She is nice but the tests and quizzes are not worth enough points to get you a good grade. Her class times are not convenient.

Professor for online classes, EASY A, bad thing her exams can range from major concepts to smallest detail so you have to study, but if you are a bio major definitly take her, gives extra credit practice quizzes that show you 90% of the real exam, she has one of these quizzes per chapter, bad on quiz=nothing on grade, only exam grades are counted

She is a funny lady! She cracks jokes all the time, which takes pressure off the class. The lab so far are quite easy. She has quizzes right when you enter class, quizzes are pretty easy too as long as you remember what was said and done in the prior lab.

I took the online course. Anatomy is not an easy class at all, but she offers extra credit points for every test to help you out. The tests are difficult but she offers powerpoints and tips on what to focus on for every test.

I took her online class and it was crazy hard because like previous ppl have said you teach yourself, BUT if you have a question she willingly schedules a time to meet her and is amazingly funny and sweet. Don't email her a major question, just meet her in her office and you'll be fine. Be willing to read and memorize like crazy, though.

She is not as bad as everyone makes her out to be. Am in her class & she explains everything in detail & assist us whenever we need help. She answers questions, lets us know what to expect on our exam, she does reviews & she does go through the book. Her class is hard, very straightforward, but at the same time you learn. She is cool & funny!

She is a great professor for seriously commited students, but no joke for those who just want to pass. I took her online and lab classes - liked them both, and studied very hard. I do recommend her for anyone going into the health field becasue she knows the stuff and she makes sure you know it too.

The people that rated her badly are lazy, because this teacher is great... if you do the work!!! She made things easy to understand and is always willing to explain. Plus you can show up at any of her other classes if you need to skip one. I totally reccomend her!!

I just finished her lab, and I think she is a great teacher. She was extremely helpful and explained things very well. I learned so much in her class and would definitely take her class again :)

She taught my anatomy & physiology lab and I thought she was excellent !!! She has a great sense of humor & the class was fun. It was hard, quizzes every class, but study & attend & you'll do great ! I didn't pass, but that's my fault, but I would re-take her again no question about it !!! Go for it

Just got an A, I took her online lecture. All I did was read the chapters thoroughly, study the chapter quizzes (available online, so I can re-quiz myself w/out seeing the answers from blackboard) & also studied the textbook review questions. The class was fine, just have to put in the time. She's nice, but expects hard work.

Professor Simpson is an excellent instructor she was very cooperative and she was on top of her class. I got a ?B? but I knew this class was very hard especially if taken online. I enjoyed this class very much I learned a lot.

This teacher was very clear she answered all questions but when i took her class online it was so hard! i suggest if you take the class, you take the actual lecture where you can see her face to face or if you have to take it online make sure you don't have a lot of classes

Anat I Online, got an A. Assignments were clear, not too difficult. I studied a lot, read the entire Anat I book, each chapter twice, once for quizzes, once for test. Gives extra credit to help. Last two tests were extra hard. Am taking her again for online 1086. Have to be a good self-learner and organized for online! A bit scared of 1086... :(

If you are trying to get into the nursing progam you must take her. Her class is not going to be easy but you must put the time in. She is very fair. She is always available and will help you as long as you are not lazy. You need to know all th material anyway. So if you take someone easier you will be only hurting yourself for he future.

Took online class. Not a cake walk, but I anticipated that going into the class. Yes, there is A LOT of studying necessary, but ALL of the info is in the powerpoints. I passed with an "A-"; she answers your questions, just takes a couple of days; reviews are vague, but helpful. Don't take if you cant absorb info w/out lectures; not for everyone!!

I took her lab and i must say it was a nightmare. The quizzes were fairly easy if you studied, but when i took her practical which is like ten times the points for a quiz i was shocked at how in depth the questions were. 75% of the class dropped it after the practical as did i. Dont take her if youre not going to study 24/7..

Prof. Simpson was tough but fair. She will not spoon feed you but helps you to help yourself. Personable but also very no-nonsense. There were only 2 A's in the entire class. I got an A- and later attended medical school. She wrote one of my letters of recommendations. All the whining I see on here, wait until you experience upper university exams.

Dr. Simpson is a great professor. Very knowledgeable and always cracks me up. Her humor really made this course bearable. Her class is not for the lazy though. If you don't really want to learn anything and get an easy "A" you probably should not take her. Read the lab manual well and know the material before quizzes. All the answers are there.

Did not take her for AP2, only AP1. WISH I HAD HER! Curves overall grade, gives extra credit, gives exam study guides and is overall SO FRIENDLY!!!! DO NOT TAKE PARKASH! Take Simpson. Same exams, same everything, only difference is Simpson cares and gives XCredit and an exam review and Parkash is rude and leaves you hanging- no help, review or XC!

