Easy class. Shauna gives you notes that contain all answers to questions on exams including the final.

My only complaint is that at times I felt she was going too slow and teaches at a level that would be more appropriate for junior high. But if you're looking for an easy A just show up for class each day and get your homework done.

She teaches the information, not tell. Always willing to help, great handouts. Hand in Homework, do the assignments & study you will get a good grade, she prepares you for the final.

I took all three accounting classes from Shauna. She takes a hard subject with confusing terminology and breaks it down to make it super easy to understand. After Shauna, my accounting classes at the U are a piece of cake. By all means take all accounting classes from her.

I found accounting to be extremely difficult. Shauna helped pave the way to success in a scary accounting class. I ended with a solid A grade. She explains things step by step in "layman's terms". If you can take her class I highly recommend it. Most definitely the best ACCT professor at SLCC. She keeps it entertaining, I didn't even nod off once.

Hybrid Class so online&on campus. You have to read, duh. It's better to read before class or lectures wont make sense. again, Duh. Know Word/Excel & things go easier as financial statements use both. She provides additional resources that are step-by-step applications of the textbook topics. She sent email reminders and quickly responded to all of my individual emails. She really cared about my learning and encouraged me during the online course. Her syllabus was clear about grades and due dates. I am definitely taking her for more classes!

She is an amazing professor. That being said, be prepared to to work. She has high standards in the way you present your work. She expects you to know how to write professionally. If you are having issues keeping up she goes out of her way to work with you.

However the online assignments were not great, the formatting and sometimes the vaugeness of those assignments made you lose points for no reason.

The assignments as well as what we needed to accomplish was very clear. The class got difficult at some points and a lot of the time she would spend as much time on the easy material as she did on the difficult material. The available ungraded assignments were nice practice. I also liked the way the quizzes and homework were structured.

Shauna is by far my favorite professor at SLCC. She really understands how to lecture all learning styles. Shes amazing and very knowledgable when it comes to accounting. Easy to catch up if you miss any class. Not too much homework but enough to learn!

I've took her 1110 and now 1120 still the same amazing experience, very thoughtful for her students and responsive on where you made your mistake and why. Although a bit late in grading some papers she still gives feedback on the papers. She makes accounting understandable and a bit fun and exploring.

Shauna has made me enjoy a class that I have been dreading since my freshman year of high school. She found a way to keep us engaged and on top of our work, and promoted students to come to class to really grasp the material, but wouldn't dock points if you could not make it that day. I really enjoyed this class, I found it much easier than my financial accounting class. There were tons of videos and extra resources to help you, and as long as you do all of the practice assignments and go through the videos you will do well in her class. This was my first online course and was nervous about being successful, However Shauna reaches out to the course multiple times a week and responds to questions quickly. This course has extra credit available throughout the whole course, with options to retake exams once again for a higher score.

Shauna Hatfield adds pdf's and video examples of the accounting process, which is quite helpful. If you're taking the online course, expect to spend a lot of time on reading and completing study plans. It's the only way to understand the accounting process. She will tell you this, so believe her!

Great Professor. She's good at responding to emails and was willing to help with issues I had on Pearson. The course itself is heavy in terms of workload, but that's how it is with any accounting class. I'd happily take a class from Professor Hatfield again.

The professor gives feedback on your exams but because this is an online course most of it is laid out for you to do at your own pace with the online hub giving you examples and help me solve this assistance for the material.

The professor gave feedback on your exams and what you should focus on looking back at. Since this is an online class the online third party learning site (pearson) gave you ways to practice and a "help me solve this" which would work a similar problem allowing you to see the steps needed to complete the assignments.

I just barely switched my major to Accounting and was incredibly nervous about my first step into this completely different field outside of STEM as an online course. Prof Hatfield blew away my expectations with the combination of supplementary material on top of the textbook and lectures that I felt fairly confident in my time in this new major.

Homework is pretty basic which usually consists of a weekly assignment (about 5-7 questions) and a short quiz (about 5 questions). The handouts she gives in class will be your best friend, so DO make them your notes.

This professor does an excellent job at involving the students in lecture by asking the correct questions. On top of this the homework load is relatively easy and enjoyable to learn. The professor heavily suggests showing up to lectures which I agree with. One of this professor's strong suits is one on one problem solving when it's homework time.

Her teaching style heavily relies on paper handouts; this was not a great tool for me as I like taking notes better. The homework style is disappointing as you only get three tries than the usual infinity. Her class is lecture heavy but her stories lighten it up a bit. Great experience for an accounting class. I didn't know accounting could be so easy. Due to the well organized notes and canvas page along with an appropriate amount of homework assigned it was pretty easy and honestly fun sometimes.

