Only went to the exams-my total grade was over 100%. She puts all of her lecture guides online. I just bought the book and used it to fill in all of the notes myself. I tried going to her lectures but she just confused me

Uses easy-to-follow Powerpoints to teach. Tends to drag on a lot but it gives you times to copy down the slides. She uses study guides where you fill in the blank, they are very helpful. She also has study guides for the exams that have all the questions you need to know for the exam. If you pay attention and study, you should do well.

Amazing professor. All of her classes have a ton of material (like all psychology classes), but you have to go to class to fill in your notes, and then you'll do great. Easy to understand, and she's very sweet.

OMG I love her! She is so easy and makes the lectures very easy to understand. She puts the lectures online and also posts tons of study materials. You barely have to understand psych to get an A in this class. She's really nice unless the room get's too loud...

Very good professor. Puts lecture guides online with blank spaces so you have to go to class to fill in the blanks. Puts everything into terms that is simple to understand. As long as you fill in the lecture guides and study, you will do great in this class.

She's very dry, but has her interesting moments- like drawing swimming trunks on a proportion scale of boys- but you can still see it. Exams are note based, although she'll throw in a couple book questions for those who read. Doesn't like people leaving/not attending, so bonuses to those who stay.

If you go to class and take good notes and make sure you understand the examples, you'll do well. The tests are mostly application-based questions, so you have to understand the concepts. She was very willing to help students understand the material. I would go and discuss everything with her a week before the test to make sure I understood. 9/10

Didn't use the textbook once, very clear fill in blank notes, got grades up on vista quickly, lots of extra credit oppurtunity, likes to use full class time but will never hold you a minute over. She really was great!!!

You do have to study, but her tests aren't tricky at all and they are always multiple choice. By far an easy A. The teacher basically wants everyone to do well. She hands out tons of extra credict and oppertunities to boost your grade. She makes note taking extremely easy.

Incredibly dull and her lectures drone on forever as others have mentioned. She loves study guides and handouts and is a notorious tree killer. You should do fine if you collect all the piles of crap she gives. I rarely attend due to it being the most boring class ever but currently have an A. I wouldn't reccomend unless you love boredom.

Dr.S is my favorite professor. She loves teaching psychology. Classes are very interesting, and she likes interaction. Don't talk or text in class though. She starts class and ends class right on time. I suggest her for any Psychology class! =)

didnt even touch my book. she tests only from the lecture notes and the study guide that she gives you to fill out during the lectures. boring subject but easy A. i suggest using flashcards to study with info from the study guide and the lecture notes.

She genuinely cares about all of her students, and is extremely willing to help us out with advice or additional information. She gives out too many handouts which makes me feel bad for all the waste. But she is kind and helpful and clear, and she seems to always design her lectures so that they are useful for life, not only for passing her tests.

Buy a 1.5 inch or 2 inch binder if you take psychology, because she will give out lots of lecture material. She's very nice and will help you as much as possible, so don't worry about difficulty. Follow the lecture guides when studying for the exams and attend the lectures regularly and you'll have no problem!

She is very kind and helpful, albeit inexperienced with operating the clickers and her powerpoints. Offers lots of opportunities for extra credit and rewards those who attend her classes. Homework is thorough but infrequent, and exams are not too difficult. Very useful and knowledgeable.

Take her. She is very helpful. She sends you a lot of emails to keep you on track. She makes the information easy for you to understand. She can talk for hours but she is great.

As far as point go this class is simple. Although i couldnt buy a C on a test. TAKE NOTES IN CLASS. The book is almost worthless if you take notes, but you do need the Connect code to do homework, WORTH BUYING BOOK IN THE STORE

Dr. S. is awesome. I took the class reluctantly, but I ended up being really glad I did. I learned so much. Her enthusiasm and understanding of the subject make the class fun. I'd feel better about the money I'm spending if all profs at KSU were even half as good as Dr. S. I'd take her class again in a heartbeat.

Took Psych of Adjustment with her. Class was easy, fun, and interesting. I definitely recommend her. She knows what she's talking about.

Abnormal psych was a very interesting class. Dr. Sciartelli makes the class interesting and fun. There are study guides for every test. If you know them you will do fine on the test. Extra credit is offered as well. Take with her!!!!!!!!!