Good overall experience. She is very helpful in the dissections and histology. Must read all material and be prepared !!

I'm so glad I took A&P 2 lab with Professor Simpson. Any time I needed help understanding a concept she would take the time to explain it thoroughly. I had questions outside of class and emailed her and she always replied in a prompt manner. I'm confident that when it comes to teaching anatomy and physiology it doesn't get better than Prof. Simpson

Amazing professor!! If you get close to her she will help you even more. Has very helpful tools on D2L that helped me pass the final with flying colors. Be careful with her weekly quizzes they're a little tricky, all of them are mostly on the physiology, but just study and you'll be fine.

If you love what you do, and genuinely want to learn something, and pass required classes for most medical programs take this class!!! I think she is a fantastic professor, she is not the easy A but she loves what she does and if you apply yourself and show interest she has a lot of knowledge to impart.

I don't understand why Dr. Simpson is rated so low. She is a phenomenal teacher, with a clear passion for Anatomy & Physiology. She cares about her students, will stay after class to make sure a student understands, gives extra credit opportunities plus drops a quiz. A&P is not easy, but she adds humor and makes it interesting!

Dr. Sharon Simpson is certainly underrated and deserves a higher score. A dedicated A&P teacher with depth of knowledge (especially histology and dissection). She genuinely cares about her students, stays after lab to help them better understand, gives extra credit opportunities online and adds humor to make a difficult subject interesting and fun!

I took her for summer term Anatomy 1 at central campus (online). It was a tough class because there is a HUGE amount of information over a short period of time but she is by far the best professor I've had and I've been taking science classes (as I've was a science major) at FSU and FAU; she's right up there with another favorite!

Sharon is an amazing professor. I took her for lab and she's really laid back, funny and witty, and easy to get along with. She goes out of her way to give us tools to help us on the practical(s) such as slide shows of different organs under the microscope. All the assignments are online and she made every lab direction clear. Would take again!!

She is definitely always there to help anyone, I took lecture online and her lab as well. You do have to work, and I feel most people giving her low ratings didn't do any work and didn't try. You have to try. Make flashcards for slides, pig, and structures - they help a lot. She was a wonderful professor and I really recommend her.

Ms Simpson is a great on line professor. She is helpful, gives great feedback and responds to emails quickly. She also offers extra credit but you better be prepared to read and do ALL assignments. Study study study. I hope she teaches A and P 2. I would take her class again.

Quizzes and a bit extra credit for all chapters. Extra credit is a bit difficult and isn't worth much. Quizzes are easy if you read the 3-4 page chapters a few times before taking. Points for attendance. Easy class if you study some.

She is very responsive, when you send her emails she will answer you within 48 hours. As long as you do your work and study you will be fine. She is fair and understanding.

Once you get to know Professor Simpson you will like her. Shes funny and answers all questions. Shes really willing to work with you and provides extra credit. Quizes are online as well as extra credit. If you think you got a correct answer wrong she is more than willing to fix it for you. She allows both lab manual which is kind of confusing

AP is hard in general. Outline chapters, read read read and you will do well. The discussions, assignments and quizzes are not bad. The exams are hard but if you really outline the chapters you'll do find. She gives a study for the exams which are helpful. Professor is very helpful!

The best anatomy/physiology lab professor so far that I had. She is very helpful and funny. I loved the fact that she gave us practice practicals for extra credit. It really help me prepare for the real practicals. Plus she gives you quizzes online for each chapter. She also made sure you understand the materials during lab.

SHe sends an email prior to each exam hilighting what will be on it. She also allows you to complete assignments and discussion throughout the term

I loved Professor Simpson! She designed her class to ensure you actually learn the material. I managed an 'A' but I had to work for it. For weekly quizzes: study the book's website quizzes, and for the exams study her notes! She gives a study guide to help, study her notes then read those topics in the book and you will pass!

Professor Simpson is an amazing Anatomy & Physiology lab teacher. I took her Anatomy & Physiology 2 lab class & really enjoyed it. She explains everything in detail at the beginning of the class & will help you if you need it. Online quizzes weekly, midterm & final practical are the assignments in her class. Study the lab manual & you'll be fine.

Took this class online. You order a fetal pig from the website provided and dissect everything at home. She gives great tutorials and shows you what to do. The weekly practice practicals and quizzes aren't too hard. The final is your only exam. Use the practice practicals to study and you'll do great! :) Would definitely take her class again!

