She's a pretty good teacher. You'll just take notes and when it comes time for the test, you can just look at the PowerPoint online and every question comes from that. 1 of 4 essays doesn't count and 1 of 4 tests doesn't count. So you can skip or miss one of each and you will be fine.

Great teacher, works with students to help with their grades. If you are willing to work, she will help you through.

She's wonderful. All you have to do is take notes and the tests are a given. Essays are a piece of cake and as long as you do the work, you have an A.

Love, love, love her!! She is very sweet and helpful. Show up, take notes, and pay attention and you will get an A. I didn't even bother to buy the book, her lectures are so thorough. If you fail, it's your fault! She will do anything she can to help you. If you take the time to talk to her and get to know her, she is a truly amazing person.

Professor Kyser was one of my favorite professors last semester. She is a great teacher with very clear lectures, study guides, and tests. As long as you show up, take notes, study the study guide, and try on the tests, there is no reason why you shouldn't pass. She also helps students who are struggling. Four essays, four tests, one presentation.

BEST PROFESSOR ever! She made me enjoy history more than ever! Lectures are wonderful and easy to understand. She wants to grasp the concept not memorize it. She made me learn almost as if I did not know I was learning. Very entertaining! HIGHLY recommend. Reviews are easily explained. Short essays. She is more than helpful for any questions!

Love her. We watch videos and movies in class, shes extremely clear and helpful. One time I did bad on an essay and She stayed after class with only me and we edited it, then she punched in a 100. 4 tests, 4 essays, one presentation. Very very easy. taken for history 1302. Dont bother buying the book.

I learned more in this history class than any other I've taken; she makes the content interesting. I wish I would've taken her for 1301 as well. There are 4 tests and 4 papers to go with each test. The essays only have to be a page and a half. You get a study guide for each test. There's no reason not to pass this class. You get to watch movies.

Very easy class you only have four test and four essays in which your only required to take 3 of each and she grades the essays very easily. Shes always very nice! would definitely taker her again

Best teacher I have had in college... Hands down. She is very straight forward, and ensures that everyone understands her lectures and tests. She always encourages us to let her know if there is something that is "questionable" or "tricky" on her powerpoints, project information, or tests. I took her for Summer I and I plan to take her for HIST1302

Professor Kyser gives great lectures! She makes the class very interesting. Study the test reviews and you will do good on the tests.

She was a very fun teacher to have for HIST 1302 and 1301, she taught the lectures as if she was actually in those times. Her class usually goes by fast and she lets us out early at times. Her tests are really straight forward and easy to study with the study guide she gives us. She replies as soon as possible to emails. Really recommend her.

Take her! Professor Kyser is so sweet and funny. During high school I did not enjoy my history classes. I loved her class. She gives you everything you need to pass and has very VERY clear expectations. 4 straight forward essays, 4 tests, 1 presentation, and 1 timeline. She has so much positive energy.

Mrs. Kyser Is a must take! She is a very sweet person ad cares if you pass. She will also give many opportunities to help your grade if needed. She lectures with pictures, so if you are a visual learner then she is definitely perfect for you. 4 test & 4 essays but she will omit the lowest grade of each. She is awesome, wish I knew about her sooner.

My favorite professor at TJC! She is kind, approachable, and makes history a lot of fun! She lectures like she is telling a story. Her PowerPoints are useful and fun. The class I took with her was in Summer II 2018. The tests were multiple choice with a few essay questions. Just go to class, participate, and you will do fine.

Mrs. Kyser really is a great teacher. She is neither a harsh grader nor a rude person. She takes her time with xou when you have questions and gives the best lectures ever.

Professor Kyser is literally the best professor I have ever had. She tells you what you are going to learn, she teaches you, and then she tells you again what you just learned. If you go to class listen to her lectures and take good notes you will make a solid A. She gives you a review and if you study it you will pass her test!

Shes the best, not exaggerating. Her lectures are way more interesting and creative than most. Theres two papers, two tests, and a final, plus a short, easy presentation. Get the book, itll be helpful for essays and tests. Her study guides are the tests, except for an essay Q and (1-2) multiple choice Qs. Dont skip class too often either.

BEST HISTORY TEACHER at Tyler Junior College!!! This class was an easy A and not difficult at all! If you want to take a class that will boost your GPA, and not have hardly any homework, this is the class for you! Ive taken 1301 and 1302 and they both were the best History classes Ive ever taken! Do not take anyone else except Mrs. Kyser!!!!

I had the pleasure to have Prof. Kyser as my U.S. History II instructor and she was phenomenal. I loved her teaching style, most of it was lecture based on power point, but she explained things thoroughly that anyone could understand. We had several group projects and one paper during the class. I enjoyed her enthusiaism she had for every class.

I enjoyed this professor of the way she taught! I never understood history until she explained it. Also she is very convenient too. She gives class PowerPoints and test reviews!

I love her so very much. She is such a good teacher she is really good at helping you with anything that you need help with! You would just have to communicate with her and tell her what you need help with. But I've learned that if you do not study you will not pass. It's an easy A or high B. This professor is amazing.

I didn't like studying history before taking this class. Professor Kyser really cares about every one of her students and takes the time to help. She presents history in a such an engaging way. I took both 1301 and 1302 from her and would HIGHLY recommend taking this class. I almost switched my major to history because of her class.

Attendance is not required but you don't want to miss Kyser's sweet & wonderful personality. 3 tests, 2 papers, 1 presentation. Use the study guide & kahoot!!!

