allocated percentages are not clear, which means you don't know where you're sitting all semester. She will test you on things you never learnt or went over, and then will not let you review your exam. Heavy lectures, never knowing what is important, or what will be on an exam.

Very Jekyll and Hyde depending on the audience. Shows a level of kindness initially but turned out to be an insulting, terrible human being behind closed doors during an office hour. Untrustworthy and unprofessional. Would not recommend in the least.

You don't know who you get on any given day, whether you're in class, or on your own. This is especially true when you need to discuss a project or assignment. She can seem kind at one moment & can be condescending the next. Easily one the most horrible profs I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. Avoid her class.
