I am actually learning about politics thanks to this teacher. She is very knowledgeable about the subejct and makes the class interesting. The class is relatively easy but you need to study and take good notes.

her class is informative if you pay attention, sometimes thats hard as listening to her lectures can sometimes be slightly boring.She's lovely really friendly and easy going! If you want to do well take her class as she is really fair with curves etc. Just Bring some coffee!!!

Mrs. Manna is a great teacher. SHe makes the most mundane fun. You have to take a lot of notes, but she's really fair and you'll enjoy this class if you don't mind to work a bit.

I had mrs. manna for gov I and II and she is the best teacher! She actually knows what she is talking about and enjoys teaching. She always has extra credit oppurunities and i definately reccomend her for anyone who has to take GOV 1 and 2!

Provided you actually tune in and jot notes during her lectures, there is no way you cannot get an A. I never study prior to tests and passed 3 points shy of 100. She is the best government teacher at North Lake, even if politics/government is not your thing.

She knows whats she's talking about and she's fun but she is a tough grader. Her tests are hard and you have to write 3 essays and even though you try hard on them you still dont get a good grade. She'll give us extra credit but still she is a little hard.

Great Teacher. Keeps its simple and is always clear about assignments. Uses eCampus a lot to update about assignments. She makes available to Powerpoints and as long as you take a few extra note you should be good to pass her class and even get a good grade.

Had her for Maymester. She has PhD. Very straight forward. Great speaker. Let's you record her lectures. Take notes. Her PowerPoint is online also for review. Extremely insightful. As soon as she starts speaking you know this is an intelligent woman. I grade her an "A" + :)

She doesn't use the book and her powerpoints are really helpful. She can be a bit a hard grader on the 2 essays, but otherwise an "A" is easy. Very nice and a great teacher.

Excellent professor! Tests questions come straight from notes and essays are kind of hard but she allows you to submit a rough draft and she will edit it for you so you can correct before submission. Very knowledgeable and helpful!

Easy class, nice woman. But if you want to learn something other than how to be a liberal pick another teacher. Every single topic has been superficially addressed, the closest thing to learning anything useful was a documentary featuring a rapping Benjamin Franklin.

Prof Manna Is a wonderful teacher. I just hoped to pass and ended up with an A. If you take notes(which she uses from her powerpoints) and actually listen you'll do well on the tests. Just do the work and it is easy. Plus she is very helpful easy to work with.

Mrs. Manna is an amazing Professor! I love going to her classes. She enjoys teaching and knows her stuff. Even if you don't like politics you will end up loving every part of it. She is a GEM of a Professor and Unique in her teaching style. I'm taking my second goverment class with her...no doubt. Just have perfect attendance and take notes.

Dr. Manna is a wonderful professor! She kept the class interested, is extremely helpful, & always understanding. Make sure you do all of your hwk. 5 pg papers. I was out sick for a week and she helped me get back on track and I ended up with an A+ in her class. She cares for her students and wants everyone to succeed. I would highly recommend her!

Hands down best teacher I've ever had. I had her for 2301 and liked her so much I arranged my schedule around her class for 2302. Took her hybrid course so there was one 2 pg paper response assignment due every Monday. DO NOT BUY BOOK! No cumulative final, just normal exam. Easy class. PowerPoint lecture clearly laid out. She's very knowledgable.

Ms.Manna is the most professional knowledgeable Govt Professor I've ever had. She likes what she doe.Students have access to her power points, she gives test reviews and assigns HW that really help to bum your grade. She is legal on everything but also easy to talk to. My class had 3 test and 8 hw assignments each one of them due every week.

If you don't pass her class you need to drop out of college. Her class is extremely easy. An easy "A". Just do your work:)

Took her online course for Intro to Pol Sci and it was great! Really enjoyed the debates and her assignments were fair. I also took her previously for the 1st GOVT course and she a great teacher in class as well!

Show up and do your work and you'll be fine. She's very helpful and likes to speak about current events prior to beginning her lecture. I'd also recommend keeping the cell phones on silent unless you want to see the "death stare". Overall, great professor and a great course. You'd be stupid not to take her.

I beleive that this teacher is very knowledgeable about this class, but I hate going to this class I feel like i'm in highschool again when I attend her class.I havent had a teacher this strict since I ve been in highschool, Shes that teacher that tries to intimidate you and make you feel stupid for her own ego whenever somebody answers a question

Fantastic teacher, took her over the winter semester. pay attention in class, her tests are over what she says. there is no surprise questions on the tests, and if there is she catches on and credits students back for asking questions she did not teach you about.

She made Texas Government as interesting as possible. Show up and pay attention, you'll get an A. The book isn't used even a little, tests are over the lecture, other assignments take less than an hour and she allots class times to do assignments. Friendly and knowledgeable. She grades very fairly. Glad I took her class. Highly recommended.

Go to class take notes off the power point and pay attention I made an A and I have been out of school for over 5 yrs.

I absolutely loved this class, on the online version, she emails you weekly about the course work for that week. The test are mostly multiple choice with three essay questions. As long as you read the chapters, you'll be fine. She's really helpful with all of the assignments. And pretty lenient on late assignments.

I took Texas Govt online. The assignments are easy but the tests can be a bit tough. There could be a little more time given for the tests because there are always 3 essay questions. It is mostly discussion board stuff and about 6 homework assignments that are a page to two pages each. Not hard and I plan to take her 2305 as part of my degree plan.

She was a nice lady and would always stop and repeat herself whenever someone asked. Her lectures have a lot of info in them and it's super important to pay extra attention because you might miss a little detail that will be on the test. Tests were actually really hard for me because of the details. Homework isn't hard and helped bump up my grade.

