It had been almost 20 years since I had last taken math. My grades were the top of the class the whole semester. Mr. Jackson made it very easy to understand the advanced algebra he presented.

I took three different Math classes with him and he was really good. He is interested in the subject and wants the student to learn. You need to do the work and you should be able to get a good grade. He is young and somewhat hot.

I find Mr. Jackson to be friendly and open to questions. My only complaint would have to be the homework, it's online, and the site seems to have a lot of issues.

He was clear but had a lot of issues with grades and I never knew where I was at in the class. I missed a B by like less than half a point and he did not want to give me any extra credit.

WOW! Mr. Jackson is Dreamy. He is an amazing teacher and has a smile that would melt you. He is always around for extra help. He expects you to work hard and learn! But hey, isn't that his job??? I've never met a math teacher who would bust out German $ and explain how Guasse was important for discovering how to add all numbers between 1-100.

Mr. Jackson is very helpful, easy to understand, he has a goofy sence of humor, overall i really enjoy the class and if i need any other math classes i will be checking to see if he is teaching them. I read some of the other comments on here and although everyone has the right to their own opinion some are down right rude, and one should make sure

continue.....their hands are clean before pointing the finger at anyone else.

I have Mr. Jackson for STATS. I am horrible in math, how I got into Stats is beyond me. Mr Jackson is very clear and you can tell he loves math and his students. I read comments on here that made me mad. Students need to step up to the plate and do their part. If you think college is supposed to be easy, u r an idiot. Go mr. J!

Mr Jackson is great. We caught him singing in class and he has a fun personality. Not to mention he is super cute and always smiling. He has perfect teeth and some sweet clothes. I think he is a fun teacher and if you do your work and try, he's actually way nice. He takes college serious and is an excellent professor.

Based on some of the reviews here I was expecting a horrible experience but surprisingly, this class was great. Mr Jackson is actually very reasonable and understanding. Granted, I had Math 10A with him, which is far easier than stats, but stats will be hard with anyone. Just know that Mr J is a good teacher, helpful, and really likes what he does.

Took Mr. Jackson for math 101. Great instructor! He had some great short cuts that I'd never learned before! He was very clear and worked out everything step by step. I would recommend him for anyone having difficulty in Math! Uses course compass for homework and exams.

Mr. Jackson is a Great, fun professor who is nice. His work is pretty easy as it pertains to the chapters and he moves at a good pace. One great plus about him is he let's you use note cards for tests.

Great teacher overall! very easy to understand and takes his time teaching as well. I enjoyed his class and passed it with an A. The work is easy in the beginning but becomes a bit hard as it continues. What helps you is the note card he lets you use for the tests.

He's your typical math teacher! (that's a good thing) he gets excited over math jokes, he makes statistics easy to learn (as long as you're paying attention of course), and he's always there to help when needed! I'm surprised he didn't have a chili pepper before! An attractive person likes math? He deserves a red chili pepper.

Amazing teacher. He is not the easy A type! If you are willing to work hard you will succeed! He's very helpful. Very dedicated and will do almost anything to help you understand the subject. Great teacher.

This class is tough at the beginning but if you ask questions about the stuff you don't understand he will take the time to explain it so you do. I had a great time in this class, something I have NEVER said of a math class.!

Math was always my worst subject in high school so I was definitely nervous to take stats, but when I took it with Jackson I excelled. He is a phenomenal teacher! Not an easy A class, but if you pay full attention in class, take advantage of the practice tests and the index cards you can use for the tests, you will do just fine!

Mr. Jackson made this class easier to take. Math is my worse subject and I originally went to West Hills Coalinga but the teachers were horrible. So I decided to go to Lemoore. Teachers are way better! Jackson did a good job at explaining everything well. Made everything do-able. You did have to pay attention in class.

I took calculus with another teacher and it was horrible. So I was a bit nervous about Jackson but to my surprise I enjoyed the class. He is approachable and is always willing to help. Lecture can be a bit confusing sometimes so use your book and go to his office hours. The class is passable as long as you study and use the study guides he gives.

If you have to take calc take Jackson. The class is doable just study hard and go to his office hours. He is willing to help and answer any questions you have. The tests are 10-14 questions long and he gives a study guide for each test. There are roughly 4-6 tests & 1-4 quizzes This class is going to require a lot of time but he is a good teacher.

took me 3 tries to get out of stats with Mr. Jackson but he hung in there with me. tests are in clusters of 3 chapters no extra credit and literal grades by the book what you earn is what you get. he's not hard stats is hard! come to class and take notes and ask him if you need clarification.

He is SO nice and willing to help with any questions you may have. If you don't understand something he is willing to sit with you and go over it until you understand. He is really funny and makes class enjoyable. Take his class if you have the chance.

Mr. Jackson is a really nice guy that is willing to help students. He is also lenient. Stats is such a challenging subject within itself, he does his best to teach it in a way that is understandable for students. I took this class a few semesters ago so my review will be incomplete, but I do remember that the criteria was very clear on what I needed to get an A. He did offer tutoring sessions during his admin hours and I definitely needed them; I found some of the material hard, practice hw/practice problems/guides and utilize tutoring to get an A.