She is a good teacher. My class had about 350 students and she maintained good control. Go to class and PAY ATTENTION if you want to know what's going on. Her exams are from lecture and the book. Expect to study for exams and the questions on the exams are mostly situational (e.g. Molly does ___. What kind of disorder does Molly have?)

I had her for Gen Psych. While her lectures could get very dry and boring and I had like no interest in the subject, I think it was an easy class. As long as you show up and put in some effort it really isn't difficult at all.

Had her for General Psyc, and it was one of the easiest classes I've ever had. As long as you come to class and take all the notes you're good because test questions are based mostly on lecture. Dr. Sciartelli is interested in her subject and I think she teaches it well and makes it easy. As long as you try and care about your grade you'll be good.

Dr. S. takes a lecture hall of 100+ students and transforms it into an intimate forum. The precision of her syllabus allows everyone, if they so choose, to be on the same page at all times. She's down to earth in her approach and she addresses the data in a way that lay psychologists can easily grasp. Take this course!

Everyone take all of the classes she offers. She gives study guides so if you truly know it like the back of your hand and you'll get an A

Interesting class and a great teacher. Went to every class but tests are not hard if you study some. There are practice quizzes with exact questions on the test and study guides that tell you everything you need to know for the test. A lot of extra credit and if you see her in office hours you can get a couple of points back on the tests.

I think she's a fantastic teacher. She can get on a bit of a roll sometimes to the point where it's hard to ask questions, but has tons of knowledge and is obviously passionate for her subject. Very accessible and helpful during office hours. Not the easiest class in the world, but that's more on the subject matter. Very detailed study guides.

Dr. Sciartelli is incredibly smart, genuine and helpful (if you ask!) She makes her grading criteria crystal clear, and even though her class is in a large lecture hall, you can tell she cares about students individually, even going as far as emailing each and every one to check up on grades. She understands the different learning styles and gives a lot of study materials to prep for tests. Exams aren't too bad if you know the material pretty well. Just show up and take notes. Have a buddy you sit by take them in case you miss class. Print out the lecture guides posted online. She does want you to succeed. Its possible to get over 100% on exams if you study. It's hard to get research credits if you are under 18. Only use the book for the few homework assignments online. Would take again.

READ AND ABIDE THE SYLLABUS. Sciartelli makes it the easiest class with simple exams, participate in studies or write papers on them, and online homework you can google the quizlet answers to. Thats all the grading material and she gives an abundance of extra credit so you can get an A with Cs on exams. However, she is VERY annoying in class.

One of the best professors I've ever had. She has a passion for teaching psych and it shows. She is available to help you when you need her, and if you go to every class, you will get an A. Every class is worth about 15 exam points, so going is important. I loved this class, and recommend Sciartelli to anyone.

Dr. S made the lectures very interesting. She put outlines on Blackboard to print out and bring to class and they made following along in lecture very easy. I took her for Social psych. I had to miss a month of school and she helped me a lot to catch up and earn my grade. She is very understanding. Her tests are a little harder though, but if you are struggling just talk to her.

Sharon is my GIRL. She speaks in a way that is so easy to comprehend and she really helps you understand the material with visual examples and scenarios. Definitely would recommend. She is also very sweet. You do need to study for the exams and quizzes just like any other class, but she gives you study guides that are basically the test.

Her lectures are very interesting, print out the lecture outline before class it's very useful! She gives you all the tools you need to succeed! Just make sure to utilize them! Always willing to help and assist students and you can tell she loves her job, which makes going to her class much easier.

She also holds review sessions 2 days before the test, which is very helpful, and she has an assistant that holds study groups every week, but I have never been to one. There are quizzes before every test, ALL the questions are on quizzlet, so its pretty chill

Sharon is one of the better professors I have had. She really lays everything out for you. You do have to read and there is a lot of note taking but she will specify what you need to study and will help guide you through the material. Social Psych course consists of 2 short opinion papers, four exams and one final.

