I just finished Maymester with Prof. Ali. She is knowledgeable and helpful, but if you are looking for an easy A go somewhere else. You need your books.

I took Prof. Ali's online class this Maymester. We had a lot of work to finish in a short period of time but if you're organized and go ahead of schedule is perfectly doable. Always available by e-mail, ready to provide help if needed. Texts are necessary. Recommended.

This class is super easy! She sends out emails reminding you of when things are due and she responds to emails fairly quickly. The hardest part was not forgetting when things were due. It seems like a lot, but it's very do-able and you can get ahead if you like. Very good class, and it was online. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Ali call is extremely easy. 10 DBQ'S, Quizzes, and Journals. Three essays and 2 timed writings. Very easy A. Highly recommended class. The only way you can fail this class is by not buying the book or not meeting the deadlines. Sends out allot of emails to remind students when work is due. Other than that Very easy A.

Rxcellent professor and very helpful if you have any problems with this online class. You are able to do all the work early if you choose and she posts the class assignments before the class actually opens which is gret when you have only 4 weeks to complete all the assignments. Highly recommend taking her all your English classes!

i took her for 1301 online flex term,it was a lot of assignments to go through each week,along with 1 or 2 essays do a week.i didn't did 2 of them but i still (barely) passed.i'd recommend her.

Took her for Am. Lit. online for an 8-week flex term. It was a pretty good class, easy if you read the assignments and know how to write a paper. Only complaint was I felt it was 50% American Lit and 50% Indian-American Lit. The teacher has an agenda, but it wasn't bad. I still enjoyed most of the readings.

Took ENG 1302 flex term online. Very organized, expectations are crystal clear, and all work is posted to where you can complete ahead of time. Great instructor you will not be disappointed. It is an English course so be prepared to write!

Previous comment is all WRONG. Dr. Ali is a great professor. When you enter a 3 to 4 wk winter class online how much do you expect? For such a short class it was great. We knew exactly what was expected before class even begin. She thought from a students point of view. She allowed us to begin a bit early due to class being so short. I RECOMMEND!!!

Took during Wintermester, Professor Ali is extremely helpful and replied to emails very quickly. Professor Ali is awesome! Her class is so easy! There is several essays and assignments that have to be completed but they are not hard to do! You will need some pages in the book but she tells you which pages so you can just scan the book in the library! So if you want an A make sure to keep up the deadlines! Take her!

Dr. Ali is the best professor one could get for the English 1302 course I took online. If you are disciplined and punctual you can easily make good grades. Extremely happy with her.

She is very direct on what she wants and I took her online so all the work was uploaded ahead of time. I was able to stay ahead and if I had questions she was able to get back to me. Love her teaching style.

She gives easy assignments and uploads everything at the beginning of the semester. Do the readings, do the discussion boards, write a decent and well thought out essay. Quizzes were a piece of cake. It would be really hard to fail this class.

Dr. Ali's Online Eng 1302(Wintermester) course was very well structured. It was a bit challenging 2 manage 2 complete all the required assignments but they werent difficult. As long as you give it some type of effort u will receive at least 80-90% of points attainable. Material was interesting, I suggest you take her!!!!

I took her Flex Spring ENGL 2 class online. As long as you do the work it's a easy A. She posts everything extremely early so that there is plenty of time to do it. But be ready for a 7-10 page research paper at the end. She'll respond to any questions that are asked! I was glad I went this route with ENGL 2.

Took during Summer I & passed with an A. Prof Ali is an easy grader, but grades slow. There are many assignments due in a short period of time, which can be stressful. There are 10 Quizzes, 10 Journal writings, 10 DBs, 2 Timed Writings, 2 Essays, 7-10 pages Research Paper. You also have to turn in Rough Draft & Bibliography for the Research Paper.

Professor Ali, is great even tough she doesn't take late work the assignments are posted since day one. As well she always reminds you when assignments are coming up and as well their due dates. I would take her class again.

Dr. Ali is the best Professor at Dallas County College District she really cares about the students in all of her classes not mattering which English course you take with Dr. Ali. I have taken alot of English courses with Dr. Ali and I would like every student in school to have the pleasure of taken her. The best I promise you.

I took a flex term 7 week course and passed with a B. 10 quizzes, 10 discussions, and 10 journals, 2 essays, 2 timed writings, and 1 research paper. Journals do reflect from reading but besides that barely used book. No late assignments are accepted but as long as you stick to the schedule you will pass. Teacher also sends reminders of due dates.

