She's awesome! She gave me a huge thing of Sunny D. What a doll. :) She's very encouraging and helpful and can keep punks in line. Probably one of the best teachers at UWEC.

She's nice, communicates well, etc. But I was frustrated because she spent much more time than reasonable discussing racial issues. It seemed that would have been more a topic for a sociology class. Also, she allowed the race discussion to get too emotion

She has to be the easiest psy. teacher at uwec. If she isn't, i know to know who is. She is also very nice and can be helpful if you have a problem. You get to drop your lowest test and drop your 2 low quizzes! You would be dumb not to take this class!

Easy A

Get the study guide that you can buy with the book and do the module reviews before the tests because she takes questions right from the study guide! She is very easy, just do the reaction papers and read the mods and you will get a good grade!

Read and do reactions and you are set.If you have had any general psyc in highschool you'll nearly ace this class like me.

Great class, great professor

At first, this class will seem like it's going to be hard, but it's actually quite easy. Put a little effort into the reactions and exams and you're good to go! Westphal is an AWESOME prof.

boring class but very easy

EASY! Participation papers and reaction papers are simple. Two non-traditional tests that everyone gets perfect scores on. Drop your lowest test grade. Not much else to say, other than she is a very nice lady and will take the time to get to know you if you allow her to.

Very nice lady. Different style of teaching...but easy. I learned a lot in this class, and didn't have to devote too much time.

Westphal is a very good professor. Her class is very easy for a reason. She wants you to learn the material and spark your interest. Participation papers and reaction papers are easy and actually fun to do. No Quizes and tests are easy. Show up everyday and earn an easy A without much effort.

I liked her, she was very straight forward. Basically if you did the reading and the easy 1 page papers you got an A. The only bad part of hte class is the amount of busy work but I still would take any of her classes.

Very easy A. A little busy work, but its really easy. Just write a few reaction papers and get an A. This is as easy as it can get!

Sharon is great. She likes to get to know her students, even though she has too many. Its an easy A, but worth your time. Interesting and very funny.

Sharon is nice. Her class is reaaaal easy. I pulled an A- and would have gotten higher had I skipped so much class. Her tests are straight out of the book so if you just read it, you're good. I found that the study guide was pretty helpful also, especially on the day before the test. HA!

Sharon is an awesome prof. A great intro class. I had an A so didn't have to take the final b/c she drops a test grade. This class was very interesting and informative. We did a lot of papers, but they were just easy points. Read the book and you'll be fine :)

A lot of busy work, but it's easy. Tests aren't difficult and all multiple choice. Can be a little boring, but it can also be interesting at times. Definately take for an A.

Best teacher and class i had all semester. You have to read but its not hard. She explains everything and gives good notes. Tests = easy, aslong as you study your notes and have read the chapters. PAPERS = lots of little dinky 2 pagers summarizing what youve learned from reading. VERY HARD TO FAIL CLASS TONS OF EXTRA CREDIT AVAILABLE

She is one awesome professor. She seems to know what she's talking about it and has a passion for psychology. Helpful and understanding if you need to makeup a test. It's a bit of work, but if you do it, you'll pass with a good grade.

Westphal is the awesome. Assigns a lot of short papers but they are easy. Test are fair if you do the reading. Definitely take her as a professor if you can. She relates very well to students our age.

I really liked her and liked the fact that she realized it was an intro course so she keep it at that level. The material is actually interesting and she makes it easy to do well if you just do the work. Definitely recommend her to fill your general eds.

Very interesting. Lots of handouts. Knowledgeable. Lots of 2p double-spaced papers. reaction papers. totally multiple choice tests. Easy to study for.Study guide available. Lots of extra credit. 100% on all papers, regardless of quality- if you include all the things she specifies, you win. No penalty for spelling errors- just points them out.

Good professor lots of papers and reading. Tests are kind of hard need to know a lot of mind and body functions and what happens where. If you do all of the papers and okay on tests you will get an A!

