Always willing to help you out if you show up to class.. doesnt just grade on tests like most other math profs do...he grades on homework, tests and projects...

this is a guy with his stuff together.i told him why i didn't want to do the homework(unnecessary) and he graded me on the tests, it wasn't a specific agreement, but he let it be known that i would get a grade based on competency and not doing busy work

I think shawn is hot. he goes through the math very well. he walks through the problems for you. always opens up for questions. does some quizzes online. gives you practice exams. Take him forsure!!!!!!!!!

One of the best teachers I have ever taken. He is very helpful and nice. Not bad looking either. He wants to help out his students and gives fair grades. The best part is the grade isn't just based on tests!!

Great professor. I didn't find him overly attractive, but I'm a guy. Great teacher that's always willing to help so that you actually understand the material before you're tested on it. Highly recommend him over any other math professor.

The class is very easy and he makes the material very sin=mple to understand. Very helpful and and approachable. Never rude. Likes to use jokes to lighten up class lectures. Very fun teacher and not too hard on the eyes!

I know that this gets old but he is HOT and a great PROF!!

Math is one of my least favorite subjects but the way he teached it, made it easier on me. For instance, I've never gotten an A on a math test ever since elementry! LOL. Plus he looks hot like Angelina Joline's brother!

I did not pass math 293 till i took it with shawn. He explains things better than any other professor.

Wow, he is hot. I know your sick of hearing it, but it's true. His jokes are lame, but it makes the class more amusing. VERY good at dumbing things down to our level, very helpful outside class. Does tons of examples to help you out too. TAKE HIM

He's a great guy, and great professor who loves what he does. He is very easy to understand and gives you practice exams. I still don't understand why he smokes but rides his bike everyday!

I didn't understand anything Triplett taught me in Math 193 but my seccond taking that class I had a worse teacher. I kept all the notes from Triplett's class and by going through them I was able to see how to do the math problems so Triplett may seem hard but trust me he is a good math teacher.

Yes,he is hot for a 40 year old. He is also a really good teacher. Very helpful and understandable. We hardly use the $100 book, but there is hardly ever homework. The tests are fairly easy if you study and pay attention. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED LADIES!! :P

GREAT PROFESSOR!! I am horrible at math and he made it understandable. Never had to get extra help. Going to class is optional, but he explains everything in class! don't really use book, tests are easy, not a lot of homework! Plus, gotta love a teacher who is funny!

Professor Triplett is an awesome guy. One of the nicest profs that I have ever had. Go to class and take good notes. He gives practice exams that are basically the same as the real exams just different values.

Triplett is a great professor. He is always willing to help and keeps class fairly laidback (well as laid back as a math class can get). He makes dumb jokes, but at least he can admit they're dumb.

He is a great professor who may sometimes forget that students don't know as much as he does when it comes to math. But if you take the class a second time with another teacher then look back on class with Professor Triplett you realize that he really was a good teacher and very helpful too.

The other comments pretty much sum it up. However, He seemed to screw up on the study guides and solutions to homework a bunch. Not cool for a Professor. He is a nice guy though that will help you if you take the time to come to him.

Way cool teacher... willing to help anytime. Also a good looking man, Ladies you may get sidetracked! Definatly a recomended teacher though.

GREAT PROFESSOR, Math has always been hard for me and he made it VERY understandable.Gives Practice Exams before every test and there isnt too much homework(use them to study as well) Most of the problems on the tests come directly from the HW,Practice exams or examples in class. you get out early almost EVERYDAY!Oh yea he is HOT for 39!and funny!

Triplett is the best math teacher I've ever had. It's not an EASY class, but if you go to every lecture you will do fine. He explains things awesome and is a pretty funny guy. He likes to mix in humor with every lecture...keeps it interesting! Take it with this guy!!!

Really nice, friendly, super hot. BUT, this class is HARD. He does a good job explaining the material, but his tests are SO hard. I went to class EVERY SINGLE DAY, and went to his office a few times, and I STILL failed.

The class was kind of hard, but it was easier than I expected. The tests were hard, I got 2 C's and a F. I got 68/150 on the final and still got a C- in the class .. don't know how that happened!! triplett is a good prof though, probably the best math prof at SCSU

He's an awesome teacher. He really gets into it and explains things well. He isn't bad to look at either. I got an "A". If you do ur work and study for tests, you're fine.

