Sharon is fun, but the class can be difficult. She grades fairly though, so pay attention and you will do well. I would recommend her over the other math teachers I have had in the past. she is very helpful, and really knows her stuff.
Willing to help if you ask her...knows math inside and out...really passionate about it..overall good teacher
I like Sharon. She has a very approachable personality, and is always willing to help students out. Calculus is hard no matter where you take it from. However, she makes it possible and almost pleasant to learn. She grades fairly and offers some leniencies
Sharon is very good math teacher very helpful, energetic, and enthusiastic. Her classes are not easy, however; if you are working hard you will get very good grade ...
Saxton is almost annoyingly excited about math! She is and extremely helpful instructor ...
great teacher...good at explaining, verry helpfull
Mean.
She is very excited about the topic and happy to help in any way possible.
Sharon is probably the best math teacher, probably best teacher all together, that I have had in college, and I have taken quite a few college classes.....she grades fairly, is very helpful and makes learning math fun... and how often does that happen?
She can be rude, arrogant, and mean. However, her classes are fairly easy and he work load is not too bad. You can not miss class though because she does not allow you to make up stupid "group assignments" or quizes.
One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Math is not always a fun subject, but she makes the class very enjoyable.
Sharon is a very fun teacher. The class was actually interesting for math. She is able to answer all questions and knows a lot about math. The class starts late a lot because of chatting, but it doesn't really effect anything.
11 quizs,2 projects,3 exams, every section has homework, at least 12 questions and a final exam! Be honestly, I hate this class. I took four classes this quarter, One online, two hybrid, I thought this math may not have too much works, but I was wrong. The quiz, homework is easy to me, but I hate so much of them
Teacher is tough but will help you if you need it. She has lots of energy and you can tell she enjoys her job.
Smart woman, butHavingtriedto take this at CCC two times with her, and finally finishing it at edcc with a good grade, I feel that her approach to Bcalc is terrible. She will go out of her way to intimidate people on the first day. Seems to think making stuff harder than it is will make students succeed. Take this class with Steve Y or someone else.
I am currently in one of Sharon's classes (Math for Elem. Ed) and I think she is great! She is kind and helpful and seems like she really wants her students to do well. If you study, do your homework and show up to class (many students seem to be skipping a lot of our classes) you will get a good grade. I will take another of her classes soon!
Awesome teacher! One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Great explanations. Drops lowest test and quiz grade. Wanna make sure to show up to class though or you might fall behind...tough subject, moves fast, but she knows what she's talking about for sure.
Good professor. She gives test based on what she taught us. Helpful, we can ask question in class or by email or wamap. It's just that she talks a bit fast and her voice not really clear for me(I'm an international student).
I enjoyed the class, quizes that she handed out weren't too terribly difficult neither were the exams she's actually a good teacher, may come off strict and difficult at first but she's honestly really excited to teach and she does a good job
She was a great teacher, she knew what she was talking about and can do most of the stuff in her head and will be able to tell you what you did wrong and were it happened at.
Came to class hoping to learn Calculus, and now am stuck on many problems because Sharon did not explain all the information you need out of the section. Reconsider Saxton and take Burke for Calculus
Took algebra and pre-calc with her. Great demeanor and likes a good joke. She is crystal clear with her instructions and offers her lecture slides via WAMAP. Don't be afraid to ask any question, she is a great help.
Sharon is very good at wasting time in class. I went to her class 3 times a week and felt I could have learned everything just 2 days/week. She explains things well, has easy weekly quizzes. Allows notecards on tests, which are sometimes a little hard. All the homework is due on one day. Overall decent teacher
I love Ms.saxton. She is an awesome professor and a very attention grabber one as well. Anyone who is hating on her have no sense of humor and entertainment at all, AND they do not even get that she is trying to make school FUN. Now let's hope she gives me some extra credit for this.
Overall she's a great instructor, but a pretty tough grader. I tried my hardest and got a 3.5..she explains things carefully, weekly quizzes are easy but tests are pretty hard. She cares about her students, she even remembers my name while I took her a while ago. She's funny, too. If you want to gain real knowledge, completely consider her!
FREAKIN AMAZING! Tough on turning in assignments on time and days quizzes and exams are held, but she expects you to act like an adult. Not late assignment turn in or late test taking. Will let you turn in early and test early if needed. Very nice and all around fun teacher.