I took this lab online and as long as you do the assignments you will most likely get an A. Does not take too much of your time The final was just like the practice practicals done mostly every week. The only downside about taking a lab online would be having to pay for dissection material (about 50 dollars). Other than that, great and easy class.

I loved her! I enjoyed going to class. She's very funny. Respect her and she will respect you. You have to study! Its anatomy and physiology so STUDY! I got a D on midterm and final but passed the class with a B. She gives HW online that is extra credit and quizzes online. Super easy!

As long as you do all of your assignments and assessments, its not that hard to pass. Practice Practicals are difficult and time consuming. If taken on campus, partial credit for misspelled words but not in this class. Corrects errors if found though. 1 final practical instead of 2 usually given on campus. Recommended to people who work full time

Professor Simpson was great! The class is very hard because it is a lot of material to remember. There is a lot of reading! I took this class online so it was pretty hard. She is very fair and works with her students. One assignment per chapter and one discussion per 4 chapters.

She's a great teacher, knows her stuff, take the time to explain materials and you get clarity for lecture based on her explanations. Loved her class, and she's funny. I wish she teaches a lecture class.

This professor will forever be one of my favorite undergraduate professors. If you went through Anatomy 1 lab and you got an A, there's no reason you shouldn't get an A in this class. She gives a TON of extra credit, reopens quizzes online if she really likes you. TAKE HER.

Dr. Simpson was great. She was very clear in her course work and quickly answered any questions you had. She is a quick grader. My only dislike is spelling counts for her tests, midterm, and final.

There are a lot of materials to cover within each chapter. She responds quickly to questions and concerns. Syllabus and grading criteria is pretty clear. At least 10 hrs is needed to set aside in order to fully grasp the topics of each chapter. Be prepared to ACTUALLY LEARN. Not an easy "A" type of course.. you have to EARN IT... literally

Respect her and she respects you! Make sure you do all your assessments and really take the time to look for the answers without cheating online, that way you will most definitely have an A no doubt. She gives extra credit. A lot of work but it is Anatomy and Phys. Doesnt really make it easier but she tries to help those who put in work.

She's probably the best professor I've had so far at BC. She actually cares about her students and she makes anatomy interesting in fun. If you do bad in her class you're clearly slacking because she gives so much extra credit and is willing to help you out. If you had a tough time in anatomy 1 you should take her!

Good teacher. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, and pretty funny too. She's definitely easy to get along with and for the hard subject that is BSC2086L, she is definitely willing to help you with the course. Gives a lot of extra credit also. Only flaw I would say is that she's not easy to get a hold of outside of class.

A&P is difficult to learn due to the excessive content needed to be memorized and the reading needed to be completed even before your first class. I liked the candid nature of this professor which kept lab interesting, and her dumbed down explanations that lifted the totally lost back up to the level of the rest of the class. Iwas always prepared.

Online practical and quizzes... Subject isn't the easiest but she's great with helping you to understand. Funny, nice, and sweet. Took in spring. I highly recommend her if you have trouble learning. Taking her A&P2L this fall. She's not a hard teacher but you do memorize a lot

Very thorough teacher. Class is very organized and she explains everything step by step in the first class. Homework is optional for extra credit but really helps you understand the information. You get 5 points for every class so skipping affects your grade and also causes you to miss out on pictures and models that may be on the practical.

only two exams midterm and final. spelling counts on exams. only points received for daily lab attendance, quizzes, and tests. must review little by little each night. each exam covers about 12 chapters all in one. very nice and caring will help you outside of class.

She's a great lab professor even though it's a very tough class. We had quizzes for every practical as well as practice practical quizzes which help you learn a lot. She's funny and entertaining and has great little jokes to help you remember parts of the human anatomy throughout the class. Very different than other science professors at BC.

Read each chapter BEFORE class & jot down any questions to ask during the lab. Make sure you come prepared & on time (she is a stickler for punctuality). The digital quizzes make up a large part of your grade to aim to do well on those & do the extra credit.

She is a tough grader. Students focus on midterm and final, but if you want to get an A, you need to focus on quizzes as well. Read the text book at least twice before you'll take the quizzes. It will help a lot. Also, don't skip the class and study in the lab! I got a 100% on the finals even though I'm a foreign student. You can do it. Good luck:)

Dr. Sharon Simpson is so funny! Shes a really good professor. She gives very clear directions and will help you if you need help. I would take her for anatomy II lab but unfortunately this gem is retiring after the spring 2018 term :(. But I learned a lot and am glad I got to have her as a professor. Very smart , helpful, and hilarious woman.

she was a great professor, but the class was hard. She offers extra credit that helps A TON for studying, so you have to do it all. She also offered videos which were like her lectures, those helped so much too. I actually learned a lot in her class.