This class was super easy! Just go to class, TAKE NOTES and you will do fine! I got a C on my first test, a B on my seond and an A on my 3rd and then 147/150 on the final and he gave me an A in the class! Hes an awesome prof... if he sees youve inproved he will give you a better grade!!

His class was awesome. It was also fun to see him off campus, he would always say hi and stop to chat.

I failed this class with Walk, but taking it with Triplett got me an A-. He is an amazing teacher, plus he's got a great ass!

I struggled when I took Walk's class but I got an A in his class. Thank you Shawn. You're the best Math instructor.

I feel like he simplifies math a lot to make it easier to understand. He grades homework which I think made me keep up so I remembered how to do the problems when test time came. I liked his humor so class wasn't as boring, plus the considering he's a hottie didn't make it too difficult to go to class!

Math is not my strong point, but with this professor I did well. If you are willing to do the assigned homework and ask for help when you need it you will do fine. The professor was always very nice and willing to help with any questions. I would highly recommend this class for anyone who is not good at Math.

he is an excellent teacher. i hate math, but he made the class enjoyable, in part because of his good looks. he is funny and unlike other teachers, does not repeat word for word what the textbook says. he actually cares about teaching instead of the glory of teaching, which in my opinion is the theme of SCSU teachers.

This professor has an excellent teaching style. He could teach a second grader how to learn this stuff. Math is hard, take it with this professor and you will actually learn what you need to know as well as recieve the grade you deserve.

OMG, he is gorgeous for an older guy!!! His TAs sucked for grading and destroyed my grade on homework. He is not very approachable and will give you attitude if you say something that he doesn't want to hear. Math is boring, but he is definetly good to look at in his tight jeans! Mmmmm!

HE does not rag on anyone..he is a good teacher,hard to tell what is going to be on the test tho. Go to his office if you need help cause sometimes he explains differently which you will probably catch onto, plus he will pay attention to who comes to his office. i dont usually go to any teachers office cause feels like a waste of time, not his tho.

This is a challenging class.. I failed it last semester(idiot move, i missed the final), but his examples in class are so well spread from hard to east that I'm able to get through my homework by looking at the notes. There's motivation to do homework bc of his regular quizzes which is helping me get an A so far.

This is my 2nd time taking this class and the prof is much better than my previous prof. Math is hard for me but he does a good job and you can tell he wants us to learn. He is kinda cute for an older guy.

AMAZING prof. I really enjoyed his class. I hate math class but he made the lectures interesting and enjoyable to attend. You have to take this class to graduate...so why not take it with a friendly, helpful, and even HOTT prof. go for prof triplett. he knows what hes doing.

Good prof. definetly recommend taking 112 with him, he is easygoing and makes things easy to understand, quizzes every class but they are on homework problems and are helpful in learning the material. Tests are not easy, definetly need to study for them but take the class with him if you are going to take it at all!

I got just one word for this guy "COOL." A very clued-up teacher with a good attitude. Props to Shawn. Tests are really easy. Don't miss the homeworks though. He can explain a problem like the snap of your fingers, in 10 different ways. And then, you don't actually have a problem anymore. TAKE HIS CLASS. It's all worth the time and money ! TAKE IT.

His lectures are easy but exam are tough. But anyways if u do your homework and be regular to class then you will make it. B is quite in reach or may be A if u try hard from the beginning. That is great for a Math class.

He is an awesome teacher. He likes to make the class interested in math. He makes his lectures fun. He explains things really well, and if you go to him, he'll help you. I loved having him as a math teacher!

pretty good prof. knew the material inside and out. homework and quizzes every week but not hard. the tests seemed to mostly cover the material covered in class in the last two weeks leading up to the test, were pretty fair tho. i would easily take him again.

He is an alright prof. He knows his stuff, and gets it across. He also explains where concepts come from, instead of just feeding you the problem then doing it. Getting a B is achievable, but average grade was a C. One to two quizzes a week, and mathxl homework a couple times a week. Overall I would take him again, probably one of the better ones.

I love this class. He has a strange sense of humor, but it keeps me smiling. He really knows the material and teaches it extremely well. I would definately take him again.

I loved taking math with Triplett! He made me love math. He has an amazing way of explaining math, to make you understand it fully. Homework is optional, but if you want to get a good grade you should do at least some of it. The entire class is pretty much show up if you want to hear an awesome lecture, do some homework, and take exams. Super.