Took Shauna's 1120 2 semesters after 1110 because the class filled up too fast. Even with ~16 week gap, I didn't feel too behind going into a much harder, and shorter summer semester. Be prepared though, exams come fast and frequent, same with manual assignments, but with exam retakes, extra credit, and a late policy, an A is practically guaranteed

She explained things clearly and always went through each problem first before giving us similar homework. That really helped me understand the material better. Her teaching style was straightforward and easy to follow.

Shauna explains the coursework well. If you attend and participate in class, you will have everything you need to succeed. She makes herself available outside of class if you need additional help. She really does everything she can to make you succeed.

Professor Hatfield was very knowledgeable, good about reminding us to do assignments/coursework, and generous with retakes and late penalties. Her Canvas course was very well set up and organized, making it easy to jump from chapter to chapter. I learned a lot, and as long as you do all the homework, it should be pretty straightforward!

Ms. Hatfield was an incredible teacher! Anytime I had questions she responded promptly and was always very helpful. She was professional, kind, and you can tell she cares about your success! I would highly recommend taking her class if you have the opportunity!

I took this class hybrid. Its not an easy topic but Shauna wants you to succeed. Lots of extra credit, flexible due dates. The retake policy for tests is helpful. several assignments are doing books for companies- not unreasonable, not easy either. If you stay on top of it, take notes, have a good sheet for the final exam, you should be fine.

Professor Hatfield is great. She is very engaging in your learning and motivates to do well.

This is the second class I've taken from Shauna, and she is great. If you can, take her in-person classes. The online class was significantly harder than the in-person one. It's textbook-heavy with a lot of assignments. But she allows almost every assignment apart from the term projects to be turned in late up until the end of the semester.

Professor Hatfield comes prepared for every chapter. Be ready to read, practice, and use the modules provided in Canvas. She's very helpful if you don't understand the material or if you're dealing with personal conflicts—just keep an open line of communication with her. I would definitely take another semester with her.

Love her!! She reaches out and cares about your life and all you are doing if you just talk to her. She is a great teacher, loves class participation for her teaching style. Walks you through how to do it, so quizzes and homework were fairly simple to get through. Exams are very important, but you get many chances to do well.

Shauna is the best! Before taking this accounting class I didn't really liked accounting at all and was worried since it is my first time taking an accounting class in person but she made this experience amazing, the content is challenging but if you follow the handouts and try to solve the problems it gets a little easier. Would 100% recommend!

The professor was very on point with her teaching. She explained the material clearly and, making it easier to understand, even in an online setting. She was also helpful and considerate, always providing guidance when needed. Her communication was steady and supportive, which made the course feel more manageable.

I wasn't able to attend many lectures but the ones I did were very helpful in learning the material! If you can, try to participate as much as you can. You can tell that she cares about the students, she would often reach out to see if everything was alright.

The class was great and very easy to follow. I liked how the material was organized and clear. The only thing to note is that everything was online except for the exam, but overall it was a smooth and positive experience.

I really like her & I am actually taking two more of her classes next semester because I like her so much! This was an in person class, so I am nervous about the next class that I take from her that is online only as the in class discussions are VITAL for success. I just wish that the tests weren't timed as I have test taking anxiety & struggle.

Hatfield is a great professor. She provides detailed handouts to guide you through the material. You are expected to read the textbook in addition. She does everything possible to help you succeed. Highly recommend.

The format of this class (ACCT2050) is more challenging than other online classes. I wasn't a fan of MyBusinessCourse, but Shauna was there to provide additional explanations whenever necessary. The format seemed regimented and outside her creative control. It's too bad, because when she has more freedom, her classes are amazing.

Easy class. She does such a good job of laying out the assignments to actually help teach instead of just overload you with nonsense work. I highly recommend this professor for online classes. Best class I've taken so far.

She's super friendly and outgoing. I loved the handouts; they were easy to follow and a great guide.

She was an amazing professor, was very clear out subjects & was eager to help anyone who needed it. She also gives you a ton of text/quiz answers as long as you come to class. Her class is very efficiently ran & loved having her as a professor.

My only struggle was not feeling engaged during the lecture because she provided notes with a lot of the core information already on there so I did not feel engaged with the material and like I learned as much as I needed to while I was in class. I had to figure it out on my own at home when I did homework.

Shauna is a fantastic professor. The overall structure of the class is homework, quizzes, and exams. One thing incredible she does is her worksheets she made. They come with all important information from the unit. There is no late penalty. There is also a couple way of getting extra credit which can be very helpful.Great professor and environment.

Classwork consisted of an assignment and quiz per chapter. There are 4 tests which each cover a couple of chapters. Shauna is very good at teaching concepts. Being able to fully understand them will depend on how much practice you do with them. The notes she had us take were very helpful throughout the whole semester.

I loved teacher Shauna, and I love the entire course in general, but what I enjoyed most was that the teacher made the course very interactive. She encouraged student participation and always used real-life examples. As with other all other curses, if you study and do your homework, you'll surely do well in this class.
