This speech class was ridiculously easy. I suggest taking it during a summer semester. Out of a 3 hour and 45 minute class, she only taught about 30 to 45 minutes. There was only 3 speeches the first one everyone one got 40 of 40 points. There also was only 2 quizes 2 writing assignments and no final exam. Plus she isn't bad on the eyes.

Great professor. She makes the class fun, she is very clear on notes and due dates and fun to listen to. If you're taking a speech class you gotta pick her! Trust me :)

Took this class during the summer semester for 12 weeks, class was a piece of cake. The teacher makes you feel so comfortable during your 3 speeches and is very helpful. I highly recommend taking this teacher for speech its fun and helpful at the same time. Do your speeches, 3 quizzes and class activities you'll be fine.

I never thought I would actually miss a class once I was through with it. I was really nervous to take this class, but I ended up really enjoying it. The class isn't a free ride, but do your work and you will do fine. Two speeches, two critiques, two quizzes and a final paper. Put in a little effort and you should have no problem getting an A.

Professor Ramos is great. You have 4 speeches 2 quizzes that are in groups and open book/open notes 2 critques and a final paper. Book use is minimal but you'll want to use it while she's talking so you can take good notes. Prof Ramos really relates to her students and has an excellent grading scale. Take her you won't regret it. Trust me.

Amazing teacher. You have 4 speeches one of which is a group speech and a couple OPEN NOTE&GROUP quizes. Professor makes sure you feel comfortable and doesn't judge. Attendance is needed but it's a fun class. I was really nervous in taking it to begin with because i don't like public speeking but she made it painless&easy. RECOMMEND TO ANYONE !!

Professor Ramos was an awesome teacher for my summer semester. Not only was her class easy, I learned so much by her teaching stlye. There were two tests all semster and they where open class. You go over the chapters during the class and there were 5-6 easy group activites. I was nervous about the 3 speeches but the atmopshere of the class was open, easy going and I felt little pressure. Take her for speech, she is nice, funny and she is pretty. You will enjoy going to speech.

I have always hated speeches, but Ramos really helps to bring out the best in everyone. I cannot stress enough that this is by far the best and most inspirational teacher I have ever had. She really makes you feel good about yourself once your done with the speech. Also she is MAJOR eye candy, if you know what I mean.

Overall a great professor! Only to short essays ( 1 250-300 word paper then a 1 500-600 word paper!) Super easy and only 3 quizzes which are group quizzes. 3 speeches one about yourself, one informative, and one persuasive. She makes it easy to get up in front of your peer and do a speech. She is every helpful and there for you. And she's funny!

She is so fun and sarcastic and very one on one with the entire class. I would take her again. Her quizzes are open note, her speech assignments are your choice but always a drawing to see who goes what day so its fair and fun.

If her class is full, wait another semester or change your schedule around and make her class fit, she's worth it-trust me!!

I hated public speaking before this class last semester. She's honestly my favorite professor and I recommend her to everyone. She makes you feel comfortable about talking and is actually hilarious. There are a few lengthy papers due but that's expected in a speech class. She lets you take the tests in groups. Don't bother buying a book.

Professor Darling is the very reason I made an account. You WILL have to work; although it is not difficult. The lectures do not even feel like lectures. She will go through her Power Points and then as a class, we discuss the information as a group. I found it very easy to retain information that way. She is also funny and so sweet. Recommend 100%

had 2 speeches. easy. and 2 short responses that counted as a test. EASY. she is really cool awesome person. relates lectures to real life makes them interesting. Please take this lady you will not regret it. i would give her a 10/10 if i could

The best lecturer I have ever had. HIGHLY recommend. She keeps things entertaining and for the 3 hour class, you never stay the whole time. Has so many resources. Her tests (only 2) are easy as long as you pay attention and she makes giving a speech easier. Online, there was only 1 live speech and 2 recorded (she may change it to 2 live)

I LOVED HER. TAKE HER. Amazing teacher and knows what she's talking about. She's so funny, nice and friendly. She truly cares about you and wants to help you succeed. We had 4 speeches total, although 2 were shorter/less complex. One test (final) short answer and easy. No homework. Take her, you won't regret it.

Professor Darling is an absolute sweetheart. The class is very easy. There's 2 essay exams and 3 speeches, and they're all extremely straight forward. She gives you multiple extra credit opportunities and always gives amazing feedback on assignments. You're also allowed three absences per semester. Can't recommend her enough.

I took Prof Darling Spring 2021 as a hybrid course and she was super chill and funny. We only did 3 presentations which she gives a lot of time to prepare for it and she's super helpful and understanding. No essays, just 2-3 short answer questions for exams. Definitely recommend. Easy A.

