What an amazing prof!!!! I absolutely loved this class. She's hilarious and definitely cares about her classes. Lots of demonstrations and in class activities. I'm taking all of her classes, even the ones I don't need for my major, just to have her as a prof again.

SHe was an awsome person and very funny. Gave lots of examples and made it intersting but the tests are kinda in left field. She doesnt give you a study guide just lecture power point notes.

I took Dr. Hughes' Social Psychology class online. I've had negative online experiences prior to this, so I was expecting more of the same. Fortunately, Dr. Hughes made the class interesting and very fun, not a lot of busy work. Gives 14 weekly assignments and only requires you to complete 9...Great if you need a week off! Loved it!

Dr. Hughes was a fun teacher. You can tell she really knows her stuff and that she likes her job -- she wants you to understand the concepts and is willing to go the extra mile.

I took her online and thought that she a very helpful social psychology teacher. She tries to make everything as clear as possible, even though her exams and the 3 papers (!!!) aren't that easy. If you read the book, you should be fine. There are weekly assignments as well, but they are rather easy. Good luck!

she is absolutely amazing... if i could have her for all psych classes i would definitely take her. you will love her. she keeps the class interesting. but you do have to come and do the study guides. as long as you do those 2 things the class will be a breeze!!

Awesome professor! She made class a lot of fun. Tons of visuals and video clips. Psych can be confusing at times but she makes it easy to understand and learn. I took her for social psych online. It was definitely a good choice. She is very helpful, and her assignments are very clear. She responds in a timely manner, and is very friendly. I would definitely suggest taking her.

She was very funny and joked around a lot. Her test can be kinda hard. There is quite a bit of work. You will do well on the tests if you do the study guide. I would take her again.

I would have to say she is my favorite teacher thus far at LCC. She is very helpful, energetic, and interesting to listen to. I did not dread the idea of going to her class. Definitely take her for psychology. Almost zero required homework and provides study guides for the exams. I will be taking her online social psychology class in the fall.

Dr. Hughes has a great personality and I found her to be the best teacher I've had yet! She really made class fun and exciting. As long as you pay attention in class and study before a test you'll do great. She's extremely helpful and patient with students that have a more difficult time learning. I will definitely take another class of hers again!

Dr. Hughes is great at responding, fast emails. There are weekly assignments. Three long papers. Her exams are worded very intellectually, which makes it sometimes difficult to comprehend. Lots of reading to understand content. Overall good professor, grades very precisely.

Dr. Hughes is AMAZING! She is so entertaining and funny and made class fun. I dread my other 2 hr classes but hers wasn't bad at all. She is very clear and her tests aren't too hard. If you listen and take notes throughout class, minimal studying is needed, so you can focus on other classes. No day to day homework, which was wonderful.

Sharon is easy to get along with and she is extremely helpful. I looked forward to psych every day because she is such a joy to have as a prof. She's entertaining, makes jokes, explains the material well, is nice, and is cute. I recommend her for anyone!

One of the Best teachers in LCC if not the US. She really cares about her students and she makes the class fun. She teaches in a way that makes her students will never forget the psychology they learned in her class. I wish all teachers have the same way of teaching as her.

Her weekly assignments can be tedious because she acts you to have up to 8 volunteers almost every week. Her tests are very difficult. You must read the chapters extensively if you want to pass her tests.

Dr. Hughes does a very fine job teaching. Her class is very easy to pass if you show up and listen. She keeps the class interesting and fun with videos and activities. Tests are 50 multiple choice and surprisingly a little harder than you would think. If you do the Chapter Summaries that she provides. Great professor, would recommend.

Professor Hughes is the best I really enjoyed her class. She made the lectures interesting and was always ready to help. I'm taking another Psych class this coming semester and I was really disappointed that I couldn't get her again. She's awesome! I would really recommend her to anyone.

Although, I had this class online, she was a GREAT teacher. One of the best at LCC! Even online, you can come talk to her in person and go over notes/homework. She also emails back fast! Great Teacher for this class! There were 4 test/multiple choice. Yes, if online, you need the book!

Professeur Hughes is one of the best teachers I have ever had. As long as you do the study guides and listen and participate in class, its generally an easy class. Would totally take her again.

She is a great teacher! Just a warning though, the tests are worth a huge part of the grade and only assignments are the study guides, which are good, but if you learn from doing assignments, be prepared to study harder. I had problems with how hard the tests are, but that's just cause I'm a learner from assignments. Other than that, shes awesome!

Amazing teacher!!! As long as you do the study guides, there is no way you can do bad. Tests are relatively easy as long as you study the study guides and take the practice quizzes. I would love taking this class again. It was a lot of fun and not much work at all. I took it online and it was only one assignment per week.