Simple tests with questions derived directly from WAMAP and the quizes, only problem is she tends to discuss the easier problems and completely disregard the difficult ones making the homework extremely difficult
I've taken two classes with her, business precalc and business calc. I've never been very good at math but I've been doing pretty good in her classes. We use wamap and have weekly quizzes but they aren't too hard if you've done the wamap. She's so fun! My favorite math teacher by far, take her!!
Great!
Sharon is one of the best math teachers at Cascadia...but again...Cascadia is not so great. She does waste time in class talking about off-topic stuff so the class does have some high school vive to it. She is a tough grader but hey its math. you miss a minus sign and it all goes to hell
Shannon is simply amazing. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to start liking math and finally have a teacher who cares about you and whether you understand the subject or not. Her teaching method is excellent. She is very helpful, yet she makes you learn how to seek the information for yourself. Over all I give her a 30 out of 10
Definitely the worst math teacher at Cascadia. Took both precalc in class and business calc online from her because there was no one else and the work load is ridiculous. You'll literally spend HOURS on WAMAP figuring out problems she didn't explain. When I emailed her about an issue I got a rude response and nothing helpful back. Stay away!
She is the worst teacher I have ever had. If you can call her a teacher. She doesn't teach. Her online course was awful. I have taken several online courses and they are great. She gave little help and her lectures are do not explain anything. Do not take her class if you don't have to! The school needs to invest in better options!
NEVER take an online class from her ever! She uses other people's youtube videos to "teach" easy examples, and then gives out hard examples for the WAMAP you will spend hours doing. Any questions you may have won't be explained and if you mess up a tad there goes your grade. Don't hate your life for 11 weeks, stay away from Sharon.
Sharon is very clear when answering questions and explaining new concepts. She is both friendly and accessible and enthused about math. She offers lots of opportunities for redemption if you do less than stellar on an exam. Also, she rewards good test scores with a waived final exam. No better way to learn calculus.
She's so jolly and smiley and really seems to love math. I absolutely hate math but Sharon actually had me excited about it at times. Her directions are straight forward. She does assign a lot of homework and her class is by no means "easy" but the nice thing is she gave us as much time as we wanted on tests and quizzes.
Online class. Unrealistic work load. each week around 100 questions to finish + quiz. She must think all students are pro in math and don't need lots of time to finish the work. Not helpful & not available to help students out. though very very strict and inconsiderate. I regret taking class with her, but was my only option for a pre requisite.
Sharon is my favorite teacher I've ever had. She is so happy all the time and loves what she does. The homework can be heavy at times, but it's very doable. If you pay attention in class, you should do well. She gives a full class for exams, and they are way easier than the homework. I wish she was teaching calc 2 this quarter. Would retake.
She is a very good teacher and is very excited about what she's teaching. There is usually at least one class between when an assignment is assigned and when it's due so students have a chance to ask questions. She explains things clearly. The homework might include things she hasn't taught but the quizzes and tests don't.
Do the weekly homework assignments and get full points for them. Weekly quizzes are short and sweet (no tricks), and the lowest one is dropped. There are 3 exams and a cumulative final. The score on the final will replace your lowest exam IF the final's score is higher (no exams get dropped either way). Like any language, math just takes practice.
Great teacher, explains the material brilliantly. Of course you need to stay on top of homework, but if you do you'll be rewarded well. She can be a very picky grader, taking off a whole point if you round, don't have units, or forget some notation, but overall she is benevolent. Have good algebra skills. Important for calc and math in general.
I took MATH 171, 172 & 173 from her, and she's the best (she has the best toys - 3 cabinets full!). She reminds you how important it is to break it down for your students and how making math fun (3 cabinets of math toys!) takes the dread out of it. TAKE HER FOR THAT SERIES AND YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!
Sharon was so full of energy in her classroom. She seemed so passionate about what she was teaching. She made an effort to show love to everyone in the class. If you had questions she was always very willing to stay after class to explain how the homework works or any questions you might have. I highly recommend taking a class with her.
The first couple weeks was great, however Sharon is not very helpful online. It usually takes her 1-2 days to reply to students emails. I spend at least 5 days a week for this class and my grade is a 3.7. We have homework also Process Check, which usually have 50 questions on there. Definitely a tough grader.
The class was organized well but the questions could be better organized. Quiz, homework, progress checks and exam were promiscuous. There are progress checks which are extremely long. I think the PC are a waste of time. Lots of trial and error. Would be a much better learning material if the PC was shortened to around 10-20 questions a week.