No other professor could be more clear and helpful. This was one of the intersting classes I had in college. Sharon is sure to make the students learn something new in every lecture. The class is not hard at all, sure she asks for a paper almost every week but they are only 2 pages which should be a breeze for every college student.

If I hadn't had Sharon my first semester of college I would have dropped out, she actually cares about her students and trys to learn everyone's names, she remembers everything you tell her. She is an awesome professor.

She was the best teacher I have ever had. Even in a class of 60 students, she got to know each of us personally and cared about what was going on outside of the classroom too. The class itself wasn't hard, mostly busy work.

Sharon is one of the nicest teachers i have had here at Eau Claire. She is really helpful, understanding and knows how to teach the material realyl well. I have learned so much in this class and even if you dont do really good on the exams (which are 50 multiple choice questions), you can still easily maintain an A in the class.

Super easy class. Show up and listen and you will have an A. Tons of short papers which are automatic A's guarentee that unless you bomb the (easy) tests you will have an A.

Westphal is a GREAT lady. Very helpful, always cheerful. Lots of papers, but they are super easy and you always get 20/20. Tests are ok if you study for them...TAKE WESTPHAL she's great.

Good prof. The class is easy and you learn a lot about yourself by the end of the semester. Grades are based on 1 traditional exam, 1 group project/presentation, 3 other individual projects, class participation (there are many guest speakers you write thank-you's to). Definitely a recommended professor, easy A.

Take this class if you need it and want an A. The tests are not that hard if you study, and even if you do bad, there are so many other grades anyways. She teaches right from the book so you don't even have to go to class. EASY A

Sharon is a wonderful teacher. She knows what she is talking about, wants to make sure you understand, and will go out of her way to help you out in any way that she can. 100 is pretty easy with her. Tests are mostly from the book, so you could do fine with out going to class, but she really makes it enjoyable, so going to class doesn't hurt at all

Probably one of the best professors here at UWEC. Loved this class, enjoyed every minute of. Lot of papers but they're really easy. Take this class if you're looking for 3 credits and an A

Professional, clear teaching method. Use the purchased study guide and you'll do great on the tests. Do all the extra credit, study the guide and an "A" is yours.

Only had her for 1/2 the semester due to her injury. Lectures the notes to you with barely any visuals. Reading the modules and the notes before your all multiple choice tests is recommended. No quizzes, lots of EC opportunities. Great lady, just not my teaching style.

This class was easy to get an A in. The first test was hard, but it was the only multiple choice test. The rest of the test grades were projects.

Didn't have her the whole semester due to her injury, and very sad about that. Really good teacher, loved her teaching methods. Easy class, just do your readings and DO THE EXTRA CREDIT it is easy. All multiple choice tests. Real straight forward. Recommend her, she is a great prof.

The only class I've ever enjoyed a lecture in. Hers are interesting, easy to follow, and straight from the book. Reading the mods is recommended they really reinforce the info. Do that, come to class, and you'll get an A for sure.

This prof is a effective teacher. She is clear and concise. Class work is a joke. You write a one page paper once a week and its all your opinions- super easy and you will always get 100%. Test are difficult if you dont read or study but if you do they will be easy. She can get boring at some times but I liked her and would reccomend to anyone.

FIRST EXAM IS VERY HARD. STUDY. Prof Collins is very astute at teaching. Class attendance is important in order to grasp the material. Her class is interesting so going to class is enjoyable.

As of right now, Westphal is my favorite prof. She is very nice, and understanding. You don't do much in class-she usually just talks, and the participation papers are easy points. Tests are kind of difficult, but if you study you should be fine. And take advantage of the extra credit!

honestly easiest class i have ever taken. the first exam was bs. i didnt study for it and i still got an a. only one actual written test the rest were super easy projects. if you get the number of pages required (never over 3) your going to get 100%

Great professor. I always wanted to go to class because we had great dicussions and neat presenters. Easy class, you will get an A if you show up every day. Only one exam, the rest are all easy and valuable projects. Take this class with this professor without a doubt! :)

Interesting prof, knows what she is talking about. Do extra credit, read material, do practice quizzes, come to class, and do participation papers, and you will get an A. Listen in lecture, she is interesting.