Took her 1301 online for 8 weeks. The instructions are easy to follow. Do all your work and your A is guaranteed. She is just so nice. I wish there were more professors like professor Ali. I would take again.

Really liked this professor, I just took this class in May summer class and it was a little bit fast paced but it goes by so quick. As long as you keep up with due dates and do the work you will pass. This class consists of essays but its easy trust me not bad at all take her you will pass. She is awesome!

I took online technical writing 1 with Dr. Shazia Ali. Awesome teacher, grade are updated almost the next day. There was Quiz, Discussions and Projects. Very easy class. If you want an A take this class with her.

This class was about three weeks long it consisted of 10 discussion boards, 10 quizzes, and 8 projects which they were all not really difficult. Make sure to not fall behind. Dr. Shazia Ali is one of the best professors I have ever had! She's truly a wonderful person and an amazing English teacher. I took her 1302 course over the Winter-mester. Through it was a very short course, her material and assignments have taught me many new, helpful writing skills and techniques. I wish I had the chance to see her in person.

Dr. Ali is one of the best English professors living! First, I took her 1301 class and after realizing how great she was, I jumped on board quickly for her next 1302 class. No regrets. She is faster with responses, her deadlines are clear, and her grading is good. Provided you do all the assignments and turn them in on time, it is an easy A.

I just took Dr. Ali's ENGL 2328 online course (American Literature II) and I would recommend this class to everyone. It can be used as a core course after ENGL 1301 and ENGL 1302. You do have to purchase the textbook, but to be honest as long as you do the homework you should be OK. She responded to all my emails the same day and she grades fast!

One of my favorite professors! I took the learning community class that was combined with history 1301 and I loved it. Everything is very easy to understand and she gives you great feedback on your papers and topics. During class discussions she brings another view of things to the table and helps you think outside of the box.

Dr. Ali is the best! I took Eng 1302 for Maymester 2017 & although the class was very fast paced, I made an A. Grades quickly. All assignments are very clear. Class well organized. She even opened the course 2 weeks early so there was no reason to fall behind. I'm defiantly taking her for Eng 2311 and any other English courses I need.

Dr. Ali's class was simple. Short and easy quizzes that come from a few pages of the book, simple discussion posts, and 8 bigger projects. Took the class online and was able to get weekly assignments knocked out in maybe 2-3 hours. The projects are worded vaguely, but if you email her, she'll answer any questions. No feedback from her on projects.

This course, which I took online, was so easy! I took this course for Maymester and earned an easy A as she opened the class two weeks early. I did all of my work on time and received an A.

Took Professor Ali's ENGL 2311 online course during Maymester 2017. She opened up the course a few weeks earlier, which was beneficial. She grades quickly, however, she does not provide feedback. She also does not accept any late work. If you complete the work on time and put in the effort, you should receive an A.

Great professor. Took her class over the summer and it was easy to balance with a full time job! Consist of 10 D. posts, 10 quizzes (easy, especially with the book), & 8 Projects which are very helpful in preparing for the real world! (Ex: resume, memo). Dr. Ali is an awesome professor, I took her for 1302 online in the summer and she was amazing. She is clear to the point on what she wants, she will send reminders to you about what is due and if you want to finish before class is over she encourages you to do so. Loved this professor. I took her during the summer and had a great time. I had a rough 1301 professor that gave me a B. I am considering retaking 1301 with Prof. Ali to get my average up. Many of my friends took her in person and had a similar experience. She may ask for long papers, but it makes it super hard to get a bad grade. Recommend!

Writing was a major weakness of mine before I entered into the class but she helped me to get through it and make an A. There was a lot of reading but it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. As long as you go to class and do the work, you will get an easy A.

I took English 2332 online and I recommend her. She always replies to emails quickly and answers all questions. The class was only three weeks long so assignments are due soon. The class consisted of some journals, tests, DBs, but other than that easy A as long as work is done. Not a difficult class. Easy A. Take her!

I love this prof, I took her 1301 & 1302 both 8 week semesters. There is a lot of work because of the shortened semester, however, the stories are short, the homework is discussion boards that are then discussed in class. She creates a happy classroom atmosphere where everyone feels included. She is patient, encouraging, fair, and a fast grader.

It took me 2 semesters to get in her class because it fills quickly. That alone explains how great she is!

Passed her class with a 97. This professor is not hard at all. I enjoyed her because I felt I was actually learning rather than being critiqued on my work. She is excellent. She does not accept late work however all assignments are posted the first day. If you fail her you had to try to fail intentionally.