Overall great class. Professor Manna is always willing to help you with any questions you may have. Her lectures have a lot of information, but she will go back and explain if you need clarification. You need to study for her tests and attendance is very important. Don't miss lectures and don't be late to class.

Very interesting class, she teaches you the dirt about Texas Government and politics. I took the hybrid class, where class is only one day a week, and had to write a paper every week. During exam week turned in a portfolio of all the papers written and it was 43 pages long. I did however learn a and will pay attention to local gov.

Make sure you do the online textbook activities since she does take them in as a test grade at the end of the semester. She's very clear on her lectures and answers any questions that students ask. She'll definitely help you out with if you're confused or if you need help with grades if you just talk in person or email her.

Took her online. She sends out an email at the beginning of each week with a list of assignments that are due that week including what day and what time exactly they need to be turned in. Some stuff was done in the etext while others on ecampus. The computer already grades what's wrong. She just grades the discussion boards and essay questions.

Her teaching style is fairly hands off, but it's not hard. For her essays, answer the questions coherently and you'll get a solid B and the debates aren't hard. However, you will need to read on your own and the tests do focus on some small random details, so take thorough notes. She warns students what's due and provides extra credit.

She is really nice and helpful, if you need help or have a question all you have to do is ask. We also always got out of class early, but she will take roll! You do have to buy the e-textbook $60 from their website, the little test are a PAIN in the butt, but as long as you get at least 70% or so right she will count it. Her test are OK, so study!

You def need to be there to hear the lectures or else you will have no idea what is going on. But, lectures are great! She is very smart and enthusiastic. Online text and weekly online quizzes required. Only 4 exams and no final! Study guides for exams. Extra credit offered on exams. 4 papers are assigned and are kinda hard but not the worst. :/

took professor Manna's Intro to Political Science class last semester online. usually only 1 or 2 assignments a week, due dates are clear and work is specific. Easy A if all work is turned in and done well on time.

Professor Manna is really cool, and accommodating if you ask her for help. The only problem I had with this course is there was at least one short essay to write a week. By short I mean a page and a half. They weren't hard, but having to complete one every week along with all the other homework she requires was very tiresome.

I took professor manna twice for 2305 in class and 2306 hybrid. I totally recommend her! she is understanding and will help you out if you show effort. Have to buy web text but she gives you a cheaper way to buy it! she understands the life of a college student. Read a chapter every week or just read ahead and finish the whole book. Good reviews!

She is an amazing Professor! You will learn a lot of you pay attention and if you attend to class instead of getting an online course, I bet you learn even more. She gives you second chances and a fair grader.

I took her for Summer online, for me this class was an easy A, however you just have to stay on top of deadlines, write exactly what she is looking for in essays and you will do fine. The only challenge were her tests, which is open book but not easy.

Her class is pretty easy as long as you read the book. she sends out a weekly reminder which tells you what is due that week. The hardest parts would be the tests but they aren't that hard as I never studied for them because they are open book. Lastly the essays follow the rubric to the teeth so just follow the rubric she has posted.

I took the online class. The course is laid out for you once you are in, and its very easy to follow. Every week you are sent an email telling you what is due that week. If you like to work ahead then this is the gov class for you. There are three written assignments, three online debates (which are really fun), and four exams (study for these).

Took during summer online well laid out class. Read the text and do the online activities. There are 3 papers, 2 debates and 3 tests where she includes extra credit. All assignments were pretty easy as long as you follow the prompts you should be ok. She communicates weekly.

Took an 8 week online course with Prof. Manna. During this time we had to write 3 papers, which felt like a lot for a govt. class. Extra credit is offered on tests only. Tests are 40 multiple choice and 3 short answer questions. Always had to use the full 2 hours given for these. Overall, great prof. Responds to emails quickly.

Great professor, she makes what she is asking from you very clear and is very accessible outside of the classroom, offers extra credit and her assignments aren't anything crazy or out of this world. Definitely recommend!!

Dr. Manna is an AMAZING professor, her lectures are great she relates everything in lectures to whats going on in today's world and also gives examples for everything in lecture notes. She keeps you engaged and makes learning easy! She makes learning about government fun and funny, makes you eager to attend the next lecture! Highly recommend her!

I took my course online. She responded to her emails quick and gave great advice for my unsuccessful assignments, she is a pretty hard grader but if you ask questions on the assignments youll get a better understanding. PLS STUDY FOR EXAMS! Dont rush through them at all I promise youll regret it. Do extra credit assignments!

She has the whole course tied up in a bow. I took the eight week flex course and she has everything laid out for you that its impossible to fail. She responds to emails same day. The best!!

Took Prof Manna's class over the summer. The course is structured very well, her expectations are clear, and she's very fast at replying to emails. The class involves web text readings, discussions, papers, and exams. Content is easy to understand. You just have to do your work and meet deadlines!

One of the best professors out there. The people who wrote bad reviews just clearly do not know how to read instructions. She was a very easy grader as long as you follow the rubric. My essays were always given great grades and she was super sweet and efficient at answering questions. Her assignments are very easy, you do have to read.

I took Govt 2305 for Summer I 2024. Had class work just about every day so I wouldn't fall behind. We had 2 maybe 3 papers due and a test due every week. 50 questions per test but it was open book and not timed. I would definitely take her class again. I actually tried taking Govt 2306 for fall but couldn't find any online courses.

I took this class over the summer before my Senior year and it was amazing! Professor Manna has us get involved with our peers in discussions that are interesting and thought provoking! Be prepared to write essays, but don't worry it was fun and didn't take to much time. :)