Saxton was a great teacher and she was very clear. There was always a lot to do in class and it got overwhelming if you didn't stay on top of your work. She was dedicated to her word and made sure that your questions got answered. She is a very nice professor and easy to talk to. I am looking forward to taking more of her classes later.
It seems like everyone who took her in person liked her and thought the class was fairly easy. The amount of homework for the online class baffled me. It seems like the professor is adding more homework for the online class in exchange for it being online vs in person. The questions seem randomly picked, very lazy.
Very passionate about what she teaches. But, she assigns A LOT of homework. Be prepared to spend 30+ hours a week on book work, WAMAP, and studying for weekly quizzes. When you ask for help on a problem, she will only give you a little hint. She wont work through the problem with you. Doesn't cover all the material in class. Book isn't helpful.
She is a great professor, and I am very sorry she's not teaching Calc2 over summer. She explained everything, used practical examples, and could answer almost any question on the spot.
I took her online math147. I spent at least 40 hours a week to do her homework. She is not helpful at all. She doesn't teach at all. She gave ppt and notes, but her materials don't apply her homework. When you have problems from homework, you posted on discussion. Her answer usually is asking you to look up the example in the textbook.
This class was really the hardest I have ever taken. She is a very tough grader and what I really don't like about her exams that she would only give you few question and each question worth a lot of point. If you mess up in a question then you're screwed. Otherwise, she is a very nice prof and respected by all students.
Amazing math teacher. Lets you know exactly what is expected. Not an easy subject at all, but she answers every question you have in class, and she reviews every problem on every test and quiz, so you can know how you messed up and what to work on for the next time.
Whenever you ask her questions, she'll nicely answer everything. Maybe sometimes included calculating mistakes, but I like her optimistic attitude. The homework includes wamap and textbook homework. The time for textbook HW is like two to three weeks before due date, but may better start earlier cause there're actually more than fifty of them!
Prof. takes time to explain core ideas very well to students. She is always open to questions and her quizzes are not too difficult. Also just a very sweet, caring person all round.
Has ridiculous expections of what we should complete before our next quiz/class period. Schedule is very confusing when you are taking her class for the first time. Shes one of those professors that ignores that most of us have other classes besides hers.
ridiculous amount of homework. inconsistent grading . very STRICT grader. do not take her class!
I took Sharon's business Calc class, and let me say I spent 4+ hours studying for her class every week and it still struggled. It wasn't toward the end of the quarter I learned that what you learn in a whole quarter of calc 1 in two weeks with Sharon. Caution she is an extremely hard prof, tests are insanely hard. She covers sections in 1 meeting
She is a very nice and helpful teacher. I appreciate her friendliness and patience. And her clarity. However she assigned a LOT of homework and quizzes/tests. It was very overwhelming. If this is your 1st time taking her class (like it was for me) then PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE *MENTALLY* PREPARED! I cannot stress this enough!
Her tests are made so that you fail. I remember on Exam 2 that most of the class didn't get above a 60%. Her lectures are usually 20 minutes but we spend an average close to 45 minutes asking questions from the wamap. The wamap is at the least 70 questions, and I spebd literally an entire day working on it and I still don't finish cuz its diffult.
She is a nice person, but IMO a bad teacher. Class consists of her presenting just the examples and important formulas straight from the textbook. Might as well just stay home, read the textbook yourself and get more practice. The homework can be ridiculous, one weekly assignment took 30 hours. Spent 40 hours a week average studying, still did bad.
Sharon is a very kind, experienced professor. Shes teaching some very difficult concepts but makes them seem easy when lecturing; they only then appear difficult when you get to the homework and all the problems are 50x more difficult than what we did in class. Also, tests are very difficult and worth a lot of points. I had the text but didnt use
Gives all the information needed for tests. Tough assignments are only for homework.
Sharons form of teaching is providing videos on how to do problems that werent even made by her & not every problem has a video to explain so be ready to research. Absolutely no lecture is provided for each chapter nor lecture notes. A very hard grader, takes forever to grade, takes several days to email& has 0 leniency for mistakes, so be PERFECT.
If youre taking this course online, be prepared to teach yourself! She provides some videos and very minimal and hard to follow class notes, which are not enough to fully learn the material. She takes points off for very minor things and homework and tests are all on WAMAP. Positive: she drops the lowest quiz and test score!