Professor Darling was awesome. She is so wild and funny at the same time while teaching. I would totally recommend her to anyone who wants and easy grade. One thing for sure is that you will need to present in class with your camera on and whatever. But it isn't bad, its just 5 mins talking about a topic and you are done. Not hard at all

She is a great professor. If you want to pass do your work on time and show up, you should not have a problem with passing if you do everything on time and complete with effort otherwise you will not pass. Attendance does matter as it is a grade as well. She cares about her students and always makes you feel welcomed in class.

Giving speeches is hard. There are easier classes, and a few nicer professors (lol sorry darling) however this professor is amazing at connecting with her students, and helps them over come their fears, better than any other teacher I've ever had. Show up, support each other, and you'll do great.

Prof. Darling is so cool, I love her class! She's so funny and often the class ends up having weird off topic conversations but you will genuinely enjoy this class and make friends easily if you engage in the conversations. Do your speeches and do them well (USE VISUAL AIDS! They're "optional" but make your speech must better). Also come to class.

I love professor Darling! Hands down best professor EVER!!! TAKE HER, I promise you not only will you learn how to deliver a speech but you'll also have a good time in her class. She cares about her student. Her final exams are straightforward. Just pay attention. She will help you become the BOSS you were born to be.

Highly suggest taking this class if you have a challenging semester. She makes lectures go very quickly and interesting. Only three main speeches.

Nice and fun teacher

Shauna is probably the best speech teacher ever. Anyone with anxiety about talking in front of people should take her. She is sassy, funny, and will make you feel comfortable in class to make a great speech and get over that fear of stage fright.

Prof Darling was amazing. She made sure to relate with us and actually teach us how to formate and/or present a speech. She used her own examples or she found videos (that are not boring) to help explain the lessons. I would definitely take her again. She was very funny as well and she made you feel computable and her feedback is really good!

Professor Darling is such a wonderful instructor I was really bad at giving speeches and taking this class with her has helped me a lot she is super understanding, encouraging, and helpful even if you have a hard time with public speaking. I would recommend her to anyone.

Professor Darling is a hilarious person and tries to make the whole class laugh every day. She tries her best to make every one in the class comfortable with each other and includes every single person in the class. If you get offended easily, do not take this teacher. She is all about jokes and having fun. I am now fearless to present a speech.

Professor Darling was one of the best professors I've taken in palm beach state. We only had to do two speeches, one of them was a group speech and one outline. The final exam was really easy because the questions were on our opinions. Take her for speech!!

Super easy, engaging, and fun class. The professor is super funny and fun to learn from and makes giving speeches easy and fun. just a few small speeches and little quiz from the notes she gave and that's it. I was never bored in the class and passed with an easy A. just show up for attendance points and you'll be good and engage with her notes.

Whether it be her hilarious anecdotes or interesting lectures, she really knows how to keep your attention and make you want to come to class. I was terrified of speech but she made me feel safe.

I love Professor Darling! I was in Fundamentals of Speech Communication live online and received a 96%. Her classes are super fun and she is very good at breaking down concepts. She gives lots of resources including her presentations. We had 2 speeches, 2 socratic seminars, one activity, and a final exam to turn in and extra credit opportunities!

Ive had crippling social anxiety for most of my life, so this was honestly the most terrifying course on my schedule. I never would have been able to stay in class if i had a different professor. Professor Darling is sooo funny and adorable, you forget speech is scary and you just have a good time. If speech is scary to u, take her!

This professor is peak and will actually teach you about genuine things that matter in life other than the letters and numbers SPC1017. Can't say i personally have had a teacher similar to this that has not only impacted me in their own specific subject but in life in general.A good point of view coming in to her class is that everyone is different

One of the best teachers I've had thus far. Very nice, easy going, and relatable. Only 2 speeches, one near the beginning and near the end. Your camera does not have to be on. No tests or finals. Just a socratic seminar and a few small assignments in accordance with your speech. Very easy A. If you try and you attend, you're pretty much good.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! This was my favorite class this semester. Professor Darling keeps lectures interesting and cares about helping individuals overcome their fear of public speaking. The speeches are fairly simple, and course work is very simple. You will pass if you do your work.

This professor was amazing! 10/10 would recommend! Answered and replied back super quickly, was very engaged with the class, and overall, it was such a fun class. Professor Darling was exceptional. She gave genuine comments of feedback on my assignments. Her class consisted of a few quizzes and 2 mini video projects. The projects helped me out of my comfort zone. I would recommend this professor for anyone that needs to take Fundamentals of Speech.

Very easy class! Professor is understanding and gets back to you rather quickly. The workload wasn't terrible for a 6-week course, but just make sure to stay on top of everything and you should be fine.

She is very lenient and nice and she is very caring. Her class is very easy and there are only 2 assignments per week that are due if you take her online express class. There are only 2 speeches in the class that you can make the topic anything you want as long as 1 is persuasive and one is informative. She also loves Korn :) A really great Prof.

Professor Darling is, hands down, the best instructor I have had throughout my entire college experience. Her timelines and grading are as fair as they can be, and she may be flexible depending on the circumstances. She truly cares about her students; it's obvious.
