Dr. Pierce is an excellent professor at this university. Take her! she will make this class easier for every student. The essay is very easy. 1 presentation, 2 tests with a study guide. Very cool professor. Very approachable. easy to get along with. She grades your test, essays super quick! you will understand the class because her lecture is fun.

Although I hate doing presentations she really helped me overcome that fear. I wish she taught more classes!

Dr. Pierce is truly one of the best professors that I have taken at Cal State. She truly cares about her students, is encouraging, and gives good honest feedback on all assignments. Make sure you get the book and read it! I enjoyed the class assignments and answering the chapter study questions; I felt like they all prepared me for the exams.

Dr. Pierce is an excellent professor. She really wants the students to understand the material. Public Admin is a dry subject for most people not taking it as their major, but she makes the material more interesting with presentations and personal experience with Business/Gov relations (like owning a business). Most of all, she will work with you.

She's honest, never talks down to you, encourages you, and is super funny. Assignments are reasonable and attendance is must because she does in class stuff for participation.

Dr. Pierce is definitely one of the best professors Ive had at CSUSB. Her syllabus is straight forward and she is always sending out "friendly reminders" of when stuff is due. She used the Remind app which was great. She makes herself available to students before and after class and she's quick to respond and grade stuff. Take her!

Professor Pierce kept the class interesting, easy to understand, and she taught the material in such a way I was able to apply it to my daily life. I feel like I learned so much. Buy the book. She was kind, always available for students but was definitely not a push over. She expects you to be respectful and responsible )

Professor Pierce is absolutely amazing! I love how she teaches and brings everything to a level that is understandable but still challenges us. At first her assignments seemed hard because she pushes you to reflect on your experiences but she is so willing to help you. Mrs. Pierce is a caring and genuine person. She knows how to connect with us and takes the time to know who we are and our goals. Dr. Pierce is one of the few instructors who will go out of her way to help you succeed, she is a very engaged instructor and is always willing to help if you need it. She is a tough grader but if you want to get an A in this class you just need to follow the syllabus and do the work, it's pretty straight forward.

Took Professor Pierce for Public Admin 315. It was my first Public Administration and after taking that class with her I knew it was the field i wanted to purse. Prf. likes to challenge her students and you need to work for your grade. Not everything is free, but the process is quite an experience and very rewarding. Will definitely take again.

Overall just a great professor. One thing i really like about her is that the grade she gives you, is probably the one you deserve. She is an amazing professor. Quiz and a small paper of 350 word is due every week (Easy). She does have three small projects but gives you enough time to complete. Her workload can be a lot if your a procrastinator but i will say she's an amazing professor and cares for your grade. Quick to respond with concerns. I' taking her again next semester.

I can't explain how amazing this professor is. Took her PA3150 & PA3050 classes and both were amazing. She's very caring and wants you to succeed. Easier to communicate with her if you download the Remind App. If your majoring in Public Admin you are lucky. If she pops up as an option to take during registration.....ENROLL ASAP.

One of my favorite classes and professors at CSUSB. You will learn a great deal in this class. I feel I am a better person from what I learned in Dr. Pierce's class. She is very organized and makes her lectures fun and interesting. I found the work to be a little harder but she provided everything to be successful and offered her assistance.

Amazing professor, you may have trouble if you don't like writing papers. She had a 5 page diversity interview and 6 page diversity research paper. She is very caring and even provided students with the chance to win gift cards. There were a few extra credit opportunities and most of the assignments required 350 words to various diversity topics.

If you plan on going into HR, take this class. Weekly journal reflections are a little work, but it makes for a great way to process the course material. You have a research paper/presentation due towards the end of the semester. She will help you with it if you. Sends weekly announcements, which is helpful. Overall, great professor and course.

She is the most wonderful professor I have ever had. She is understanding of students' needs so long as you communicate your issues to her. There are weekly discussions and quizzes, along with two papers and presentations. It is all fairly easy to do and you are given ample time to complete everything. I genuinely recommend that everyone take her.

Great class and professor! She is very sweet and straightforward about expectations. Grades on a timely basis and offers some extra credit opportunities. One thing to note is that on top of weekly journal entries, a research paper and 2 video presentation, there are two exams on details of the chapter that you would normally miss.

Professor Sharon's PA3150 class is well-organized and engaging. The weekly assignments and two major papers may seem daunting, but the class is manageable with effort. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for my study prep, alongside the free course materials. Highly recommended!

Despite this being an online course, I felt relatively engaged and I could tell Prof. Pierce really cares about her students. Course material is very relevant and interesting! 350 min. word weekly journal reflections and quizzes, 2 presentations, an essay, and a final exam. Seems like a lot but it honestly isn't and she's super lenient + nice! :-)

I love Professor Pierce, she is such a caring and very responsive woman. The course is not hard at all; 2 video presentations, 10 quizzes, 2 essays, and 15 reflection journals. Highly recommend this professor and this course. I am at the end of my MPA program and by far, this was the most engaging professor and well structured course. I would love to meet her in person. She genuinely cares about her students.

Dr. Pierce is professional, clear in her grading and fair. She has 2-3 big projects in her class that require some work and weekly quizzes/journals that require you to watch her lectures and read the chapter. READ THE BOOK. Its time consuming but most of the work you do will be on the TEXTBOOK. 75% text 25% lecture focused. Overall great professor!

As an HR professional, I didn't expect to learn much, but I was surprised by how applicable and relevant the content was to my job. Great professor that has everything set up at the beginning of the semester. I was able to work ahead on some things, which made it much easier for the summer class. The key is staying up with the weekly modules and you should have no problem getting a good grade. She is accessible all the time and is willing to help. Would take again 100%.

This was one of my easiest classes; everything was so clear and concise. The first 3 classes are mandatory, but after that, they were optional; however, if you went to class, you did not have to write a weekly discussion. Would take this class again if I could!