Sharon, is very nice but I don't recommend taking her class if you aren't already comfortable or experienced with the topic. She is very open to questions but her class lectures don't relate to the WAMAP, quizes and exams. HW has a min of 50 problems and you have to self teach yourself. Quizes every week and Exams every two weeks. MENTALLY DRAINING
Sharon is very nice, but her teaching technique is very aggressive and brief. Plan on spending hours more than any other class. Rushes and doesnt explain well, expects students to understand subject as she does. Very disappointing. Do not recommend
the prof is a lovely person but her teaching style is extremely harsh. Her tests are only 10 questions and her quizzes are 3 so if you miss a problem or two on either one your grade suffers. She doesn't tell you what the exams are going to be based around so you need to know the book by heart and be able to solve the problems just like she can.
She is really nice and enthusiastic when it comes to teaching however she does give a lot of homework and makes it due within a short period of time. In order to pass you're going to have to be on top of things.
Very harsh teaching style. Not flexible. Does easy problems via zoom then when you get to the homework it's way harder. Taught everything to myself. Don't take this class.
she doesn't teach she gives you videos to watch
I'm honestly so shocked to see all the bad reviews! Sure her class is pretty hard but she offers plenty of support if you need it and gives very clear direction for what is going to be on the tests! It sucks that the quizzes are only three questions because one mistake will getcha but she chooses the easiest ones from the HW!
I do not recommend taking Saxton. She didn't seem to care much about her students, and would barely teach us any of the new criteria we were being tested on. She did go over reviews, which are irrelevant. She does not give practices for exams, nor tells you what to study. Ends class hours early, and is very unorganized. Basically teach yourself....
DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!! This quarter was hell and I highly dont recommend. There are three exams which are 40% of your grade and only have 10 questions on them. The homework is on Wamap, and is due at a inconvenient time for most students and she refused to change it even though we all emailed her. Her zoom hours were one hour after the hw was due
I'm not gonna lie, this class was very hard. You have a 10 question review, 30-45 question homework, and a 3-5 question quiz each week. There are 3 exams that have 10-12 questions. It was manageable, but you have to stay on top of assignments. She gives clear instructions and grading criteria so that is nice. Just know your in for a lot of work.
Sharon was pulled out of teaching our class about 2-3 weeks into the quarter, and honestly, it was for the benefit of everyone! She was incredibly monotone and did not interact with any of us during class. Her method of explaining the problems was simply that, just explaining and not showing. Also the hw material is very little but very point heavy
Lectures and teaching style aren't super helpful. Homework is on wamap and there are usually youtube videos attached to the problems. (Honestly, youtube taught me most of this class). What is helpful is that lectures are recorded and posted, and participation is not required. She'll go over specific homework problems in class if you ask.
This class will be a little rough but nothing at a difficult or unreasonable pace. Plan yourself accordingly. For exams, it's about like 10 questions with a, b, c options but you are given a FULL FRONT PAGE of a note sheet to do all the notes. I emphasize NOT DOING HOMEWORK THE NIGHT BEFORE ITS DUE, some of them cover about 40-50 quick questions
You must work hard to do well in this class. She uses WAMAP for homework sets which are harder than the quizzes and tests she gives. Do not procrastinate on the practice sets, they take anywhere from 3-8 hours. She gives partial credit and is lenient on the methods you use to solve problems. Her lectures are helpful and usually cover test content.
The homework are long. You get 2-3 assignments and 1 quiz each week. The assignments are 30 questions and can take about 1-2 hours long. She does not teach and uses videos to teach. If you ask for an extension due to some problems she will not care. The quizzes have 4 questions so if you do one wrong it will significantly lower your grade.
We have quizzes every week and she doesn't help us prepare for them. They are short questions but they are very hard. The material on the wamaps is not the same on the quiz.
Hardest teacher ever.
You have to study hard for this class. If you want to have a life outside of school then don't take this professor. A lot of homework due every week and there is a quiz every week. She also doesn't teach the material well at all. Expects us to know everything and tells us to just study off WAMAP.
The time of when the homework are due is 11:00am instead of the standard 11:59pm which I think is difficult for some students.
