She is one of the sweetest women you could ever meet. She's SO helpful and interested in being fair to EVERY student (rare for a BCC teacher). Her attendance policy is slightly stupid, but you know what it is on the first day and sticks to it.

An amazin teacher/woman. Got down to business in class, left personal problems at the door, and genuinely cared for every student. She seemed a bit easy, but that's more b/c her students enjoy the class so much. Deserved "Teacher Of The Year"

Very laid back, except about attendance. Teaches very few lessons, really. We spent a huge amount of class time doing our project. I would have rather not made the drive to school and worked on it at home at my own pace. She seems very popular, but I would never want to have her again. Geared toward real novice students.

Insanely perky (not recc. for an 8:00 class) but helpful and knows what she is talking about. Willing to help ALL students with material and placements. Tests are beyond easy and she grades easy on the writing credit.

Dr. Kimmel is the best! I had a problem this semester and Dr. Kimmel totally went out of her way to get me the information that I needed. She is helpful and kind and the class is a breeze.

Do not take any other teacher but Prof. Kimmel. Very knowledgable, class is a breeze, easy A if you do all the assignments.

Guaranteed "A" if you just show up on time and do the work. The work is not hard at all, and half of it is group projects! Attendance is the only way you'll get a "B" or lower! So, be on time and thats it! No book required! EASY FINAL.

Dr.Kimmel is very easy going and reviews for the final,make sure to write a paragraph for your field placement questions, 2 projects for semester, make sure to be on time for class-a minute late and you are tardy.would suggest this professor for other Education majors.

Very good professor. She teaches from powerpoints and shows a couple of movies. Attendance is mandatory and if your 10 seconds late then she counts it as an absent. You don't really need the book but if teaching is your major then it only makes sense to have it. Her tests come from lecture so pay attention and take notes!

I have had Dr. Kimmel for two of my education classes now and I have really enjoyed her class. She teaches in a way that makes you remember what you're learning. She is very STRICT on being late. If you are 1 minute late then you are marked absent. You do not need the book for this class which is great. TAKE HER!

Professor Kimmel is a great teacher. She truly loves what she does, and she wants nothing more than to see her students succeed. a final exam, a buddy project, group project, your field experience and literature articles are the grades in the class. Very easy and interesting class. It does require a lot of writing at the end of the semester for field experience. Make sure you start it as soon as possible and it won't be that bad. There is also a presentaion. As long as you make sure you get the big writing assignment in on time and you have good attendance you should pass with no problem.

I took Dr. Kimmel for all three of the mandatory education classes. She is clear, fair, and passionate about education. She has a lot of office hours and uses them. This is the best teacher at Broward College. Take her if you can. You will learn A LOT. Her classes are easy A's if you do the work. She explanations are thorough.

She is a good teacher who makes class interesting and seems to want you to succeed. She also loves bragging about herself and her achievements which gets super obnoxious. If you go to class and put work into the three big assignments you'll do well. The 15 classroom hours are easy, the group projects are ok depending on your group members.

I just finished taking her for the summer term. She is very fair and passionate about education. Having said that, this class was not a walk in the park. Beware of not only an individual multimedia project but also a group project for the course along with written assignments. It was really intense the day of presentations. Do not be late at all!

Took Dr. Kimmel for all 3 EDU classes in the same semester. As long as you're early/on time and you follow her directions you should be fine. When presenting projects show enthusiasm, make sure you pronounce words correctly, and don't let her see you struggling/fidgeting once you're up there. She's very dedicated so show her the same respect.

She's very nice, sweet and has an amazing background. Her assignments are bizarre, you must follow the syllabus to a tee in order to know what's expected. If you miss class you could very well miss a homework and/or classwork.

I enjoyed taking Kimmel. She is well educated, she knows her stuff, and she definitely knows the right people to help you in your future career as a teacher. However, don't let her sweet exterior fool you. Prepare to be uncomfortable confronting her about an issue or a question. She is only personable during class. Out of class? Forget it.

She has her flaws in time management , sometimes there's not much to discuss and sometimes there's not enough time to complete a lesson. You will be on pins and needles in this class because she will randomly call on you for an oral report. There is a group project and an individual project. You can't be absent no more than 6 times . Fair enough !

Fair amount of work but nothing too difficult if you are a social person. Shes very sweet and understanding and willing to let the students talk and participate.

If you want to be a teacher, this is the professor for you! She is SO kind, and loving. She loves her students as if they are her own children. She does group projects, does have small "tests" which is more like a quiz. And a lot of extra credit for your final! She has over 13 years of college so she really knows her stuff.