She's a pretty good professor, but has her moments. Very opinionated, but not too bad. Her class is relatively fun, but everything is from the book. So if you read the book, do practice quizzes, and write your extremely easy participation papers, you'll be fine and get out with at least a B. Her exams can be tough but then again its all in the book

I thought this class was really good for an intro class. I learned a lot about many different aspects of psychology. Sharon basically took lectures straight out of the book. The tests are pretty easy, some tricky questions though. Easy to make up points with extra credit and participation papers. Sometimes hard to pay attention in class.

This class is great; you learn so much about yourself and humanity. Don't even worry about your grade; A's are very easy to get. All grades are based on personal reflections. Never opened my textbook and got an A. Invest yourself into this class and you'll get a lot out of it.

What can I say? She explains all the concepts well in class. She uses wonderful examples that make learning the material enjoyable. She's passionate and always in a good mood. The tests are a piece of cake if you just listen in class and read the text. Overall an outstanding professor

This class was so much fun! I learned a lot about myself and got to know my classmates well throughout the semester. I am honestly sorry this class is over. Easy A as long as you put some thought into your assignments.

Professor Westphal is an amazing professor. She truly cares about each one of her students on a individual basis. Go to class, talk in class discussions, read, and study. Not too difficult, but you learn so much. Extremely knowledgeable in the subject and gives book suggestions. I would definately suggest taking Professor Westphal!!!!

Very easy, all you have to do is read the book, no need to pay attention or take any notes. Got 100s on all tests.

Awesome professor! You learn a lot about yourself and about life. We had one take home test and that was it. Other than that we just write short participation papers and have lots of interesting speakers come in. I liked that I got to know my classmates really well. Easy A for those looking for a GPA boost.

Easiest class ever and you learn a lot about yourself as well as your classmates! Class discussions are the best because everyone gets involved. Sharon is an awesome professor and she makes the classroom a comfortable environment. Highly recommend!!

Unbelievably easy teacher and easy class. I only opened my textbook once and it was for a take home test. There is only one real test, and the rest are papers. Hard to get anything less than an A in this class. Lots of guest speakers, and they're really interesting to listen to. Highly recommend this class.

If you pay attention to lectures and read the chapters, there is absolutely no reason you should walk out of this class with anything but an A. Dr Westphal was a good professor, and made things easy to relate to and understand.

Failed the first test but professor westphal was amazing and helped me raise my grade and was able to get an A- in the class. All you have to do is the read the chapter and this class is an easy A. professor westphal is wonderful.

She is a good person and could be funny at times. Her tests weren't very hard if you payed attention. The only questions I would get wrong were little details out of the book that she would throw in there.

Though the class is easy, the lectures are extremely boring and pointless. If she would get to the point in class her lectures could be about 20 minutes.

Do your daily reading and you are almost guaranteed an A in the class. Participation papers are super easy too. She also is pretty intriguing to watch during her lectures.

Professor Westphal is such a sweet woman. She really cares if YOU show interest in the class. Shes willing to give the benifit of the doubt but she knows who is "pulling her chain". Take this class. So worth it.

I LOVED SHARON. We didn't even have any exams in this class. booyah! She has a hilarious, dry sense of humor and does ramble in class but she's very knowledgeable. You can tell she loves what she does and it carries through in her classes. She brings in SO many interesting speakers. TAKE HER if you can!!

One of the best professors at the U. Take her if you can. She teaches in a way that allows you to appreciate the information taught, instead of dreading the memorization for tests. You will not regret taking her class--trust me!

Sharon is a nice, funny lady who knows her stuff-however she doesn't share alot of that knowledge with her students. I've basically learned nothing, though it is an easy A. She gets off topic extremely easily and can stay there, can make class torturous.