Professor Kyser is among one of my favorites! Her lectures are truly interesting and she uses visuals which makes them even easier to follow! Gives good feedback on papers and tells you exactly what she is expecting. You can also tell she genuinely cares and wants to help. Take her for history courses!

Professor Kyser's tests were confusing. Three people I know in the class thought they did really well on the first test and all got 77's. She seems to grade a little weird. I did like her teaching though. I took her class during COVID-19 and if it had continued like normal I probably would have gotten a B. But she does teach very well!

she was a great prof and i'd definitely take her class again! going to class isn't going to determine your grade. her quizlets are almost exactly the same as the tests so as long as you study those you should pass.

I took Prof. Kyser online course and got the pleasure to meet her in person a couple of times. And man this lady is phenomenal and an Angel. However, I do agree with one person in RMP, that stated her quizzes/exams were quite confusing. Yes, her exams are a bit heavy and quite challenging. I think I would have done better with an in person class.

Mrs. Kaiser was one of my favorite professors. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Her tests were somewhat easy as long as you studied. There were only three test and A core project. Her lectures were very interesting and very meaningful. She cares a lot about her students.

I took Professor Kyser for History 1301, and she was the best professor I have ever had. There are a lot of videos to watch if you take her class online, but she is so enthusiastic with her teaching that it was almost fun. If you watch her videos, fill out the study guides, and put in effort, her class will be easy for you.

American History can become redundant, especially as someone who has lived here my whole life. But she made it interesting. I learned new things. Her videos are the best! Take notes on the videos, work through the review and you will do fine.

Professor Kyser is an awesome history teacher. I took history 1302 as a in person class and loved it. If you need a history class take her! I would advise though to take it as a in person class because you learn a lot from her lectures. There were 3 test, 2 essays and one presentation of a person from history.

I took 1301 & 1302 with Professor Kyser and she is the best professor I have ever had. She loves what she does and she's all about helping her students. Her lectures will keep you engaged and she is straightforward about test and essays. This class requires work but as long as you show up to class and meet deadlines you will do perfectly fine.

The best online course I've ever taken. Teacher provides great resources of detailed and interesting video lectures. She tells you exactly what page to start on in the textbook and that along with the video lectures I was able to take the tests and do well.

When it come to her lectures she is very engaging and informative She has this way of bring to life history. You do have to write two papers however she is very detailed with what she is looking for and giving the information. If you want to be successful in her class I would highly suggest doing the study guide and attending her class in person.

As a high school student taking her class for dual credit, I can say for sure that she is and was one of the best history teachers I have had. She wants you to pass her class, the only reason you would fail is if you don't study or don't try. I highly recommend her! Not all teachers care as much as she does.

She is by far the best teacher I have ever had she is so kind and very explanatory when it comes to questions about the lecture. Professor Kyser makes class super fun, very clearly enjoys teaching a lot! She brings props to class occasionally too. Also includes fun videos and games in class to help students remember things. A little bit of a touch grader when it comes to papers, but still very manageable. She is very nice and loves talking with students.

Excellent professor! Book is optional, you get all the needed info from her lectures and study guides. She explains expectations thoroughly and sets you up for success. I am not a history person at all, but the way she teaches made the information stick! If you take notes you should fine on her tests. She practically tells you what is on the test and emphasizes in lecture the exact thing on her tests that important to know. As long as you go to class you will pass.

An amazing teacher very helpful. This class was the first time I had experienced essay questions so I went to meet with her. By the end of the semester I was no longer concerned about writing essay questions. Very friendly do not be afraid to ask questions.

LOVE LOVE PROFESSOR KYSER! Took her for 1301 and was an amazing professor who made every lesson very easy to learn and always kept the class engaged! Her tests are straightforward and as long as you fill out the study guide and study over the exam questions, there is no reason to not pass her class.

Her lectures are amazing and if you fill out the exam study guides you will do well. The study guides seemed a little tedious imo (100-150 possible multiple choice options and only 20 chosen) but I would still recommend her!

Greatest Professor of All Time!

I hate history because it's boring. Kyser makes learning history so enjoyable! I didnt read the book the whole year and still made a high A. Her online lectures are fantastic and give you all the info you need for the exams. Fill reviews out while watching lectures and its an easy A. She is fair about essay grades but not easy. 10/10 recommend her!

For a 3-credit class she was very lecture heavy with hours of videos to watch for review. Her reviews were amazing, but she graded tough on her essays. She also made you go to the library to take your test when this is supposed to be an online class. Easy if you know your history, if you don't. You better learn it and know what to say correctly.

Professor Kyser is awesome! I took her for 1301 and 1302. If you follow along with the study guide, and do your best when it comes to the essays, you'll be fine. Her in-person lectures are amazing, and really gets you involved in the material.

Amazing professor 10/10 recommend! Took her online class and had to take exams on main campus but they were easy. You just have to watch her lectures and fill in her study guides! She is really a great professor and responds quickly.

I just took this class for summer II. She has a great personality and makes learning the material actually FUN. Great for visual learners! The lectures are long but necessary to make it through the required material. If you actually watch the lectures, fill out the study guides, and do the assignments there is no way you can fail. TAKE THIS CLASS!

She's very understanding in situations and her lectures are very interesting. I only passed with a D since there were quizzes I didn't know about but she's a wonderful professor and takes accountability when she makes mistakes. Im taking her again for 1302 since she teaches so well!

Incredible teacher! She gives you a study guide over each exam including what topics she may ask you to write an essay over. Exams are based off the study guide. Very clear grading. The essays are tough but she gives you plenty of time to study the topics. Easy A” if you follow the study guide. I made a 107 on my final. Hands down THE BEST!!