She was literally the best professor I've ever had! I want her to teach me everything. She's very passionate about psychology and this helps your learning alot. EVERY test is 50 multiple choice questions, even the final. Take notes and you'll get A's everytime.

Sharon is awesome! There's 15 assignments, 1 per week but only 9 are mandatory, the rest are dropped. 3 papers, that are fairly easy (& no length req), and 4 exams. exams are the only "hard" part about the class. If you ever need anything, she responded to my emails within 20 mins. Top 3 best online teachers I've had. would take her again any day.

Dr. Hughes is a fun instructor! Tests are all the same format with 50 multi-choice questions, there are no surprises in her tests. Study guides provide a good review of material but can be a lot of work - meet up with classmates to get these done for extra credit at the end of the semester.

Wow--I was a student of Sharon Hughes' way back in 2000 & just randomly decided to look her up, only to discover she's still teaching at LCC! Her intro to Psych class was so interesting & fun that I decided to take her Social Psychology class--which was at 9am over the summer! I'm not a morning person AT ALL, so that was a pretty big deal.

She is just flat out awesome!

I loved Dr. Hughes! She was a great, fun teacher and you could really tell she loved what she was teaching. The classes are all lectures, but as long as you follow through on the power points by taking notes, it's not bad. There are two papers that are extremely easy and a study guide for every chapter (fill in the blanks). Loved her!

She was a good professor. 3 papers and 12 group discussions. I got a 3.0 in the class but that is because i do terribly on tests. there are 4 tests all taken at the campus.

Dr. Hughes is incredible. Very energetic and sweet. Be prepared to do long study guides though. They are pretty tedious since they are copied and pasted from the text book and you have to fill in the blanks. Very willing to answer any questions you have, did lots of fun stuff in class :)

Caring and helpful. Wants you to do well. (Online) Class is mainly study guides. Read, fill in the blank, submit. There is an activity after every unit and you get to choose between two. There are four tests and a final. Tests are pretty easy. All multiple choice. Even the final was all multiple choice. Study guides get tedious but good instructor.

Sharon is such a good professor and an even better person! She really cares about each person and wants them to do well. There's 15 discussions, only 9 of them are mandatory, and there's 3 papers, only 2 of those are mandatory. However for exams, there's about 3 or 4 and you HAVE to read the book to do well, but it's easy to do well if you read.

Sharon Hughes was an amazing professor! It was my first college class as a Junior in high school, and it was a great experience! She answers any questions and emails quickly, and is extremely helpful in her answers. The class was fairly easy as long as you do the assignments and pay attention. You do have to go in for tests, but I highly recommend!

Dr. Hughes was a wonderful psychology teacher and our transition from in-class to online due to Covid-19 was smooth. I recommend taking her for any class you can. As long as you complete the study guide each week using OpenStax for your book online, and study your guide for tests, this class is a breeze (and can be very interesting too!)

Loved this class and the Professor is great but the workload is a bit much for a 3 credit/ AA level course. I have to study 2x as much for this class as others of similar caliber, and the weekly activities and reading seem excessive. I had two accelerated courses last term and they didnt provide as much work as this one standard 16-week course.

I loved taking PSYC200 online with Dr. Hughes. As long as you complete the assignments, it's a piece of cake. She seems to be an easy grader and provides great feedback. However, prepare for lots of reading! A large portion of the grade comes from completing lengthy study guides, and the answers are taken from a free online textbook.

Be prepared for a lot of reading and assignments that require 5-6 other people to answer questions. That said, Prof. Hughes is great! She's easy to get in touch with and super nice. The class is a lot of work but it's also super easy to finish early because you only have to do the exams, 2 of the papers, and 9 of the weekly assignments.

The sweetest teacher I've ever taken! She was absolutely amazing and I'd definitely take her again. Her quizzes are hard and you can't just "look up" the answers.

Dr. Hughes is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. Very clear grading criteria and quick responses to questions. She is so kind and really cares for her students and wants them to succeed! I'm already signed up for psyc 203 with her next semester.

Hearing from other people and from my own experience, I wish I had her in person. She is one of the best psychology professors I've had, but probably the most understanding and caring professor I've ever had. Though there was a fair bit of textbook reading, the discussion assignments were legitimately interesting and enjoyable to do.

She's very funny and seems like she enjoys what she teaches. I took the hybrid class, so the only negative is that every week we had to read multiple chapters of the textbook and fill out a summary of the main topics. The tests were annoying, but weren't too hard once mainly because she allows you to bring a notecard of notes and stuff per test.

Such a nice professor!! Had very interactive, and interesting classes. She also made a very clear rubric which gave a good routine in getting my assignments done. Overall you can tell she really enjoys teaching psychology.