I personally think Dr. Sciartelli is the Holy Grail of Professors. There's homework but not an overload, you can chose whether you want to come to class b/c the slides are still available. The study guide isn't just a recap of the lecture slides but detail things you should know for the exam. & she provides you with a practice exam! Great Professor

I have had Dr. Sciartelli for two classes and she is awesome. If you study for her tests you'll do fine, and she gives out a study guide before each test with the exact questions that will be on it. She's entertaining and very approachable! But don't waste your money buying the textbook for social or gen. psych, I never used either of them.

Sciartelli is fine, her class is easy and if you actually put effort into Gen Psych you won't have any issues.

Probably my favorite professor, she's very thorough in her lectures and very clear about what's on the exams. She provides study materials a week before every exam, has lecture outlines for every class, and gives due date reminders daily. She makes sure we know how to access mental health resources and help (especially during disorders unit)

Super sweet lady. One of the few professors at Kent State University who truly care. She is very straight forward, and gives many practice exam items. Very helpful with any concerns you might have.

for general psychology she babies the class. she reads off the powerpoint. all exams are based on the lectures and examples. the $70 textbook was worthless aside from the fact that the homework is through the online textbook. THE FINAL IS ACCUMULATIVE!!!!!

I had her for general psychology and if you come to class and sit in on the lectures you will receive a good grade. Even though attendance ins't mandatory it helps a lot to come to every class. There are overall five exams and one final over everything. The exams are pretty in depth , but she really knows her stuff and is a good prof.

Great professor and class. Extremely knowledgeable, exams are predictable provided you do the practice items and look at the study guides. The provided note outlines make taking notes really easy. Very lecture heavy, but they're interesting. Only issue is that sometimes there's so much info it can feel overwhelming during class.

I like how she gives us many study tools a week before the exam. The study tools are really helpful and make the transition from high school to college easier on freshmen.

Gen Psych is completely lectures, but Dr. Sciartelli does an amazing job at clearly explaining the topics and makes study guides for each exam. Even though lectures arent mandatory, the way that Sharon explains material makes it so much easier to understand. Overall she cares about her students and wants everyone to do well. There is not much work outside of class other than homework and it is easy to earn a lot of extra credit if needed.

Extra credit is huge for this class it's easy points and they can help your grade a lot. The tests are easy if you put even just a little bit of time to study.

Dr S is the BEST. She is the most caring and genuine professor/teacher I've ever had. She cares about the students and their grades. Show up to lectures, take good notes (that are spoon fed to you) and get all the hw's and SONA's done & it's the easiest A+ you'll ever receive. 10/10 recommend Dr S. Going to miss her.

Dr. Sciartelli really roots for you to be your best. Go to her office hours if you need help with anything! She is a super fantastic professor, can't recommend her enough!

I love Dr. S. Really great prof and resource to talk to about career stuff. She does not post slides so you need to go to class. Content is not hard but you have to really study for exams (don't cram the night before and expect to do well), lots of memorization. She makes lecture interesting and you can tell she cares about students.

I liked Sciartelli, her exams are not easy but are 100% doable if you follow her study guides and prep worksheets. She is accessible by office hours if you have questions about your grade.

Dr. Sciartelli is a great professor. I took her General Psychology class online, and really enjoyed it. There was no textbook for the class, but her classes were all lectures. There are tests every unit, but she gives review guides that have what you need to know on the test. Very nice professor, very pure and caring, would take her class again.

Dr. S is an amazing professor, she really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I took her online and her lectures were pretty straightforward, open note exams, drops lowest exam score, offers extra credit. If you watch the lectures and fill in the study guides the class will be an easy A.

Dr S was a really great prof! The exams were easy and a review guide was given for each exam and theres extra credit. You could tell she really cared about her students and wanted us to succeed. It was a fun class too! The exams were also open note. I highly recommend!!