Funny guy, he is lecture heavy and is willing to help out if asked. Study well and you will pass this class.

I've had a few math instructors at West Hills, Mr. Jackson is by far the best. He knows his stuff and promotes correcting him, asking questions, and just genuinely learning the subject. No MyMathLab BS, saves a ton of money. Posts all his in-class notes. Not that hard of a course and I suck at math, just study a little and remember specific rules.

Sure, there were issues with disorganization, lecture pacing, and appearing stretched too thin at times.... However, Jackson is a considerate and charming professor who provides many resources(handcrafted notes/homework, Office hours, SI sessions) for student success. Show you care about your education and he will try his best to help you 3000.

I came in with the expectation that this is a 5 unit 'intensive' prep course for calculus. Yeah, people dropped early on and even long after the census date, but Jackson did fine as a college instructor. He was always willing to help me during his Monday office hours too Like he said at the beginning: success requires 3 things "work, work, & work"

I'm not a good math student and going into this class I thought I was going to fail or drop early. But nah, Jackson can be a little fast paced but he kind of dumbs it down and explains things step by step. Stats is a lot of steps so you just have to not skip steps to a problem. He is really helpful and makes it possible for you to past the test!

I recommend taking Jackson for Stats. Class relies on lecture so be there. He puts all class notes online (no mymath or textbook). Although homework can be hectic, he goes over a few ?s & usually extends due dates. Does study guides and allows a notecard for test. At the end, drops 1 test & 2 homeworks & last week of homework is extra credit. ����

He made Stats easy , really engaged with his students , notes were helpful and he has youtube videos that helped me pass my exams. Especially nowadays everything is virtual. Overall , great professor !

Watch the videos and write down lecture problems! This helps when doing homework and exams. Do all your assignments because at the end of the course he gives extra credit for each assignment completed. Responds quickly to emails and offers tutoring. Not a fan of math, but got an A by doing all the above. He makes Statistics so easy to understand.

Professor Jackson made understanding the material easier. He takes the time to explain every step. He also makes sure students have all the support available to them to be successful. He really makes stats seem not so daunting. He has youtube videos for every homework problem and gives you enough time to complete your homework. As a full time mom and a wife taking this class made me anxious, but after taking his class he made me feel 100% confident with passing. He is by far the most amazing teacher i have. As someone who hates and sucks at math, this class was fairly easy. The lecture videos were amazing and completely relevant. Multiple attempts on quizzes, and 2 attempts on the midterm and final. Also, the practice test is very helpful just print those out and take the test, and you are golden!

If you struggle in math like me. Mr Jackson makes learning statistics so easy & effortlessly. He is an amazing instructor whom is always willing to clarify any misunderstandings or confusing problems. He offers YouTube videos that explain the math problems, he answers emails on a timely manner, also give out extra credit points.Take notes as well

Took him online for the summer and was one of the easiest math classes I have ever taken. For it to be online it was easy & simple. He explains his work very well, provided videos & will not hesitate to help. Passed his class with an easy A, & would take him again if needed. Definitely recommend taking him.

If you have to take stats, I would 1000% percent recommend Professor Jackson. If you struggle with math or think the class with be hard, take it in person not online. I passed with flying colors, I have my boyfriend taking him right now for the same class. He also thinks that he's helpful and make sure everyone understands.

The best part about taking this class was the amount of support he gave! I've been out of college for 10 years and managed an A. There's plenty assignments so you don't need to be perfect to do well. Just try hard and log on to the tutoring zooms.

Amazing Teacher!!!!! Mr. Jackson always has a youtube playlist for each section of the homework, he replies to emails quickly, offers extra credit, and always offers extra help. If you are terrible at math please take him because he is amazing at explaining what is going on. I passed with an A which was surprising but he made stats extremely easy.

Took this class in the summer, it was my first online class. The course was well planned out, there were videos for every question for the homework and a relative easy final. Really easy class for being online, as long you do your homework on time you should have no issues with the material. The professor is always willing to help when you need it.

Jackson is a great instructor who helped us understand and explains every math problem. There is also an SI in the classroom for students who need extra help. He gives students the option to attend his class through Zoom. Hilarious and entertaining and you won't have a boring day in class. Take his class if you struggle with math.

Great teacher. He provides his own calculator that will literally help you succeed in his class. Do all the assignments and get at least 80% or higher on them including the midterm and final and you won't have to worry about anything. Attendance is either via zoom or in person.

i hate math, i was never good at it. i thought i wouldn't understand anything of stats when i took mr jackson class, he made stats fun! his lectures have helped me alot and he would host online sessions for questions which was really helpful. he is such a kind professor who cares about his students. i would definitely take his class again.

I enjoyed this class. I am personally not the best student when it comes to math but his lectures and assignments were clear and easy to follow. Great teacher, has a lot of resources for you to use and wants to make sure everyone passes. Homework is not hard and has very little questions. Final was only 5 questions and you could attempt 2 times, really just wants the best for his students.
