One thing you can count on is he is super into teaching analytics and sharing all his analytics knowledge. Awesome professor. He's an experienced analytics teacher from UMD. We were his first class at AU, so he had to re-curate a lot of the resources and planning. Once he settles in, it will seem a lot more organized. Recommended.

He does lecture videos on YouTube before class and short review lectures and activities in class. Dude knows his stuff and class moves super fast, so be ready with your notes. You need them for the exams. Took the time to learn my name and is always asking for feedback to adjust the class. Respect.

The only real drawback to this professor is that he does have half the things in the class due at 5:30 pm and the other half due at 11:59.

He's a good professor but when it comes to assignments prepare to have detailed feedback. I'd say he gives a lot of constructive criticism in this feedback. There's a group project but if you have any conflicts in the group he may help or may not depends on the issue. The rubric is not enough, aim to do better than the rubric he can get nit-picky.

To start this class, Prof, Janzen stated that as long as we put in effort, he will make sure that we succeed in this class. I deeply respect him as he put a high level of effort into our learning, which made me want to work harder and fully engage. Shout out to TAs Valentina and Viraj!