I feel like Sharon gives out more quizzes than teach us the materials, its quiz after quiz and she doesnt even teach us whats on the quiz
The homeworks are so hard and she doesn't reach
Quizzes were 3 questions and worth 20 points, and tests were about 13 questions and worth 100 points. Miss one question and your grade tanks. Most of the time you're just learning through youtube videos than the actual professor. Overall, would not recommend this professor to anyone.
By far the WORST professor I have ever had in my life. Homework, exams, and quizzes were due at the most inconvenient times. Who even wants to submit their work by 8:00 am? She provided no review work for the exam, homework took hours to complete, and quizzes and exams were short but difficult and worth many points
This class was extremely difficult, and I believe that this was partly to do with the professor and partly because there was simply a lot of material. The class was very exam heavy so was hard to keep up with learning when there would be a test on an entire unit almost every 2 weeks, and a quiz every week.
This class is extremely difficult because there is no learning material provided by the teacher (it is all prerecorded youtube videos that go over a single problem) and assignment deadlines are very inconvenient. So much homework, but quizzes are very short and worth a lot of points, so if you miss one question your grade tanks.
all of her assignments are due tuesday and wednesday at 8 am and a quiz due at 8 am on thursday everyweek. its on wamaps and are very hard to understand. she does not teach at all and the exams weigh ALOT. unless you are a self taught learner, do not take this teacher. Each assignment can take 2-3 hrs and the quizzes/exams are timed.
By far the WORST professor I have ever had! She provides absolutely no review for her exams and expects you to learn from your past homework like it going to help. Her exams are weighted heavily so if you miss a few questions your grade will tank and its very hard to recover from that. Save yourself the stress and never take a class from her.
I took MATH141 and 142 with her online. This class was VERY difficult for me (as a person who already sucks at math!) There was about 3 (including a quiz) very tedious and very difficult assignments every week. I did not enjoy the class and still struggle with math. If you care about learning the topic, I would suggest taking her in-person.
I have taken this professor twice and love the course structure! The assignments follow the same pattern every week, I appreciated the predictability. Use all of the resources provided or you will be confused (lectures, textbook, youtube videos if needed) and take notes! Don't take this course, or any online math course, if you struggle with math.
She seems like a caring and genuine person, but the class itself is awful. The extremely long homework assignments (2-3 hrs) are worth very little, but the quizzes and exams are very short and make or break your grade. There are also no retakes and no extra credit options, so you'll need a thorough understanding of the lessons and luck to pass.
Professor is a really nice person and wants everyone to learn. She does schedule her office hours during common class times, which is inconvenient. However, she did find time to meet upon request. Tests and quizzes scored harshly and weighted heavily. Group project was not given enough time to succeed. Homework took 6-20 hours, or more.
Lectures consist of reading through notes found online, and there are three 3-7 hour wamaps due at 8:00am weekly. The quizzes and exams heavily impact your grade, with 20-point quizzes consisting of three questions, and a single missed question resulting in a failed quiz. Videos in the wamap provide better learning opportunities than the professor.
There were lots of resources given to understand the material which was helpful. Though the information on the notes and the assignments didn't always line up and it was confusing to understand at times, the professor replies quickly to messages and is very supportive.
I have taken three math courses in a row with Professor Saxton. The course structures are typically well organized and predictable. There is a tendency that I have noticed professor's feedbacks on the exams are not always direct and clear. I would have to ask students or do my research to understand my mistakes on the exams.
The Prof. doesn't really know how to teach, and when she does, she skims over everything way too quickly. The class is extremely test-heavy. You HAVE to be there for her weekly quizzes because it doesn't matter what your circumstance is, (your sick, or was unable to come to class), she will fail you. Homework is hard and she barely explains it.
She is super helpful and is patient with questions and explaining concepts. I will admit the homework is way more complicated than the lecture examples, but there's 4 tries for each problem, and you can regenerate similar questions up to 100 times to get full credit. There's also detailed solutions on most. Quizzes and tests are super simple.
I thought Prof Saxton was great. Her lectures were simple to understand, and if your final exam was higher, she would replace it with your lowest quiz. You can gain a good grade in her class if you try just a little and the two-question quizzes and the final were relatively easy.(I did well in math before this class so take that into consideration)
Ungodly amount of homework, final exam worth 20% of your grade, no extra credit, all work due at 8am, and the homework problems are so much harder than the examples shown in the 10 min lecture videos.
Lots of homework and weekly quizzes. I would not recommend taking this class online as I felt like I ended up teaching myself a lot of the material. She also gave me a hard time with my accommodations.
