She explains everything to the bone! She is young, but has the great ability and skills to teach. Gives a lot of material for practicing, but only if you want, it's not mandatory!Tests are fair enough. There is no any big or small project, yes! Great usage of class time.

This teacher encourages class participation and makes every class fun and interesting. The material is easy to understand as long as you don't fall behind, especially near the end of the course. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Excellent Teacher. Made the Microeconomics pleasant to learn. Shauna provided extra material, additional office hours to make sure you understand and do well in the course. Reading text prior class, doing homework and studying from the textbook helps to achieve excellent mark. Final exam covers whole course.

really she is the best prof. i took micro and macro at the same time and got an A in the both, could've got A+ had I not been so overconfident before the finals. the key is to pay attention to everything she says and practice every concept and you will get at least an A- even if you are not so smart.

Fun prof to listen to. She's animated for sure and shares an enthusiasm with the class. Exams are considerably tough, but fair. Be well prepped for exams. Well structured course.

Excellent prof. She is clear, concise, helpful, and has a great sense of humor. Textbook use is minimal. Midterms and finals are fair and there are no surprises. No essay type questions. When I asked why, Shauna replied "I wouldn't do that to myself." All in all, she is an amazing prof. If you can get a class with her then do it.

Hands down the best prof at Kwantlen. Crystal clear notes and uses class time effectively. Don't buy the textbook but DO buy the study guide if you want extra help. Study off her notes, m/c questions she posts online, her previous midterm she posts as well, and the study guide and you will ACE the course for sure. Awesome prof!

Very easy going prof. There is a quite bit of workload involved but nothing too difficult. Her short answer questions on the midterms/final are tricky. No reason to purchase the textbook (she provides notes). Overall excellent prof for this class.

The back-row kids even score As and Bs. The professor throws sample tests on the school's website which contain exam answers. Easiest GPA booster around. No textbook needed, so don't waste your money. Just go to class, look at the website before each exam, and you've got an A+.

Shauna's a great prof & super nice & really tries to make class fun. You need to go to class as she does "fill in the blanks" notes on the overhead projector (you need to print out notes & bring them to class). You get tested on what's in her notes, homework is done through MyEconLab, textbook NOT required, 2 midterms + final. Highly recommend!

I have never ever seen her in a bad mood, she is very cheerful and a great professor. She gives time in class to go over questions for assignments and interacts with students in a very friendly manner. Best!

This is for Econ 2260. Shauna is one of the best professors at kpu. I was not doing so well in the class, but then I went to see Shauna in her office hours and she gave me tips and effective ways to study. I did exactly that and my marks bumped up. She is super nice and cares about her students' success. Definitely recommended!

The only reason why I didn't do well in this class is bc I'm a dumb english major who took econ for credit because I thought it was easy. If you're bad at math, it's NOT easy!! But Shauna helped me through problems when I needed it, and overall is a really solid professor. Honestly just do the homework/practice and you're good.

Shauna is an excellent professor and teaches in a very informative way. Her classes are enjoyable as she is very easygoing. She also provides a lot of help outside of class during office hours. I recommend buying just the code for MyEconLab because the textbook was never used by many students.

We didn't really need the textbook, but if you need extra help you should read it. She gives lots of practice work that you can do to make yourself better and her lectures are fun and easy to follow. She's a great professor and I would definitely take her again.

I have struggled with numbers my whole life - almost failed micro and stats - took Shauna for macro and i stg it was my easiest class. She is super funny, she explains things super well, and (can't believe i'm saying this) she actually makes economics interesting as a subject! The best professor for ECON 1250. She has a unique teaching style. Her class notes, assignments and practice tests are very helpful. If you study these three, You can get an easy A. Also there are 8 online quiz, out of which she takes the best 6. Overall, She is caring and makes economics fun to learn. You won't regret taking her.

She is a best Professor i have ever seen in KPU. She have a very clear Course Criteria. Take her if you really want to improve your GPA. But, you have to study because Economics is not that much easy so do whatever she gives you and complete everything on time. There are 2 Midterms, Final, weekly quizzes, MyLab Assignments, Participation.

Shauna's online Macro class was weighted 50% assignments/quizzes/term assignments and 50% exams. She really gives you the chance to pass a very tough class, make sure you do good on the assignments and quizzes & passing is possible. She gives instant feedback within the day and is very willing to help if need be. Highly recommend.

Easiest it gets for Econ, if you get the chance to take her don't fumble it. Weekly lectures (2 hours if you pause to take notes), a weekly quiz (best 10 of 12 make up 60%) Myeconlab assignments (every other week, make up 10%), a final assignment marked for completion (5%) and the final exam (25%). Again, she's by far the best option for micro.

I took her async class, her videos were fun and short so that they're not as heavy to the eye as other lectures that are 3 hr long, she's super sweet and makes everything very comprehensible, her quizzes are hard! so practice practice practice but other than that, she's great.

This is my third time taking this class. I really struggle with economics and when I took Shauna's class she explained everything so clearly in a way that no other economics teacher has. She turned a really difficult subject and made it really digestible and easy to understand. You can tell she is passionate about what she does.

I have attempted to take this course twice previously and dropped the class as I could not wrap my head around the content. In the course intro video, Shauna says she hopes that everyone likes ECON after taking her course, which I shrugged off. She is doing it though, somehow she's making the course seem so easy and...dare I say fun?

Everything was available online so you can work a lot from home. Quizzes can be difficult but she posts practice quizzes which are similar and useful. Great prof

Shauna is a great prof. She is kind and caring. This course was difficult for me but I think I did pretty good. Quiz each week, which you get more than enough time to do, one final exam and one final assignment. I wish Shauna was more engaging as you only have recorded lectures to watch but still she is the best prof for economics. Hard course tho.

A must-take prof for Economics of any level. extremely funny and teaches the course well in an easy to understand way. Be prepared to have money to print paper notes or have a device ready. Performs frequent in class examples. Beware of weekly quizzes but study and you'll be fine