Took this course during a Maymester and I don't think it was that hard. The coursework is nothing but discussion boards and essays but if you can write essays really easily than this class is going to be super easy. She allows you to get a head start on the coursework before it officially starts, and that really helped me a lot.

She is a really great professor. I took her Maymester class, she was very detailed in her assignments. She had 2 Essays and one research paper 8-10 pages. As expected for a summer course, lots of things do but she gives you a clear schedule of when everything is due and of expectations. The readings are decently interesting. I don't think she's a hard grader at all. In my opinion, I turned in some low quality work that I wouldn't have turned in at my full time university and still got an A.

I cannot express how easy this class was! Although there was so much writing involved, she was not a tough grader! Everything is clearly explained and given ahead of time! Amazing class, I took this class for summer online, everything was great, you learn how to send proper emails, and you get to do memos, we had 10 DB and 6 projects and 1 final project, when u have to write on a topic it was very short and one the projects at least 2 pages, not a hard grader just do the work and you will pass it's hard to fail.

I took this class for summer 2. I love Dr. Ali she has taught me so much about writing and how to write a proper essay and reflection paper! I absolutely loved taking her online class. She was really kind and supportive. She responds to emails in a timely manner. There's a lot of writing and reading which should be expected in an English class but so long as you do your work (and pay extra attention to the instructions), you're sure to pass.

She is amazing. You do your homework on time all points yours. of course, the Homeworks are very easy. 10 Discussion Board one final project. I took a flex course and was not hectic at all. Highly recommended. Any issues she can work with you to help you the most.

ENGL1301- you can get full credit just for getting up to word count in all assignments except for timed writing and the essays; even on those, though, she is a pretty lenient grader. She also sends out reminders of when certain assignments are due so you won't forget. Put in the work and you are sure to get an A+. Definitely would take her again.

Took engl 1302 as a summer course. There is A LOT of work, but start submitting early and you'll be fine. Prof Ali is awesome, very helpful when you email her. Her class taught me a lot about researching and using quotes and paraphrases. Her class was harder than my 1301 teacher's, but it was worth it!

In this class, you have to write A LOT. The final was an 8-10 research paper. She was super lenient with late assignments and incomplete assignments. Honestly, she is a really lax grader and does not grade accurately. If you want an easy A, take this class.

Surprisingly this was an easy class. There were a lot of papers, but that is to be expected with an English class. There are always clear instructions and rubrics to follow. However, none of my assignments, including essays received any feedback. Dr. Ali also responds to emails very quickly and is helpful. Overall, this was an easy A. I recommend.

I took an 8 week online course. 3 essays, like 10 discussion boards, and 5 reflection papers. Pretty simple shes not that hard of a grader. I struggle with essays and I got A's on all of mine. Only downside is every assignment is due at 10pm so you don't get that extra 2 hrs. Work hard DONT procrastinate it only makes it harder. Great professor!

I took professor Ali during Fall 2022 and she is a really good instructor with how she wants you to do things. She has many youtube video links, examples, and she responds quickly to emails.

I took her this spring 2023 as an online course for English 1302 and she was really clear on when assignments where due just make sure everything is turned in on time. Since I took her English class we did have to write a ton but she made the topics interesting, overall great teacher.

Great teacher to take for 1301 if you aren't great at essay writing. She teaches you how to write good essays and made having to write multiple page essays way easier. Love the readings she assigned.

She is an amazing english professor. I highly recommend taking any of her courses. If you see her name register for the course ASAP!

I absolutely loved shazia! she made my English career a breeze at Dallas College. I would HIGHLY recommend any of her literature courses. She was my Engl 1301 and World Literature professor. She's funny, easy to communicate with, gives awesome feedback and grades.

If you need to take literature take her. Don't even think about taking someone else.

She is one of the best professors, and I recommend her class. Writing heavy but should be fine as long as work is turned in on time. There are two major essays, but they have clear outlines and should be easier than any other class. With a clear outline for every assignment, getting an A in her course is easy. It was an eight week course for Fall.

I liked how laid back she is. Her class is easy if the work is done in a timely matter. This is my first class outside of high school. I will recommend.

Read the textbook!!! Most assignments are based on participation. They are very short-answer and discussion-heavy, but that should be expected out of a college literature class. Professor Ali is very nice and understanding, turn in assignments on time and you will receive an A.

I took the maymester english course and since it was three weeks long, we had a lot of work. However, the assignments were very easy and never took me long to finish. We had an essay due each week and I found them easy to write. Dr. Ali is an easy grader and is amazing! Would definitely recommend this course and professor.