I took 4 classes in a row with this professor. Short lecture videos were provided but I just looked at the lecture notes she posted (very nicely written). Homework assignments can be long so don't try to do them in one day. Use the homework to study and you won't be surprised by exam questions. Easy to follow course structure.
She seems like she doesn't really know what she's doing and I had to learn literally everything from the textbooks because the lectures are useless. Timed tests are 75% of the grade, and expect to spend 5-8 hours on homework every week. Quizzes and exams are generally pretty easy. She drops your 2 lowest test scores. Doesn't give partial cred.
There is a lot of work in this class with weekly 40-50 question Wamap assignments and mini 20 question assignments and 3 question quizzes. The exams are heavily graded but in the end of the quarter Professor Saxton drops the lowest test score & she rounds up your final grade. The final project is group work where you must reach out to one another.
So nice and super helpful, always responds quickly and with concise assistance. Her courses follow a strict schedule and it's really nice to be able to rely on it to be the same each week. About 4-7 hours of work per week. Quiz or exam every week. One group project at the end.
She was very nice, caring, and supportive. Her lectures and homework were very heavy and she wanted us to deeply learn the concepts so I should say she kind of made learning a bit tough by giving too much complicated information. Her class is great if you are a calc freak though.
Very hands off and does not seem interested in being a professor. Classes are difficult and confusing. I wouldn't recommend
She often goes on tangents during lectures, but I found they helped me understand how calc is used outside of school. As others have said, WAMAP homework sets have many questions, which take a few hours each week. As long as you do the WAMAP problems properly, you should be ready for exams. Exam questions tend to be easier than the homework ones.
Professor Saxton's class is challenging, but if you stay on top of the work and utilize resources like the textbook and unstuck AI, you can succeed. The quizzes and tests are straightforward if you put in the effort.
To be fair, I've always struggled with math, it was my mistake taking it online. But I felt there was a lot more expectation of already knowing things and having a very good math foundation. If that's you and/or you study hard, then you'll do fine. About 55-85 problems total each week. I did like having the set schedule to rely on.
Save yourself. I took this class online with no lectures or explanations, just homework and quizzes due at 8 AM. I asked for an extension since I was at a competition, and she was dry and uninterested, just felt out denied it for the quiz. Had to teach all of it to myself. She has all these expectations but cannot even meet basic ones herself.
I like math, but this class forced me to teach myself pretty much everything. She just gives us 30-40 questions a week and a quiz, but doesn't actually teach or help us understand anything. She's super strict and stuck up about deadlines and won't give extensions either. If you're not gonna care about teaching, then why even be a professor???
Tests are most of grade and isn't related to any of the 35-50 questions of “practice problems” we have a week. the tests are horrible, 10 problems worth 10 points each. Professor is nice, gives us a list of topics to study for “clarity” but it's so vague. Exam includes things I had never seen before. Save yourself and don't take this class online.
I think it is very important that you understand going into this class that it is work, heavy, you have 3 tasks to do each week (5-7 hours total). It has a set schedule that you can't change, which is fine as long as nothing important comes up. She makes somewhat helpful lecture videos. For someone who likes math, I thought it was fine.
If you have the time to do 60-80 problems per week then this is the class for you! It's an online class so you have to do the learning all on your own. Unfortunately, some professors don't realize that you have a life besides school. She has 3 exams and doesn't give any practice exams??? The exams are worth 60% of your grade... BE AWARE!!!!
The class is hard, but she does provide online lectures for you to watch, which is nice. She has 3 exams but only 2 count to your grade, which is super nice. I think as long as you are self-motivated to get assignments done then you will do well in this class
I've taken 2 classes online with Professor Saxton now. Don't let my grade fool you- this is a tough class. Her lesson videos are helpful but don't cover everything, and the textbook isn't always super clear. I recommend learning how to have ChatGPT teach you things since it can give you real-time feedback. No practice sets before exams which sucks
ok you'll be good as long as u study a lot. It takes a little bit of time to get adjusted to the way she teaches (it was asynchronous) but she drops the lowest exam and quiz, as well as she grades so so promptly!! She would be very vague in her announcements but with a quick clarification email, you can get a much better idea of what she wants.
Homework is awful, too many practice problems with small point value, unhelpful lectures, quizzes were easy only 3-5 question, and deadlines @8am. This professor obviously favors students and doesn't care for the rest.