I love Dr. S! I have had her for General Psych, Abnormal Psych and Social Psych. I am taking Social psych now. She is a great professor. Lots of extra credit up to 21 points! She does assign homework through the online book but not hard at all. Also you have three independent reading chapters worth 30pts and one paper worth 30pts. She drops an exam

Dr. Schiartelli is very clear on what she expects. There are five exams, one of which the grade gets dropped. The exams are sort of hard, and I found her lectures sort of boring. There are lots of grades to make up for a bad exam and there's a big extra credit opportunity

She is very helpful and if you need more help out of class she will gladly give it. It is very helpful to come to class to get instruction and review for exams. She gives a bunch of extra credit options if you need it. Overall a great professor and I would recommend this class if you enjoy the subject. Also not a lot of homework and pretty lay back

She drops your lowest exam grade. She responded to emails very quickly. Committed to helping her students learn. But be sure to take advantage of the study material. Some lectures could drag on. Overall, if you study for exams and show up to class you shouldn't have a problem.

My favorite professor so far at Kent! She did a great job providing outlines that were very well detailed and study guides to prepare for the exams. There was also extra credit available. Overall, she really showed that she cared about the success and learning of her students.

My favorite professor as a psych major. She inspired me to continue in my major. Her lectures are chalk-full of information, and the readings are often helpful. She provides study guides, practice quizzes, and the occasional handwritten single page of notes during exams. She is passionate and well-versed in every class I have taken by her.

Very nice professor. I found the lectures a little boring since she just reads off the slides. Tests were a little harder than they needed to be, but nothing crazy difficult. You'll do good if you stay on top of the homework. Do need textbook, homework is online through the book.

She was overall a great professor, she mainly just read off of the slides for the lectures. The exams are mainly all about memorizing the definitions of different terms.

By far my favorite professor and class. She's understanding, caring and wants you to do good, she offers a good amount of extra credit. Although homework is heavy, its easy and you can use the book. An easy class!!!!!

She provides more than enough material to do well, plus the book which aligns very well with how she teaches things. Easy A if you go to class and try even a little bit! She's very knowledgeable and answers questions/does reviews for every exam. Very helpful.

I had her for Social Psych and then Psych Assessment back to back. She is really nice but the Connect HW assignments are a pain. Overall, I think there are too many exams, 4 unit exams and a final are overdoing it in my opinion and caused some stress. Go to class and take good notes.

Dr. Sciartelli's class was great. Her lectures were very interesting and I often found myself applying a lot of the course content to my life. The exams are difficult (there are extended response), but if you study you'll be fine. She is very passionate and caring. She challenges her students to think. And she always has answers to every question.

Sciartelli is a great professor. Study guides are comprehensive and tests are easy as long as you study. There are reading Inquisitives but they are easy to complete. Throughout the semester you must participate in studies to earn full credit, but extra credit is available, and studies are easy as long as you start early in the semester.

One of the best professors I've ever had.

This has been my first year of college and she has made this semester much easier. Even though there is quite a bit of work she puts in just as much to make sure students are prepared and can do the best they can. She is very open to give help and feedback and always makes time to speak with you after or before class.

There's not enough space to even describe how incredible she was. As a freshmen she eased my anxiety about exams and studying so much. Many opportunities for extra credit. Exams weren't hard as long as you prepared for them (she also gives a practice test in slides which is so helpful).best professor i've had this semester i wish her all the best!

i would highly recommend professor sciartelli. i was nervous to take psych, but i would 1000% do it again knowing how good this experience was. there are 5 exams, and she will drop your lowest score. my biggest piece of advice is to show up to class, even though it is not required. also, do the extra credit- there are 20 extra points!

Exams are hard but if you study a lot you should be able to do good. She is very helpful if you are struggling and cares about her students. Make sure to take notes because it helps a lot with exams. With exams she gives study guides and worksheets to help. Has a couple homework assignments per unit. One of my favorite professors.

This was my first time taking Psychology, and I was a little nervous going into the class. I found that attending the lectures was really helpful because most of the material on the test is talked about in the lecture. Her study guides were very clear and helped guide you in the correct direction for studying. I loved this class and how she taught!

I took this class as a gen ed and for all the exams I only studied the night before and got all A's. Even though I would not recommend this method if you have to do it then you will be fine. She seemed like a nice person and has clear guidelines about everything that is done in class. She also graded exams really fast.

Really nice professor, she knows what she is talking about. The course is pretty difficult, or at the very least very work heavy. I didn't do the extra credit but I should have, and if you take her classes take advantage of the extra credit opportunities. The exams are pretty difficult, she does give comprehensive guides but still study, trust me.
